You absolutely may borrow him! Had you asked on the day we found him, I would have flat out given him to you, because I REALLY didn't want another cat, though he's kinda growing on me now.THE STORY OF EVERY CAT OWNERS LIFE TBH I gotta say, I really did want all of my others. When my husband found Ravenpaw trying to bury himself under a tree in the mall parking lot with cars zipping by on a road just a few feet away, we knew he would die for sure if we left him there. We had every intention of taking him to a shelter, but nobody in a 4 county area would take him (kitten season), and neither of us had it in us to just dump a 5 week old kitten somewhere. It was only 3 months after Keiko died, I wasn't ready to take on another cat, and I still emotionally struggle to let him in. He deserves a good life though, and we know we can handle 6 at a time, so I guess it's just how it was meant to be. I did feel really bad though, because days after we took him in, you asked for help with your Grandmother's cats, and I knew we were once again full and unable to help.

My neighbor has a cat named Ravenpaw, but he is so fat I take it they are also Warriors fans? Is their cat black?

Poor kitty. I hope he/she will get better soon. I rescued my cat from the wild She was an abandoned kitten by her own mother due to sickness I helped her and she survived.. But I don't have her anymore as something bad happened to her

I have the pleasure of all my dogs being healthy, so I can't relate too much. Best of luck, though.

But I don't have her anymore as something bad happened to her I'm sorry she's gone So far the infection has spread from Ravenpaw to 3 of my other 5. I figure it's a matter of time before the other 2 start sneezing as well, as they are both showing the early stages (runny eyes, one was sniffling a bit but not sneezing). Hopefully the meds help quickly, because poor Torino is absolutely miserable right now.

Semi unrelated but when i was younger I used to call my cat Graystripe sometimes and pretend that my house is the one he went to before finding the clans again.

When my cat was sick all the cat meds did not work.... so instead I improvised and gave her my own cold and flu meds and they helped. XD

I would be so scared to give them human medicine. The meds seem to be working for Ravenpaw, since he's been on them the longest (just over a week), and he was by far the worst off, so bad that when we came back from vacation, we found him sneezing blood. The others have only been on them 2 days so far, so I'll have to wait and see how they work, but they were all put on the meds within a day or 2 of beginning to sneeze, so they shouldn't take as long to get better.

Turin not Torino if any of our cats had a cold we'd give them half a baby aspirin pill wrapped in lunch meat or cheese or something and that usually worked. But like, make sure it's baby aspirin and not regular.

I'm going to give the Clindamycin a chance first, since I just went up there this morning and got a second bottle so that everyone could have some. If that doesn't work, I'll consider alternate medicines.

I've made the mistake of extra-overspoiling one of my cats when he was really sick once to the point he would sometimes try to fake sick to get me to baby him again. It was terrible.

lol, I love how smart they are
Like I said in the fist post, Torino is coming to me wanting comfort, trying to meow but it barely comes out, so I'll go to pick him up to hug him, and he just sneezes in my face. Booger has figured out I think that his insulin shots make him feel better, and has started seeking me out around the times he gets shots to lead me into the kitchen to the needle station.

My mom's diabetic cat Danada did that too. But she'd still always howl about it because getting a needle is never fun. She passed away back in february but she was an 18 year old cat so she lived a good long healthy life aside from all that.

I'm sorry about Danada. 18 is good though, Booger will be 16 next week, so 18 would be a good goal for him.
Both Booger and Keiko always took the needles like champs. Giving Torino that liquid medicine though, you'd think I was trying to kill him, he fights so bad that it takes both my husband and I to hold him down just to give him one dropper of medicine.

We've had several cats live to be in their 20s, all from the same litter oddly enough. I had to get stitches in my hand from trying to give one of them medicine once. :V not fun.

In September 2012 Long time ago.... i never found her body.... So maybe she is alive.... I used my meds as the cat meds did not work at all.... I think her sickness was too strong. She was I think dying... not sure But was in a very bad shape. I did not give her the full tablet. Just part of it. It helped. But you don't try. Just in case. I was just desperate to help her
