Lets have a debate shall we? I have had both long and short hair and currently have hair that barely brushes my shoulders.
Which do you prefer? For me currently I do prefer short hair (not pixie cut short, long enough to put in a tiny pony tail)
Long hair pros: majestic lots of styling options many compliments (wow, you have long hair)
Long hair cons: hottt like 1000 degrees expensive to color FRIZZ CENTRAL windy days are awfullll
Short hair pros: easy peasy cheap to color not a million degrees
short hair cons: limited styles

for me, personally, I 100% prefer short hair. not pixie cut short - though I have had one - but just about jaw length. I have really fine/thin hair so I can't style long hair anyway, meaning that there are no cons

I love long hair. love my hair I'm blessed. I just like long hair because I can style it so many different ways, because I get bored and experiment with weird things on my hair. I had shorter hair at one point and I couldn't do much with it other than curl/straighten which I always burn myself so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I prefer long hair. Mostly because if I ever were to cut it short, I'd look like a tumbleweed thanks to my natural curls. If I had straight or wavy hair, I might be more keen to try it. I'd probably only cut it to shoulder-length tho. Bobs and pixie cuts aren't my style.
so, here's my pros n cons I guess?? long hair pros: - lots of compliments - it frames my face nicely - looks great with hats - I don't look like a child (if I had short hair I'd probably look 4 years younger)
long hair cons: - hot - forget about looking good on a windy day, it ain't gonna happen - friends, family, teachers and total strangers bounce my curls and play with my hair without asking

I relate I don't have naturally curly hair, mine is more wavy but when I curl it everywhere I go someone is just like touching it and bouncing the curls. I was just casually taking notes in Science and this guy who sits next to me (who I have never talked to) goes "Did you know your hair is real soft? It looks good when curly." and proceeds to just play with my hair for the rest of class. how to get nebulae to actually kill you 101

I noticed when I chop my hair off and let it do its own thing it gets a lot of curl to it.

Long foe me is anywhere past my shoulders xD
I have really curly hair so I don't have many styling options when its short but its easier to style time-wise.
I like short beter bc its so much less painful.

My hair's below my waist and I think I'll keep it that way. It's the only compliment I get x:

ok i have a pixie cut rn (that i may or may not grow out, i miss my curls tho) and it's actually more work. like when i had long hair i didn't style it or anything, and i don't really style my short hair now, but a) it gets super wild in the morning from sleeping and needs products + time to style it back to normal needs to be trimmed more frequently than longer hair (i usually let it go for longer than advised) so i wouldn't say it's easier than having longer hair, at least for me

I have and prefer long hair. I prefer it mainly because if I'm just sitting and lounging my friends will sit behind me and play with my hair. Braid it, fishtail it, or whatever they want. One of my friends gives me head massages when she does this and I love it so much
I like the idea of short hair, but only in a specific style. I like short hair down or a little farther than the chin, crimped. But my hair doesn't crimp, curl, or wave since it's so thin, so I just keep it straight and long.

I currently have a pixie cut and I love it, 100% prefer to long hair for me. It's mostly because I am extremely lazy and long hair is just so much effort, but with my hairstyle I can just not even dry my hair and let it air dry and it still looks pretty good. Back when I tried to grow my hair out it would just keep sticking up everywhere and getting in my face. I say "back when I had long hair" but I've never been able to grow my hair too far past my shoulders. It takes really long to grow for me and I'm impatient. Sometimes I wish I could have long hair because it's majestic but haha no that is way too much work for me. Plus, I think I look better with short hair.
The only con for me is that I also dress pretty masculine/androgynous so I get called "sir" all the time (which I don't really mind all that much, I'm kind of used to it, but still) and I have at least once been asked if I was in the right bathroom, which bothered me a bit more.

ive had both and while i love long, the only way to get my hair to look the way i want it is to straighten it (its pretty wavy when long and like not straight enough to be the scene/band style i like) when my hair is short it looks cute right out of bed and it takes less time to wash and deal with. i think i just look better with short hair too so short all the way

short hair is the best because my hair mats quickly when left long

i wear mine long, have been for years. It did get to a length (almost down to my butt) where it was starting to weigh on my head and give me frequent headaches, so I cut it down to about my mid back. I know this sounds backwards, but I'm terrible at styling (aside from curling) so I have to keep it medium length to long so that I can throw it up in a messy bun or ponytail at a moment's notice.
Also with the amount of hair I shed in a day I'd be concerned that if I cut it there might be nothing left lol

With short hair I kinda look like a five year old because it's super curly and I have a baby face so..... On me personally, I wish that my hair was super long...like, not down to my hips or something crazy like that but I think it would make me look a bit more...ya know....like my age if it were a few inches away from my elbows.
But honestly if my hair weren't as thick and if it were naturally straight then it would look SO weird....I think that for people with that type of hair it would look better to have shorter hair...but that's just my opinion.

i've had long hair, pixie cut, and medium length cuts. medium is my favorite so far, honestly. long enough to pull into a ponytail but easy to manage. i never really style my hair anyway so it doesn't bother me. short was cute too but it's too annoying to cut it and keep it looking decent

long hair is absolute hell to take care of, esp with curls and frizz like me -_- tho when done right it is Easy Breezy Beautiful
and another con is that when girls wear it it's fine but when guys wear it generally it's received as kinda... strange
short hair is nice but,,, kinda,,, eh really. not a lot you can do with it but it's easier to manage

I prefer medium, like a little past my shoulders. Shorter than my shoulders and I look like a poodle, and really long it just starts to look stringy. All I do to care for my hair is wash it and brush it, nothing else, and every time I go get it cut, the stylist always makes some comment about how I have some of the healthiest hair they've ever seen. It naturally has a litttle wave to it, but by the end of the day it'll be completely straight.
