featherleg "A-Aye I will-" Derrick nodded then saluted in a playful manor. "Do not worry my lady, all will be well." With that he nodded and quickly rushed out. He had little time to spend so he considered a new alternative; The boys should be returning-I can send them out to get what I need... He rushed through the camp heading for the entrance. Seeing as time has past, it would be about a bit before the group in the morning returned. As he approached the entrance he noticed a horse riding in with a rather excited Vidal. "I beat them all!" Vidal claimed proudly. Derrick approached, "Well good for you." He stated calmly. "Oh hello derrick!" Vidal greeted. "Hello to you two, but I will neeed to ask of you once more." Derrick firmly stated. "A task? Sure-" Vidal nodded. "Head back out to the woods with the group you were with; go out and seek herbs in the nearby clearings. We could grately use them." Derrick explained. Vidal frowned but son nodded. Hearing the sound of another horse approaching he turned. "Oi, Drew we gotta go back into the woods." "W-Why?" Drew raised a brow. "We are going to pick flowers." Vidal joked. Drew's jaw dropped. "W-Wait....what?" "I kid.." Vidal nodded. "We are going to collect herbs though, probably to help some who got injured yesterday." "Is this true?" Drew turned to Derrick. Derrick nodded. "Alright then.." Drew turned his horse. "Let's go!" "Let's see who gets the most first!" Vidal challenged as he quickly rode off. "No fair!" Drew called out. Seeing the two go; he let out a sigh of relief. "That leaves Rowlin, and Grayson in the woods. then Jakup and Ungus still out-" He flinched. "I-I'm actually here." Jakup muttered behind him. "Were't you too scount?" Derrick raised a brow. "I-I did but I returned early, as I had finished my rounds." Jakup nodded. "And Ungus?" Derrick leaned to the left. "With Grayson, working with Rowlin on Sword Techniques.." Jakup replied. Derrick nodded, "Okay-" Why?"So-what should I do now?" Jakup tilted his head. "Go assure that the carpanters are doing as requested." Derrick quickly replied. "O-O-Okay..." Jakup stepped back , with a firm dismissal. I-I never want to have kids... Derrick thought to himself now shrugging at this. He had managed to split the tasks at hand by asking others, which was a relief, but there were still priorities on the line. Some referencing to inspecting every cabin while supplies were coming in. He let out a frustrating shrug now at the simple thought. "Oh please.." He mutterd softly. Now stepping out he headed off for the next direction; but he paused for a moment to think that he herd someone calling him out. He looked around in deep thought. S-Someone calling me? He looked around once more then rested a hand against his palm. "I'm going to hear things all day..." He muttered to himself then rushed off o start his search.

Pacing back and forth in her cabin, Celestia sighed as she peaked out the window once more. If I go out now everyone will question me--including Derrick. She dropped back down onto the bed and grabbed her notebook, flipping through it in a bored and lazy manner while she hummed one of the many songs her elders taught her during her training and education. featherleg"It's not a problem, you know my parents love you. They won't be back until late, and James said he might drop by Dalton's again, so I have money for take out if you want. Or you know, we can raid my fridge again. That never gets old." Lily chuckled, then added, "I'll let you know if there's anything you can do. Actually, I think my mom left a list of chores, but like, I'd rather sit for a while first." James finally made it back to the office, and at long last he took a sip of his coffee. He was the only the only one there for the moment, but it was good to have a moment to himself. The week had barely started, and it had already been a long one. He needed a minute to just shut his eyes and pretend the world was quiet and normal. Sometimes, that was the only way to stay sane at the VDA. Even with the strength he had gotten from his friends, even with the careful eye of Zeus on him, Dalton suddenly felt dizzy. He knew what it was by now. Another vision of Aika. This time, it didn't even start off with her. It was that fight Dalton got into in middle school, the one where he nearly broke his arm. Some popular kids were bearing down on him, Dalton was on the ground, pushed down, nose bleeding, and he thought he knew where this story was going- this was the part where he bolted to his feet, taking them off guard, and doing a massive round kick that made them all crash into the ground like dominoes. Before he could so much wobble to his feet, that punch had taken more out of him than he liked to admit, Aika was there, socking the main bully in the face. That was what gave Dalton the surge of energy to get back up and get back to fighting. Together, they walked away, bruised, but satisfied. "We are going to get in so much trouble." Dalton grinned. "A simple thank you will suffice," Aika teased, wiping blood away from her split lip. "Thank you." Dalton said, still grinning. "Bro? You look like you're gonna pass out." He vaguely heard Zeus exclaim. "Yeah, feels like it too," he groaned as his regular sight soon returned.

featherlegDerrick stopped at a corner to see Ungus approaching him. He slowed down and now raised a brow, "W-What comes it?" He asked. "W-Well Derrick asked me to ask you, if we could borrow some of the supplies holding different kinds of blades." Ungus asked. "The answer is yes, now go do what you need; and leave me be." Derrick waved now turning in a different direction. Ungus watched him go, before heading off himself. Derrick made his way back for his quarters; it was more along the lines of loosing his mind then much else. But he thought in the least he should tell Celestia the change of plans. Slowing at the door he walked in, quickly closing the door behind him. He made his way into the room where Celestia was at then waved at her but quickly rushed towards his things. He hesitated no time searching through his belongings. "It's a long story-" Derrick began, as he searched around. "But do keep in mind that I sent another group for your herbs. I have checked on the princess, and now I'm going to go searching though all the cabin's for personal belongings." He told her as he made his way through his own belongings. "I-I just need to see if I still have-ah!" He pulled out a velvet leather sack; then pulled off the rope which kept it closed. He then proceeded to pull out a book. "But I do promise to catch you up on everything once I return-" He added. "But while I'm here how goes your day?" His voice was full of passion, but there was a bit of hypervenalating every now and then.

"Fridge raid is scheduled for 7:30, as always." She said with a grin. "I'll take at look at the list after we eat. I'm guessing we need to clean James' office again?" That usually was marked, underlined, and bolded since there were always too many cups of coffee scattered in his office. Returning to the office, Aika made sure to readjust her jacket to cover her wrists before entering quietly. "Hey, is he alright?" She asked as she sat down next to James. RosestarCelestia blinked a few times as she watched and listened to him. "Well, everything seems to have healed for the most part, I just need the herbs to finish it so thank you for taking care of that. I tried meditating but someone or something is interfering--you didn't see that glyph on your wrist I'm guessing." She scouted over next to him and gently grabbed his wrist, showing him the glyph she had sent him while checking his pulse to see his heart rate was above normal. "I know your busy, but you should probably rest for a minute or two. Maybe then you can explain what's going on?" Auransky

Drew, and vidal will come knock when they return with your herbs." He smiled, then blinked again when she mentioned a glyph. "O-Oh..." He allowed her to move his wrist. "W-Well...' He shyly looked away. "I sent Drew, and Vidal back into the woods. Found Jakup had returned so I left him to tend to the carpenters. Bumped into Ungus who was working with Grayson for Rowlin's sword practice." His voice softened. "B-But I thought I did hear someone call for me.." His face lit up a shade of red. "I-If it was you I apologize-things just rolled on me." He looked at her directly; seeing her just made all the troubles go away. With his free hand he pulled out the composition book. "I talked with the princess; and she has asked me to inspect everyones personal belongings while they are all out. Since we are restocking, it would give me good reason to play the devil in this case." He rose back back and shifted back towards the bed. "The other reason I came back here was to just let you know of the change of plans-I know I asked you to-well stay put, but I feel that I may need your help on this day." He frowned. "Theres a lot of ground to cover, and such little time." He flipped through the pages of the composition book. "The reason we are checking, is because we think a traitor may be on the premise." He frowned. "After discussing with the princess of her condition; she mentioned that a fragment has returned to her lost memory. But that fragment came with a sketch she drew, and that sketch is the same image of the people we are fighting. "A-Ah!" He nodded, "Vincent too sketched it himself; two flames , arcing and twisting against one another with two hands in between." He passed Celestia the book to see for herself. "This is the first Entry Vincent would have written about this group we encountered. This particular entry discusses the day I toured him through the town, and the people we encountered preaching against our ways of life."

featherlegSatisfied with the answer, Lily kicked off her shoes. "You guessed it. I've been meaning to talk to him about that, like, we shouldn't have to clean up his office and whatever, but this week, he's been spending a lot of time with Dalton, and when he gets home, he just, wandered around the house for a minute, grabs some water, and goes to bed. Honestly, I feel more bad for him than anything at this rate." Lily said, tucking her knees to her chest and looking up at the ceiling in thought. "He seemed better in the car. More open to banter, willing admitting to me that something was wrong, unlike the usual "I'll be fine" crud he always tries to get past us. But he still seemed worried, definitely confused about what was happening to him. And I noticed something funny with his key chain. Don't think I'm crazy, but I swear it was changing colors to dark red. Do you think it has anything to do with that Gen 1?" James said, forgetting to pause for breath in his worry. It all sort of spilled out at once, and at the end, James took a deep breath, and then another sip of coffee.

And I probably should have told you about that spell, it's a bit finicky at times." She let go off his wrist as she nodded. "I'd be more than willing to help." Looking over the emblem in the book, she traced her finger over it as she spoke,"So if the traitor is here, they'll have this emblem on them. Her eyes met with his as she faced towards him. "If this individual killed Vincent, then we need to be careful in how we approach. Not only in our actions but our words as well." Auransky

featherleg Derrick nodded, "Aye-but they also lack knowledge in herbs, so they might be out for a little longer." He winked, then grinned like a child. "I most will appreciate your help!" His voice too had lit up with excitement. "The traitor may have it.." He agreed then gave a little grasp of amazement, "T-That's right! I-I didn't once think of that-" He blinked now, "The emblem on them; it just flew over me. Oh how I always appreciate your kindly wisdom." He laughed lightly. "But-yes.." He coughed now trying to return to the moment of seriousness. "We must be cautious in our approach-much well agreed." He paused, "But-we must not worry about that in broad daylight right?" Jakup had gone around his rounds with the carpenters. Everything seemed to be going well as requested. So with that he decided that maybe heading back to his cabin may be the best of choices. "O-Oi Jakup!" Called a voice in the distance. Jakup paused then turned to greet the individual directly, "Oh why hello there Lacklan; how goes it?" He raised a brow. "IS there something needed tending?" "Not in terms of emergencies no.." Lacklan shook his head. His rather hazzle eyes greeted his companions' blue gaze. "Well then-if not maybe we can talk later-" Jakup flinched. "I-I was wondering if you could check something out with me in the woods.." Lacklan softly stated. "I-I want to confirm something before I consider reporting it to Sir. Derrick, or the princess." Jakup nodded slowly, "w-Well I guess-" He considered. "Great!" Lacklan nodded then rushed off, "Come on!" "R-Right-" Jakup yelped seeing him run off. quickly he raced after him. "Alright let's see this posture.." Grayson stood out firmly then turned his head to check on Rowlin. "Stay there.." he confirmed after he assured then walked over to Rowlin to readjust his posture.

They think that since he hasn't gotten a case in a while, he can handle all the work now. They mean well, but I just don't think they understand the nature of these cases, even after all these years." The North parents worked at running a fairly popular restaurant in the city, one serving and one hosting. Though they knew their son's job was important and stressful, sometimes they forgot that just because you don't work regular, exhausting shifts all the time doesn't make the next shift any easier. The only reason why James even learned about the VDA was through Dalton and his dad. Honestly. Where would James be without Dalton sometimes? It was hard to tell. "If you think it's nothing, it's probably nothing. Could be just the stress getting to me. I just want to make sure all our cards are on the table, and we aren't missing something that's right in front of us." James sighed, rubbing his temples. His lack of sleep the night before was beginning to show. "I just, I want to help him, you know?"

She smiled softly at his enthusiasm. "It's simple magic really, but at least we know to look for it." Advantage in sunlight... "I think we'll be fine. The only people that benefit from the sun or moon are casters from villages around here like mine, and they only benefit from full moons. That being said, I haven't encountered a caster who has benefited from the sun, so it could be possible. We do have a lot of snow here though which I can use in case things get too intense." Auransky

Nariko nodded as she put her comic down and face towards her. "Well, hopefully this case will help them understand." She looked down at the couch as she ran her hand through her hair. "I've seen some of the injuries older agents can get. I'm not sure what causes them, but it doesn't look normal. Of course my mom knows how to treat almost anything so your brother should be fine if he ever gets hurt." She said confidently. "Also, when are we going to meet that Aika girl he and Dalton talk about? She seems a lot nicer than Naomi, although Naomi is really cool." Thank goodness... She thought as she leaned forward and nodded with James. "I know. I want to help him too. Seeing him like this...it doesn't feel right." Funny, if only you knew what was hiding right in front of you. "You should get some rest too. I'll finish up here and contact Naomi before I go home, just in case she finds something." Rosestar

featherleg "Well then, whole those two attend to the strongest mission ever, shall we go and see what we find?" He released a quirky laugh, then stood up. He turned to hold his hand out for Celestia, "shall we?" He smiled. "A-Are you sure it's out here?" Jakup looked around, the trees were getting thinner the farther they got. The once soft ground now getting rockier. mountain trrrain He continued walking ahead but passed as the sight of a ravine up ahead made Jim shiver a little. "Yea, right up ahead!" Lacklan encouraged. He led the way for the ravine then stopped at the edge, the drop was pretty deep; enough to potentially scar for life. Jakup approached cautiously to the edge. He then looked down only to fill his face in shock. Had it not been for the sunlight he perhaps would not have seen the bottom. "Thats one of ours!?" He knelt down trying to learn out as close as he could to get a better view. "I-I can't tell who it ." He frowned. "We should return and tell Derick." "I-I knew i could trust you!" Lacklan stated with a positive tone. "O-or we can all stay quiet about this." Another voice spoke through the background. "T-That sounds like-" Lachlan turned only to let out a cry of pain as a thrown dagger stabbed into the back of his arm. He stumbled and fell forward, " losing his group in the process. "H-Hang on!" Jakup quickly removed the whip of his shoulder and used it to reach out for Lacklan's leg. thank goodness..."I-Im fine!" Lachlan called from the bottom, as he dangled by the whip. Against the pain, Lacklan thruster himself upwards to take a fuol hold of the whip. "N-Now!" The two worked quickly. Jakup pulled, and lacklan climbed. Jakup was on the edge himself, not just literally, but the fact that he was a sitting duck. The dagger user was waiting , it would be a slow death, right? He noticed something flicker within the bushes Tch! Out of time! Jakup quickly swung the whip without second thought. While it hurt Lacklan, jakeup was working on momentum to throw Lacklan. One-Two....Three! quickly he thrust Lacklan out of the edge and into one of the nearby clearing. that guy is really light otherwise-d-Damn!? Jakup was very distracted with how light Lacklan was that he forgot about he attacked. The attacker jumped out of the bushes and rushed for him. It Was fellow knight Brodey. The knight rushed at him with a digger at hand. The dagger pierced right into Jakup's stomach. Followed by the stab, Brodey knocked him down the ravine with his own body weight. A slow and painful death....huh?Brodey turned now to finish Lacklan, but the knight had rushed off leaving a blood trail in the process. Lacklan raced through the woods, not daring to look back. He rained silent, as his feet crushed the forest floor. He came to an upright stop, nearly hitting Drew's horse. "L-Lackan you look like you've seen a ghost-" Drew cut himself off quickly jumping off his horse to examine The knight. "That knife?!" "P-Pull it out oh please.." Lachlan begged. Drew hesitated at first but proceeded to do so. Vidal rode in, "you look like you've seen a ghost." "Lavklan did." Drew corrected. "C-Come , please! " Lacklan pleaded in panic. Drew looked over at Vidal in concern. The two hesitated but nodded eventually. "Lead the way-" Drew encouraged.

She quickly fashioned her cloak and pendant around her as well as her rapier before taking his hand. "Lead the way." No, maybe I meant something else... Aika thought to herself as she read passage after passage from her old diaries. She stopped mid page as the smell of blood punctured the air around her, leaving her in a state of confusion as she tried to figure out whether another troop had been struck or an animal had simply been caught. Not again. Without a doubt, whomever was bleeding was human, and it was close. Quickly she changed out of her robe into what she usually wore under her armor and went into the living room to put on her breastplate. Not caring about the state of her long hair being left down or the concern that was written across her face, she ran directly over to Derricks cabin and started knocking on the door. Auransky

featherlegDerrick smiled fondly at Celestia. When she held his hand he felt a wave of energy.return to his.most busy morning. He wanted to yell out something childish, but kept it to himself. He led her through the house ready to take on the day, only to blink at the sound of a.door knock. "Well let's see who it is." He continued to hold her hand,"they shouldn't be back for another few hours-" reaching the front door he opened the door. "P-Princess?!" Derricks stumbled now. "What brings this surprise?" He tilted his head Lacklan, had led both Drew and Vidal along the Rocky terrain. But they took a different path in case Brodey was there. "This cave-" Vidal stopped his horse to look in. "Whats wrong?" Drew paused to turn. "I - I herd a murmer..." Vidal got off his horse then took out a candle from his sack. Using the candle he lit it up then cautiously approached the cave. Drew jumped off his horse as well, and cautiously followed with his bow at hand. The two had to go in a bit of a way, before they came to the faint outline of a person up ahead. The two.without thinking rushed deeper into the cave to see who it was. "H-Hey that's Brodey?!" Vidal blinked in confusion. "And he reeks..." Drew waved against the air. "He smells dead, but that smell should not come this early , wait ?" Vidal knelt down. "Wasnt he alive yesterday? The day before-why does he smell like he's been out here for a bit." "I dunno-" Drew turned his attention towards the outside of the cave. "Lacklan go back to camp and warn the others-" The sound of the two horses getting spooked caught their attention. "W-Whats going on out there?!" Drew.called out , dragging Vidal towards the entrance of the cave. As they got closer the sound of shaking within the cave, made them loose balance. The ground crumbled, and dirt fell from the ceiling. "L-Look out!" Vidal quickly pushed Drew back inside as rocks collapsed right through the entrance. Drew was dumbfounded by this. Vidal wasted no time rushing towards the wall of rocks. "L-Lacklan what's going on?!" "Attackers! Two of.them on ground, and three on top of the cave entrance! They collapsed your guys in, and threw snakes into the clearing to spook the horses away!" "Then get out of here!" Vidal snapped. "R-Right-when I-I find an opening." Lachlan held his ground. Drew stayed on the ground for a bit, "just.what in blazes is going on-"

"Something is happening. I don't know what or who, but someone must have been attacked." For a brief moment her eyes darkened to a dark red hue before returning to their original state. Celestia cursed around her breath as she squeezed Derricks hand. "You wouldn't be reacting the way you were if someone wasn't bleeding. We need to act quickly. Can you track the scent down?" Aika nodded as she made room for the two to exit the cabin as Celestia whistled for their horses and stood next to her. "Stay focused, alright? The moment you break your concentration is the moment your guard will be broken." She whispered quietly as their horses approached. Aika nodded back as she mounted her stead. Auransky

featherlegOnce outside Derrick gazed out for a moment. "I-I hope the boys are okay... they are all still out there.." his gaze held concern. When the horses arrived he gently pulled away, "Just-Don't over do it, both of you." Derrick's voice held concern as he approached his own horse. He mounted then awaited , "In this case, I follow your orders." Derrick addressed Aika in a serious manor. "A little more weight on the back leg." Grayson knelt down to adjust Rowlin's foot work. "Alright, and what about hand posture?" Rowlin raised a brow. "Its firm, so we really just need to work on leg posture." Grayson assured. ungus leaned against a tree in the same clearing. He watched the two work, occasionally stepping in to help. Yet something felt odd about the bushes ahead, so he moved away from the tree, then cautiously approached. He had his daggers at hand for assault if needed. "N-No.don't!" Lacklan jumped out into the clearing panting in pain, and exhaustion. He looked like a mess with dirt and dried blood all over him. "What in blazes?!" Ungus flinched.w "w-what happened?" "We were assaulted in the ravine...Jakup and I; brodey attacked us. Then - Drew and Vidal were trapped in a cave." He panted. Rowlin and Grayson rushed over. "H-How many?!" Grayson's tone had risen. "Five at the cave, and brodey directly attacking us at the ravine." Lacklan panted some more. "But they are coming-" Grayson turned quickly unsheathing his sword to block a direct sword assault. His eyes widened to see the attacker, "R-Riley?!" He used both hands to keep his sword firm. "I'm going to turn you traitors in!" Riley declared, forcing his sword down upon Grayson. Grayson thrusted his opponents sword, upwards before kicking Riley away. "T-Traitors? He said traitors.." He blinked. "W-We need to report this-" Ungus was surprised by Lacklan tackling him across the flank. "W-What was that for?!" Lacklan pointed to the tree behind them to reveal an arrow. Ungus swallowed, "good eye.." "A-Anytime---" Lacklan lightly laughed. "Anyways," Ungus blinked looking over at Rowlin who had taken cover from the side. "Lacklan, Rowlin go back to camp." He suggested. "W-We'll let Derick know for sure!" Rowlin firmly nodded. "Alright let's go!" Lacklan rushed off. "H-Hey wait!" Rowlin rushed after. Ungus was to release a breath of relief, instead he rolled out of another arrows path. Wasting no time he took cover behind a tree. "Oh come on, stand still and die you traitor." A voice called out from the other end of the clearing. Ungus recognised the voice. "Augustus?!" He leaned out of the tree, but quickly retreated back in when three arrows fired. "Bingo!" Augustus replied. Grayson, and Ridely made their way through the clearing. Clashing, defense, offense, then rotating all over again.

Both nodded in unison before Aika pulled on the reigns and started leading them into the forest. While she had the scent of the first wound, she began to pick up another that went in another direction and that seemed increasing in how strong it was by each passing second. "Two injuries, one seems closers and continuous at a small rate, while the other is farther away and increasing at an alarming rate." She gestured as she spoke in the two directions that she had picked up on. "I'll head to the farther one. If the pool is too big you'll lose your control." Celestia asserted before riding off into the clearing. Let's hope the injury isn't too large. "Alright then, we should head in the opposite direction." While her tone was firm, there was a small glint of fear in her eyes as she repositioned her horse back towards the forest. Auransky

featherleg Derrick slowed his horse seeing the two do so. When she pointed to more then one incident he frowned at the thought. "Then..." He looked between Celestia and Aika. "I-I shall follow the Princess, as a precaution. Should she sense anything else; then I will branch off from there." He repositioned his own horse. She has better senses then myself... should she pick something else off, I can go check from there- Bottom of the Gorge I-I'm not dead... Jakup's vision was blurry; no matter how he tried to adjust his view. He grasped the rocky ground below him, only to swear in pain. T-That's right-the knife....stomach...and I rolled-I-I think... He forcefully rolled himself to the side to see the blood pool before him. R-Right Brodey stabbed and tossed me in- He recalled still on the floor. Forcing himself halfway, he looked up to see the top of the rocky wall. I fell in, and when I hit the ground I didn't get exactly to the bottom....I rolled and that-s when this blasted dagger pierced.. He slammed the ground with a fist then looked up ahead, his eyes widdening. Seeing another body up ahead or what appeared to be three people because of his blurry vision; he dragged himself sideways across the terrain. "At the bottom of a gorge...and there's another corpse...this is my lucky day.." He muttered. WHen he got close to the corpse the double vision was unifying. "W-Wait.." He coughed, "That's Nicholas?!" He coughed again. In the cave "Well..." Vidal shrugged relighting his candle. "We got some light, and it's still day. We'll certainly get out of this." He assured. Drew had approached the corpse, "Brodey...who in blazes did this to you." He knelt by the corpse. He began inspecting it, seeing as it was cold as ice. "It's been here for longer then a day for sure, but to rot especially in cold weather; it should take much longer." Vidal approached. "Cold take longer, like freezing?" Drew nodded. "If it was rotting in a non winter enviornment, it would take about a few days to start reeking. But in cold weather it extends to about a week." He frowned. "But that raised questions." "Like Brodey who we saw the other day?" Vidal knelt alongside Drew. Drew nodded. "Our horses properly fled....too so for all we know" He shrugged. "We need to wait for Lacklan.." In the clearing Ungus went around the clearing trying to close in on Augustus. But everytime he did, the archer would blow more arrows in his direction forcing him back. Ungus was a close combat specialist, and to be fighting a distance; was a big challenge. But once he broke through, Augustus would be left defenseless. "Just give it up!" Augustus had climbed a tree for safer insurance, and bagan firing more arrows. "Surrender and admit to all these falts!" "Just stop, and die." Riley rushed in from the left with a loweer angled slice. Grayson turned his grip around to deflect the lower slice, skipping away in the process. "What madness has you?!" He called out in surprise. "We know you two have been selling us out, now give it up!" Riley lashed at him again. Running.... Lacklan and Rowlin had the intention to run back for camp, but something small-er big forced them to detour for their lives. It was not a living creature, but it might as well be. The forest behind them or the directions they had come from had souns of crackling, and snapping. It followed with the smell of burning. It was a fire, a wild fire; too precise to be some random coincidence. Unlike most fires; it slithered after the two, leaving nothing more then a burned aftermath; no fire just the end result. The two knights had decided to get farther and farther away from the main woods; heading into the darker thicker woods. The issue is that they had decided to stay away from that portion as a group; so no has ever inspected that area. They were racing in blindly.

The two knights had decided to get farther and farther away from the main woods; heading into the darker thicker woods. The issue is that they had decided to stay away from that portion as a group; so no has ever inspected that area. They were racing in blindly. (So Celestia is heading towards Jakup and the cave and Aika is heading towards Grayson and Ungus) Aika slowed her stead as she heard shouting close but far enough for her hearing to pick up on. Lowering herself, she motioned for Derrick to follow her quietly as she kept herself in line with the bushes around him, watching her step as she went. Upon seeing Grayson and Ungus under attack, she signaled to Derrick to take on whomever was attacking Ungus while she would take on Riley. Once she turned her focus back to the attack, something in her mind finally clicked. You finally trust me, huh? Questioned the voice in her head as her eyes darkened and a flow of red energy swirled around her hand, forming a blade. She nodded before taking a single step, and within an instant she was behind Riley, her blade sinking deep into his chest. "You should know, I do not take betrayal lightly." She pulled her blade back before grabbing his neck from the front and pressing him down into the snow. "Who sent you?" Her voice demanded. "Shiku." Her voice lightly called out into the cold as a sharp, light blue over took her iris. A small trial of blue light began to carve through the snow, giving her path towards the gorge. Oh gods, no! Pulling her horse to a halt, she carefully made her way over to the edge of the gorge, gasping to herself as she saw someone below with the Hakuryu family crest down into their armor. She tooling a step back as she casted a spell, bringing her down to his side. "H-Hey, can you hear me?" Celestia asked as she took in her surroundings, wondering how on earth he survived the drop. Auransky(So Shiku is suppose to mean 'seek' in Japanese, hopefully I translated that correctly.)

I'll finish up here and contact Naomi before I go home, just in case she finds something." Rosestar "Yeah, I've always liked Naomi. But I have no idea about Aika. She doesn't seem to swing by like Dalton, and whenever I pop into their office, she's not there a lot. Probably a coincidence but it's pretty weird." Lily mused. "But in any case, James has been speaking well of her lately. She's been helping Dalton and him a lot. Naomi is focused on her own thing from what I hear. Normal stuff." James shrugged. "I don't mind sticking around. It hasn't felt all that long to me, believe it or not." Crazy, considering what happened that day. "What can I do to help you? We all need our rest."

AuranskyTom blinked a few times, taking in a slight info overload. Then, once his ears had successfully relied the information to his brain he smile. He kind of liked the guy, he had a sense of humor. "You should never ask what you're eating if it tastes good. The universe has a tendency to be cruel when it comes to it's foods of the world." He pointed to the menu. "At least you know that this menu has the simple stuff. Though that can be quite boring sometimes." Tom sat back, letting his back straighten. He'd been leaned over for a few minutes. "From the sound of it, you've been all over the world." Tom wondered if they shared that in common. On his travels he'd often looked into different restaurants. Never tried anything, but he had looked.

featherleg Riley's expression of firey passion changed to pure pain. His breathing was compromised, he felt blood pouring up his lungs. "W-W-We w-Will stop all....w-Who...dare soil o-our princesses....n-name-" he forced his words out. "Evidence f-found...i-in G-Graysons...." He struggled to speak. Grayson backed away, hearing Riley call him a traitor. This scared him, but seeing the princess was scaring even more. He backed away speechless. "W-We found evidence in both of their cabins while helping resupply." Augustus called out. "They killed Nicholas who is at the bottom of the George!" He stood high in the tree. "T-They also killed Bradey-" Riley forced his words out. "I-In...c-c-cave...." Derricks spotted an opening, he used his own bow to break the branch Augustus was on. With Augustus collapsing , derricks rushed over then bear locked him. "You speak madness.. we see something different." Grayson snapped out of it for a moment. "R-Rowlin and Lacklan they did tell you to come for us from camp, yes?!" His voice held adrenalin. "Please tell me they aren't dead!" Ungus nodded, "jakup fell down the ravine by Brodey! Then Drew and Vidal got trapped in a cave. We were sent the other two to find your guys when we were assaulted." Derricks raised a brow, "you sent them back to xamp?" He looked around. "Well maybe we missed them-" he held concern. Jakup blinked seeing Celestia. "L-Lacklan went for help?" He held relief in his expression. He then pointed, "Brodey... Brodey is the traitor.." His hand pointed over to the body up ahead. "He killed Nichalas... and tried to kill Lacklan for finding the body." He coughed some more. "I-I used my whip to grip to something-it hit me against the dagger but it let me till the rest of the way down." He took steady breaths. "Well-" Vidal shrugged. "Brodey sure is dead..." "But he reeks of death and something else" drew sniffed again. "Its not a pleasant smell. Poison? ..." "Probably.." Vidal looked towards the blocked entrance. "Just hope Lacklan is okay, and our horses-" he gasped as Drew pushed him back. "What?!" "H-He's poisoned, and reeks of illness!" Drew backed him farther away. "Oh dear.." Vidal muttered stopping by tje rock wall. "We really are going to die." "Slowly..." drew spat to the side. "I-I think we're good." Rowlin inspected the clearing cautiously. It was very dark despite it being day out. The snow covered clearing DoD not assist much with slight mist filling within the thicker side. "Let's head back-" "S-Say Rowlin... what are your thoughts on cheating death?" Lacklan asked out of nowhere. Rowlin blinked as he walked into the open clearing. "I-I don't think such a thing is possible." He crossed his arms. "Maybe of we sold our souls, or sanity..then it might be possible." "Perhaps..But would you do that? I-if you were given the chance?" Lacklan approached calmly. Rowlin gazed up, "well-" he took in a deep breath then shook his head. "I wouldn't. If my time comes, then I would be alright with that. I enjoyed my days and that is that." He turned to find a fire ignited whip tied against leg. "You were supposed to say, I do!" Lacklan thrusters Rowlin across the clearing. Rowlin scraped across the next clearing. "There is no way you should be alive!" Lacklan dragged his first whip behind him. "That night I was there, and I was certain that I committed victory in the ranks with killing royalty." He bent forward then leaned down to whisper in Rowlin's ear,"I killed you Vincent-" leaning back he kicked Rowlin again. "I finished you off, the tactician who's face was never seen! And yet here you are alive and well. Pft-rotten vampires-" he hissed. "But nothing a little burn won't fix" "They will find-" Rowlin jumped to his feet then started backing away. "Find us?" Lacklan laughed. "The forest feels of death and blood. Poison, malaria, and fever that makes every one who is dead, or being killed as we speak; take my hit. In my place!" He slammed the ground then shot his whip out again. Rowlin took cover behind a tree. "Oh Vincent, not so very strong are we?" Lacklan raised a brow. "But that's alright-when the princess visits all the blood trails, finds the corpses, and makes her way here. You will be dead, and I'll make sure you won't rise again." He spoke in a foreign native tongue to summon a basalisk engulfed in fire. "Drew, and Vidal will die to poison or survive to die later to malaria. And With a bit of magic the fever is at the point where reason blurs instinct. the princess will subcome to the monster within her, kill her soldiers whom attacked the others, then weep at the end of the day on regret." Rowlin climbed the tree, with the fire basalisk tailing behind him. "Fear not, who ever survives will die to the disease and the more blood spilled the faster and deadly the disease becomes!" "I'm not Vincent!" Rowlin called out. "I see beyond the illusion, you have casted on every one!" Lacklan screamed.

He's not the enemy! Listen to his heart, he speaks true. Aika's eyes widened: no guilt, no shame, just a solider trying to carry out a mission, her mission. Quickly the blade disappeared, her hand and arm glowing a bright gold hue as she pressed it into his chest as she fought back tears. Taking in a deep breath, she cleared her senses just enough to hear the hearts around her. Increased beats...confusion at best. "W-We've all been tricked." She muttered as she continued to heal Riley's wound. "Derrick, he doesn't have the mark. If he did it would have reacted just now." She called over her shoulder as she propped Riley off the snow and onto her lap as she lightly pressed her other hand into the back of the wound. "Who showed you the evidence?" She questioned towards Augustus. Auransky(I'll post Celestia's post separately ^^ )

mintedstar/fur🦇 Rowlin leaned forward to find himself laughing at the thought. "Despite that, I just couldn't help it. I stopped by on my day before flying back, and had a stack. It was good, and while I now know what it is; i just cannot disagree on it's tasty goodness." He waved a hand leaning forward, "While it is best to not ask, sometime we cannot help it. The fact of not knowing is what kills us most!" He shook his head at the thought. "But sometimes it may be better to now know; in other cases knowing first might save you." He fell back into his chair. "If you go out to Germany and into one of the most remote villages do not take on their traditional mumbo jumbo! Just say no, and let them give you that look of shame; because it's not worth being coated in animal feces to be welcomed by the land." He crossed his arms then gazed up. "Let's see..." He wondered. "I've been in and out of the country so many times; that stories just come and go; it's a great feeling to see the world, and mostly unforgettable."

"Lacklan? No, Jakup, I sought you myself." She looked over at the corpse and back towards Jakup. "I'm getting you out of here. This isn't right. We'll retrieve his body later but right now everyone's lives, including the princesses, are in danger." Carefully, she pulled Jakup into her arms, making sure not to touch any of his wounds. Muttering the spell to return, she felt her body become light as a feather before returning to her stead, which she had kept a ways away from the ravine. "There were two other people out here gathering herbs, so you know where they went?" She asked as she placed him onto her stead. Listening for him to answer, she traced another glyph into her wrist, this time the same snow flower but this time it was red. Please see it this time. She thought as she whispered a bit louder Derricks name. Auransky

Nariko tapped her chin as she listened. "Good to know she's helpful. But still, she's been on the team for two years right? Why hasn't James invited her over?" Secretly, she really wanted to meet her. She had read a few old reports from when she first joined that she had shucked out of James' office, and the work she did was insane. Thousands of back ground checks per case as well as cross examinations of cases that most agents did bother to read up on. "Actually there isn't much to do. I already asked Doctor Mori to email me a list of blood magic effects, which I'll probably get tomorrow. I'm just waiting on that and Naomi's findings at that's it." She lightly shrugged as she glanced at the clock. Its not even one yet and there's nothing to do... Rosestar

featherlegRiley was nearly on the line; he wanted to gasp out breath, but couldn't do so. The pain was so bare; but he felt most comfort, or at least it appeared. Augustine blinked, as Derrick helped him up. "L-Lacklan asked us to restock supplies. We went through the cabins, and found some evidence in the cabin's of Grayson, and Ungus." He replied back, with a shiver crawling down his spine. But that shiver was warmth, he felt very hot. "D-Does anyone....e-else feel so?" He collapsed to his knees coughing out blood. "I-It's rather hot is it not?" Grayson blinked, "F-Fooled?" Ungus looked around , "But are the others okay? Drew and Vidal were collapsed in according to Lacklan.... and where did Rowlin and Lacklan go.." He questioned. Derick had backed away earlier when he could have sworn to have herd his name being called out. He walked over to his horse which was in the next clearing. "C-Celestia?" He asked taking a look at his wrist still baffled by this magic, but intrigued all the same."C-Celestia?" He repeated raising a brow. He wasn't so sure how this was working, but surely this was it right? Jakup blinked, "O-Oh then I take it B-Brodey harmed or-derailed Lacklan." His voice held concern. The magic she used caught him truly off guard, he was silent of both pain, and shock as to what was happening. The question at hand returned him to reality. "O-Others?" He tilted his head. "I-I don't know.." He shook his head. "I-I saw Derrick directly, he mentioned nothing of herb gatherers." He stated in confusion. Rowlin had made it to the top of the tree, the basilisk of flames slithering behind him. He continued his way along the branches extending out. This was scrutiny at its finest. "I-I'm not Vincent!" He called out again. "Oh like I care your words, Vincent!" Lacklan screamed once more. "Fall to your death, or be engulfed by the flames up there" He snapped his fingers to ignite the clearing he stood in; into flames. "I kid; fall into flames, or be engulfed by flames! You will fall again, and stay down permentaly." His eyes were madness yellow, with blood veins popping out. "Wish wish, but I will get you!" He spat out blood himself.

He's mentioned it for sure, like making the team dinner and whatever," she snorted at that notion. Though she knew James was a great cook and she would do the same thing for her own friends in a heartbeat, sometimes it was just easier to tease him. "I can't imagine what's stopping them. Not like my parents would have any complaints about it." On the contrary, they weren't sure if James had any other friends outside of Dalton at this point. Another thing for Lily to giggle over. James hummed in response, draining the last of his coffee. "Figures." he said. It's quiet without Dalton. It had been, in the other days he had to stay home, but even so, actually seeing him make the mad dash to the office, still probably high on a fever, was enough to make the already sullen space feel a little more grim.
