Aℓαѕкα and Tᥲffყ Roleplay
Plot:Jenny Winster is a 27-year-old mom of two trouble making toddlers. Between her job(s), her kids, and her social life, she is seriously falling behind. In a last resort, she hires a 19-year-old highschool-dropout to help out. Will Jenny get more than she bargained for? Characters:Amarissa Selene Estrella || Tᥲffყ Female || 19 || 5’1 Amarissa, called Rissa for short, is a sullen, temperamental, and often times, she is hard to handle. The best way to describe this teen is to call her a force of nature, because that is what she is. She is calm, yet dangerous and unpredictable. She is clever and cunning and a little mischievous. You will never know what to expect for Rissa, unless it is wit. If you expect wit or sarcasm from the girl, you will always get it. Now, Riss is a short and petite little thing, but she makes up for it with her big personality. Standing about 5’1 and weighing 95 pounds, this girl looks a few years younger than her actual age of 19. She possesses an hourglass body shape, with curvy thighs and chest. She has long, wavy, midnight blue hair that almost looks black. It tumbles far past her shoulders, but stops before reaching her hips. There are always locks that fall into her face. Her eyes, surrounded by thick, dark lashes, are coloured in a way that would make the moon envious. Rich in a glowing silver, specked with blue, her eyes are almost hypnotic. Rissa’s skin is fair, looking as if it is untouched by the light of the sun. It is offset by freckles even whiter than the skin they are decked across. A black birthmark under her left eye, shaped like a crescent moon, finishes the look. When talking, Amarissa has a soft, honey like voice. Very feminine and almost melodic, due to her affection for music. Her voice seems to match her mannerisms of appearing delicate and sweet. Though, upon getting to know, that is just an appearance and definitely not true. Ami, another nickname, has an interesting sense of self-worth. While she is not always happy with herself, she refuses to let other people act the same. Her fears are widespread and don’t always makes sense. Ranging from bugs to heights to fires, she is a pretty skittish person. She never lets that stop her, though. Her sense of humour is probably her most obvious point. She seems to have a twisted and dark humour, relying heavily on insults and sarcasm. Witty one-liners seem to be her go to. Ami’s overall attitude depends heavily on the place, people present, and situation, though it is almost always annoyed. Her worst habits/personality traits would be her constant need for apologizing(even if she didn’t do anything), bottling emotions, buying things and never using them, and fidgeting. She just can’t sit still.
Amarissa can be a picky eater, yet an excellent chef. She only ever cooks for herself due to her hatred of most foods, especially foods consisting of meats. Her absolute favourite thing to eat, though, is pasta. She loves the colour blue and the sky at midnight. Classical music is probably the only thing she listens to. Rissa’s hobbies and favourite things to do consist of drawing, playing instruments she knows, yoga, gymnastics, drawing, and anything having to do with the water. Her partner in crime is Eclipse, a domestic marble fox. Mallory Raven Winster || 4 || Tᥲffყ Mallory, aka Mal, is a 4-year-old trouble maker. This little girl is a natural disaster with fair skin, a mess of golden curls, and big blue eyes. Don't let her adorableness fool you, she is a handful. More like a truck-full. Jenny Winster || 27 || Aℓαѕкα Joseph Winster || 9 || Aℓαѕкα Other Facts:The house is a cute two-story, four bedroom townhouse wedged between dozens of others just like it. It is located smack dab in the middle of the city. Jenny has the master bedroom. Joseph and Mallory each have their own room. The spare room becomes Amarissa's. Amarissa's Room to be added Mallory's Room Decked out with baby pink walls and off-white furniture, Mal's room looks like it belongs to a princess. She has a plethora of stuffed animals littered throughout and art supplies. The major features are a bed, nightstand, dresser, bookshelf, barre, gym mat, and a fuzzy, royal purple rug [/div]

✶ᴏᴏᴄ- Is this good? ✶ɪᴄ- A cool breeze flung a deep blue lock of hair across Amarissa's pale face. She hastily tucked it behind her ear and glanced around. The park was crowded, but that was a given on this beautiful day. So many parents and children running around and screaming at the top of their lungs. It was almost enough to give the girl a headache, but not quite. Rissa wasn't actually in the park at the current moment. Instead, she was seated on a particularly thick tree branch several yards away. She wasn't much for crowded places, so why she moved to the city was beyond her. Ahh, yes, she needed a job. That is what brought her to this location. Silver eyes cast downward to her calloused hands, staring at the flyer she gripped so tightly. She had already memorized every word on the page. Some single mother of two was looking for a live-in nanny and was willing to pay. The colourful piece of paper caught her eye the second she saw it. Free rent? She'd watch the devil's kids if it meant having somewhere to live. Okay, maybe not the devil's kids. Ever since Amarissa was 16 and dropped out of high school, life hadn't been easy. She worked as a babysitter for as long as she could. Working with kids seemed to be one of the few things the girl actually enjoyed. When it came to people, at least. Yeah, Ami was not a people person. She barely even tolerated her family. Of course, she didn't have a reason to. The second she turned 18, her parents threw her out to figure life out on her own. They didn't even wish her a happy birthday. So here she was, bare legs dangling off the branch; waiting for her meeting with super mom. No, the woman was not late. In fact, the blue haired girl had shown up extra early just to make sure the job was hers. It was necessary.

(( Yup, that's wonderful. c: ))
Both hands were occupied by the chattering children as they walked side by side Jenny, who was clearly focused on the task ahead rather than what they were both bickering on about although she'd occasionally tune back in to what they were saying. Joseph was clearly displeased that they were heading away from the jungle gym but Jenny piped up with explaining they were heading towards the swing sets instead but the little boy merely grumbled at this. The mother gave a chuckle while squeezing his small hand with her medium sized one, her olive skin seeming much darker in the sunlight than when she was in the shade but her bright hazel eyes still stood out on her teardrop face, she was a tall woman with a few extra pounds but really didn't seem the type to fuss about such a thing. She was a confident woman, her stride always seeming fierce and quick, with her expression pleasant and calm. Coming into the park's lawn, Joseph shouted at his sister to come join him as he cheerfully pranced towards the swings clearly seeming to have gotten over his dissatisfaction which Jenny was definitely thankful for. Her gaze followed both children closely as she headed off to a table. Now looking around, her nerves shot right up while finally coming back to what she was doing her. She had gotten a call about her post over needing a nanny and they both decided to meet her, Jenny obviously keeping her guard up about this said person since she was inviting someone into her home and around her kids. Giving a sigh, the woman swept her brown bangs away from her face as her pale pink lips pursed in a stressed expression. She knew Amarissa would be here but just not where, exactly. Her eyes once again scanned the area until she found dangling legs off a branch, the woman raised a slight eyebrow before launching off the bench and striding over to the tree. Her gaze quickly fell upon exactly who she was looking for, "I'm assuming you're Amarissa?" The woman piped up while glancing over her shoulder, just to make sure her kids were doing okay.
(( Ahh, sorry for such a late reply. Got caught up in some stuff. x_x This was also super terrible which I swear it's not always like this. ))

✶ᴏᴏᴄ-It's totally okay, take your time. Sorry I didn't post all day. I was really sick and couldn't even sit up. Weirdly, it is gone now. //shrug ✶ɪᴄ- Amarissa was in her own world. Head pressed against the thick trunk of the tree, midnight hair gently floating around. Her eyes were lightly shut, exposing a blue-ish shade of eyeshadow swirled onto the eyelids. Light breathing was probably the only thing she was actually doing. She knew she should probably come down from her perch so her future boss could find her, but she just wasn't motivated enough to actually do it. "I'm assuming you're Amarissa?" The voice cut through the young girl's thoughts like a knife. She jerked her eyes wide open and body forward, heart racing due to the unexpected startle. Two silver orbs glanced down to where the voice originated from. She saw an older woman and studied her appearance with a strong gaze. It was as though everything that the woman was entered through Ami's eyes. She took in every physical ounce of her soon to be boss. From her mom figure and hazel eyes to her brown hair and height that obviously surpassed the teen. With a sigh, a push, and a light swing, Amarissa dismounted from the tree with the skill and grace of a cat. Her black combat boots slammed down on the grass, her hands on each side, gracing the top of the greenery. Cautiously, she stood up as her hair fell into her face. With a pale as white hand, she ran her fingers through her deep blue locks, removing them from her sight, revealing her piercing silver eyes that seemed to glow. She grabbed the deep blue messenger bag that rested at the foot of the tree and slung it over her bare, freckled shoulder. With a quick smooth of her black skirt, pulling down the end that had flipped up, she took a deep breath and held out her hand. "That I am, Miss Winster. Amarissa Estrella. I must say, you look a lot different than how you sounded over the phone." Sweet, melodic words came from the petite girl's mouth as she gave a friendly smile.
Mallory Winster happily ran after her older brother towards the swing set. Her thick golden curls that she received from her father's genetics bounced happily from her little head. Her blue eyes widened as she came closer to the swings. Though the little girl did not enjoy the park for its usual recreation, she always found a way to entertain herself in different ways. Placing her little hands on the seat of the 'grown up' swing, she pushed herself up onto it. Now standing where she should sit, she began climbing up the chains. She was probably sure her mother regretted signing her up for gymnastics and tumbling. "Joey! Look at me!" Mal's shrill, childish voice called to the attention of her brother from her position on top of the swing set. "I'm a birdie!"

(( Oh, man, I really hope you stay okay. :c Perfectly fine about the late reply though since mine is seriously late too. Today has been busy and I haven't found just enough time to sit down and write but thankfully I do now. I'm so tired though. X_X" ))
Jenny watched as the woman jumped off the branch, she gave a pleasant smile while chuckling at her comment, "You'd be surprised how much I hear that," She joked while brushing her bangs out of her eyes. Her voice never really seemed to match her body but, then again, she did acquire this certain gtne ever since she had her bundles of trouble. The mother of two took a second to look over her possible helper, she was young and didn't exactly give off the 'I love kids' vibe which sent the woman into a spiral of questions. It made her nervous if this was really the right choice but also knew her real choices were absolutely nonexistent, Amarissa was the first to reach out after a month of having that flyer up. A sigh soon escaped while her hands slipped into her faded blue jeans, her black loose blouse clinging ever so slightly to her curves as she pursed her lips in a puzzled manner. "So, tell me a bit more about yourself? Have you been a nany for long? Worked with kids a lot? What's the normal age group you work with?" Jenny suddenly began flooding the poor younger woman with her motherly side shining through as bright as possible. She seemed almost hyped to be able to drive these questions home and learn as much as physically possible about Amarissa. The older woman soon took a small step back, seeing as the tree was blocking her view, her gaze followed her two children merely messing about on the swings although her attention went back to Amarissa just as Mallory began her trouble.
Joey was a clumsy bundle of energy, he had a mess of light brown hair with his mother's hazel eyes and a light olive that really only showed itself when he was tanned up. He was a tiny bit tall for his age but obviously a little huskier than usual, getting his mom's bigger structure of bones but none of this stopped him while he began fussing with the smaller swings. His attention was soon turned towards his sister though, seeing her climb high which didn't bode well with the two year old. "Mommy said we could play, not be dangerous," He had a matter of fact type of tone although his speech was far from being perfect. He had a slight lisp and seemingly a hard time at saying things with a G but it didn't stop him from trying. Joseph walked over to Mallory and then looked towards Jenny, being surprised by the new figure that stood beside her. He looked back at his sister before pointing towards Jen, "Mommy has a new friend and she wouldn't like you climbing so high," He muttered the last bit before crossing his arms over his bright colored tshirt while giving a pondering look at Mallory, silently asking her to get down before they both get into trouble. He knew his sister all too well though and the last thing the two year old really wanted was to end up crying, he obviously trying to be more mature than his little body could actually keep up with but he tried. Joey knew his mother struggled a lot and merely tried his best to help her even though he really couldn't do much, plus, had his own tantrums when the maturity would dissolve.

✶ᴏᴏᴄ- We will probably always have late replies back and forth. I only get on in the evenings. And, I am feeling better. Much better. ✶ɪᴄ- Rissa gave an airy laugh at the mother's many questions. With a graceful plop, the girl slid into the grass, seating herself. She ignored the tickle from the blades against her thighs and sighed. "Miss, I have been around children my whole life. My aunt was a childcare worker and I spent most of my time with her. The first time I cared for an infant by myself, I was eight years old. I got into the babysitting business as soon as I turned 12. I have never been a live in nanny before, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it quickly enough." With practised precision, Amarissa fired off answers for the single mother. She hoped to soothe her worries by covering all aspects of her past with children. While her fingers weaved around in the grass, her eyes remained trained on her future boss. A small bee landed on a flower near the girl's foot, she paid it little attention. Instead, she continued her verbal resume. "I usually work with infants to age ten. I believe that your little ones fall into that category." The blue haired girl inhaled sharply through her nose. "And I know that I look young and not exactly the most family-friendly. But, looks really are deceiving. I have my fair share of problems, nobody is perfect and I can admit to that. However, I will try my hardest to be the best for you and your kids."
"Joey's such a buzzkill." The four-year-old daredevil muttered under her breath with a lisp from her baby teeth. She had her legs wrapped around the pole, safely pinning herself above the swings. 'S' sounds seemed to be the little girl's worst enemy. That, and her family members ruining her fun. They never seemed to understand her idea of a good time. Her father's blue eyes, stuck in the big doe eyes of the toddler, glanced down. She was very high off of the ground, but even she could tell that her brother was getting close to an outburst. Her little, pink lips curved upward on one side as her eyes narrowed. Mal was going to have some fun with her worrywart brother. "Hey Joe-Joe!" She called out gaining the toddler's attention. Before she was one hundred percent sure that she had it, she loosened her grip on the pole seating her. The girl took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Her body slid off of the pole in one quick movement. It was enough to speed her heart rate up. Her legs were still wrapped around the object, the bare skin keeping friction. Now, she was dangling upside down, about ten feet off the ground. "Betcha can't do this!" Mallory exclaimed, sticking her tongue out and blowing a raspberry at the older boy.

(( That's totally okay with me then since I also come on incredibly late. I'm so glad you're doing better, really. c: Also, I keep noticing that you're tagging me in these super sweet posts and I just want to say thank you. It's like such a surprise but really, really nice. C": ))
The mother, while still standing, cautiously took in the presence of Amarissa. She seemed nice, smart, and very respectable which is honestly exactly what she needed in her life. Most would absolutely not say Jenny's a bad mother, even if she'll instantly admit she has already made a bunch of mistakes, it'd be more said that she's overworked and too stubborn to ever ask for real help although that was changing today. Jen was nervous, scared even, that this whole plan would fall through the floor and she'd have to figure out what would be next but that spark of hope lingered in her heart as she carefully took in what Rissa's answers were. A long and deep breath escaped the woman's mouth, her shoulders slightly dropping as she seemed to relax just a little, "That's really fantastic to hear. I was worried you'd have literally no experience," Jenny gave a chuckle while shifting her weight between each black sneaker she wore. The mother was clearly impressed and almost seemed to perk up a little with excitement, or maybe that was just more hope, she obviously seemed to look like she needed a break for even just a minute. However, such an inquiry was halted as her ears picked up the chaltering of her kids, her eyes widened and snapped towards their direction while her gaze fell on Mallory who was doing exactly what she was afraid of. The pure regret of letting her daughter always take these risky moves made the woman's heart sink, she really just wanted Mal to not be so dangerous. She was really terrified that one day she'd end up more than just hurt. "Mallory Raven Winster, get down right this instant!" The mother shouted out, a mumble of an apology and I'll be back came towards Rissa while she stomped towards her children. Jenny, with worry in her eyes and a slight twinge of annoyance in her tone, was now standing mere inches away from the two. She sighed and shook her head, "Mallory, what are you thinking? That's too high, we've talked about this," The mother had nothing but concern in her tone as she calmly spoke to her daughter now. Jenny reached out and offered her help to the four year old, really not wishing for a tantrum if she did have to grab her instantly.
Joey, while carefully observing his sister, continued shaking his head and then completely lost his patience while seeing her climb so high. The boy flailed his arms and stomped his feet, making what sounded like bird tweets but was actually him just blabbering about getting down. "Mal, don't. Mommy is busy, don't do that," Joseph screeched while watching his sister hang up sidearly down and then moved under her, thinking in his mind, if she fell she'd at least land on him which would mean she'd land on something softer although that'd also wind up with him being hurt too. Joey soon heard his mother's voice shatter through the, what seemed like, silence. His eyes widened and he tried jumping to get Mallory down fromy there although eyes very attempt was futile. "You're gonna be in so much trouble now," The two year old mumbled with his shoulderstomach dropped while he realized the rest of the day was really going to be just another Mallory. It wasn't hat the boy was jealous or envious of his sister, he just wish she'd think of what their mother was going through instead of all this monkey business. All was too late though as Jenny was marching her way up to her kids and now impatiently stood beside them.
(( Kinda regretting having put Joey as two considering he'd be way better at like seven or eight. XD ))

✶ᴏᴏᴄ-Aww, I'm just tagging the people I think are super cool and I want to know. c: Lol, you can change Joey's age ✶ɪᴄ- Rissa grinned upward at the young mother. She seemed more relaxed and sure of this arrangement than when she first arrived. The blue-haired girl assumed it was due to her answers. She was glad to ease the woman's nerves. A woman who seemed to have a lot going on with her life. Parents, especially single parents, had a rough time. Riss just wanted to be someone that Jen could rely on. Someone worth trusting. Her grin turned to a deep frown at the shouting from the other woman. A quick apology was sent her way as she ran off. Almost immediately, the girl was on her feet. Quickly catching up, she saw what the conundrum was. The little four-year-old was hanging upside down from the swing set. Dangling about three feet above her mother, the toddler would not make it into her mother's arms. Not without hurting the both of them. Amarissa was reminded of herself while looking at the golden haired child. She always was a daredevil who had an affinity for heights. It was easy to get lost in a world above people. Almost seeming as though she was alone and nobody else mattered. And then there was the rush one would get. Climbing up higher than the safety recommendations, getting down on your own. There was a thrill to it that just excited some. It seemed that little Mallory Winster was one of those people. "I don't know if you can reach her from here. If you want, I can go up and get her." Amarissa murmured up at Jenny. She mentally cursed her petite height. Why would the mother take that request seriously. Her lips curved downwards. "I used to be a gymnast. I could get up and her down in a minute."
"Mallory Raven Winster, get down here right this instant!" Her mother's shrill yell shocked the young girl horribly. Her big blue eyes widened even further in fear as her grip loosened slightly. Oh no, oh no. Busted Her thoughts consisted of being discovered by her mother. She was going to get into so much trouble. She probably wouldn't get dessert for a week. Or worse, a month! She would be grounded for life. Mallory scolded herself for being so reckless and impulsive. She really didn't like to get in trouble or worry her mom. The little girl just never thought things through properly. She tried to curl up to grasp the pole, so she could climb down and face her punishment. Her tiny heart began to race as she realised that she couldn't curl up enough to reach the pole. She couldn't get back up, and in turn, she couldn't get down. She was stuck! Tears formed in her eyes as she began to wiggle around in fear. "Mommy! I'm stuck." Her high-pitched voice cried out. "Mommy, HELP!"

(( Well, I still totally appreciate it. c": I also would like to change his age then. I'm feeling he'd fit a nine year old. ))
Jenny was worriedly watching her daughter dangle from the pole, her eyes now shifting to the woman who followed, "You're exactly right. I may be tall but I'm not that tall and I'm afraid she'Lloyd possibly get hurt if she jumps. Please, get her," Jen spoke just as Mallory found she was completely stuck. The mother's heart leapt into action, a lump forming in her throat as she watched her child struggle. "Sweetheart, stay calm, Amarissa will get you," The older female spoke with a calm but firm tone, her eyes never moving from the four year old and made sure she was still lined up below her, too afraid she'd slip although she did trust Rissa to rescue her. That word entered and exited the woman's mind since she had better things to pay attention to, it was just that she was putting this new girl into a position of where she did have the mother's trust although that fact scared her even more than she'd ever admit.
Joey, while watching everyone panic, really didn't know what to do and simply began crying with his sister. His heart was in his throat and he was scared for everyone too although his mother calm tone came to soothe the boy. He'd let the weakness get to him again, he quickly wiping his eyes and standing beside Jenny while trying his best to crank his head back to look at the daredevil, he was obviously understanding now that it wasn't that big of deal considering this happened a lot. Joe almost snorted at that fact but kept completely silent instead, knowing his mom would scold him if he was caught snorting at his little sister for always getting into danger and trouble. It wasn't like he was at perfect child though, no, he was far from it considering he did poorly in school and didn't exactly attend a whole lot which merely stressed Jenny beyond a high level but he tried still. He would try a lot and then merely give up so now they were here, getting help because his mom really couldn't do this on her own. It angered him that the other person who was supposed to be there for her and them wasn't around. Joseph was reeled back into reality as he patiently stood beside the adults, readying himself still to catch his little sister if anything happened.

✶ᴏᴏᴄ-Okay. I can change his age. c: ✶ɪᴄ- Amarissa tossed her bag from her shoulders carelessly onto the ground. Her mind worked out different routes to get to the child without causing her to lose her balance. Adrenaline kicked into overdrive. If she didn't perform this rescue just right, that little girl would have a broken arm. She swallowed and took a deep breath, closing her eyes for a second. The other swing was the best bet. Mallory was too close to the one she must have climbed up to get stuck. Making her way over to the swing, she placed one foot on the seat. In one swift movement, she pulled herself up. The sing swayed a little from the added weight, but she paid it no attention. Riss tucked herself down, knees bent, and sprung herself up. Her hands grasped the pole and in a fluid motion, her muscles lifted her entire body up. Years of training to be an Olympic gymnast apparently prepared the young woman for a rescue mission. She almost laughed at the thought but kept her mind focused. She swung her foot over the pole, straddling it between her legs. Once in a steady position, she shimmied across the swing set towards the toddler. "Hey there, kiddo." Amarissa said softly, pulling Mallory up so she wasn't dangling upside down anymore. "You doing alright?" The little girl gave a slight nod, her teary eyes wide in awe. "Okay. We are going to get you down, but you gotta listen to my every instruction." Rissa explained in her light voice. Another nod came from the golden haired child, so she began the rest of her plan. With Mallory close to her chest and a strong, yet kind demand to hold on tight, the blue-haired girl slowly moved her leg from its straddle position. Now sitting atop the swing set, she tightly grasped the pole in her hands and descended. With little arms strangling her neck, she now dangled from the post. Her feet were still far from the ground, but she wasn't worried. The teen had fallen from further heights and walked away with just a few scratches. Checking to make sure the child still had a tight grip, she let go of the pole and landed swiftly on her feet. "See, that wasn't so bad. But we probably don't want to do that again." Amarissa smiled brightly as she placed little Mallory on the grass. The girl gave a nod and ran over to her mom.
Mallory Winster knew she was in trouble. She really shouldn't have gone all the way up the swing set and she definitely should not have dangled upside down. As fun as the rush was, the consequences were not as fun. She barely heard what her mother said to her. Or what anyone was saying in general. Her only thought was holding onto the pole for dear life. When hands wrapped around her, she was a little worried that letting go would cause her to fall; regardless of someone else's grasp. But whoever held onto her had more strength and easily pulled her free. She was no longer upside down. Tears still streaking her face, she looked up at her rescuer with awe. She took in the odd blue hair and silver eyes, wondering if they were fake or she was just weird. Mal didn't even hear a syllable come from the older girl's mouth. All she did was wrapped herself tightly around the woman and nod. There was a rush of air that raised her heart rate up. Before Mallory knew it, her little sandals were up against grass. She was safe on the ground! A large, toothy smile spread across her pale face as she ran to her mom's arms. "Mommy!"

(( Thank you. c: ))
The worried woman watched as Amarissa climbed towards her daughter, her heart was still pounding against her chest as she anxiously awaited for Mallory to be rescued. She watched as the young female gracefully made her way towards the four year old, she drummed her fingers impatiently against the chains of the swings while still having her gaze solely focused on her daughter. A long and deep breath was exhaled while she watched the woman jumped down, "Thank you so much," She quietly spoke while gathering her troublemaker into her arms while kneeling onto the ground, hugging her tightly to her chest. Jenny knew she'd give a long scolding towards her but, for right now, she was just grateful Mal didn't end up breaking any bones or have a concussion. Except those feelings soon vanished as she realized she had to make sure the little girl knew exactly how much trouble she was in so she untangled her arms and stared strictly at her daughter's eyes. "You absolutely scared me so much, Mallory. How many times must you do this?" Her tone was low and slightly annoyed although it did come off very threatening with how deep she was going, "You're lucky this wonderful girl was here or else you could've seriously ended up really, really hurt," Jenny now spoke with a more calm and worried voice, her gaze softening while watching the little one. She sighed deeply and began lightly grazing the girl's arms in a soothing way, understanding she also was scared over this. Jenny mulled over what she'd do and how'd she say what was to come next, she obviously needed to talk to Rissa more which she'd do, but for right now Mallory definitely needed to be watched more closely and was not allowed anymore fun time for today. "You're grounded for a week, Mal. No games, no dessert, no outside time. Nothing for a whole week," The mother nodded to herself while giving such a speech to her daughter, her voice was stern yet deep down knew this punishment wasn't really going to last if Mallory somehow wiggled her way out with her charm even if Jen tried her hardest to be a strict parent but also a nice one too. It was hard being two roles in one but maybe that'll change, considering the mother was really impressed with how Amarissa did. Standing up and brushing off the strains of grass that stuck themselves to her pants, she side swept her hair out of her face while giving a quick flick of the tongue across her growing parched lips, "I think I will hire you," The woman announced while gazing at the young female, hoping this news would delight her.
Joseph was merely a standby helper while the whole incident fell apart, he was definitely curious as to who this new woman was but figured his mother would soon explain such a thing. His hearing was fully perked as he heard Jenny talk about hiring Amarissa but didn't know what that fully meant yet. He was quite curious, to say the least.

✶ᴏᴏᴄ- Sorry this one isn't that long. I have a killer headache. ✶ɪᴄ- Mallory held onto her mother's body in a tight hug. She knew that she was in for a world of trouble and she was right. As soon as their reunited embrace was ceased, she was grounded. No fun for a whole week? She'd go stir crazy and get grounded even further. This was a recipe for disaster for the rambunctious toddler. "I'm sorwy mama." She whispered, looking down at her feet. She gave her toes a little wiggle as her mouth turned into a frown.
Amarissa watched the mother and daughter reunite. She gave a slight nod as a 'your welcome' to the mother's thanks. Her silver eyes studied the interaction between the two and felt a sliver of jealousy. She was never close with her own mother and wondered what her life would've been like if they had this kind of relationship. Instead of her mom just signing her up for classes that would keep her out of the house for as long as possible. For the entire exchange, the blue-haired girl felt a little odd. She was witnessing a family moment that she was not a part of. She was just a bystander awkwardly watching a little girl get scolded. Her eyes wandered around, trying to focus on anything else. At least until the mother and daughter were done. Riss's wish was granted early as the older woman stood and faced her. "I think I will hire you," were announced to the teen. Her lips turned up into a bright smile, eyes glowing with joy. "Thank you. I will make sure you won't regret this." Her airy voice had obvious delight to it. The nineteen-year-old would no longer be considered homeless.

(( Oh, absolutely no worries. I hope you feel better though. Dx ))
Jenny exhaled long and hard while she watched her daughter silently stare at the ground with a saddened expression, she knew the toddler rally didn't mean to misbehave so badly but the mother knew she couldn't let that dangerous behavior go because, one day, Mallory could wind up with something fatal. The woman focused back into her new hired nanny, she gave a warm smile while her eyes met Rissa's and she cheerfully nodded, "I'm glad. I'm sure you'll do wonderful and I promise I'm not a bad boss," Jenny gave a obvious joking wink with a light chuckle rumbling out of her throat. The female knew the incident was long over with and felt at ease as she grabbed both her kids hands, gave them a squeeze, and then began moving away from the swing set. "I'm assuming you'll want start tomorrow since you'll want to begin moving your stuff in and I'm sure you have to make some. I at least have the rest of the day off so I'll watch the kids," The mother seemed like she was asking questions even though it was more like a statement. Her expression was pleasant but now calm seeing as she knew her work load would finally be getting lighter or she at least hoped as much, she was definitely going to make the rest of the day relaxing though. Hoping the children would follow such a role too but knew that was mere fantasy.
(( Ack, that's kinda small too, sorry. x_x ))

(After a good 29 ish hours, my head ache is gone. c:)
Biting her plump lower lip, Amarissa gave a small whine. Not exactly knowing her to properly explain her situation to the woman, she swayed lightly from left to right. With a deep inhale through her nose and out through her mouth, a pale hand ran through her midnight coloured locks. Her eyes glanced over to the parking lot where her car was safely parked. "I'm sure you'll be a fantastic boss." Riss chewed on the inside of her cheek. "I'm not sure when you want me to move in, but I'm available to move in. I'm still new to the city so I don't have any furniture or anything like that. If you want to give me your address, I'll pick up my things and start moving in today." The teen forced a bright smile. The grin never made it to her eyes as they held a sense fear. She knew why she lied to the mother. There was no place to pick up her things. All of her luggage was in the trunk of her car, where she had been living for the past year and a half. However, Rissa really didn't want to explain her state of homelessness to the kind stranger. So she simply passed her lack of things off to the excuse of recently moving. Amarissa knew that eventually, her high school credentials would come up. Or her family. Or where she grew up. Or plans for the future. Being a freshly turned nineteen-year-old elicited such questions. So, soon enough, the answers would have to be given. She just preferred to actually be asked instead of spouting out her sob story to anyone who stopped her for a conversation.
(I didn't really know what to do with Mallory here. XD)

(( Oh, man, I'm glad it's over now but that's so long. Dx ))
The woman curiously peered over her shoulder while hearing Amarissa seem to fumble and fidget, this made her eyebrows slightly raise, she still listened to what she spoke about and slowly gave a few nods to show she understood. That was strange behavior though and, while she wasn't known for prying, this was a sign she didn't expect so soon. Was there something she didn't know? Of course there was, Jenny reminded herself that she truly didn't know the history of Rissa and had to give herself a mental note that she did need to sit down, have a deep talk, figure out who she was dealing with. Although the mother felt the nineteen year old was good with her kids and trusted her with such an important thing, she still felt weary of having this stranger coming into her home. Jenny knew she'd still have her guard up and ready for the unexpected. Clearing her throat while she stood beside her car with the three of them, her gaze focused in on the woman ahead of her while she mulled over if she even wanted today to be anymore active than it already was and soon found her choice, "I think you moving your stuff in today would be good," The mother of two seemed a bit like she was in her mind more than she was in reality, almost as if she was making a invisible list in her head of what needed to be done. Once she seemed to come back to reality, her eyebrows raised once again, "Where exactly did you move from though?" The mother curiously asked, her tone light and gaze merely casual although, deep down, she was more prying harshly at the fact that the teenager skimmed over so many details. Of course, she herself was a private person and could respect Amarissa being the same but if there was something more to her story than she did need to know. All for safety of her children. Jenny opened the car and helped both kids inside, buckling Mallory first into her car seat then making sure Joseph was secured as well. Joseph was definitely the taller sibling and outgrew needing a car seat a long while ago but the mother was still always cautious. Once all set, the woman went over to the passenger side and opened the glove box to pull out a small notebook with a pen. She scribbled out the address before tearing it off and handing it politely to her new nanny. She gave a warm smile while chucking the items back into the box and closing it, looking back at the teenager with a gentle gaze, "Hopefully you can find it easily but I also wrote down my phone number, just in case you might've forgotten it, if you do lose your way." Jenny gave a light chuckle before straightening her back, feeling a satisfying light pop, before brushing her hair out of her vision.
(( Totally okay. c': I don't know what to do with Joseph either currently so I guess we'll go through phases of including them to not. ))

✶ᴏᴏᴄ- Okay. Kids can sometimes be tough to rp, anyways ✶ɪᴄ- "I moved to the city from Massachusetts. Nothing too crazy." Amarissa explained, throwing a forced smile the mother's way. She bounced from foot to foot as she watched Jenny buckle her kids in and make sure everyone was secure. The older woman was great with her kids, it was fascinating to watch. Would she be that natural with her own children? She certainly hoped so. Riss gently took the slip of paper from Jen's hand and giggled softly. "I'm sure that I will find it alright." Looking over the paper, she bit her lower lip to keep from laughing any further at the mother's handwriting. It was obvious that she had just scribbled it out. "I have your number saved in my phone, actually. But I guess it never hurts to have it written down. The blue-haired girl unceremoniously shoved the note in her black skirt's pocket. With haste, she turned on her heel and walked over to the swing set where she had left her bag. "Can't leave without my keys." Her voice sang back to the mother by her car. Without breaking stride, she grabbed the bag and walked over to her own car. Ironically, it was parked next to Jenny's. "So, I'll probably see you in an hour or two. Depending on the traffic. City life, am I right?" The joke was light-hearted, trying to calm the mood, but Amarissa was just focused on what she was going to do for a couple of hours. Just driving around would waste gas, which would lead to wasting what little money she had left. A soft rumble emitted from her stomach and suddenly, she knew what she was going to do.

(( True, true. ))
Jenny gave a nod while pondering more at what the teenager stated, the mother noticed it seemed she was more jumpy and nervous but deemed it may just be she's excited although she had this feeling it was more than that. The woman shook her head, clearing it from all these questionable things, she was deciding right then that she'd stop fussing and just focus on what's next for the day. "I'm sure that trip was an exciting one," The woman commented while she pleasantly smiled and gave yet another nod, having stayed quiet afterwards while Rissa went to grab her bag then come back, she now watched as the piece of paper was taken away then watch the expression Amarissa gave. She assumed the writing was horrendous but couldn't care less as she gave a very quiet, more to herself, chuckle. "Good, good. I'm glad everything seems to be working smoothly," She piped up with a cheery tone but soon got caught off guard as she heard Joseph whine about being bored, wanting to go home. Jenny called out with a coming before turning to Amarissa, "You can totally take your time if you need it, today will most definitely be just a relaxed one." The mother admitted while heading to the driver's door. She opened it and peered at the teenager for a second over the hood, "Take care for now," She then climbed into the car and began buckling herself up. Calming apologicing to the two about taking so long although the mother knew they really didn't mind all that much.

✶ᴏᴏᴄ- Good morning. Or whatever timezone you are in. c: Sure. Time skip I feel like my responses are never long enough. :/ ✶ɪᴄ- True to her thoughts, as soon as Amarissa departed from the park, she drove to the nearest diner. Settling on a Denny's, she enjoyed a simple meal that took up at least half of the time. Once the girl had a full belly, she drove to the library. There, she spent the rest of her time. Waiting and reading. About three hours later she drove over to the address Jenny wrote. It was a little difficult to find the exact house. There were so many similar townhouses packed next to each other like a package of sardines. So tight and cramped. She wondered how people even breathed in this neighbourhood. After a half an hour of driving in circles, she finally found the house number that matched the address she was given. Riss gave a sigh of relief and pulled into the driveway. Turning off her car and grabbing her bag, she exited the vehicle. It didn't take long to pull the midnight blue luggage out from the trunk and lay them gently on the asphalt. Silver eyes glared at the eight piece luggage set that contained all of her belongings. 19 years of life and it could all be broken down in eight suitcases, duffle bags, and backpacks. The lone cosmetic bag in violet stood out like a sore thumb. A low growl emitted from her throat as she gave the largest suitcase a kick. It didn't hurt her combat boot covered foot, nor did it damage the case. Part of her wanted to break down and cry right then and there. Probably not the best thing to do on your new boss's property. Her mother had bought the luggage set for Riss when she was thirteen. She did a lot of travelling back then, mostly for competitions. After she had won a rather large trophy for a gymnastics meet, her mother had surprised her with the gift. Though it was not exactly thoughtful, it was the only thing besides her own life that Mrs Estrella had given her. Rissa's name, after all, came from her father. For a moment, the blue-haired girl wondered if her mother still had those trophies and medals. She couldn't take them all with her. It wasn't practical to lug around trophies that she had won as a child. She chalked up the answer to a solid yes. While she and her mother didn't care for each other, Mrs Estrella did like proof that she didn't raise a failure. Quickly wiping her eyes of the light dew that had formed during her reminiscing, she grabbed her luggage. It was a tough task, eight things to grab and only two hands. Her eyes widened as she realised she forgot the most important thing. She pulled out one more bag, this time from the backseat. "Sorry I forgot about you, buddy." She murmured to it. Struggling with all of her things, Amarissa approached the door. She used her forehead to ring the doorbell and giggled at the thought of her ridiculous she looked. Exhaling heavily, she waited.

(( Good afternoon now. c: I'm on pacific standard time, just to let you know. What, no. Dx Your posts are like much longer than mine most the time and, even if they were short, thate totally okay too. It's not like a one liner or something. ))
Having gotten home safe and sound, the mother brought Joseph and Mallory inside although they were bickering because Mal wasn't allowed any entertainment which also meant that Joey couldn't watch TV if she was around, they all were seeming more chilled out and ready to basically nap. Jenny made snacks for the two of them, making one of Joe'so favorite which was small serving strawberry and banana smoothies, the mother even loved them too but rarely indulged but today was different. The woman made her own tall glass of the refreshing glorified thick liquid and made her way to the couch where she, with both kids, sat all together while eating up. A few hours had passed and both of her munchkins had fallen asleep but the mother used this time to enjoy herself, relaxing further into the soft cushions of the couch and looked all around the subdued colored room. Light tans with small pops of green were planted throughout the living room, there were also some hints of black considering the coffee table that sat in front of the couch with the white and black throw carpet that was underneath the four legs but the actual carpet was a very light tan to match the walls. There were a few potted plants sprouting here and there, that being the green, but the rest really just seemed like a blur. The woman admittedly loved more subdued colors with a nature type feel, it always made her feel grounded and at peace especially when taking care of her plants. Exhaling quietly, the mother stood up and grabbed all three cups before heading to the spacious kitchen. There was an island in the middle with a few chairs around it but the rest was all the typical normal day modern setup which, while she didn't mind it, she didn't really care for it either. Rinsing out the cups, the woman suddenly jumped at the sound of the doorbell as it rang. She gave a snake of her head, roll of the eyes, and then a chuckle at herself before heading off to the corridor that led to the door. Opening it up with a large smile, Jenny's eyebrows both shot up while she was greeted with Amarissa basically being overtaken by her luggage. She pulled her lips closed while trying not to giggle at the sight and instead helped the poor teenager by taking some bags off her before giving a greeting. "Firstly, hello and secondly, you could've gotten my help before carrying this all by yourself," The mother chuckled now while laying some of the bags on the floor and making sure she wasn't struggling anymore. "I'm glad you found the house, I was afraid you'd get lost and start knocking on random doors," The female joked while now watching Riss. She really couldn't believe this was happening, she was finally getting help and that oddly made her happy. She just hoped this girl would be all that she was expecting.

✶ᴏᴏᴄ- Ahh. I'm in Mountain Time. New Mexico, to be exact ✶ɪᴄ- A light chuckle emitted from the girl as the weight was taken off of her. With a sigh of relief, she threw a smile to her new employer. "Thanks. I thought I could handle it. Turns out, I was wrong." Riss held one bag that looked more of a pet carrier than luggage closely to her chest. Stepping inside the foyer, her silver eyes surveyed the house. It was much smaller than the one she grew up in. However, there was a sense of comfort and homeliness to it. That was a lot better than an eight bedroom mansion. Even though she hadn't seen the entire house, Rissa decided that she liked it. She liked it a lot. The girl threw herself a quick reminder not to get too comfortable. She never did stay in one place too long, after all. "It did take me a while to find this place. I feel like you should've mentioned an important detail on your lawn or something. All the buildings look alike." Her giggle was to let the mother know that the younger girl was joking. "I was probably going to start knocking on random doors if I didn't find it within an hour."

(( Ohh, is it nice in New Mexico? o: I'm up in Oregon. ))
The mother curiously watched the teen step inside. She noticing she was clinging tightly to what she assumed was an old animal carrier of sorts which made her want to pry if she had any pets but then slowly recoiled back while realizing that was not her place and if Amarissa did have animals they'd be with her. Giving herself a mental sigh and judgmental look, she reminded herself to stay calm and focused although she was doing neither at the moment. Jenny gave a large smile, closing the door now and turning towards Rissa, "Totally get that. Sometimes your mind thinks it can do things that your body really can't," She let a light chuckle escape while motioning to the living room where both kids still slept soundly then turned her attention back to the teen. A more hearty and warm laugh came through, she grinning brightly at Rissa while jokingly facepalming herself, "Darn, I should've putmy Santa statue outside holding a sign with your name on it," Jen giggled at her own joke before giving an embarrassed expression and having her shoulders tense up, "I shouldn't be making a fool out of myself so early," She rolled her eyes now before grabbing Rissa's bags and beginning to head upstairs. Getting to the second story, she opened the very empty spare room. The mother had always wanted to make it into something more but couldn't find the time so it merely had a single twin bed and dresser with the same colored walls and carpet as the living room had. She gave an apologetic look at the teen while carefully placing her luggage inside, "Sorry it isn't super fancy or anything. I haven't found time to really decorate it or ever had guests that stayed over for that matter," Her brows furrowed while she rolled back into her mind, realizing she really hadn't had company for at least a few years. Besides her kid's friends and their parents but that hardly counted. She herself didn't have her own friends over and that was the moment the mother really understood why she needed this help. She needed a life again, one that didn't consist of work and merely taking care of her kids without much fun ever happening. Fun was what she needed and she honestly was putting so much hope into this new woman to help her find those things although that was definitely something Jenny wasn't expecting nor really wanting but it was how it was going to be. Giving a big sigh, the woman came back to reality and now had her hands safely in her pockets while they fidgeted, "I hope you at least find this place comfortable and, when you get settled after a while, you can for sure make this place your own," She spoke in a soft manner while hoping this situation would be okay with Amarissa, it almost terrified her that any minute now the teen would just leave but the mother was staying calm, trying to keep those negative thoughts at bay which was working. Thankfully.

✶ᴏᴏᴄ- No. Freakin. Way. Oregon is my favourite state ever! I want to move there soo bad. New Mexico is alright. Not the biggest fan. I'm a forest/beach girl living in the desert. :\ ✶ɪᴄ- Amarissa followed Jenny closely up the stairs. "That Santa would've been hilarious to see." She commented with a chuckle. The girl was glad to see that the woman appeared to be pretty laid back and even funny. She was worried that the whole situation would be awkward. However, it seemed to be quite the opposite. She observed the single bed and dresser while smushing her lips against each other. "This is perfect. Thank you. I think all I need to add is a nightstand and bookshelf and it'll be perfect." Her eyes scanned every surface of the room, admiring it. It was not large at all, but it was perfect for what she would use it for. In her mind, she placed her things, trying to see where what would go. Pushing the bed up against the wall would give more floor space. If the dresser went parallel to the bed, against the opposite wall, there would be room for a lounge chair in the corner. The bookshelf would fit next to the door. Riss nodded slowly, finishing up her mental interior designing. "What is your policy on pets?" Her voice fell soft all of a sudden, as if afraid of the answer. She knew she should have brought that up sooner. "I swear, she is perfectly behaved and potty-trained."

(( Really? Have you visited here before? o: If so, where about? Ahh, I totally understand that. I'm definitely not the desert type either. ))
The mother kindly smiled at the teenager, breathing out a sigh of relief at seeing how they were getting along well and cracking jokes. Even if Jenny wasn't always this playful, she felt it was needed to make her feel at home or at least let the girl feel she had a place here and was welcomed to joke around. She was thankfully a very laid back person most of the time though, seeing as she always tried her hardest to be calm and at a serene state of mind but she was also a hard worker, one who could solely focus on a goal and absolutely go for it which is unfortunately what has been happening for the last few years. She gets too worked up with work and forgets about her basic needs which was really beginning to catch up quickly. Jenny came back down to reality as she heard Rissa voice out her approval, giving a large nod with a smile, she rolled her shoulders back before replying with a cheery tone, "That's fantastic, I'm really glad you approve," She chuckled now even though it was a quick and very soft one. Her gaze followed the teen until the question came up about a pet. Her brows furrowed and she suddenly realized she was actually right. Strange she didn't mention this before she hired her which oddly kind of irked the woman. Jen shoved her hands into her pockets just a bit further while pressing her lips into a flat line, "I personally don't have an issue with animals but what type do you have?" The mother asked and although she seemed a bit more tense now, she still carried her usual kindness and soft tone, giving the benefit of the doubt to Amarissa instead of going off the handle to say as if the teen needed to be a hundred percent honest with the mother. A sigh escaped and her hand ran through her hair, "Actually, I do need to say this," She started while seriously looking at the girl now, "If you are going to live here, take care of my kids, and all I need you to be honest with me. Doesn't matter what it deals with but I need you to trust me and to be open about things because I need to be able to trust you," Jenny gave a serious expression while her brows were slightly raised, she wasn't trying to be hard on the girl or anything but obviously just needed to make sure she was ready to really do this.

✶ᴏᴏᴄ- I actually haven't visited yet. I have a trip planned for next summer after a wedding I have to attend. My granddad lives in Washington, so I get to spend some time in Oregon before moving in with him Sorry this post is soo late! I was typing it up HOURS ago when the internet just died. Stupid internet. :/ Now it is 7 in the morning. lol. My brain is still asleep. ✶ɪᴄ- A sheepish look spread across Amarissa's freckled face like a wildfire. Her lower lip found its way to being squished between her teeth. "I apologise. I didn't mean to not tell you something important. I just have had a lot on my mind with the move and other things. I totally forgot to ask." She softly explained, hoping it didn't sound like a bad excuse. She had truly forgotten that a pet is not something some people liked. "She is such a part of me, that it can be difficult to remember that she is a pet." Riss gently placed the carrier on the floor and sighed. "I promise to be honest with you in the future." She knew herself that her honesty would only include present day things. Nothing about her past would be brought up by herself. If Jenny wanted to know, and asked, the girl would tell her. Her fingers fumbled with the zipper on the bag, pulling it down. A small black muzzle poked out of the now opened carrier and sniffed cautiously. "Her name is Eclipse. She's a domesticated marble fox."

(( Oh, wow, that sounds fantastic. The border between Washington and Oregon is absolutely gorgeous. Like that whole surrounding area is just breathtaking. Almost all of Oregon is picture perfect except when you head pretty close to the border of California. The nature is still beautiful but the people and neighborhoods aren't. cx Aha, totally okay. My wifi goes out all the time too and it's always so frustrating. However, we both were super late which I'm also sorry for and sorry about how small this post is. ))
Jenny gave a understanding nod, giving her a more gentle expression while trying to reassure that the mother wasn't already on high alert but just more so making sure they both understood the rules she was setting down way before things became that serious. The female relaxed her posture a bit while listening to Rissa speak about this pet, her gaze slightKY narrowed while her brow propped up and when the word of a fox was muttered out, the mother didn't look too happy. "I'm sure you have good reason to be keeping a wild animal as a pet but is Eclipse presumably good with kids? How did you get her anyway?" She slowly questioned the girl while her hands fumbled in her pockets, beginning to worry that this was the deal breaker but maybe the kids could meet the fox, see how she does and then decide if she'll live inside. Jenny wasn't a fan of keeping an animal who deserved to befree indoors but she knew of rescues and more so it could easily be just that. The woman merely shut herself down instead of making assumptions and waited for Amarissa to explain more.
