Ress sunk lower, timid eyes eased. “I’ll just do it,” she murmured, her legs sinking to the ground and pressing her hands to it, she took a deep breath, and some of the shadows and darkness wished towards her, and she winced as she did so. Yet the sky started to clear up a tad, it seemed.
Rose huffed angrily, “Why are you helping them? Your only hurting yourself, y’know?” She snapped, before glaring at 13 once more, “- you” her curse wasn’t nice either, and she spat it out angrily.

The food was laced with something to lessen their energy. A day passed without much else happening. The next afternoon, Jerome's door was opened. A man stood at the door, armed and ready to lead him away.
---
"I'm being summoned. Just make sure you don't touch anything," Zed told Hornet with a wink, before striding over to Blink.
"These need fixing," Blink told him, motioning the broken goggles.
Zed sighed, picking up the goggles. "I assumed as much when you came in, but you really should be more careful. Do you have any idea how expensive it is to find these materials?" He shook his head. "Serves me right for taking in a reckless brat," he said with a smirk, punching Blink in the arm. Blink winced, since it was his wounded shoulder.
---
Ollie blinked in surprise at 13, and kept his mouth closed almost guiltily. He watched the interaction between 13, Ress, and Rose with confusion.

Jerome looked up when the door opened.'Who's there?"He asked the figure.
Philo stretched as he walked down the street. With Steve meeting with the boss,he didn't have to worry about him touching the wrong people.

"That doesn't concern you. Now come," the man replied blandly, frowning at Jerome. He held his gun pointed at Jerome the entire time, as if he expected him to try something.

"Right now, there are about 2 people ever that I would hear reason from. One of them, Holly, isn't here to help talk me down. So, unless you've got some more uplifting things to say, I suggest you shut your-" despite not believing in a God, he sure invoked his name, "-mouth until Enix gets here." With a sigh, he watched Ress. "Hopefully she'll have a scrap of idea."

Hornet's eyes widened with interest and edged closer, on her tiptoes to see passed them the goggles. Expensive materials meant the piece of equipment was likely top-of-the-line, and highly valued. Unlike her gear- the only thing special was Nail, her wonderful weapon.

"Ooh. Looks like you have an owie. Who'd you fight now? Must've been someone good, eh, eh?" Zed prompted, nudging his wounded shoulder some more.
"Will you stop?" Blink snapped, swinging his arm out to shove Zed away.
Zed ducked with a chuckle. "Oh come on, you never tell me what happens when you're out there."
"That's because there's nothing to say." Blink rolled his eyes and turned away. "Why do I even come here anymore," he muttered, walking away and into another room.
Zed watched Blink leave, and sighed once he was out of the room. "I'll get through to him one of these days." Noticing Blink's pack on the counter, he grinned and started rifling through it. "So... How'd you two meet?" he asked Hornet without looking at her.
---
The man grunted, but didn't respond. When Jerome came, he clapped on a pair of heavy-duty handcuffs. He then proceeded to guide him down the empty white halls. Eventually, they came into a room with a chair and a few bars of varying metals on stands. Opposite of the chair, was what appeared to be a window. It was black and impossible to see through.

“Shut up!” Rose snapped, obvious anger in her voice, but cursing once more when some sunlight peaked over the darkness, banishing the rest, or, some of it one some sunlight was revealed.
Ress frowned, drawing it, and sighing, curling in on herself some, guilt and regret eating at her.
Enix walked up towards 13, resting a hand on his shoulder, trying to be comforting.
When sunlight hit the area, the figure that faded before reappeared, eyes closed, floating limply a few feet in the air, human. Tension ate at her body, before, like some cord was snapped, she dropped the ground, falling before taking a large gasp of air, as if breathing for the first time in her life. Her eyes flung open as she did so, forcing her head up, her evergreen eyes wide, pained it seemed, and more conerning, black drops dripped from her eyes, and darkness seemed to sleep through her hands and into the ground, and her veins held what seemed to be black blood, though it seemed to be washing out through her hands and eyes. The crystals no longer were glowing, instead, Holly se med to be a caricature of who she was before the instance.

(Aw man. Poor Holly!) --- The man just smirked, and took off the handcuffs. He closed the door behind him, and the lock clicked into place.
"You are doing pretty well, considering the amount of the gas you breathed in," a woman's voice came out through speakers in the room. The same female agent that had met him before.

Jerome chuckled."A little gas is the least of my problems."He looked around.Apart from the blurry sight,it didn't look much like the room he was previously in."What is this place?"

Ollie's stared at 13. What did he say that was so bad? What was even going on right now?! Why did nothing make any sense! Of course, he said none of these things. He didn't want to get yelled at by 13. The sky had brightened once again. Whatever Ress did, it must have worked. So she was still their friend? He didn't have much time to contemplate on this, because next thing he knew, Holly appeared. She wasn't touching the ground. She was just... floating there. "Holly?" he murmured, somewhat nervous. Then she lifted her head, and Ollie was shocked to see a strange and somewhat chilling sight of small black streams coming from her eyes and hands. What- was she okay? He remained rooted where he stood, shocked as he was.
(Sorry if you guys were waiting for me. I thought maybe I'd let you guys go ahead. Then after a while, I thought I might as well write something. ^^)

If you could hear a smile, the woman behind the speaker surely must have been. "Just wondering if you can bend those bars of metal there." There was, in fact three metal bars held between two stands each. Each had varying strengths, though all were a stronger sort of metal.
(You can decide what the metals are, if you want. If you want me to decide, I can. ^^)

"Vibranium," the speaker replied smugly. The agent set down the pen from her notes.

Zed pulled out a couple large bottles of vitamin C (I meant vitamin D. I always get mixed up between the two. XD), a couple pill containers, as well as a small capsule of an unknown liquid. He nodded all the while Hornet spoke. "Ah, so that's why you're here." He smiled to himself, and glanced the way Blink had left. The door he had exited was closed. Good.

Enix looked offended, huffing as she shrugged her away, but not because of his actions...
Rose seemed to accomplish plenty, for once the seed of doubt had been planted, it only grew.
Holly stood still, before her eyes focused once more, and she let off a few coughs before simply sitting. A small smile came to her face, rather fake regardless, “Well, it’s been one heck of a birthday.” She started, and Kyoko could be heard grunting at the comment. “I’m...sorely confused about what in the world just happened to me, but I’m going to roll with it. Night’s gone, he can finally have peace in Dreamscape.”
Enix glared her way, “You killed him.” She accused.
Holly turned back, seemingly uninterested as she shrugged, “No, banished as I did with other demons. You, Enix, have no regard for judging another’s actions in regards to killing, in that field, my friend, you aren’t exactly innocent either.” She simply stated. Enix looked angry, and Daphne just sighed, Holly was right in that regard. Enix May have done so for the right reasons, but suggesting to kill, and causing death even to villains wasn’t ever an awnser he would turn to. Not that Enix had done so herself, but she did suggest it, and acted with intent to do so.
Then again, at that time an evil alternate universe version of many of the heroes kind of flocked in the universe with the intent to take all the crystals and dominate the worlds. Literal demons were faced in the conflict, and Enix had been a proponent of killing the foe. Holly, at that time, was missing(again) and ended up showing last minute, seemingly killing her own alternate version. Neither was really innocent in the actions they took.
(References to Worlds Collide. Arty and Gamer and I still are finishing it up, but I’m waiting for them to return. A lot of fun stuff was revealed about their characters too, but I don’t want to share that, that stuff is up to them. However, a lot of character development did take place.)

"Oh, you know. To make sure you don't try anything." She didn't mention how they collected rare metals and traded them in exchange for high tech weaponry and such. In fact, their dealer was due to arrive in a few days. There was a sound like a door opening. "Wha-" at that point, the mic turned off.

When Holly started talking, Ollie found that he could breath again. "You can say that again," he muttered quietly to Holly's comment about the birthday. That was when Enix and Holly started arguing. Ollie took a step back, not wanting to get involved into whatever kind of fight this was. Why were they even fighting? The creepy guy in black was gone. Holly made sure of that. So... what was wrong now?

(Just for the sake of giving her a name...)
The door to Agent May's side-room opened. May looked over with annoyance. "What are you doing here?" she said, as she turned off the sound link.
"The girl-"
"Did something happen with the girl?" her voice was sharp.
The young man who entered seemed quite nervous. He was clearly one of the newer workers here. Who had been the one who put him on the job? "Well, um... Not exactly." He paused and glanced at the room Jerome was in when he started to speak.
"So, you're out of place here," came Jerome's voice from the speaker in her room. What was that man rambling about now?
"What do you mean not exactly?!" she snapped, impatient now.
"She said she wouldn't do anything until she got to see- well, him," he replied, motioning to the window they could see through.
Rosie slipped into the room. She wore no handcuffs because it turned out they had none her size. After all, the newbie had thought she was harmless enough.
"You brought the girl?!" Agent May exclaimed, standing abruptly.
Rosie spotted the window, and her eyes widened in excitement when she spotted Jerome. "Jerome!" she exclaimed, running over to the window. The window of course was shatter proof one-way glass, so Jerome wouldn't likely have seen or heard anything that had happened in the next room other than the 'what-" at the very beginning.
