Lori went silent for a couple seconds, letting Jolene's whistling calmly travel through the camp. She was always a sucker for sweet, idle tunes. It made her feel like she was in a film. ((hoping those exist in this universe ooops)) Analyzing Billie's features closely, she adjusted her hat once more. Having to look up, she unfortunately had to reveal her bony features. Not that they weren't used to seeing it; she had to remove her hat to sleep after all. But her insecurity never wavered. Her seemingly unblinking eyes were naturally glazed over. She truly could be mistaken for a walking corpse. Though Billie looked quite beaten up as well, what with the dried blood smeared across her face and caked around her lip. She felt a pang of concern, but she knew that Billie was an unbelievably tough woman. Determined too, Lori admired that. She sighed defiantly. "All right, we'll split it." She wasn't about to cause a ruckus in the camp over some piece of unknown meat. She chuckled lightly before asking, "How d'you like your meat?"

"Yeah, I've heard of it. Have you ever heard of getting things done?" Blair spoke in the sweetest tone, despite her words being the opposite. She had a way of appearing kindly even if the opposite was true.
A low rumble bubbled out of Bats' throat as she glared at the young woman. She really hated these people sometimes. Yes, she understood the necessity of having them around, but she really preferred it when it was just her and Coop. "I think mom and pops screwed up your head, kid." Watching the squabble over the mystery meat across the fire she turned to the psychopomp. "I forgot to buy rations."

Bille's grin was bright as can be and she scooted a little closer. Swinging one arm around Lori's shoulders, she gave her a firm squeeze. Her poncho slid back down her arm slightly, revealing the dark metal that nearly encased her forearm. "This is why you're my favorite." Leaning back, she relaxed and eyed the meat carefully, "I'm really not too picky, whatever you like is good by me."

((On mobile so no fancy bb code for me)) Lori jokingly rolled her eyes at Billie's comment, making a "pfft" noise as her metal-plated arm clapped onto her shoulder. Training her gaze back on the fire, she returned her makeshift skewer to its original place. A sincere smile crept on her features as she watched the meat pop and sizzle over the flames. This was what she liked about traveling in a group. Playful and sarcastic banter, a hodgepodge of different faces, sitting all together by the warmth of the fire... All topped off with the idle whistle. Lori began twisting the stick around after a couple more minutes, inspecting every angle. With a slight nod, she told Billie, "Eh, looks about done to me. Should still have some juice." She pulled the stick towards her, blowing at the meat and steam that wafted off of it. With the meat done, all she needed to do was split it for the both of them. Quickly scanning the camp, she eyed Coop's knife, still chipping away at the wood. "Ey, Cooper, could ya hand me that blade of yours for a sec?" She inquired.
edit: yayyy looks nice now

Jamie and his gang of criminals were eating dinner and swapping stories. Right now they were talking about mythical beasts and items. Jamie was looking out at the open dessert. Their group was situated up on a large hill. Jamie turned back to his men and Alexa to listen.

Kain tried not to snort a mouthful of whiskey at Blair's comment, smacking at his chest. He turned and patted her on the shoulder. "Hey we'll be gettin' along soon. Yer fancy bow will see the limelight sooner than ya think."
Cooper said nothing in reply to Blair, simply flicking their gaze up at her briefly whilst continuing to sharpen the stick. Coop watched Jolene for a moment, face blank as they considered her. She was more distant than the others in the group and they could see the heavy air that seemed to surround her. They'd work it through with her another time, and turned to Bats at her request. Pulling out a can of beans, they popped the lid open with their knife and handed it to her without a word. If anything, Cooper was more than capable of fluidly dealing with each member of the gang. They eyed Lori before passing the knife to her, handle first. "Careful. Just sharpened it."

Hey guys! Sorry for the delay. Here are my characters.)
Camille: With yellow, feline like eyes, pitch black hair, and pale skin, Cam resembles nothing of the witches from modern folklore. Standing at a below average height, she is lithe, but has womanly curves in all the right places. High cheek bones mixed with rosy pink lips make her a very attractive woman indeed. She usually leaves her black, curly hair down, giving it freedom it to tumble down the full length of her back. Sarcastic and cutthroat, Cam would be the last person to get into a verbal fight with or any fight really. She uses her... unusual skills to her upmost advantage and works as a black market 'hit man' of sorts. If you ever need to curse someone or buy a love potion, Cam is your girl. She is openly vain about her looks and rebellious, but she has a good heart and only wants what is best for her group. She would go to war for her band of misfits.
Rykaer: Standing at 6'5, Ry is a tall and lanky individual. A fine layer of muscle covers his tanned arms and legs. His disheveled strawberry colored hair hits the nape of his neck, contrasting nicely with the sharp blue and green of his eyes. When he smiles, dimples pop up on his cheeks and the sharp point of his chin seems less severe. With broad shoulders and a tattoo that curls around the back of his neck, he could appear intimidating to any passersby. Half elf, his ears tilt up into a delicate point. Ry is a quiet, but confident individual. He has a cool head, but has an uncanny knack for getting into trouble. His unnatural strength and speed are his only weapons as he prefers to fight with his hands.

Unfortunately, Cam's occupation had always made her a little late to the gangs daily family get togethers. Being a hitman was hard enough, but being a witch required a whole 'nother level of stealth. Her clients didn't quite know what they were getting into when they approached her evening abode and asked for her help. Most of them probably didn't even realize what they were asking her to do for them, but who was she to tell? As long as they payed, she would do the job... do it right. That's why she never arrived on time for the fire to be built or the best stories to be swapped, but there was always money in her pockets. And that was what mattered to her.
Like usual, the gang was all ready eating as she came to the scene, eyes alight with mischief. Her eyes slid to the meat, but what really caught her eye was Kain's whiskey bottle. She squeezed her way in besides him, "You brought me whiskey? How'd ya know I had a hankering for some whiskey tonight?" Quick as a snake, she pulled the bottle away from him and tipped it up to her lips. It burned on its way down and she let out a little sigh, "Perfect."
Then Cam gave the bottle back to him with a vicious, but playful smile, "Thanks sugar."
Ry on the other hand sat with The Iron blood Gang listening in on all the stories of the day. He himself didn't have many to share as it had been a slow day, but he loved hearing everyone's crazy adventures.

Jolene's whistling stopped when her eyes landed on the witch. Shifting in her seat, Jolene was thankful for her gun; she never did trust a witch; Jolene was almost sure a witch had cursed her to be so good with a gun and, while she couldn't complain about her talent, she knew witches were dangerous to plain folk like her. Now, Jolene wasn't one of those prejudiced people who go around shootin down everything they couldn't explain, but that didn't mean she wasn't wary. And a witch with a taste for whiskey didn't do anything to calm her nerves. Especially if that witch was a gun for hire.

The conversation soon shifted to this mysterious colt. "I heard it can kill you in one blow. Just bang and it works on other critters to!" One of the gang members said one of the younger guys. "I heard that gun can grant wishes. You fire a shot in the air and say what you want!" Another man said speaking up as well. Jamie snorted though he supposed it wasn't completely out there. Heck there was a time he thought all this kind of stuff was horse dung.

Cam tiptoed past the man whose whiskey she basically stole, her smile poised on her face like a silent weapon. The fire was hot againgst her legs, and for a moment she thought the trendils of heat would jump out and burn her skin. She plunked herself down beside Joleane since the woman had been giving her the side eye since the witch had arrived. She got the feeling that the gunslinger still had misgivings about her even though the rest of the group had moved past her lot in life. When she first arrived, everyone was wary of her... as they should be. Most witches in the west were known for their horrible tempers and and tendencies to curse a person so family for generations. And those were the nice ones. Cam had heard stories of older, more foul (and less attractive) witches boiling babies for supper. Of course, she would never do such a thing. It just wasn't her style. Instead, she worked the black market, earning money by assassinating or curse those that were unfortunate enough to be mentioned to her in private.
Cam thought it a much more wholesome practice than baby boiling.
The witch leaned back, her palms supporting her weight. She let her feline eyes wonder over the faces of the people who had come to be something like family (or maybe just distantly realitives) to her, "I see everyone's survived another day." She sneered playfully at all of them in her nightly greeting, "Dirty shame, that is."
Ry had heard of that colt as well as the wish granting gun. The stories has been circulating almost every town he had encountered over the past few months. Even if you were a hermit, you really couldn't escape them. He listened in on the short retellings and strange new add ons, wondering how many times he would have to hear them before he went crazy.
The West was never dull and there was always a new story about some strange happening. It was part of the reason he enjoyed living there.

"It is," Jolene replied stiffly, shifting away from the witch. Gripping her gun tightly, she studied the girl beside her cautiously before saying, "I suppose you can't cast some spell on us to not get killed through the night." Jolene often volunteered for night watch, not trusting the others to protect her, and the lack of sleep was catching up to her.

Alexis turned and looked over at Jamie. "Shame someone doesn't want us to go after it!" She said in a sarcastic tone. Alexis didn't understand why Jamie didn't jump on a opportunity like this. This was perfect for their gang to try and accomplish. They would be powerful with the colt.
Jamie rolled his eyes and picks up a beer bottle that was laying around, "Just seems like a foolish quest. To many men have lost their lives searching for fairy tales. Besides, we can raid a town and be on our merry way with no problems."

Cam tilted her head at the woman, her ink black hair falling into her face and covering her startling sunshine eyes. The witch noticed her create distance between them with amused eyes and a smirk tugging on her lips, "Actually, honey-bunch, I can.... " Cam stood to her feet once more, dusting off her worn (but still fabulous) gray trousers she wore while off the job. Men usually responded better to seeing her in a dress like a proper lady, but she found that it was the women that narrowed their eyes if she even had a hair out of place. It was odd, but everything about life in the west was odd.
After grabbing her worn out pouch, she went to the perimeter of their small camp and dug out a book about the size of her hand. Cam flipped the pages, stopping on one especially beat up page. She mumbled something under her breath, grabbed a few rocks from the ground and threw them forward. The rocks hit the ground with a soft yellow light, spinning and then darting across the ground to form a circle around the camp. Suddenly, a dome of yellow light appeared above them all, but shattered a moment later.
Pleased with herself and her work, Cam closed the book with a pop and stuffed it back into her pouch. "There you go, my little cabbage. One protection spell."

Rykaer rubbed his chin lightly as he listened to the two talk about the colt. His stubble grated his fingers in a way that didn't hurt as well as helped him think on the two different points of view. He looked toward the leader of the gang, thoughtful, "Ya know... maybe Alexis' right."
The rest if the group turned to him, shocked that the quietest one of them all had spoken. Ry's lips tightenes at the sudden attention, but he went on, "I've heard through the grapevine that there's this other gang in theses parts. If we had the colt, we could take them down."

"The he//..." Eyes wide, Jolene stared up in shock and said, "Never knew a witch to do something for free, I expect I owe ya now?" Yawning, Jolene stopped herself from thanking the witch, grateful for the protection while still wary. "And I ain't yer little cabbage."

Kain made a noise of protest as the whiskey was snatched from his hands, watching Cam drink it with a sad pout on his face. "C'mon now, it took me awhile to get this! You...you gotta ask permission..." he mumbled, taking a big swig from the bottle.
Cooper tried their best not to get involved with the group's arguments with each other- really, in other circumstances these would be people Coop would have to kill, but every one of them was still redeemable. Coop saw the group's better qualities, even if the others couldn't. Adjusting the brim of their hat, Coop gestured in Cam's direction with the newly sharpened stick, expression blank but eyes narrowed slightly. "I appreciate the gesture, but magic like that only invites trouble," they spoke before standing, hand trailing to the gun at their side. "Nothin' is gonna sneak up on ya. Not while I'm on watch." It wasn't their place to step in, so they headed over towards the outskirts of the camp, dragging the pointed stick behind them. It would be a miracle for them to find the colt without killing each other first.

"I mean would it be worth it though?" Jamie watched as quite a few nodded their heads. He wondered why they believed in this colt or other magical items so badly. He was more surprised that Ryker spoke about it. "Where would we even begin to look?"
Alexis smiled and scooted closer to him. "I'm sure we cab figure it out! It will all be worth it when we are the most powerful gang in the west! We can have whatever we want! Money, women, men, booze, a house and all the property we could ever want! I know you want to get a ranch going again." She said smirking a little bit.
