Plot:
A dictator had risen up in the Earth Nation and they had become isolationist, despite the best efforts of Avatar Korra and the other nations. Unfortunately, when Korra passed away, the Earth Nation went into 'lock down', preventing anyone from outside getting in and completely cutting off communications with the world, as everyone knows that after water in the Avatar cycle comes earth. Years have passed, with no signs of an Avatar coming forward.
A small group of friends decide to take matter into their own hands, and with some inside intelligence, begin to infiltrate the Earth Nation to retrieve the Avatar.
They could, in the process, spark another war.
Meanwhile the Avatar is being held in government custody, and while treated very well and highly trained with earth, doesn't know who he is. The Earth Nation has tried to keep it a secret from him- no radio, no contact with the outside world... except for the guards, watching him 24/7.
Characters:
S'more- Pen Lu Poshu, male, 17. Avatar
sweetclover- Katsu: Male: 19ish: firebender
AmberSkies- Relo, female, 18 years old, waterbender
CreamCrow- Ziro, girl, 19 years old, non-bender

(( I thought I'd give starters for both the Avatar and the Group, so here we go! I hope it's okay with everyone, I just assumed they would have congregated in Republic City ))
Every time he set foot inside the walls of the Avatar's prison (nice as it was, it was exactly that- a prison. There was no other way he could think of it), a riot of nerves would start in his stomach. Officially, he was here to guard what Meh Shedok, current 'president' of the Earth Nation, claimed was his nephew. Really though, he had made his way here, to this position, to monitor everything that happened to and around the Avatar. As the highest ranking official in charge of this section, nothing escaped his notice- the guard rosters, what the boy did and when, as well as all possible escape routes had been analysed. Also, apparently, sneak in highly illegal newspapers from Republic City to Pen. If there was one thing he wanted for the boy, it was to make sure that he at least knew there was a world outside of the four walls of the garden. He knocked on Pen's door, announcing himself. 'Lu Poshu, it's Lieutenant Shaa. I have the book you requested?'
-----
Chei fluttered around a room on Air Temple Island, ensuring everything was set and ready. Tea, snacks and cushions were out, and she made sure it was a room no-one ever used or had much of a reason to pass, so there was no chance of anyone overhearing what was to be said. She had only a vague idea of what was happening- something to do with the avatar- but unfortunately she had missed a lot of what happened when she went to the Western Air Temple for training. Whatever her friends were planning, she wanted in.

OoC :: Hmm, sorry, I've been trying to find a way to respond.
IC :: Ziro was a little curious as to why Chei wanted her and the others to come and visit on the island, and it certainly got the better of her. So no doubt she came, and was currently trying to figure out where the airbender was. "Chei-Chei? Where are you?" she called out, "Ziro is here and wondering where you are!"

Relo approached the meeting room silently, her soft footsteps hardly noticeable in the large and open corridors of the establishment. She had always been a somewhat distant member of the group, quiet and uncertain, but a powerful and occasionally terrifying bender nonetheless. She had only ever been to the Air Temple Island a handful of times before, but this time it felt different. She always felt out of place, hoping they wouldn't be staying for too long. She was aware that the situation with the Earth Kingdom was worsening, and she had been summoned with the concerns of the Avatar. It was out of her comfort zone, as she much preferred her home in the North Pole over the bustling Republic City, but the situation seemed serious. Infiltrating the Earth Kingdom would be no small feat, which was why she assumed her other acquaintances had been summoned. She had agreed to help, her masters urging her to offer her abilities to the cause. She paused at the doorway, hearing the voice of Ziro echoing.

(( That's okay, I've certainly made it difficult, I'm sorry. With the group, I'm hoping that someone will take the 'leader' role, because I don't really feel up to it, though I really probably should. I also had no idea of what I was doing for the starter so that doesn't help. ))
'Oh sorry Ziro!' Chei popped her head out the door, spotted Ziro and ran on her toes to her friend. 'I probably should have been at the dock, to show you guys where to go. Should we go there and wait for them? How have you been?' she said in a rush, flinging her arms around her friend and giving her a good squeeze.

OoC :: Ah, I see. Hmm. If nobody else has their leader take up leadership, maybe Ziro can do it. Maybe...
IC :: The girl laughed, giving back the hug in equal strength. "Ah, so I'm guessing the other two haven't yet arrived? Oh- wait, nevermind, RElo's over there- hey Relo!" Ziro went tiptoed for a second to wave at the waterbender before quickly going back down on flat feet to face Chei. "So glad to see you though! Doing well, exploring things... and stuff. How have you been doing though?"

Turning to see Relo, Chei jumped up and down excitedly, waving her arms. 'Hi Relo! Come on, come here so I can give you a hug!' She shouted. Turning back to Ziro at the question, she beamed. 'The Western Air Temple was amazing! The houses are under a cliff! I learnt so much, and everyone was so, so nice. And, they've done a fantastic job restoring it. I saw photographs of what it looked like before, and they've come a long way. Some of the buildings are still a bit unstable, but we are still working on it. And there are only women, did you know that? You should come with me for a visit sometime!'

IC :: "Maybe I will! After..." Ziro trailed off for a minute before shaking her head. "Ah, nevermind that. Eventually I will visit there, when I can at least. Whenever that is... The idea of them rebuilding that place is an amazing thought and it must be a wonderful sight. You must be proud to be an airbender then, right?" She certainly liked the idea of them rebuilding the air temple. She planned to visit everywhere in the world one day, if she managed to live to then. Of course, currently the idea of that was impossible...

OOC Also just to clarify, Pen Lu is his first name (kind of like Ty Lee) and then Poshu is the last name.)
IC Pen Lu had found he lived a very boring life. But then again, what other kind of life was he supposed to live? He hadn't exactly known anything else, and he had anything and everything he needed, right here. So, in a way, you could say he was actually quite happy with his life, rather from actually being happy or just not knowing what else was out there, was debatable. Currently he was in his room, not entirely sure what to do, though luckily it wasn't long before that was made for him as one of the guards knocked and he looked to the door.
"Oh! Right! The book, come on in," Pen Lu called, keeping his eyes trained on the door as he waited for Shaa to enter. It wasn't exactly a book, but that was a good word to describe it. Pen Lu rather liked to read it, as it made him feel a little less lonely, trapped here like this. In a sense, it gave him an out to the world while he was still allowed to stay in his home, with no fear of actually getting out and he liked that.

(( I had a clinic yesterday so that's why I wasn't on Also sorry about my confusion on his name S'more it makes sense now I don't know why I thought of it like that )) Vikko did as he was bid, and stepped into the room. He held up an actual book- a gigantic encyclopedia about plantlife in the Earth Nation- and placed it on a nearby table, the flipped it open. Inside, neatly folded, was Republic News. This he picked up and held out to Pen Lu. His face, normally severe, shifted to a more open and kinder look. His flat grey eyes surveyed the room critically, as if looking for any possible points that someone could be look in and see the exchange. ---- 'You must visit.' Chei insisted. Her small body swelled with pride when Ziro mentioned the airbenders. 'I really am. I love my nation.' Spotting Katsu's head poking out from around a corner, she grinned and waved him over. A cold gust of wind made her short black hair stick up crazily, earning a huff of anger as she attempted to smooth it down again.

OOC Here!
Also it's totally fine Tome, I figured I should probably clear it up cause his name really could go either way.
IC Pen Lu's green eyes lit up when he saw the paper, reaching out and making grabby gestures with his hands. "Aha! I've been looking forward to this," he said, grabbing it and instantly flipping through it, he usually did this first and then would take his time to read it. It was almost like a story for him though, as he was always in his own place, never actually leaving. So despite it being real world problems, he thought of it more as stories, in a way. But at least he was aware of everything happening outside.

IC :: "Katsu! Glad to see you've made it, I believe all of us are here then?" Ziro said cheerfully as the firebender started over, her eyes glanced towards Relo directly after finishing that. Ah yes, the waterbender still hadn't actually come over to them, but Ziro figured she made good choice of going to the room Chei had wanted them at in the first place. Kinda Ziro's fault three of them were not in the room and chatting outside, probably should of gotten better directions there.

(( Hey guys with the group, shall we say that instead of just the group organising themselves, the Air Nation decided to act and send them? ))
Vikko nodded, and moved around the room, checking outside the windows. Unfortunately there was no way he could cover them, so he moved between them to check if anyone was looking in, that could potentially catch Pen Lu reading the paper. 'I'm going to stay here until you're done, so I can take it back with me. I don't want you to leave it somewhere that someone else could find it.' He eventually settled on one window, tracking the progress of two personnel patrolling outside. He watched them
------
'Hi Katsu! I hope you've been well.' Chei returned cheerfully. A quick glance around confirmed Ziro's question. 'Yup, I think everyone's here, we can head inside. Well, we really should before the tea gets cold. No-one like cold tea!' She ushered them inside the small room. 'I also have snacks, so help yourselves!' She beamed.

OoC :: That works perfectly fine with me!
IC :: Ziro followed with a small smile on her face as she moved them from out here to inside, perfectly okay with the change of scenery. She hadn't been to the Air Temple Island much, but it certainly was beautiful each time she came, how could she find it not to be? And then she reminded herself of the tea, right, delicious tea.

OOC That might make it easier.
IC As Pen Lu began to actually read the paper. He couldn't help but momentarily pause, looking up at Vikko. "Why is it that I'm not supposed to read this anyways? It doesn't harm anyone, certainly not me. I think my uncle just worries too much," he explained, frowning slightly. It had actually grown to him worrying a bit too. Was the world outside his home really that dangerous? It must be, if he had to stay in here. It did make him fear a little. What if the dangers got in? But of course there were the guards, who could sneak past all of them? He doubted anyone could.

'It isn't my place to say.' Vikko said tersely, and pressed his lips into a thin line with a frown that clearly indicated he wouldn't respond to any probing. As much as he wanted to tell the boy outright what he was, Vikko didn't want Pen Lu to cause a fuss, if he even would. He'd reached out to an Air Nomad in Republic City with his suspicions, and then his proof, and waited for a reply on the matter. Nothing had reached him for months, and he had a feeling that something must have happened to the letters. The world needs the avatar.
-------
'There are mango slices, egg custard tart and fruit pie.' Chei indicated the food laid out on the table. 'I know the mango is a bit odd, but I love mango so much, and there wasn't any the whole time I was at the Air Temple, which was really sad. I hope that next time I visit, they will have some.' She sipped her tea, happy in her friend's presence.

OOC Morning!
IC Pen Lu frowned, looking back down at the paper. "Fine. Can I ask another question though?" He asked, not looking back up from the paper he was currently flipping through. "If my uncle wants me guarded like this, the world must be a really dangerous place, right? Well then, what if the danger gets in here? That...that would be bad, so what if it does? How is the world dangerous anyways? I've read a lot about it, and well, it doesn't seem too completely horrible."

(( Good morning! ))
Vikko sighed through his nose harshly. He mulled over Pen Lu's questions for a while, letting the silence stretch until it seemed he wouldn't answer. 'Nothing will get in here, so there is no need to worry about it.' He eventually replied, settling for something mildly assuring but not revealing. The world outside isn't perfect, but it's beautiful. If only you could really see Ba Sing Se, and hear the music on the radio in the evening. See snow glittering in the sun, and the mist around the Air Temples as the sun rises. The setting sun in the harbour of Republic City. He wanted to say it, but didn't. Pretty words don't belong in ugly mouths. 'Are you not comfortable? Do you wish for more security?' He enquired flatly, hoping to distract Pen Lu with questions of his own, no matter how uninteresting.
