- Bad Kid, Good Soul -
Jace Winters is the resident bad boy at Deer Creek Preparatory School. Everyone regards him as a force to be reckoned with and no one has dared to challenge his persona as the ever-reigning loner at the bottom of the food chain. But when Ruby Williams transfers schools halfway through the first semester, she feels as if she is able to see right through the mask that guards Winters from the real world. So when Ruby begins to challenge Winter's exterior when she learn just how few crimes Winter has committed, chaos ensues. The social hierarchy of Deer Creek Prep is turned upside down due to their brawl. But will Winters and Ruby be able to come to a decision that allows all students at the school to thrive? What will become of their relationship?
Muse A: Jace Andrew Winters (Aka Winter)
Standing at 5'7" and with a skinny body structure, Winter doesn't look like the most intimidating figure. Long black hair that reaches the base of his neck sits upon his head. The front bangs bleached and and dyed white. With his dark green eyes, and dark clothing, his skin appears paler than it actually was. In his right ear is a small metal stud in his lobe. He more or less just looked like your average scene kid. Winter isn't the most social person. He sticks to himself and hardly ever talks to anyone unless it's for a good reason. Because of this, he uses it to his advantage. With no one who really knows him, Winter is able to build up his own reputation however he sees fit, thus making it easier for others to keep their distance. He gives little care for those in authority, and on the rare chances he actually does what he's told, he always manages to find a loophole so the end result is never what was expected of him. Despite all of this, Winter is incredible in school. He might pay little attention to the teachers and skip classes more than he attends them, yet somehow he always manages to turn in his homework on time and always makes good grades. It confuses the teachers, but because of his attitude, no one ever really wants to talk with him about it.
Muse B: Ruby G. Williams
Ruby is sure her parents gave her the right name; this is not because she has bright red hair, but because red is a color - a symbol - that seems to follow her around wherever she goes. Scarlet is her all-time favorite color, after all. She barely reaches 5'5 when she stands, and has an affinity for wearing comfy sweaters and short skirts. Her stick-straight golden-blonde hair reaches the middle of her chest and is constantly a mess - she has the habit of playing with it when she's bored or nervous. She is particularly grumpy in the mornings and is quite the klutz, but she is smart - her teachers appreciate her curious nature - and prefers to keep her head down rather than make a scene. Her hobbies include dancing - she trains at a ballet academy afterschool - and reading. She particularly enjoys young adult novels (she is one, after all). Ruby maybe be an overall average beauty and average student, but her curiosity and passion for the things she loves make her stand out above the rest.
