Bray made a 'don't worry about it' motion with his hand. "Just come with me, we're only stopping by. Won't take me but a minute," he promised as the left the classroom.
"Ok," Zo said and followed Bray out of the classroom. She stopped to lock the door before continuing after him. She was excited about her classroom- it may be over the top, yes, but she wanted her students to feel welcome here. She wanted them to know that it could be a calm place for them in the midst of the chaos in their lives. Zo smiled to herself realizing that she had achieved that with her classroom.

Bray led the way to the main building and dashed up the stairs to the top floor, where his room was, with Zo not far behind. He left his door open for her to come in. His room was very bland; it held nothing to signify a personality held any ownership of it. His bed was empty save for some rustled blankets. The walls their typical white, blank and void of signs of life. The curtain was drawn over the window, making it dark. He quickly slipped in and back out of the bathroom, coming out in a new pair of jeans and shirtless. It was not difficult to spot the burned patch of skin on his chest, despite the lack of lights in the room. The formerly melted area was healed, but not repaired. It sat directly above his heart, the scar a constant reminder. He grabbed a clean tee out of a drawer, uncrumpling it.

Yuri watched in surprise as the stream of water just swiped away the sand from her feet. That was not something you would see everyday. As she stepped onto the pathway, the Photon brushed off the stray grains of sand which had caught on her beach dress. Propping the sun hat back onto her head, she looked at the trail in which the pathway led away from the beach and the ocean.

(Lost!!!!! I figured we could have Namika join Kylie/Aris/Ava group cue the music *now* because I'm about to introduce my new character)
Sin turned as he heard a noise coming from the shore; in the distance, near the direction of the docks, he could hear a boat approaching. "Cool, more students. This should be the last group, I bet," he said as they walked back up the path past the marsh. The boat, from what he could see where they were, was actually much like the same one that brought the Keepers yesterday. A big, rusted out, old freight ship. Surely there weren't anymore Keepers coming, though, right? At least, not the ones without Guardians. They had all been brought together.

Kylie looked to her new friends as a boat appeared over the marsh, out towards the shore. Despite being on the main campus, the area of the docks was downhill, so they had a clear line of sight to the ship as it pulled up. Their little 'trip' to find out secrets was cut short- though certainly they would have plenty of time later, since they were stuck here, after all. The first figures off the boat was that of a boy, arms held behind his back by two men pushing him forward, leading him through the marsh up towards the main campus. It took a bit for this to become apparent, though, and Kylie didn't quite understand why he was being forced. Sure, they had even thrown her off the docks. But she was left after that, to join the group. No students were gathering down at the docks now, perhaps not allowed. In fact, a good majority of people seemed too busy to even be looking on; only a handful were gathered on the grassy lawn of the main campus, watching.

Zo stood in the doorway as Bray changed. When he came out, her eyes widened and she looked away shyly, but not before noticing the burn. "You've been burnt too?" She asked

Bray looked up, surprised at her words, and perhaps feeling ever so slightly embarrased; he quickly slipped his shirt on, covering up the wound. "Uh...Hunters," he explained, looking to her with dull eyes; the darkness surrounded him as she stood in the light of the doorway. He turned away from her, grabbing his shoes he had kicked off, sitting on the bed briefly. "Guess they thought they could torture some information out of me. I wouldn't budge, though most will. I...couldn't. The Gifter is my friend, and the other Keepers...they're too important." He shrugged. "Then I suppose they just wanted to see what made me tick."

"I'm sorry," Zo whispered, feeling bad for bringing it up, "I shouldn't have asked." She stepped out of the small room and waited in the hall while Bray got his shoes and locked up

Bray spoke from where he was, despite Zo having walked out; the door was still open, so she would be able to hear him. "It's fine. It's a fact, after all. Just...is." He shrugged as he stepped out into the hallway after her. "You were burned then, too?" he questioned, having understood what she said before. "How?" There would be no secrets between them; they would have to work closely this year, and likely after too, after all.

"Y-yea," Zo said. She paused a moment and said, "on my face. I keep it covered with make up." Her voice was soft, tender, and quiet almost like some trying to avoid waking a sleeping child.

(haha thanks. The one yesterday was a lot harder than I anticipated and I passed, but today is the harder exam, health is more complicated than life)
Bray held a tight lip. "You do a good job. You're lucky-" he said, which may have sounded awful at first, but he was quick to qualify his statement, "you can wear makeup. Pretty sure I'd be ridiculed for life if I tried," he said with a light chuckle. "So what happened? Hunters, I presume?" That was the most likely cause in their line of work, after all. He walked beside her as they made their way down the hall, to the stairwell.

Yuri turned her head to the boat in the distance. "I thought all the new students had already arrived?" She widened her eyes.

Namika put her hand across her forehead so the sun didn't block her vision as she stared out towards the boat. "Ooo." She cooed, not exactly in an excited way but not in an annoyed one either. "Wonder who they are," She folded her arms, glancing at Kylie and the others before looking back to where the docks were, trying her best to studying the people on the boat.

(It just is. For example, Health Insurance can add exclusions like pre-existing conditions, not provide for certain illnesses/conditions, can cancel you if you reach a certain benefit limit, they have different types of insurance for different people...ya know, that stuff. Life can only cancel if you don't pay your premium, and have to pay a beneficiary when you die. Period. Unless you don't pay, they will pay. Not much around it, makes it pretty straight forward.)
Bray nodded. "Pyro. Just, uh, try not to blame them all...there are always bad eggs of every bunch," he whispered to her, letting the conversation go. He didn't want to upset her- just as she hadn't wanted to upset him- and it was time to move on, after all.

Kylie jumped at Namika arriving with the group. Urgh, of course. They hadn't exactly been...sneaky. But with this new arriving person, she didn't much care; there was something else taking her mind off the fact that Namika had joined them. Now, as the figure got close enough, she could see who it was. "That's...that's...Ma...Mal...Malc...Malcolm?" she spat out finally, stuttering as she spoke in disbelief, eyes wide, knees shaking now. He was still far enough away that he didn't hear, and wasn't looking in her direction, yet. "That...can't be..." A single tear fell from her eye as she watched, purely shocked.

Namika looked back at the others in shock, tilting her head in confusion. "Whos Malcha?" She asked, clearing not getting the name right. She stopped as she noticed how upset Kylie was. "Kylie? What's wrong?"

Instead, she was so focused on the approaching group of three- Malcolm being pushed by two larger men as his arms were held by them, behind his back. As the group got nearer, she panicked; he would see her, wouldn't he? As Malcolm began to make a face, his nose twitching, she threw herself behind Namika in the hopes of hiding.
Malcolm's nearly white blonde hair was blowing in the breeze as he walked along the lawn. Something familiar engaged him as a scent wafted in his direction. Ah. He remembered that! Certainly. He grinned as he looked in the direction of the smell, a group of four girls standing about, three of them gazing in his direction, the fourth hidden behind another. All Humans. He chuckled. Ooh, what fun this would be! His smirk formed as he called out, "Oh, Kylie, dear."
Upon hearing that, Kylie shivered, staying held tight behind Namika; in fact, she even grabbed the girl's arm from behind to pull her closer, in the hopes it would deter him. She closed her eyes...all of this just had to be a bad nightmare...sure, she had said that before, and it had turned out to be false. But this just had to be...there was no other explanation.

Bray was quick to chuckle; her sudden, abrupt departure from the previous conversation showed her utterly phenomenal ability to put things behind her. "Hungry much?" he teased her lightly, smiling, his white teeth showing in this humor.

Confused at the exchange between this restrained male and Kylie, the young Keeper decided to keep quiet, and since she was standing next to Namika, Aris subtly shifted over to help hide Kylie even more. Even though she didn't know Kylie all that well, her need to help kicked in, and she was beginning to like Kylie a bit from this little excursion they had been on before they stumbled on this dude. Observing this blonde guy, she could tell he was Gifted by the way he sniffed out Kylie, but she didn't know what he was besides that. |

Malcolm's fangs showed a glint in the sunlight as he grinned at the girl's, realizing she was hiding from him. But it didn't matter; he continued to be pushed forward by the two men, up near the entrance of the main building, where The Gifter was waiting, watching the three, arms crossed over her chest, wearing her jeans and armor.
Kylie sighed when it seemed the boy was out of earshot, too busy as he was speaking with The Gifter. "Oh god oh god oh god," she let out in a panicked tone as she slipped out from behind Namika and Aris.

Ayla snorted and rolled her eyes playfully, Look! I think that's the lake! She gestured excitedly before gesturing towards a rock, hah Ahe stuck her tongue out but pointed her nose to the approaching lake, there's the real lake.
Hah! Yeah. It's creepy but pretty in some ways. He shrugged lightly and kept running until he got to the lakeside. He slowed to a walk, and he started sniffing around, exploring the lakeside a little bit- scent wise.Ayla looked apon the expanse of the lake, squinting to see the end of the lake. She had never really swum in the lake, but she had always wondered if there were any creatures that lurked under it's surface. |
