Quinn cocked her head. "What do you mean Hale? He's busting on Azeal, not you.." she said.
Igneel nodded and let the fire around his fist dissipate. "Yeah seriously. And all I'm saying is that Azeal you can be a bit overbearing and commandeering." He said with a shrug, brushing away Hale's hand.

"Exactly," Hale agreed. "Imagine Dad's face when he finds out that I passed up a fight. Again. Still, Azeal, he's right you know. You're a little condescending."
"And you keep saying things that are ridiculous," Azeal returned, his fist still clenched. "I'd say that cancels out, wouldn't you?"

"I wish someone had the Magic to record. That way they could play it back to you so you could hear exactly how pompous you sound!" Igneel snarled, eyes narrowing and fists lighting up again. "Just because you're older doesn't mean you're better than others."

( I'm gonna head off for the night, get some sleep )
"Even if I did had that magic, what makes you think I'd waste it on conversations with you?" Azeal demanded, squaring his shoulders. "There are far more interesting things out there to look back on." He was getting worked up now, completely ignoring the two girls and focusing entirely on Igneel.

Igneel rolled his eyes. "I wasn't saying if YOU had that magic, I was saying if someone else did and could SHOW you. And you're doing it again Soul-boy." Igneel said, growling softly as his eyes narrowed to slits and some more dragon scales rose to his skin's surface, obviously raring to fight.

Hale had given up and left the boys to their fighting, taking her drink - and Azeal's, he didn't deserve it - with her. She watched from the other end of the guild hall with the others as a spell swallowed Azeal's left arm, transforming it into something far more monstrous. He was just as ready to fight as Igneel was.

Igneel snarled and brought his fist up in a quick uppercut. "Fire Dragon Iron Fist!"

And just like that, the entire guild hall was in a ruckus, either yelling at the two boys or nearby guild members. Not that Azeal paid them any mind. Instead, he brought his new arm up in front of himself, letting the strongest part of him absorb the hit. Still, he stumbled back a step, snarling. In a moment he was on Igneel, fist first, clearing the space between them easily.

Igneel smiled, bending down and, once his rival was close enough and had his fist raised, shouted "Fire Dragon--" he then leaped forward with incredible speed and rammed Ito his gut head first. "--Sword Horn!"

Azeal flew back and then up, hitting the ceiling of the guild hall and sending onlookers scattering as they scrambled to avoid him in his decent. He crashed onto the floor, the air whooshing out of him. As if he'd give up that easily. He brought himself to his feet, then, with speed he could not possibly have achieved without the spell active, flew towards the other boy, fists landing in a flurry.

Seeing him coming, the Fire Dragonslayer leaped up just avoiding the onslaught and he inhaled a deep breath and then cupped his hands in front of his mouth. "Fire Dragon Roar!" He shouted, sending a stream of fire at him.

Azeal's only advantage in this fight was predictability. His spell was cast and done, but Igneel had to announce his every move. As such, he had an extra moment to react. He used it to his advantage now, diving forward and leaping up into the air and continuing his assault on the dragon slayer from the air.

Igneel saw him coming up and then made his foot light up on fire, one of the things he didn't have to recite anything more, and then landed against a post supporting the Hall and he latched onto it, watching as his guildmate rose up after him.

Azeal realised that if he were going to win this fight, he'd have to do more than a partial transformation. "Beast Sou-" Hale didn't have time to cut him off, but the whirling kick to the gut did that just fine for her. Azeal crashed down to the floor where he remained, the spell on his arm fading. He'd lost this one. "Don't be stupid, you absolute idiot," she said, kicking his upper arm. "What, a full transformation? You have to be kidding," she muttered, digging her boot into his side hard enough to be felt but not hard enough to hurt. "You really have got saw-dust for brains, huh?"

Igneel let go of the pillar and landed down on his feet and fist on the ground, before standing back up and shaking his head softly. "That or Beast Fur." He said as he walked off to get something to drink.
Quinn rolled her eyes and walked over to Azeal and helped him up. "You okay?" She asked, though she was still on the same side as Hale. He had no reason to attempt a full Takeover.

"Don't worry, I think my pride has bigger bruises than me," Azeal said, though he gratefully accepted the help in getting to his feet. The rest of the guild had returned to whatever it was they'd been doing some minutes ago, over the whole fight. "God, he always has to win, huh?"
Hale kicked him once more for good measure, returning to her drink. "Maybe if you were more specialised in combat," she commented over the edge of her mug. "You only really focused on the practical side of things when you were learning, you really should consider learning how to actually fight. You know, without magic. You'll never get S-Class if you refuse to learn basic hand-to-hand combat. Not to mention that Igneel will beat you every time you two get it into your heads that you have to fight." She glanced at him, her wink a silent congratulations on his win.

Igneel was sitting at the drink table, drinking something or other and he glanced over just in time to see Hale wink at him and he smiled gratefullly before turning away and focusing on his drink again.
Quinn nodded. "Yeah, Igneel focused both on learning spells as well as how to fight hand to hand. Plus his type of magic focuses domainly on impact-driven attacks, like his fists and fire plumes." She said.

Azeal sighed, snatching the mug for out of Hale's hands and ignoring her protests as he downed it. He'd seen her steal it, and clearly she realised because she just sighed and walked away to replace it. "Yeah. Still though. I couldn't get one win?"
"No," Hale yelled from across the room before finally leaving the conversation for good.

Quinn smiled and shook her head. "Nope!" She said goofily before walking over towards the Job Board, where Igneel was now standing and examining it, trying to find a nice job for him or him and his friends to do.

Azeal groaned, sitting down against the wall with a thud. Hale, meanwhile, had refilled her mug and joined the others by the job board. "You guys finding anything?" she asked, reading them slowly.

Igneel shrugged softly, but Quinn pointed one out. "There, that one." She said, indicating the job that described helping out a local town in dealing with some small time outlaws. "It might not pay too well but it would be something to do."

Hale took a swig of her drink, leaning forward to better see the job listing. She read it over, nodding slowly. "Doesn't seem like it would take too long, either," she commented. "It doesn't pay well but if we're only gone for a few days, it could be worth it anyway. Azeal, read this!" She unpinned it from the board, folded it quickly, then threw it to him. It arced through the air, landing a short distance away and Azeal snatched it up. "Sure," he called from his place against the wall. "Why not, right?"

Igneel nodded and smiled. "It's decided then, let's go!" He said with a bright grin as he walked over to Azeal and offered him a hand. "And good job back there, dude. Maybe one day I'll be the one on the floor." he said.

Azeal took his hand, hauling himself up and tucking the job listing into a pocket. "A man can dream," he said, but he was smiling.
Hale walked to join them, grabbing her jacket as she passed it. "I'll teach you how to fight," she promised. "Maybe. I'll give you a list of conditions later." She was smiling but she wasn't joking. They were friends but she took great care of her time. She couldn't just give it to him.

Igneel chuckled and made his way to the door, with Quinn following right behind them. After walking outside, Quinn shivered lightly from the cooling air but Igneel seemed perfectly fine. "Alright then, shall we leave right now?" The Fire Mage asked, turning to his friends.

"I don't see why not!" Hale said brightly, keeping her jacket on her arm. The cold didn't really bother her, at least not as much as it bothered Quinn and Azeal. It nipped at her skin, sure, it was just that she didn't really care. It wasn't magic keeping her warm, just being accustomed to lower temperatures. "What are we waiting for?" Azeal agreed, his shoulders drawn up against the cold. Unlike Hale and Igneel, he wasn't exactly known for withstanding temperature.

Igneel nodded. "Looks like we'll have to ride the train or some kind of automotive. The town is just too far to walk." He said, looking around, trying to decide what mode of transport to use. Looking back st his friends he chuckled and lagged back so he soon was walking beside them and then he cupped his hands around each other and then spread them apart so a ball of fire formed and provided a source of warmth for the other two.

"I love you," Azeal mumbled, gravitating towards the ball of fire. "I totally forgive you for calling me pompous." Hale rolled her eyes.
"Feeling hot and cold today, Azeal?"
He ignored her jab, focusing instead on the issue at hand. "I, for one, vote train. Those are usually warm."
Hale shrugged. "I don't mind taking the train. What about you guys?"

Quinn sighed happily and leaned more towards Igneel as he helped warm them and she rubbed her hands together. "Train sounds good to me."
Igneel nodded, continuing to walk as he also focused on keeping the ball of flame summoned. "Sure train sounds good. Though does anyone have some motion sickness pills?" he asked, blushing slightly. Although not as bad as his father, Igneel still got motionsickness on some modes of transport.

Hale dug through her pockets, then shook her head. "You're on your own on this one. Unless Azeal has anything." His only response was to raise a disbelieving eyebrow. "Yeah, alright, that was a long shot," Hale admitted.
