Yep, you read that right! Lately, I've been thinking about this story a lot, and I decided that with a little more effort and dedication, it can be a truly fantastic story. So here I am, with the new and improved version of Return to Dust. I told myself that I wouldn't start another fanfic until I finished Off & Running, but a few days ago, a couple of forumers expressed their interest in seeing it back on the forums. So, upon finding the plot outline, I couldn't resist refining it and rewriting some key scenes. Before I knew it, I was bitten by the writing bug, and the reboot of Return to Dust made its way to the forums. You may be wondering what you can expect from a rewritten story. Well, it includes better writing, better character development, and a whole lotta ravens...

It is a place where all the lost things go.
Stolen from his clan, he finds himself there, far beyond Clan borders, in a place where he can no longer see the sun. Forced to fight by the mysterious Overlord, Storm lives for one purpose; to destroy the cats he was forced to leave behind.
Every day, he watches the ravens. He finds solace in his observations, for they are everything he is not; strong, proud, free. As his life in the Gorge continues, he finds himself looking for an escape, not only for his body, but for his mind as well. But nothing is as it seems, and Storm finds himself struggling to stay afloat in a world where he is completely alone...
A group of ravens is called an unhappiness for a reason.

She has an extreme temper, and gets really mad sometimes. She is also sarcastic a lot, and tries to be funny to cover up the fact that she is dead. She's grey-purplish blue, and has a flower on her head, covering the time when someone shot her in the head with an arrow. This is a terrible drawing I drew of her without her head Attachments:

Angry characters are the best. They're so much fun to draw/write. My own angry OC is my smol angry child who must be protected at all costs.
Love the drawing, too!

Comics are so much fun to write. You can do things in comics that you can't do in stories... Like draw ridiculous facial expressions. I wrote comics all the time too! Mostly warriors comics, but original comics every now and again. Oh, and hey, if you need any help with the planning process for your comic, or just have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

The one thing I'm worried about is comic panels. How do I do those?

It depends if you're doing your comic digitally or traditionally. For traditional comics, all the panels are drawn straight onto the piece of paper. When I'm drawing each Westward page (which is done digitally) I tend to draw each panel in a different photoshop document, so each panel is drawn as a seperate individual artwork. Once I'm satisfied, I copy all comic pages over onto a new blank document and put them together, like a jigsaw. Other work, such as special effects and text, goes over the top.
I'm not sure how well I explained that... I can probably whip together a really quick tutorial tonight or tomorrow for you, though.

I actually do everything on my mini iPad, but the drawing program is pretty good. It's called procreate, and I can draw the panels beforehand. Thanks!
