my sister and I were doing a puzzle (Well right now she's cooking) and it was
so boring
like I've told her that it's boring and not even that fun (we're stuck on the edges) but she's still saying "It's mindfulness uwu it's gonna help your anxiety and stimming"
My sister doesn't realize that 1. Anxiety doesn't stop because of a 1000 piece puzzle, nor does mindfulness "cure" anxiety, and 2. I WILL STIM NO MATTER WHAT YOU'VE LIVED WITH IT FOR FOURTEEN YEARS WHY CAN'T YOU LIVE WITH IT NOW
I kinda wanna burn the puzzle now because the full picture is cool but I'M NOT SPENDING ANOTHER TWO HOURS SCREWING AROUND WITH A PUZZLE

I hate doing puzzles and I started one with a friend and it took five hours. I refused to give up tho. If I started I was going to finish no matter how much I hate it.

I like doing puzzles, but only the not-1000 piece ones. Those are just hellish. it's fine, it was just mind numbingly boring. But my sister says "Oh you weren't stimming when you were concentrating on the puzzle!" Yeah, that's because I was half asleep.

I can only ever handle doing puzzles alone at my own pace for some reason.
If I do them with someone else my brain auronatically enters "don't touch my stuff" mode and I get irritable when people keep reaching across the table to grab pieces or put things in places I've been ogling over for hours trying to figure them out. I just become a total bish and it takes the fun/relaxation out of puzzling
Now, give me a puzzle I can do on my own without interruption, and a good playlist to go with it, and that is true bliss right there xD
