hello tomorrow I am getting my hair bleached into more of a blonde ombre. I've read just about every article on the matter of hair care, but I wanted to ask y'all because I trust the opinions of strangers on a cat forum a bit too much. so yeah. if you've bleached your hair what are some things you've had to change? like different shampoo, or sprays or stuff like that.

I haven't personally bleached my hair, but my mom has many, many times. I'll see her later today and I can ask her then. She's at work right now.

Use color safe shampoo not regular! It will be easier on your hair since most of the time when people color their hair - unless they are naturally a "bleach blonde" - they bleach it first. I recommend staying away name brand shampoos (dove, sauve, etc.) and use salon brands (smaller lines) but he careful with what kind you get depending on hair type! For example: I have really fine hair but lots of it and the aquage or any seaweed based shampoo dries it out and makes it fall out. While my mom who has thicker hair is fine using it. So I'd talk to someone who works at a salon (not a cheap place like great clips and that crap) and ask for their professional opinion since there are a variety of factors on what would work best.

My grandma frequently bleaches and dyes her hair but doesn't use anything that different aside from picking kids shampoo and conditioners over adult ones
