Sebastian Frost - "I know you're trying to embarrass me." "Alright, alright. I admitted it already, you don't have to shove it in my face even more." Sebastian moved his hands up in front of his chest. She really loved to push his buttons, and she knew it too. The funny thing about this whole thing was he had never planned to be this close to the ocean. It just worked out in his favor. He needed some luck after everything that happened these past few days.
"Well, you did say I was right. That's flattering enough to me." The boy's lips spread into a wide grin, as if to tease her. "And I like to push the line. Mostly cause I know you hate it." His eyes widened at the thought of marrying or being in love with her, waving his hands in front of his face. "No, no! It's not like that!!!!! I never said I was in love with you! It's just, um..." He trailed off, not finishing his sentence. He pressed his cold hands to his warm face, not sure how to respond to something like that. Maybe...he was feeling a sort of attraction to her? Honestly, he didn't know himself. Now that she mentioned fantasizing about it, he couldn't help it. Oh God, why did she have to mention that? Then he just had to look up, seeing the back of her as she changed her shirt. It was quick, but he was flustered. She had done it now.
"Me grabbing your hand isn't a big deal! I was just caught up in the moment...yeah. And for your information, I wouldn't have left you there. That would be a certain death. I wouldn't even wish that for my worst enemy." He removed his hands from his face, huffing and fixating his gaze on the floor, as if staring at something interesting.
When she pinched his cheek, he rolled his eyes at her, moving his hand up to grab her wrist. He couldn't look away to hide his embarrassment, so he decided to get even. Sebastian smiled at her, while his hands started growing deathly cold. He began to form a layer of ice over her skin, his smile not faltering. It was almost an evil look, one could say.
"That's for calling me Jack Frost, pinching my cheek, and making all those comments about me loving you. You sure you aren't an old lady? Because an old lady would totally do those things." Only if she let go would he melt the ice. Otherwise, his grip was firm on her wrist, letting the ice take over. He made sure that it wasn't dangerous to her, of course. Freezing one's body could lead to frostbite, or even stop the blood flow. Yeah, he could freeze people from the inside too. But the boy stayed away from that kind of thing, holding back on her. This was just a friendly tease, from rival to rival.
When she did let go, he moved his hand up to caress her face. Putting on his most charming face, he responded with a simple "I do love you, Faith Wolfe." before lying back down and shutting his eyes, resting them for a minute. It was a joke as usual, saying it in a somewhat mocking tone that she always did to him. But this time, a small part of him was actually serious. Though it was really hard to tell.
"Glad you're looking ok after all. I was almost worried there, for a second. Now go on, get some rest. You seemed like you had a rough night. I'll be awake, listening for anything suspicious." Again, he refused to go to sleep. This time he had a legitimate reason, making sure they weren't being followed or anything. The first time had been a very close call. If she hadn't noticed it, they wouldn't be here right now. To make it worse, his anxiety was already high. So staying awake was no problem.
{I was only thinking like one more character for each of us, yeah. Nothing too hard to manage. And yeah! They should totally get experimented on! Oooohhhh, enhancing their powers sounds awesome too!!!!!! Maybe after this we can timeskip to when their wounds heal and they start walking to another city. Maybe instead of the typical chase scene, they walk into a trap or something. And maybe there's some angst where one of them 'takes the bullet' for the other, and the other person tries to drag them to safety but they both end up getting caught that way? Lol it sounds cool to be but I can't explain it very well.}

"Caught up in the moment, huh? You seem to get that a lot. For someone who doesn't care... Quite odd, isn't it?" She let out a laugh, which only grew as she saw the embarrassment on his face, marked loud and clear. "Aww. Lil' ol' Frosty is all warm!" Her laughter had lessened by now, only a mere giggle, her free hand rising to cover it up, stifling it, not wanting to raise any suspicions.
"H-hey!" She yelped, stiffening as she felt the cold spread over her soft skin, but she didn't try to pull back, not until she absolutely had to. Her skin was a light pink color now, thanks to the cold, but her face only grew warm and her cheeks turned a rosy color when his chilly, calloused hand met with her cheek. She was pouting, a frown on her face, despite the obvious blush that had crept up over her. And gently, she let her face nuzzle into it, until he had pulled it away and turned to lay down. Then, she scoffed.
"How funny." She had lowly snorted, giving him a mocking tone, just as he had when he told her he loved her. "Bravo. For playing me such a trick. I hope you're proud of that, icebag."
To be honest, Faith fought the urge to inch herself closer to her acquaintance (sometimes she made the mistake of calling him her friend), not for warmth, because he was anything but warm right now, but more so to comfort herself. He wouldn't mind, right? He had grabbed her hand while on the run, and he didn't seem to want to let go, and claimed it was just merely 'in the moment.' So, she decided to take her chances, turning to face him before plopping down right next to him, one arm over his chest as she buried her face in his shoulder.
She hoped that it wouldn't send any odd messages across, all she really wanted was someone to give her the comfort she sought for all this time. It was only them two, and it always had been.
"Goodnight." Her voice was muffled, but she let out a low yawn as she felt sleepier and sleepier with the passing time. Eventually, the water-bender was sound asleep, pressed close and not shifting. It was as if she was relaxed now, not like the previous nights they had, and was finally at ease despite the fact that they were being hunted down.
But she was glad for their moment of silence, and found comfort within it.
(i think that's doable i guess haha! yes... i live for angst adn drama and action... so i think that'd be perfect ; 3 we should timeskip now, then? maybe a day or two, and while they go out to do something maybe thats when the chase begins? where one of our characters takes a bullet for the other... idk if you want faith to take it or sebastian but ill leave it up to you lmao its ok ha i have the same.. i struggle to explain BUT i get ya!!!))

Sebastian Frost - "I wanna run away, anywhere out this place." His eyes fluttered open as he addressed her. "Well, maybe I do care now." Sebastian said this in a low, sincere voice. "You're the only one I have, and I know it's the same way for you. So it's not like I can help buy worry." He stared her in the eyes, folding his arms over his chest.
"Shut up." He scoffed, shaking his head. She knew how to play her words right, making him annoyed at her comment about how he, Frosty, was warm from embarrassment. Even he didn't have a sarcastic comment to reply to that.
Sebastian let the ice melt back to water, dripping off of her skin. Before he had pulled away to lay down, he had noticed that little detail of how she nuzzled into her hand. It was actually kind of cute. It made her seem friendly, unlike her sarcastic comments suggested. But either way, he still liked her. He just didn't want to admit it in a serious way yet.
"Says the one who started it. And don't even start with icebag." Technically it was him, when he called her princess and everything. But she had said previously that he was falling for the Faith Wolfe, so they were on even terms. Or just about even terms.
Sebastian gave her a surprised look and tensed up when she leaned against his larger body, also resting an arm over his chest. But instead of moving away, he embraced it, letting his body relax into her. The smaller girl was warm, and he enjoyed every second of it. He could only hope she didn't notice that his heart was racing. He had never really been this close to someone before.
"Goodnight, Faith." He yawned after she did, but remained awake, staring at the ceiling. He kept glancing over at her from time to time as she slept, however. She looked rather peaceful, and at least now she wasn't able to call him names. Unless she muttered it in her sleep, of course.
-
Two days later, Sebastian suggested that they finally move out of the city. The day before had been to catch up on sleep, eat a proper meal, and heal. But today he decided that they should probably move on and leave this trashy, gang-ridden city behind. He certainly wasn't going to miss this place. Also, the thought of heading somewhere he hadn't been before was thrilling.
Sebastian seemed well-rested on this new day, with lots of energy to spare. He was ready to fight if he had to, able to hold his own this time around without needing help.
He could hear outside that it was drizzling slightly, which wasn't too fun for him. But she probably enjoyed it. After all, she was about to be surrounded by her element, water. And he knew she would find a way to annoy him with it one way or another.
"Ready to head out?" The ice bender asked, offering her his hand in case she wanted to hold it.
{I honestly can't decide who should take a bullet for who either haha.}

When she had woken up those few days later, her eyes settled on Frost, nodding in agreement. It was probably best that they finally take their leave, knowing that staying in the city would probably lead to certain capture. Of course, she didn't want that, and she was sure that her partner wouldn't want that either -- being taken into custody would mean that they would probably be messed with, experimented on for who knows how long, and that didn't sound like fun. Not at all.
"Yeah." Faith lightly took his hand, although she was a little hesitant, unsure of why he had offered it to begin with. It's not like she minded, though, it was nice to be able to be close to someone without being weird about it. It was cold and calloused, while her own hand was smaller, had softer skin, and was almost scar-free. Their height difference was also highly noticeable, her head barely reached his shoulder. She didn't mind his hand, though, nor the contact they had been sharing in those past few days; it provided some sort of comfort and security when she felt, well, afraid. She wasn't used to being on the run for so long. Usually, she would have just ran and hid somewhere, anywhere.
It was cold today, and she was glad she had her cardigan to provide some sort of warmth. Her steps were smaller than his, too, she lagged behind him just slightly, but still managed to match his pace. The wounds she had been suffering from the few days before had been all but a memory by now. Being so close to water had really affected the speed at which she was healing. When she had checked on how the wounds were doing, they were fully closed, no longer needing a bandage, and left a light pink scar on her skin. It was just one mark out of the many others she had on her body.
It was relatively peaceful as they walked -- the air still stank of seawater, the boats nearby honked and screeched as the exited and entered the port, and people could faintly be heard talking, probably making business deals as citizens entered their little shops. The sky, it was somewhat gloomy, but it explained why it was so cold. Perhaps it would snow soon? It was already rainy, the small droplets hit her skin, and she didn't quite mind it. If anything, it would only help whatever injuries were left in her heal even quicker and smoother. Again, she felt relief. She felt good as new.
Her fingers lightly moved to lace themselves with his, almost subconsciously, and she kept herself as close as she could to the boy.
"It's really cold out," She said, her free hand moving to pull her cardigan closer against herself. The source of the cold wasn't him however, it was actually their environment this time. "I could literally--"
Her sentence was cut off by a loud, screeching noise from a car, and as she turned her head to look, her eyes met with the red and blue from the police cruiser's lights. Her sapphire eyes widened, and she gave his arm a light tug, muttering a few curses under her breath before she had begun to run. She knew that once one of them found the two elemental users, they were as good as dead. They'd be goners.
The girl knew that the two wouldn't be able to outrun them, however, and so she made a sharp turn at some alleyway. Unknowingly, the two or three police cars kept driving down the street.
"What do we do now? T-the next city is across the lake." She spoke in between choppy breaths. She knew they called it the ocean, but it only seemed so, it was actually a fairly large body of water. It also reeked like one.
"We're so done for, icebag!"
( LMAO maybe these guys chasing them can lead them into the trap? perhaps they assume that theyll try to escape to another city and they have a whole buncha officers waiting for them. as for who gets shot, i dont mind letting faith do that? since then theyll "have a chance to survive" bc he can carry her. and since he still has his wounds and all it wouldnt be too life threatening idk heh)

Sebastian Frost - "Slay me, my Queen." Sebastian wanted the comfort of holding someone's hand, so that's one of the reasons why he had offered his hand. Also, it would be slightly less suspicious if they looked like a couple. But he didn't tell her anything. Also, this was practically nothing compared to when she decided to lay against him. The boy slowed his pace down a bit to match with hers, and he swung their hands back and forth in a rhythm as they walked, but didn't seem to notice.
The salty smell still hung in the air, but he was used to it by now. The thing that did bothered him however was the rain. He didn't mind watching the rain from indoors, but now he had to walk through it. And that required getting wet, with an extra little bit of cold as a bonus. And Sebastian did not need to experience more cold.
"Heh, you don't have to tell me that." The boy was shaking slightly, soaked to the bone. But he let out a small chuckle anyway. The loud screeching of tires as it stopped just behind them caused the criminal to panic, seeing the red and blue lights flashing against the buildings.
Sebastian was ready to fight, but Faith had tugged on his arm lightly, turning to run. He ran after her, not wanting to be alone. Taking turn after turn, they finally came to a halt. He turned to her, quickly trying to piece together a plan.
"It'll be alright." He reassured her, grumbling to himself as he tried to imagine every possible situation is his mind.
"There's a bridge not too far from here. And there's a lower part to it, where people are able to walk. If we manage to make it across, then we'll be safe. Plus there's water underneath the bridge, and if we need to, we can always jump or have you use your powers. Sound good?" It was the only plan he could manage. It was somewhat risky, but luckily the cars weren't able to go down there, as it only allowed people to walk. Before he waited for her to answer, he took off once more, leading her to the bridge. It was a risk they had to take. They just couldn't stay in this city any longer. At least this time, she was completely healed and he was feeling a lot better than before. They both had full access to their powers, so it would be an easy victory, or so he thought.
The thing that bothered him was how they managed to find them yet again. It was like they were being tracked down. Plus it was hard to see in this drizzle, and they were even holding hands. So why?
After a long stretch of running and being chased by the same lone cop car, they found themselves under the bridge. The cop car wasn't able to follow them under there, and even if they decided to go on foot, they had to battle two elementals. The section underneath was free for people to walk so they weren't right next to the cars. Plus it provided some shade from the rain. Shaking his head and letting the droplets fly off, he gave her a thumbs up.
"Everything's going as planned, thanks to the one and only icebag. Now let's go, my Queen." He made a small effort to bow for her, before stuffing one hand in his pocket and walking under the bridge, staring down at the water from the little windows.
{Yesssssss I love it. And yeah, I like the idea of Faith can get shot then Sebastian can try and carry her, before he gets tased or shot with a tranquilizer or something lol.}

"As usual, she wasn't the best at fleeing on foot. Usually she'd come up with some insane plan, maybe using the water from the ocean to carry her to safety, or to construct wings, and even flood the streets momentarily to get them to go away. But on foot? It was a total mission, but she managed to run to the bridge with the boy. She was breathing heavily, hunched over just slightly with her hands at her knees, then laughing when she saw him bow. Her eyebrow raised slightly, and she gave a low grin, continuing to walk alongside him.
"Queen." She chuckled, "See, that's a pretty big upgrade from princess. Don't tell me I'm moving up your social ladder, icebucket. Am I really that important to receive such a title, from you, of all people?" She gave a moment of silence, as if her question was a rhetorical one, now holding up her pointer finger, "Of course I am! Because little icebucket over here has a little crush for the Faith Wolfe. Hmm.. But what if I gave him a kiss on the cheek? To reward him for bowing for his Queen? I'm glad my authority is appreciated somewhere. Maybe his ice would melt into a puddle."
She gave a smirk, which slowly transformed into a grin as she gave a subtle wink, hands in the pockets of her cardigan as she picked up her pace. She was walking ahead of him, her steps sure and steady, walking with what seemed like purpose. Even if they were being chased down, she always managed to find the time to make fun of him, or poke fun at the blush and embarrassment he had displayed those two days ago on the cot. The mere image of his face wouldn't leave her mind for who knows how long, and it proved to be essential whenever she would tease him about it. It was fun, too, and she didn't intend on stopping it anytime soon. Not even if he grabbed the collar of her shirt like he almost did the day he got shot, nor if he let his ice creep over her skin. She was hardheaded, and by now, Faith was sure that her little friend here was certain of such.
They were reaching the end of the bridge by now, and she hesitated before turning her head back towards the boy, glancing at him and clicking her tongue as her gaze shifted onto the water.
"So, we need to get across, don't we?" The girl spoke, then stepped towards the water's edge, looking down at it, hands still in her pocket. The opposite side wasn't all too far, maybe a mile or two, and if they managed to get some kind of boat across, it would be way easier. But, she could easily part it, allowing for a quick walk along the lakebed, or they could resort to simply walking along the shore to get to safety.
"I can part the water, or we can get a boat... Or if you're feeling lucky, we can walk around this whole lake. Which might take a while, but I think it's doable." Faith was facing him now, the breeze blowing through her auburn hair, "So what's the plan now?"
(sounds good then! and omg, im sorry this took a while x_____x i finally got to see baby driver and agbkjwbgkwnw i wasn't disappointed... and also sorry this is kinda short aha ADDITIONALLY that last post from yesterday -- the title thing are those galantis lyrics ))

Sebastian Frost - "How do you drive this stupid thing?" Sebastian tried to hide his heavy breathing, trying to make it seem like running was't a big deal.
"I have to up my nickname game, since you are too." The criminal smiled at her, looking quite handsome for once, or at least he thought.
He stiffened up as she spoke the words 'kiss on the cheek'. He quickly turned his face away from her, crossing his arms over his chest with a little grumble, as if he was trying to keep his cool. But it failed miserably, as he was actually just a big wad of embarrassment, his entire face burning up. Turning back to see her wink, he chuckled, following behind her.
"Trying to take advantage of me as usual, I see. I'll find a way to get you back, I promise." The ice bender spoke, admiring her as he watched her walk in front of him.
"Yep! We have to cross this freaking ocean or lake or whatever." He made his way to stand beside her, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he stared down at the water.
"I don't think either of us can drive a boat...but we don't wanna cause a scene or cause you to overuse your power. Let's just go with option A, getting a boat. I guess it won't be that hard...right?" He shrugged, pulling one hand out of his pocket to point at all the choices they had nearby. Hey, it was better than causing a huge scene. He could imagine it, someone taking a video of two people walking casually across the water, as it parted for them. People would be going ballistic if they ever saw something like that in their pathetic, boring lives.
Sebastian started making his way over to one of the boats, glancing back to see if she was following. Eventually he hopped on it, turning back to help her up. Despite there being no key, he got on the ground, working his magic. He messed with the inner workings of the boat, eventually causing it to start up.
"Don't ask how I'm able to hot-wire things." He just happened to pick up the skill one day, knowing it would eventually come in handy for something. Though he had never expected it to come into play at a time like this. Maybe it would even impress her? That is, if she was into that kind of stuff. Hot-wiring vehicles, that is.
The ride started off bumpy and rough, as he tried his best to steer the dumb boat. The waves weren't all that great either, as it was a rather windy day. So here they were, in the middle of this body of water, driving a boat. The rain was starting to let up a little, at least. He just hoped this would go a bit faster so they could make it to the other side quickly.
{Oh nice! It's funny, I always used to see an ad on YouTube for that movie. And no worries! Also yes, I was waiting to see if you would notice aha. After I noticed your signature there, I decided to find a way to sneak the lyrics in there. I've only heard two songs by Galantis though, Runaway and No Money. But they're really good! :3}
{Also one more thing, after they get off on the other side, then that's when the police should appear. Mostly because they'll be trapped, unable to get back by boat before the police can do something about it. Then Faith could take the bullet for him and all that fun stuff.}

The image of his burning face stayed in her mind, letting a grin spread over her lips again. As he began to hotwire the boat, she watched with a raised eyebrow, seemingly impressed. She was amused, mostly, and so her hand patted his back lightly. "There ya go, icebucket. What a good boy." She was teasing him now, her hand patting his head, almost like a dog. "C'mon now..." As soon as the boat's engine started, she pinched his cheek lightly, laughing now. Then, she leaned forward when he had begun to drive, landing a light peck to his cheek. She wasn't sure if she actually meant it, but she knew that it would definitely set something off; what she hoped for were those red cheeks she had seen minutes before and those few days ago. Maybe it was subtle flirting, but that didn't really strike her as something she would really do. So, she settled with claiming it was a way to bother and annoy him. "You're welcome, my king." She said, then turned to look ahead. They made it to the other side eventually, the boat stopping to a halt against some rather large boulders. She walked over to the edge of the boat, hopping over the railing onto the rocks, then walking for a bit until she reached the sidewalk. It was quiet, but she knew that they had to keep themselves on the move to escape the authorities. Turning back to face the boy, she let her sapphire eyes search his face before continuing on her way. - - - After a few hours of walking along the water's edge, they arrived at the heart of the city, and from there, relaxed a little. Of course, the feeling to safety and security died down as, from above, a helicopter had closed in on them.
Faith only cursed under her breath. She didn't exactly look back at him, but she gripped onto his hand again and had begun to run. That was the only thing she knew how to do at this point: run, as fast as she could, away from the helicopter that was following them. It was more like a game of cat chase mouse, with the two criminals being the mice, and eventually, the girl panicked, leading them both into an alleyway. She thought that it would have an exit, so she really only decided to trust the feeling in her gut, but she was wrong. Faith met with a brick wall after taking several turns, about the same height as the buildings that surrounded it.
From there, she knew that they were done for, but not without a fight. From the way they came in, officers had begun to pour in, a few two helicopters joining the one that had chased them into the trap.
The water-user had let her friend's hand go to shoot out some heavy stream of water, hitting some of the men back and to the floor, not necessarily killing them, but more so bruising them. She hoped that Sebastian would defend just as well, and she would glance over at him to make sure he was alright. From the last few hours they had spent together, she had grown closer to the boy, as well as learning to care for him, even if just a little bit. But, perhaps the "little bit" was a lie -- she knew that if the need called for it, she would risk her life. Not because she had taken a liking into him, but because it was in her nature to do so; she was able to heal remarkably fast while they were so close to a source of water, and she was sure that the boy was aware of that, so she often chose to take advantage of that aspect of her ability.
She managed to take them out for the meantime, and so the girl grabbed onto his hand and begun to run again. For some reason, she enjoyed taking his mess into her own hands, but again, that was likely her pride.
(( hehe, i had to look over again to notice.... but AHH i havent met anyone else that likes them before so jagbksegjes but you should listen to rich boy... its rly good and ok! i suppose from here, they could both continue running but then the cops swarm in on them and then she can take the bullet ))

Sebastian Frost - "Monster." Well, at least she seemed somewhat impressed, even if that meant patting him and calling him a good boy.
With an unamused sigh, he rolled his eyes. "I'm not a dog either. My name's Sebastian, get it right." His tone was laced with an annoyance. He opened his mouth to say something else but she had leaned over him, giving him a kiss on the cheek. It was very unexpected, but the boy tensed up again, his face steaming. He refused to look over at her, no matter what else she tried. Instead, he focused on the water in front of him, guiding the boat along the water.
"Ha, now King is something I can get used to." He grinned, obviously happy as this was a step up from her other nicknames.
He got off the boat when it came to a halt. rocking calmly with the waves. Making his way over to the sidewalk, he took the view of this new city in. It seemed way nicer than the old city, which he was glad. He stepped onto the sidewalk to the right of her, his clothes flowing with the breeze that the shore created.
-
Just his luck. A helicopter flew overhead, keeping a close watch on them. He clicked his tongue, clearly annoyed by the police who were seemingly everywhere. It was almost as if they never took a freaking break. But as Faith dragged him along, he followed. Sebastian was about to fight once more, dying to get his revenge on the police for causing them so much trouble. But she was right to stop him from fighting, as that would bring unnecessary attention and give away their exact location.
As they hit the dead end, the criminal panicked slightly. But the thrill of battle had awakened in him, and he let an evil smirk spread across his face, shooting bullets of ice towards the police.
"Ha, they're no match for the Ultimate Duo!" He was full of adrenaline once more, letting his powers take over and give him a boost of energy as they ran away from the dead end, no longer cornered. This time it was Sebastian who laced his fingers with hers, King and Queen running together along the streets.
The police were one step ahead of them, however. They knew this city inside and out, after all. Also, they had a helicopter on their side, watching their every move. They ran along a side road, no longer able to stick to the alleyways with its dead ends. Sebastian could hear sirens coming from behind, and right as they were about to turn onto another street, some squad cars pulled right in front of them. Both were blocking the roads, and there seemed to be no more alleyways they could turn to, unless they wanted to hit another dead end.
This time, they were really in for it.
With three cars in the back and three in the front of them, along with not one but two helicopters overhead, this was it. The final battle before they were captured and taken God knows where. After all, there was only so much they could do with their powers. They were outnumbered immensely, and Sebastian quickly slowed down to a stop, letting his hand fall to his side. Without hesitation, he began to unleash his powers, creating huge ice spikes and flinging them at the police.
After he stopped creating projectiles, he motioned his hands upward forcefully which sent ice emerging from the ground underneath the cop cars. It had completely obliterated their cars as it pierced through them, causing him to laugh uncontrollably, a hand covering his face. The feeling of revenge before he would be taken was far more satisfying than anything he had done before. He was completely out of it now, finally snapping after being chased about a million times. This time, the criminal showed mercy, not caring if the police had still been in the vehicle.
The boy was a total beast now, as sometimes he couldn't help it as his powers took over, going out of control in extreme situations like this. He was again really desperate to get out of this situation, despite knowing he wouldn't. This was how he earned the nickname monster by everyone else, and exactly the reason why he hated himself.
A gunshot went off from the front, aiming directly for one of the vital spots in his chest. It was certainly not going to end well for him, as he didn't have time to react. He was frozen in fear, moving his hands up in a futile attempt to try and protect himself.
{I added him losing control as a little extra something to spice it up. And ok! I'l totally listen to Rich Boy! ;3}

She watched Sebastian as he fought, her eyes wide, but she didn't try to one-up him, nor try too hard to keep them at bay. Like she had done for him, he was now unleashing whatever he had at them, and she didn't truly try to stop him. If anything, she only made whatever he was doing even worse, enhancing his attacks towards the officers. She almost felt the desperation pouring out of him, and for some reason, she felt bad -- not just towards her comrade, but also towards the cops. They were just doing their jobs and here they were, being slaughtered mercilessly at the hands of Sebastian and Faith.
For a brief moment, she felt ashamed. She had taken part in all the killing as of late, but it was all for a good cause. Or, rather, what seemed like a good cause in her eyes: they were fighting for survival, just as anyone would. Why would they want to be stuck in a cell? Most importantly, why would they want to be experimented on? Government officials had a bad habit of messing with things they didn't understand, it had been done in the past, and always led to disaster. This was no different.
Faith's eyes shifted from car to car, now pierced thoroughly with a giant ice spike, and she winced, imagining how painful having that through someone must have been. For once, she was glad that the two criminals had developed some kind of bond between each other, a strong one at that. Or really, that was what she hoped.
However, near the front, she saw that a cop had exited a car that had been pierced, dropping the few three feet into the floor, pulling out a gun. He was injured, covered in blood that most likely came from his partner's blood splattering everywhere. As the shot was fired, Faith let her instincts take over. That, or maybe it was just her heart, but she didn't stop, not even if he had yelled at her not to.
"No!" Faith cried, eyes widening as she saw the bullet come nearer and nearer.
It had all slowed down; she felt as if she were in slow motion, her arms reaching to shove Sebastian out of the way as she ran forward, and, just in case he was still in the way of the bullet, she let herself run into it. The mere impact of the metal entering her body sent her back a few inches, a gasp escaping her lips before she turned to glance at him, almost as if making sure if the ice elemental was safe. Relief settled within her before she collapsed onto the asphalt, now feeling the pain from the bullet, which was lodged in her chest. She wasn't sure if it struck her heart, but then again, she would probably be dead if it did, but she did feel the blood oozing out of it at an alarming rate.
Her eyes were still barely open, but she saw the crimson pool around her, feeling some scratches on her head from the impact against the ground. Weakly, the girl moved her arms to prop herself up, arms shaking as she obviously struggled. She was definitely not in good shape, and her life was likely on the line.
In the background, she could hear some loud yelling and a few more rounds firing. She wasn't sure if they had aimed at her or him, but as soon as she felt another bullet enter through her leg and the same side from the last time, she was sure they had hit her. Again, relief settled before she felt the agonizing pain; it burned, spreading around the wound before it struck her whole entire body, it did not feel comfortable at all, but then again, why would a gun wound ever feel comfortable?
I'm so dead. I'm so dead. I'm so dead.
That was the only thing she could think and mutter under her breath, it was almost as if she was reassuring herself that she was still alive and not, of course, dead. Her vision grew blurry, her cheek against the asphalt, and the usual bright, sapphire eyes she had were slowly dimming. It was as if she had begun to lose the usual sparkle within them. Dizziness struck, she felt disoriented, and most of all, frail. Weak. She felt nauseous. She felt sick, ill, faint.
I'm so dead.
(( hehe yes! it's really good :'3))

Sebastian Frost - "Stay with me, Faith!" Everything seemed to happen in slow motion for him as well. He was alerted by some movement from the corner of his eye, glancing over to watch as Faith ran towards him and the bullet. He didn't hear anything at that moment, as he was just too far in shock. He could feel his lips moving however, knowing he was saying something. Everything just seemed unreal at that moment, like this was truly the end.
"Faith, don't!" Was what he had said, but she was already in motion, shoving him out of the way. He could only stare in horror as the bullet hit her in the chest, sending her flying back a few feet. He too fell, his back and head slamming against the hard pavement. He struggled to stand up and hold his head, but his body just refused to move. It was as if he couldn't find the strength to make it over to her. He didn't want to believe what just happened.
This...this is just a nightmare, right?
After a few long seconds, he finally got up, scrambling to make it over to her. She got hit multiple times after that, and he could feel tears start to stream down his face. He could feel one bullet enter his hand, but he was otherwise unscathed, managing to create a huge ice wall which protected him from the others. As he created it however, the pressure from overusing his powers had caused him to cough blood, but that meant nothing to him. After a second he was forced to let it melt, the pressure being too much for him to handle.
He kneeled down next to Faith, his breathing panicked, heavy. Sebastian picked her up, bridal style like he had mentioned before, and mindful of her wounds. He then began to ran, towards the cars that he had destroyed previously. All he could think of was getting her to safety. That was it. He didn't care that his hand was burning or that his head was spinning wildly.
"Don't you dare die on me, ya hear?" His voice was stern, demanding. He said it as if it was going to help any. He just couldn't bear the thought of being without her. Not with everything they've been through. His tears were beginning to fall on her now, but he didn't care if she saw him like this. To him, she had top priority. She had saved him countless times before, and now it was his turn. Or so he thought.
Before he was able to make it past the line of destroyed cars, a bullet pierced him directly in the back, causing him to yell out in pain. The boy collapsed, lying down right next to Faith. Cops were running at them, shouting at them, and Sebastian turned to face his Queen for a quick second.
"I...I need you to stay awake, Faith. Please."
He stood up rather shakily, but one tranquilizer shot and he was down in an instant. Before he blacked out, he reached out and grabbed her hand, a last effort to make sure she was still awake and alive.
Once Sebastian was out cold, the cops had grabbed the two, putting them in squad cars to be transferred to the government facilities.
-
Sometime later, after the tranquilizer wore off, Sebastian found himself in a cell. Sitting up in the small bed, he winced. He wasn't sure where he was, but he knew it wasn't somewhere he wanted to be. He glanced down at his bare chest, realizing they had taken it upon themselves to patch up the wounds. He knew they were in the hands of the government now, who only wanted to keep them alive to experiment on them. The government had also patched up his hand and head, which he was at least somewhat glad for. But it did leave a raging migraine, which he was not fond of.
He was reminded of how pitiful he was in his last few moments of consciousness before he woke up here, knocked out by a mere tranquilizer. He knew it couldn't be helped, as they were greatly outnumbered, but he punched the wall in anger, knuckles beginning to bleed.
Sebastian then thought of Faith, and a nautious feeling rose up in his chest. The last time he had seen her, she was struggling to keep her eyes open, practically bleeding to death right in front of him. He glanced around, hoping to God he would see her somewhere. He was dying to know if she was ok after all those wounds she obtained. But most of all, he was afraid of losing her.

She took a heavy breath in as he had picked her up, her eyes focusing on him for just a brief moment before they rolled back, her head falling against his shoulder. She couldn't think straight, either. As he ran, her body only grew weaker and her dizziness grew stronger, she wasn't sure where she was and the hand closest to him moved to grip onto his shirt, wrinkling it underneath her palms, just to make sure she was okay. It was more of reassurance. It also came to her that she often did things to reassure herself, to make sure it was all okay, and although she knew she was going to either pass out or end up dead soon, knowing he had been the one to carry her away sent some relief. She knew she could hear him, but whatever had been coming out of his mouth were just faded words to her; she couldn't process them or make any meaning out of them. It was just a mere noise. Then, she went practically limp -- it wasn't clear if she was dead or simply unconscious, and it was hard to tell, too, with all the blood dripping out of the multiple wounds she had taken for him. Him being shot as well and collapsing didn't make anything better, either. If anything, it had allowed for her wounds to worsen and her condition to simply grow more severe. Again, the crimson began to stain the road they were trying to escape through, pooling and running down the slight incline. Whatever happened next, she didn't even know. She had been out cold by the time Sebastian had been tranquilized. - - - She woke near the same cell Sebastian had been kept locked up in, her eyes open just barely as the sunlight entered the barred windows. She found herself on a white bed, an IV stuck into her arm and some other machinery recording information on things like her heart rate, blood pressure, and the like. She assumed that it was to monitor how she was doing after suffering the shots to her leg and side, as well as the one near her heart, which had almost cost her her life. They had also taken it upon themselves to change her clothes, leaving her old ones folded neatly by a table in the far corner of the room. The clothing they had given her were awful, but it was better than nothing.
Faith couldn't move. She assumed that because her wounds were still not healed, they were far from the lake. She was still in as bad of a condition as she was before, bandages placed over wherever her skin had been broken, stitches in places where it was just too difficult to let her body heal on its own. For that, she was at least grateful -- they had taken the mess they caused into their own hands. But she wanted to leave. She hated how small the room was and how there were tools placed neatly on the tables, it was almost as if they were going to strap her down and begin some crazy, horror-movie experiments on her. All she wanted was to see her icebag, and it almost seemed like her prayers were answered when a nurse stepped into her cell, locking the door behind her.
She was completely frail, she knew that if she fought back, she would be back at square one. She was also far too weak to be out on the streets again, not after what had happened, at least. For now, she assumed that her stay in the facility would be lengthy.
"I-I w-want to see Sebastian Frost," she said, her voice low and soft, as if she had fallen ill. But she wasn't, she was just so hurt and wounded that even her voice reflected it. "I need to s-see him. I want to make sure h-he's okay. Please, c-can you let him come see me?" Her eyes weren't the same vibrant color, her skin was awfully pale, her lips had lost their usual pink touch, and her hair seemed less bright. It was like she was a wilting flower, one without water. She seemed, well, different, but it was primarily because of the location and ignorance to the two elemental-users needs. "Please."
The nurse had only been recording what had been monitored by the machines, but as much as she had been trying to ignore Faith's pleads, she nodded. "I'll go get him, then." At that, she exited the room, letting it lock behind her.
They weren't too far from each other, but the nurse eventually made it to Sebastian's cell, to which she muttered lowly to the guards standing by, letting them know to take them to Faith Wolfe's room, numbered A128. At that, the guards complied, one unlocking the door to his cell before reaching to grab his arm. The man was muscled and burly, tough and tall, and if Sebastian would put up a fight, he wouldn't hesitate to fight back. Nor would the other man. They both seemed more like walking tanks than humans, for that matter.
"Faith Wolfe wanted me to get you," the nurse then said as they ushered the ice-user out of his cell, "She seemed worried."

Sebastian Frost - "If ANYONE lays a finger on her, I swear." Sebastian growled as the large, tough men grabbed his arm, but he was in no place to do anything else besides comply. He had absolutely no idea where he was being taken, imagining it was something horrible. Since they got a hold of him, a criminal with a record so blackened that he was never able to fix it, who knew what they were going to do with the likes of him? He guessed they were going to do something inhumane, as it wasn't like anyone had to know what went on behind government labs. For all the public knew, the two were safely locked away.
But at the mention of Faith Wolfe, he perked up. That meant...she was ok then, right?
"I swear, if any of you hurt her, I'll freeze you all! And this entire facility!" He threatened, earning him a nice hard shove from behind, wincing as they hit his wound. That threat was an empty one now, however. He was just eager to see Faith, and hear her tease him once more. It was a short walk, but they unlocked the cell, going in with him to keep an eye on him.
Once they let go, Sebastian quickly made his way to her bedside, glancing at all the things hooked up to her with wide eyes.
"You idiot...you sarcastic, adorable idiot. You have no idea how much you worried me!" He sat down on the edge of bed, sighing in relief.
"You shouldn't have taken the bullet for me. If anything, you should have ran. It's what I would've wanted." Sebastian stared at her, his blue-gray eyes relieved to see that she was ok, even if she was all hooked up to a bunch of machines.
"But at the same time, I'm sorry. I wasn't able to get too far. And now we're both in this heIIish place. Speaking of, they didn't hurt you, did they?" He added the last question in, sneaking a quick glare in at the guards. Sebastian unconsciously grabbed her frail hand in his. It was as if he was trying to make sure she was really ok after all of that. He could only hope she would recover soon. Wouldn't the government have some sort of technology that could heal things quicker?
A sigh escaped his lips yet again, but he really was glad she was ok. After all the time they recently spent together, it had been nice. Now he was just planning a grand escape from this stupid place, already wanting to get out before they even did anything. That was just the anxiety settling in, afraid of what was going to happen next.

"I couldn't just let you get hurt," she whispered, shaking her head almost wildly, letting him take her hand. The monitor's beeping only quickened its pace as her heart had begun to pound, almost as if she was struggling to breathe, but that was likely due to her emotions. She couldn't quite grip as tightly as she could before, she hardly felt her own muscles and she was numb beyond belief. "Y-you took, like, three shots the other day... So now we're even, right? I took some for you. You let me come with you when I first helped you out, I... I thought that night, you would just have left me for dead. I was just a nuisance to you, right? You didn't even want me around. I saw your face before we escaped the factory building, I..." Her voice cracked a little, looking away. It had occurred to her that, unlike him, she hadn't ever cried in front of him. This time, however, tears welled in her eyes, but she made as much effort as she could to turn her head. She wasn't very successful.
"If you wanted me to run... I probably wouldn't have." A small smile then graced her lips, "You know I'm stubborn and hardheaded, right? I wouldn't have left. If I told you that taking those bullets for you made me happy, would that be okay? I don't want you to feel what I'm feeling right now."
Her tone was sincere, soft and gentle despite her being so weak and frail. From the back of the room, the nurse then stepped in, whispering for the guards to stand outside instead. She approached the IV stand, and with a syringe, the woman injected something into the liquid. Faith wasn't even sure what they were monitoring, or what they were putting in her body while she was out cold. All that came from the nurse were low whispers to herself, mumbling letters and numbers strung together, as well as chemical names and information on the monitors.
"I-I don't think they've done anything, I mean... All I know is I had a few surgeries to get the bullets out and close my wounds, but that's about it." Her hand reached to shakily pull a part of her shirt collar down, revealing the stitches that were now over where her heart was and, some few hours ago, held the bullet. From the corner of her eye, she saw the nurse exit with the syringe and a clipboard. It was as if she was taught not to pay attention to the criminals that came into this part of the facility, seeming almost like the intensive care unit found in hospital buildings. The girl came to the conclusion that she was likely going to report her findings to whoever was the head of this place. "Also on my side and my leg... I overheard them talking that I might not be able to walk all too much for a few days, but... if there was water nearby, I'm sure I could."
She huffed, sniffling, her free hand shifting as she tried to sit up a little, although she failed. She had so many wires stuck to her pale skin, and along with the IV, a few other sharp objects stuck in to make sure she kept stable. It was a little too much for her, all the machinery and monitoring and chemicals they were using on her already weak body.
"I-I want you to stay with me." She said, "H-here, I mean. In the room. I don't want to be alone," the girl said lowly, now eyeing the far corner of the room, where neatly upon the table were tools that she wasn't sure what they were there for. From the moment she woke up, they had been placed neatly and kept clean, unsure of what their true purpose was, but not wanting to dwell on it for her own sake. "There's another bed over there," she motioned to one by the wall on the opposite side, "I don't want to be alone."

Sebastian Frost - "Man, I hate this place." It wasn't like there was anything he could do about it now, so Sebastian leaned back. He heard the beeping grow quicker and quicker, looking down to see that he had grabbed her hand.
"So, you do have feelings for me! That, or you aren't feeling good. I'll go with the first option." Sebastian smiled at her, tilting his head to the side slightly.
"And it's not a matter of being even." Sebastian chuckled lightly, tightening his grip on her ever so lightly to make sure he didn't hurt her. He listened to her, as her voice began to crack. Watching her eyes fill with tears was painful to watch, as she was always so cheerful. He hated seeing her sad like this, it didn't suit her.
"That was the past, and I was a fool. But now we're on better terms, so we should just forget about all of that." The boy's eyes drifted up a little to watch the monitor for a bit.
"I already knew you were stubborn and hardheaded. I would have just kept telling you to run, though. Because I'm pretty stubborn myself." The criminal smiled down at her, before checking out the room once more. With the white walls and the bars, it really did feel like a prison. But the tools and machines felt like it was a lab, and it game him a bad feeling. "Even if it makes you happy to be taking those bullets for me, I still wouldn't allow it. I just...I know how it feels to be in your place. But I didn't have fancy machines, or anything to help me heal. But even if I did have machines hooked up to me, it sure wouldn't make me happy."
Of course the boy didn't want to be in her position, but he'd rather it was him. Watching the nurse inject something into her caused him to stand up and grab her collar, demanding to know what it was. He loomed over the nurse, stopping her in her tracks before she was able to leave. The guards were outside now, so at least they wouldn't interfere, at least for a few seconds. Of course, he was just trying to help Faith out. If he was in her position, he wouldn't want stuff he didn't even know inside of him. But the criminal let go with a frustrated huff, deciding it was for the best. As long as she didn't seem hurt, than he was ok with it.
When she showed him the stitches, he made a disgusted face. He absolutely hated that kind of stuff, it made him squirm. That's why he always tried to avoid hospitals, even before he became a criminal. Maybe that's why this place just seemed really unsettling to him. It reminded him of a hospital setting, and he had this aching fear that they were planning to dissect him or something.
"I mean I could use my powers then immediately melt it, which would turn to water? I'm not exactly sure if that would help, but if you wanna try it. It wouldn't be nearly as helpful as the lake we were at." He had frowned upon hearing the bad news of how she might not be able to walk for a few days, and he had expected them to be able to fix that too.
"I promise I'll stay with you and keep you company. As long as they don't drag me out, that is." Sebastian chuckled quietly, moving his bandaged hand up to his bandaged head, which still ached pretty bad from when it hit the pavement. He didn't even move to the other bed, he just remained on hers. He could keep watch over monitors this way, which made him feel a little less worried.

"Well, telling me to continue running wouldn't stop me. You know that..." She sniffed before reaching to wipe whatever tear had managed to roll down her cheeks. "Sebastian!" Her voice raised when she saw the boy even reach to touch the woman, who seemed startled and ready to pull out a weapon from her back pocket, but she stopped when she was let go. "Don't. Please, don't start anything, I-I'm not in the best state and neither are you and, by God, I would hate seeing you injured too."
Besides being bed-ridden for who knows how long, she hated the fact that now, the tables had turned, and he could tease her and make her red-faced just as she did to him. It would be obvious too: the monitor's beeping would speed up and her heart rate would increase, even skyrocket if it was something that riled her up.
"F-feelings for you!" She stiffened and looked away. Perhaps that was just denial playing out, but at this point, maybe he was right for once. "The Faith Wolfe would never! Not for an icebag like you!" Her cheeks were red, or rather, a noticeable rosy color, spreading across her face and stood out against her usual pale skin. The monitor, of course, began to beep rapidly by now. Despite being in agonizing pain, she still managed to bring about the teasing and playful quality the two shared together; it helped her deal with the problem they had ahead of them and also helped her take her mind off the important matters. For the time being, at least.
"N-no... I'm sure the nurse understood and I doubt you'll be dragged out. It's like they're trained to ignore whoever has to stay here, which would make sense. They don't want criminals getting into their employees heads." She paused, "But she seemed to understand when I asked them to bring you here. I guess they think we're inseparable or something like that... which really, I'm not complaining about. I think she'll let you stay here."
At the sight of the boy touching his head, she frowned, sitting up slightly with her feet dangling over the edge of the bed. She was wearing a hospital gown, which resembled the oversized shirt Sebastian had given her, and as she sat up, she found herself turning back to untangle any wires that had gotten caught on the bedsheets and the pillows before lifting her arms to hesitantly touch his cheeks. Maybe he was right about her having caught feelings for him, because the monitor sure did say otherwise to her previous denial. That didn't bother her, however, and somewhere deep inside, the girl chose to accept that maybe, just maybe, there was some growing attraction towards the boy. Her hands kept on his cheeks, thumbs rubbing lightly underneath his eyes, and then her own gaze shifted to the bandage on his head, where he had gotten hut with the pavement. Lightly, she used whatever she had left to moisten her hand up and wash off any stain of blood from his skin, then wiping it down on her gown.
"I wish I could do something about that." She smiled lightly, although it seemed a little sad. "I caused that to happen to you, I'm sorry." Her smile faded, and she let her hands slowly pull away from him and back onto her lap. However, even if she did feel a little bit dizzy, she didn't want to move and lay back down, not while he was still there. She wanted to sit by him and, even if he was cold, it was comforting to be near someone who cared for her.

Sebastian Frost - "You didn't do anything wrong." Sebastian pressed his hand to his the right side of his head, where it hurt the most.
"I'm...sorry. I can't help it. I'm just a bit worried of what they're gonna do to us." The boy apologized to Faith, and Faith only. The nurse didn't answer his question of what she had injected into her, so he huffed rather loudly to try and get his point across, turning away from the nurse as she quickly headed out. He clicked his tongue, frustrated that even the nurses were armed. But they were criminals, so it was understandable. He had always been rather violent, which had caused it to become his first instinct.
"Heh, I'm already injured. And fine, I guess I'll try and restrain myself." He spoke rather unenthusiastically at the last part, lifting his free hand so his palm faced upwards, and shrugged. The boy let out a snicker as she tried denying her feelings for him. It wasn't really working out in her favor, though. A flood of relief came to him as she called him icebag, knowing that her normal self had returned.
"Getting into their heads, eh? Sounds like fun! Hey, it isn't exactly violence so it won't get me injured either." Sebastian let both hands down, and began rubbing them together nefariously.
"I mean at least they let me in here in the first place. I guess they aren't so bad...yet." He grumbled, almost under his breath, hating to admit that. Honestly, they were starting to get on his nerves. He hated basically everyone besides him and Faith. In the beginning, when they first met each other, he would have never thought it would end up like this, where she took a bullet for him and he ended up worrying about her. But he was glad it ended up how it did, besides all the police and government interference, of course.
He wasn't able to turn away as she touched his face, and he couldn't help it as his face began to heat up once more. He was easily flustered now, as she was really close to him, trying to wipe the blood off.
"It's fine, don't worry. I'll live. If you think this is bad, this is nothing compared to my back. My back hurts way worse, like someone is just stabbing me repeatedly. It probably looks that way too." He paused, turning his back towards her so she could see the blood seeping through the bandage, before facing the wall in front of him once more. "None if this is your fault. In fact, it's all my fault. I was the one who suggested we left the city. And apparently, the authorities knew too. I was the one who led us into a trap, and I feel horrible about it. I'm so sorry Faith..." His words drifted off at the end, his tone depressed. He felt way beyond guilty, and the thing was, he couldn't do anything about it.
"You should lay down." Sebastian suggested, putting her best interests in mind. "Otherwise, I'll have to make you." A sly smirk took over his face, and he was back to normal yet again. His bad feelings still lingered, however.

"I'll live? You wouldn't be alive without me saving you all those times." She huffed, furrowing her eyebrows, watching his back. "No you won't. Especially that blush that always comes up, you look just about ready to die. But it's kind of cute, so I'd let it slide." She grinned, reaching the arm with less things attached to pinch his cheek gently again.
She definitely despised the way he was putting the blame on himself -- she knew that him, especially right now, was not able to take all that damage, emotionally and physically. If anything, she was more than willing to take the blame. Had she not pushed him, he wouldn't have been shot in the back and hand, as well as injured his head, but then again, if she hadn't done that, they would likely be dead. Either way, she still felt like it was her fault. Some part of her kept telling her it was, although she knew that if she had not stuck around that first time she helped him, this wouldn't have happened.
The smaller girl's mouth opened, her gaze fixed on him. For once, she almost obliged, but at his second comment, she felt her own face heat up. The monitor, yet again, increased its beeping as her heart began to pound within her chest. So far, it seemed, Sebastian was winning and gaining on her.
"Make me?" She raised an eyebrow, clicking her tongue, but otherwise not trying to hide the painfully obvious blush that had settled on her smooth cheeks, her ears burning ever so slightly from just how embarrassed and shy she had gotten from his comment. "Hm. Then do it, if you're so sure making me will get me to lay down. Because I'm fairly certain the Faith Wolfe doesn't listen to mere iecbags like you."
Now, her arms were crossed over her chest, feet dangling over the edge of the bed as her dull, sapphire eyes rested on the boy in front of her, searching his features. She wasn't sure why he made her feel that way, all anxious and giddy and joyful despite being bed-ridden for who knows how long and just at the brink of death, but she chose to accept it. Or, rather, that she had some sort of feelings towards him, although not entirely sure what they were, nor if she should even mention them to him. It was probably in her best interest not to; she knew there was something going on with him, that would explain the way he grew all flustered at close contact and the kiss she had left on his cheek, but she would rather wait for some sort of confirmation before she settled on some sort of conclusion. It was all too cute to her, though. The way he looked away and tried to hide his red face whenever she'd embarrass him, shied away at her touch, and even now, when he had made the move to grab onto her hand again.
Her eyes were still on him. Her gaze didn't seem to falter or shift elsewhere, she was eagerly and curiously awaiting what he thought would make her listen to him. Again, that was her stubborn, hardheaded pride showing, even if she was still gravely injured.

Sebastian Frost - "Am I an icebag now?" "Hmph, I guess I'll give you that one." It was true, she was the only reason he was still alive, and not captured long ago. He moved to crack his knuckles, popping them one by one. "Aw, but mommm!" He made sure to draw out the mom as long as possible, like a little kid would when they didn't get their way. He actually let out a small laugh as she called his blush cute. She stuck his tongue out at her when she pinched his cheek, leaning away from it so she would let go.
True, the boy always piled the blame on him, and it was bad for his mental health, which was the reason he went from sarcastic to depressed in less than a millisecond. But he hated the idea of her taking the blame, for something she didn't necessarily do.
He didn't expect her to comply to his demand the first time, which was why he had followed up with his next statement of making her lay down. The thing that surprised him was that she was practically asking for it.
"You're pretty stubborn, but I'm sure I can make you lay down, even if you don't want to." Sebastian grinned, turning his entire body towards her. He was always ready to prove her wrong, especially now. Plus it gave all the more reason for her heart monitor to flourish with life. He too had liked to see her embarrassed, which caused them to be on semi-even terms when it came to who made the other blush more. She was obviously in the lead, but he hoped to take the cake with this one. Maybe it would even cause her to forget the pain, if even for a second.
Sebastian put his hands out in front of him, resting them on her shoulders. He then began to force her down, until her body was lying down on the bed. He was on top of her, still pinning her down. It was a really awkward position for the both of him, and even though he was the one doing it, a blush still came over his face. He then leaned in to maximize the effect it had on her. "Was this your plan all along?" The boy raised an eyebrow, staring into her Sapphire eyes. "Looks like I can return the favor now." He took a deep breath before kissing her on the lips, holding it for a few seconds, before pulling away and standing up. He then grabbed her legs, pulling them up on the bed as she had left them dangling over the side. He fluffed the pillow for her too, then sat down beside her once more.
"I don't want you to put strain on your body, especially with your wounds. So, you know, I had to do what I had to do." He spoke, staring at her, listening for the heart monitor to skyrocket. He would have to say, he was just as embarrassed as she was. It took a lot of guts to do what he just did, to kiss someone who used to be his rival. He just hoped she was ok with it, since he was.
After a couple minutes of silence as they both tried to process what just happened, him included, he finally spoke up.
"Don't underestimate the Sebastian Frost." He mimicked her, a grin plastered on his face, raising his hands and showing her his two finger guns. He was pretty cheesy at times, but it was rather enjoyable. He had almost forgotten where they were now, as the anxiety had lifted for those few moments.

"Oh, I'm sure you won't be able--" She was cut off, mostly by surprise, just as the boy began to force her down. It wasn't as if she could put up much of a fight, and she did try to push herself back up, but she stopped trying to when her chest had begun to ache from the stitching the surgeons had done on her. She felt butterflies in her stomach as he leaned in close, furrowing her eyebrows yet again as she tried to process what he had begun to say and why he was even trying to make some sort of move on her. She'd gotten the hint not too long ago, but of course, pushing him like she had been now was fun for her. A hobby, if you could call it that.
However, she wasn't truly expecting him to even be that close to her, even less when his face was so close to hers and their lips were just a few centimeters apart. At what he did next, she could hear the beeping accelerate, her hands reaching to lightly press to his chest as his lips met with hers. Her fingers curled ever so slightly, grabbing onto the fabric of his shirt before she let go, watching him rise up again. She blinked a few times, trying to process what he had just done, and what that would mean to either of them. She wasn't sure what the kiss meant on his part; did he do it out of pride, stubbornness? Or did he do it because he meant it? The girl wasn't sure, but she didn't want to ask, not while her face was burning red and the monitor deceived whatever she had to say for herself. For that, she didn't even bother to defend the beeping, letting him guess what was going on. Of course, it was pretty obvious.
"S-strain my body..." She mumbled, shifting so she was comfortably laying down on her bed, hands on her stomach. Her eyes were on the ceiling, her face still rosy, the beeping still going on at a relatively quick rate. "You're straining my body with that kiss of yours, icebag! You could've given me a heart attack! Who would you kiss if I died of a heart attack?" The girl paused, trying to play off his actions all cool and all, "That's right! No one, because the Faith Wolfe would be dead."
In all reality, she was nervous, her words were jittery and shaky, almost as if she was embarrassed, too. She didn't want to push and ask why he had done it, but she did let herself imagine why. For some reason, the blue-eyed girl was left wanting more; it had been ages since she'd had that sort of contact with anyone and, truthfully, it was a nice feeling, even with the obnoxious beeping giving up her facade.
"Tch, of course I wouldn't underestimate you. You just proved me wrong. The real question is what you even meant by that kiss." Her head turned slightly away from him, even as he pointed the two finger guns. Her own arms then crossed over her chest, but even so, her heartbeat kept relatively fast. And for some reason, the girl felt eager.

Sebastian Frost - "Of course I proved you wrong!" Heh, so she did like it! It was made clear as she gripped his shirt, leaning in slightly. Yes, score one for the Sebastian Frost.
"There's no way you would've had a heart attack. It's gonna take way more than that to kill the Faith Wolfe, right?" He crossed his arms as if making his point, watching her shift as she tried to find the words to say to him. It was really cute, the way she got nervous, struggling to find the right words to say as she attempted to play it cool.
"Ha, thanks. Glad to hear those words coming out of your mouth, how I just proved you wrong. It feels nice, you know?" He rested his hands down on his lap, kicking one foot up on the bed and lying down beside her while his other leg dangled off. He stared at the white ceiling, then let his gaze drift to look into her Sapphire eyes once again.
"Well," Sebastian cleared his throat, scratching his head. He couldn't find the words to answer her question about why he kissed her. "Y-you see..." He paused again momentarily, laughing quietly, in a nervous fashion. "I love you, Faith Wolfe." The boy blurted out, forcing himself to get through this mess of embarrassment and actually look her dead in the eye for once. "And I'm serious about it. Don't laugh, ok? I know it's cheesy, and I don't know how you feel, but I do know that I love you." It wasn't the best place to confess his love, but hey, at least he did.
"Also, I did it because I like seeing you blush. But it's mostly because I love you!" He quickly added the last comment and put his hands in front of his chest, not wanting her to get the wrong idea or anything.
"I had feelings for you for a long while, even way back when we met. There was just...something about you. Even though I despised you for whatever reason, you had always peaked my interests. Probably because you were just as sarcastic as I was, and that caught my attention. Or because you had powers like I did, and I thought maybe we understood each other better than the people on the streets." Sebastian shrugged, not sure why he was going into detail, so he left it at that.
"So, what's your opinion on all of this?"

Of course, her mouth had opened to spit out some kind of snarky remark, or to tease him, or possibly even get back at him. But he was really close to her yet again, laying down beside her, and it wasn't that she needed room, because there was plenty of it, but mostly because his presence got her heart beating quickly. It was odd to hear those words roll off his tongue, the only other people that had said such a thing to her were her parents, and that was ages ago. Now, at least, she was grateful someone was interested her, but she was unsure of how it would all work out, especially in a situation like they were in now.
For a long while, Faith kept silent, thinking and trying to calm herself down before she let a tiny, faint smile tug at the corners of her lips. "You, the Sebastian Frost, like -- no, love -- the Faith Wolfe." She said it lowly, almost in disbelief, but she didn't really add much to that. It was, yet again, another attempt at reassuring herself of what was even going on. Nowadays, she seemed to do that a lot. Her cheeks were still rosy, but it was mostly because he had confessed to her. At least now, the feeling was mutual, sort of.
"It's hard not to laugh." The water-user spoke, "Because it's so otherworldly that you even like me. I remember wanting to kill you at one point." She said it silently, only letting a small smile and low giggle leave her mouth when he kept trying to cover up what he thought was cute by saying that he loved her. It really only made her heart flutter.
"But, what's the bad thing in just doing it because you want to see me blush...? It's not like you haven't before." Her body shifted so she could face him slightly, making sure her wounds weren't pressed against anything or too hard to cause discomfort.
"M-my opinion..." Again, it grew quiet; she was pursing her lips together and her eyes shifted away, making eye contact only made her more nervous. Now, she had lost all sense of pride and that tough, hardheaded, stubborn outer shell she always had up and had let nervousness and anxiety and shyness overtake her. It wouldn't be long before that would go away, but right now, she had every reason to -- he felt the same way she did about him, and naturally, she wasn't sure of what to say. "W-well, whatever I have towards you might not have been as far back as what you had for me. Like, I guess I was attracted because you were... similar, but..." The girl shrugged slightly. "You just struck me as different and interesting, so I decided to stick by and help you out that time. But I really thought you would have left me for dead in the factory."
After she was done talking, she made a valiant effort to tilt her head up to look back up at him, cracking a tiny, hard-to-see smile, laced with all sorts of emotions.
(( alsooooo i decided on a faceclaim... so i put that on the form thing in the first page of the thread *thumbs up* ))

Sebastian Frost - "C'mon, just admit it already!" Sebastian nodded, before tilting his head back to look at her. He was only speaking the truth, and he feel it would be that hard to believe. He had always thought the embarrassment, the subtle flirting, and grabbing of her hand were easy giveaways. He chuckled to himself, listening to her speak.
"I know it's a bad place to confess, but I mean at least we aren't on the run anymore. We don't have to worry about that much." The boy's voice grew quiet, as he contemplated what they would do next. But before they could do anything, he figured they were waiting for the wounds to heal. So they had some time to spare before the real nightmares started, whatever it was. Because he knew it wasn't all sunshine and butterflies here. It was a lab setting, with sharp tools laid out on a table. That was never a good sign, as it reminded him of a doctor's or dentist's office.
"Stop it, you're making me feel embarrassed to admit it!" He ended with a laugh, his cheeks tinted a bright red color as he tried to cover his face to hide it.
"You...you wanted to kill me at one point?" He was dead serious, staring at her with a pretty terrified expression; his mouth was open in disbelief, and both of his eyebrows were raised. Now the tables have turned, and this was something he couldn't believe. Shaking his head to himself, he snickered. "Well, you weren't kidding with those death glares you always gave me."
He paused for a minute, pondering how to explain it to her. The boy raised his bandaged hand, resting it against his chin as he thought. It was kind of difficult to tell someone, after all. His emotions were always jumbled all the time, and he never seemed to find the right words to express himself.
"Well, I guess I just wanted some meaning behind it, y'know?" Sebastian nodded at himself, as if confirming it in his mind.
This was what he had been waiting for. He was about to know what she had thought of him, after the time they spent together recently. It hadn't been the longest time ever, but they had managed to get along. He was just worried she would completely reject him or something.
"Yes!" The boy celebrated to himself, letting a sigh of relief escape his lips as she called him interesting. Different was good too, in a way, but he had never been called interesting. It just made him feel good, since he hadn't been complimented in so long. The boy gave her a big smile in response, feeling rather happy in that one moment.
{I think we need something to ruin their little moment, haha. I just can't think of what though. Got any ideas?}
{Also, the face claim for Faith is so pretty!!!!!!!! ;3}

"I mean, who knows what they'll do to us in here. Confessing here... Well, I think it would be better than later, right?" She offered a tiny smile, frowning slightly as she looked down again. "I don't even know what they're going to do to me, to us. W-what if they want to kill us? Or experiment with us and then that kills us?"
The worst possible scenarios ran through her mind, coursing through like a nonstop river, and she felt utterly overwhelmed. It was too much for her -- anything could happen, like those guards outside coming back in and torturing them for whatever reason, even without justification, and the facility would probably be okay with that. Of course, they were criminals, their records were tainted and there was likely no way to wash them. Forever, it seemed, the two would be labelled criminals, monsters, and therefore dangerous.
"Kill you, yeah. I don't know, you just pissed me off so much once and I just, well, wanted to choke you out. Or something like that, anyway." She let out a small laugh at his terrified face, but at least she was being honest for once in her life. No jokes, no cherry on top, only the truth.
Her hands moved to touch his chest again, moving a little closer as she pressed her head into his neck, finding some sort of comfort and warmth, despite able to feel his cold skin under the blankets. She didn't want to move, nor hide herself as the monitor picked up speed just barely, but enough to be noticeable. Then, she closed her eyes and yawned.
"I don't even know what they've been injecting into my body." She mumbled, "I don't know if it's bad or good or whatever. Nor what they have planned. All I know is that I can't walk for who knows how long because of my leg, they did say that it needed to heal." She didn't move from where she was against him, and after a few seconds, she moved her head to look at him, the auburn strands of hair splayed out against the white pillows.
Then, at the other side of the door, she could hear some talking, this time being of voices she hadn't heard yet. She did recognize the nurse's voice, but among hers were two males and another woman. Never had she heard their voices and she was not able to match the voice to a face, and that sent some sort of panic through her. However, she didn't try to make it obvious, only looking at the door through the crook of Sebastian's neck.
( hmmmm.... perhaps they could run tests on them? like, they can try to fight them when they all enter bc maybe they feel afraid or whatever so they attack and after theyre tranquilized again, the docs run some tests through them. if you want they can end up enhancing their powers? or giving them an entirely new ability bc they messed up... im not sure what to do after that but theres my two cents haha
and yes! thank you >: 3 ))

Sebastian Frost - "I'll yell at them for you, I really will." "Try not to dwell on it too much." Sebastian offered, then rolled his eyes at himself. Look who's talking; the anxious ice wielder thought. "I...I don't think they want to kill us. Even if they do experiment on us, I'm pretty sure they would want to keep us alive, no matter what." He added while staring longingly at the ceiling, wishing it was the sky and not some white ceiling. It made him sick just thinking about what they were going to do, and so he tried to push it to the back of his mind to no avail.
"But I swear we're going to make it out of here. I'll do everything I possibly can." The boy crossed his heart, which meant way more than a pinkie promise. He attempted a smile, but it was full of worry.
Sebastian pouted, folding his arms over his chest. "I can not believe you wanted to kill the Sebastian Frost." He mocked her usual tone, but kept it lighthearted, clearly joking and just messing with her. "Sebastian Frost is cool, and everyone adores him." The ice wielder gave a hearty laugh before quickly adding, "I'm totally kidding. I get where you're coming from, if I was you I would have thought the same thing." The criminal admitted, exhaling which caused his breath to appear like smoke. That was just a side-effect of the cold, but it had slipped his mind. Now he watched his breath appear and disappear, which was oddly calming. Sometimes, he completely forgot the fact that he had powers, and how he was cold to everyone around him.
Sebastian rested his injured hand on her head, choosing his injured hand so she didn't have to feel his cold, direct touch. Absentmindedly, he played with her hair for a while, as it gave him some sort of comfort as well.
"Well I tried asking the nurse about it...forcefully...but she still didn't give me an answer. But if you don't feel anything, I guess that's a good thing? Maybe it's to help you heal faster? Honestly, I have no idea." Sebastian shrugged his shoulders. "I'll go yell at them until they find a quicker way to heal you, if you want." He offered, though it was just a joke. He really would do it, but he knew she wouldn't want him to.
At the sound of unfamiliar voices, Sebastian immediately tensed, pushing himself up to a sitting position. His instinct was to go on the defensive, and his heart started to race. There were too many people for his liking, and fighting was the only thing he knew how to do.
{I love the thought of them fighting back and getting tranquilized, and having tests run on them! Lol I've been a bit brain dead lately, can't think of anything else to do haha.}

"It's fine, you don't have to yell at them..." She was cut off when she heard the door slide open, propping herself up with her arm, her curls falling over her shoulders when she moved herself to sit up, legs crossed on the mattress. Her dull, sapphire eyes were fixated on the woman, the one that she had woken up to in the room earlier, as she approached the table with all the tools, murmuring something to herself.
Within a few seconds, a man had walked in after her -- Faith assumed he was a doctor -- and the two started talking.
"We can get her to sleep again. Then we can do further tests and analyze it further." He was speaking lowly, but he wasn't mindful of how quiet the room was, which caused Faith to stiffen. They were speaking about her. "There seems to be some special chemicals and compounds in her blood, you know, when we did all those blood tests on her before surgery. It appears that this chemical, whatever it is, powers her ability to use water. So, I think it's also safe to assume that it can also power the boy's ability. Maybe with a different chemical structure, but would serve the same purpose." Now, Faith's gaze shifted onto Sebastian, her fingers curling and gripping onto the bedsheets. She wasn't one to fight, but right now, she wished she could bounce off the bed and land a punch right in the middle of the man's head.
"Yes, of course. But how will we extract it? We need to single it out to even see how we could apply it to the real world. We could end so many water shortages in developing countries with her, and possibly restore the ice caps with his abilities." The woman made some odd hand movements before she picked up a syringe, handing it to the doctor, "Anyway, the serum is ready. So just... get the guards to get 'em and we can get those tests running as fast as we can."
"Of course. Those sound like wonderful ideas, Ms. Truss, but we need to be realistic. We're not sure how we could even duplicate that compound, anyway, and if we did, it would probably cost millions. The only other option would be to, well, harvest it off them. What if there are others like the two?"
At that, Faith moved her arm to grab onto all the wires, yanking them out one by one, then springing off the bed and onto her feet. He was in a defensive stance, and although she would have loved to fight as well, she didn't hesitate to grab onto his hand and pull the door open in one swift movement. There was an obvious limp as she ran with the boy after her, she was still injured after all, but she didn't let that stop her. Then again, when did it? Faith didn't always follow the rules that were set.
"I can't run!" She whimpered, hearing the nurse and the doctor that had once been in the room with them shout at them, pointing towards the two escapees and then yell at the guards to proceed to run after them as well. Being so large and muscular proved to be a setback -- they weren't running as fast as Sebastian and Faith were, but if they managed to get their hands on them, they were good as toast. Faith nearly tripped a few times, her hands pressing down onto the wound over her leg to provide some kind of support as she ran ahead of him.
"We need reinforcements near room A128, the two subjects are on the loose! They may pose a danger for the others in the facility -- lock it down!" One of the men yelled into his phone, of which he had dialed as he had begun to run.
Then, loudly, she cussed, turning her head to see the two large men right on their tails, frustration and desperation flashing in her eyes. All she wanted was to leave and be free again, without them always being so vigilant over the two elementals, but that wouldn't be possible for who knows how long.
(its ok lol... i was at the pool all day today and i might be tomorrow and wednesday and im s o fried..... but anyway this was what i could come up with? so if you wanna add on : P i was also thinking seb and fai should have like... subject names given to them and maybe hwile theyre being tested they could get it like tattooed onto them or something like that prisony stuff ykno))

Sebastian Frost - "I'm sorr-" Sebastian's eyes narrowed as he watched them move towards the tools, just daring them to make a move.
"Don't speak like we're not here. You know, I'm easily ticked off. And right now, you're asking for it." Sebastian growled at them, listening to their dumb science stuff and trying to comprehend it with no luck. As his eyes fell on the syringe, he tensed, about ready to run up and smack that out of their hand. Even if it wasn't necessarily directed at him, though they would probably stick it in the both of them, he got nervous at the sight of it. He was like one of the kids you see on viral videos, thrashing and practically on the verge of tears as they were forced to get a shot.
Sebastian's head immediately turned to Faith as she starting tugging all the wires out of her body wildly. His mouth was open, about to tell her something, but she hopped off the bed and started running, hand in his. Sebastian ran after her, quickly catching up to her so they matched their pace. He could tell she was just as nervous as he was, judging by how she immediately tried to escape. He glanced down at her leg, which she was limping on, frowning slightly, knowing she was probably going through a lot of pain just trying to escape.
Sebastian didn't want Faith to use her leg much, but that seemed like the least of her worries, as she stubbornly ran ahead of him. What did he expect? He knew she was able to hold her own, even if she was in terrible pain.
The boy's head started to ache again, as he had stood up too fast mixed with sudden physical activity.
Sebastian took a deep breath, letting go of her hand before turning sharply on his feet, shoving his hands outwards as he froze the two men, stopping just before it reached their heads. The rest of their bodies were frozen in a block of ice, rendering them useless and unable to shoot or run. But Sebastian didn't have the good end, as he held onto her, using her to steady himself. But if she was willing to go on, he knew he had to as well. Despite the fact that he was leaning forward, feeling as if he was about to pass out. His vision was starting to go back around the edges, and he raised one hand to his head. He could hear shouting, but couldn't make out any of the words.
This time, he was unable to keep running, despite how hard he forced himself to run. The boy's grip on her shoulder which he had used to steady himself was starting to slip, and before he could apologize or tell her to go on, the boy passed out on the spot from overexerting himself, lying motionless on the ground but still breathing. And right when he fell, the ice that had encased the guards had started to melt, leaving Faith in a bad spot. It seemed like the world didn't want them to escape...not today.
{Lol swimming is fun! Or just being in a pool in general. I hope you have fun! Also yeah, decided that Seb had been tranquilized before so I decided to change it up. Ooooohhhhh yessssss, they need their test subject names branded on them or something lol.}

As the girl felt Sebastian let her hand go, she slowed down to a stop to watch him freeze the two guards before she helped him continue on as they tried to escape. Of course, despite how hard she was trying, she felt his weight slide off her shoulders and then him collapse. At that, she then realized that the guards were unfrozen, some parts of their skin blackened from the sheer cold -- surely, for doing that, they must've been pretty upset and mad, therefore riling them up, even if just slightly.
"Sebastian!" She yelped, turning to kneel before him, even if it did pain her to even move slightly. "Wake up, come on!" Her hands cupped his cheeks, frowning before looking up to see the guards fast approaching.
She decided that she didn't have time to do much, so she stood as best as she could, realizing that through her hospital gown, there was blood beginning to stain the fabric, caused by the wound on her leg reopening. She looked around, head surveying the ceiling and quickly noticing that there were fire sprinklers installed into the structure of the facility. Deciding to use that to her advantage, she moved her hands up and forcefully, as the small objects began to quiver and shake, water began to fall from above. Hoping for the best, she urged for the pipes lining the ceiling to shake and shatter, allowing for gallons of water to surge down onto them, the guards then slipping and falling, earning her a few seconds to get on the move again. Hopefully, they would be bruised and injured, as she was, but she was certain that the severity wouldn't be as bad as what the officers had done to her. She wasn't in the best shape to hurt them that badly, either.
"C-come on..." She did her best to grab onto his arm and wrap it around her shoulder, pulling herself up with the boy, obviously struggling.
She began to run, although she was much slower than before, but managed to gain some distance from the men. However, at the other end of the hallway, there were reinforcements blocking her way. The girl let a low curse escape her lips, her vision was blurry and foggy, so she strained her eyes and squinted as she tried to search for any other possible way out. There was none, to no avail.
"Corner them, there's more reinforcements coming from all exits. They won't be able to leave." She heard a commanding officer order through their speaker phones, "They will no longer be able to rain chaos upon the city."
Faith felt a surge of anger course through her, and she was just about to let her temper get the best of her, being cut off from her thoughts when she felt something pierce into her shoulder. Turning her head just slightly, she was able to see a small dart stuck into her shoulder, and oh, boy, did it send a wave of pain through her body. The effects weren't immediate, so naturally, she assumed it was just an empty threat, turning to look behind her, still struggling to keep herself and Sebastian on their feet.
"You think a dart is going to stop me?" She growled loudly, her voice loud as it echoed through the halls. From the corner of her eyes, she could see several other prisoners walk up to the doors of their cells, watching what was causing the commotion. She didn't blame them. She would have done the same. "I'm not going to let you take me into your hands again -- whatever you think you're going to do to my body, it's not happening, so scratch that off your schedules." Her voice was dripping with anger, probably even an emotion beyond that, inexplicable with mere words. The water that she had brought down into the room rippled and formed into rather large waves as she spoke, almost as if it was reacting to how furious the girl was.
As she turned around, however, she felt her vision grow blurry and she felt faint, blinking quickly to try to keep herself up. Within seconds after that, she felt herself fall, the water catching her and easing the fall for the both of them. Moments after that, she felt arms rush over to grab onto her, and she assumed they did the same for Sebastian before she felt herself pass out.
((only the first few hours, not when im totally fried lmao 'v' but yes! i did, thanks hehe that works ;v;// mm... maybe they can meet other elementals after theyre tested on? like theyre tossed into some place with a few others that also hate the people in the facility or something))
