( Dᴀɴɴʏ Pʜᴀɴᴛᴏᴍ - Got it. )[ Lightningpaw // Camp Stone ]- Shadowfur's sharp warning only pushed Lightningpaw to go faster this time. He raced along imagining there was a fox snapping at his heels, hungry for cat blood. After a few paces back and forth, the adrenaline in his veins began to slow him down, but he forced himself to keep going. He couldn't stop now; he had to prove that he had endurance.[ Snakepaw // Camp Fire ]- Snakepaw narrowed her eyes as she peered at the tunnel system that Flamepelt began to explain about. Even from where she sat, she could scarcely see what was inside that tunnel besides some stray brown rocks covered in shadows. She didn't want to really imagine what was in there. As Flamepelt began to separate everyone in duos, she heard her name, and looked around for the cat whom she had been assigned to. Hailpaw? She spotted the blue-grey tom not too far away and narrowed her pupils. I don't know him, but hopefully he's not going to be too much of a hassle once we're in there.
At Flamepelt's command, she took off towards the egress, blinking as her eyes were met with dim light, almost not enough to see clearly. Sighing, she raced through the narrow passageways trying to get a grip of her surroundings. Occasionally, she'd glance behind her to see if Hailpaw and Sparrowpaw were still behind her.[ Moonleaf // F.R.C. ]- "Dang." She shuffled closer on the other side of the root, placing her paws on its rough surface. Her ears flattened as she sighed softly. "Tell me about it. It's like they're not pulling their weight." She decided to crack a small joke to lighten the mood, although her voice was wry and still grim. "About as useful as a cat trying to convince their prey to stay still for them, eh?"
[ Tigerfury // Camp Leaf // Wolfdusk ] - Tigerfury paused as she noticed that one of her students wasn't paying attention like he should be, as everyone else. "Hey!" She growled, leaning into Swiftpaw's face and forcing him to look at her. "When I tell you to stand at attention, I expect you to line up with the other Cadets and give me your undivided attention! You understand?"

Littlepaw The small tabby raced forward as fast as he could, the skinny cadet winding through most of the slower cats. He reached the tree quickly and immediately tried to turn and run back the other way. Littlepaw stumbled, the tom going down in a puff of dirt as he hit the ground with a light thump. But, so terrified by Shadowfur's threats, his legs immediately began pedaling and the cadet took off again back towards the line. Littlepaw winced, feeling the burning sensation from not getting enough air already hitting in his chest, and the brown tabby slowed down as the energy he had put through running the first few laps ran out as he turned to do another.
Honeypaw Honeypaw kept with the group, the golden she-cat moving just fast enough to lead the group without using all of her energy immediately. She almost fell over as the tiny frightened tom from earlier burst past, and Honeypaw growled lowly. Her ears flicked towards where Shadowfur was yelling at them again and the golden she-cat picked up the pace. Her gaze settled on the small tabby that just seemed to keep causing problems, and the cadet began moving faster to overtake the frightened cat. She glanced at the white-and-brown striped cadet as she caught up with him. Honeypaw smirked at the other cat, and then put more energy into running past even him until she could take the lead. The golden she-cat leapt over the tree's roots before doing a tight turn around the back of the tree-trunk and racing back towards the line.
Hailpaw "Hey, wait a second!" Hailpaw yelled after the black cadet that had raced into the tunnels. He glanced at Sparrowpaw with a raised eyebrow, before flicking his tail for the other cat to follow him after their third partner. Luckily it didn't seem like Snakepaw had gotten too far away, and the grey tom quickly chased after her hoping to catch up before one of them got lost.

[ Lightningpaw // Camp Stone ] - The cream tabby felt the breeze flowing over his spiky fur like water, giving him a bit more confidence. He stole a glance at Honeypaw. It's not a race, Lightningpaw, he thought to himself. Stop trying to one-up everyone!
Despite his thoughts, Lightningpaw shrugged. A bit of fun never hurt anyone. He lunged forward as the neared the line, digging his claws into the ground to propel himself forwards. He and twisted around to run back to the tree, locking eyes with the she-cat as she passed.
[ Snakepaw // Camp Fire ] - Snakepaw glanced behind her again, slowing to a race walk as she waited for her teammates to catch up. She could scent Flamepelt in here, but it felt like he was everywhere at once.

(I was just gonna go to bed but if I dont do this now I feel like I'll forget) Honeypaw Honeypaw smirked at the other cadet as he passed her, heading in the other direction. She had to think she was ahead then, wasn't she? It was actually somewhat hard to tell with the way everyone of the cats doing the laps were blending in together. The thought that perhaps she was actually behind the others caused Honeypaw's smirk of confidence to turn into a glare of annoyance. She pushed more energy into running, though even now she could feel the ache that came from running as hard as you could setting in.
Littlepaw Littlepaw almost stumbled over again, the small cadet's energy severely waning. By now he had fallen back into the middle of the pack, and he felt a bit dizzy from the lack of air. He kept running though, the mental picture of Shadowfur feeding him his own paws bringing him fresh waves of terror. The adrenaline rush could only last for so long though; as he did another lap over the line, Littlepaw felt himself begin to drop back farther, the other cadets pushing past him. The small tabby continued running, but every breathe was a ragged pant and he only continued to slow down as he ran.

SweetComet Mᴏᴏɴ - - Wolfdusk LórienShadowfur - -After several minutes, Shadowfur had finally picked out the cats he wanted to pick on. Surprise surprise, Littlepaw was at the top of that list. The tiny thing kept nearly tripping over his own paws and was now falling far behind the other cadets. It was almost as if he'd never run a day in his life. Shadowfur wondered what kind of wimpy cats his parents were. "Stop, all of you, and get on the line now!" Willowstrike, FRC - -Willowstrike allowed a small, brief smile to cross over his face as Moonleaf made the joke. "Pretty much," he agreed. Letting out yet another sigh, he got up. "Well, I suppose we'd better get back on duty. I don't know about you, but I've been on break for a bit too long by now. I'll get it from the commander, that's for sure, but oh well. I deserve it." Shrugging, the pale tabby headed off in the direction of his unit commander's den for his next duty orders.

(I'm doing this on mobile so we'll see how it goes)
Brackenpaw ~ Brackenpaw stood as tall as he could, with his tail pointed towards the sky and his head held high. His eyes followed Captain Tigerfury attentively, awaiting future orders. He flicked his ear as a fellow cadet was already being called out for not paying attention. Brackenpaw had hoped he never got yelled at, but that seemed impossible now that he was actually here. However, to the tabby tom, nothing was impossible, but still, if he did get yelled at, there was a reason and he would make sure that he would never do whatever it was again. Criticism is essential to success, so he was prepared for the harsh words and the strictness facing him as he traveled through his journey as a cadet and even beyond that.

Dᴀɴɴʏ Pʜᴀɴᴛᴏᴍ [ Lightningpaw // Camp Stone ]- Lightningpaw slowed to a full stop at the line, sweat beading along his forehead as he stopped at the line. His claws dug in the dirt there as he straightened up to look expectantly at Shadowfur, his breath escaping in ragged gasps as he slowly recovered from the run.[ Moonleaf // F.R.C. ]- She nodded in silent agreement, rising to her paws and following alongside the tom, the tip her tail dragging on the ground. Their break time had been prolonged this time; they were most likely needed back at heir Posts a while ago. She hated being late for anything, but was prepared for any future scolding.

Shadowfur - -
Once his cadets were on line, Shadowfur started barking once more. "That.... was pathetic! With the exception of maybe two of you, that was the sloppiest running I've ever seen! You all better shape up, or I'll follow through with my promise to stick your own legs down your throat!"
He lowered his head for a moment, allowing his cadets a moment to absorb his threat. He always hated how pathetic, useless, and scrawny new recruits were. He loved, however, building them up into proud, strong, and fast soldiers. It was why he was still a drill sergeant after all these moons.
Eventually, he looked back up. "Now, we're going to get a few rules straight here before we move on. First and foremost, everything you say to me or to another civilian or soldier at this camp will have a "sir" or a "ma'am" stuck somewhere in it. Second, you do what I say when, how, and where you are told to do it. Third, you do not leave this camp without my permission. Fourth, every time I give you an order, you will acknowledge it with an 'aye, sir'."
Willowstrike, FRC
Captain Finchlegs's den was huge. As one of the unit commanders, he held a lot of power and prestige within First Respondent. He had worked hard to get where he was, and that was obvious. He had a certain aura about him; one that was timeless yet aged at the same time. He was a highly intelligent cat, always looking at every problem from several different perspectives to find the right solution. Even though he could be overconfident at times, Willowstrike would follow him into battle any time. He attributed the recent loss to Finchlegs being absent from the battlefield. The captain had sprained his paw on patrol the previous day, and was under orders to rest. He had been incredibly angry with his commanders for sending Stronghold cats to finish an FRC job, but he complied nonetheless. It's hard to argue with generals, even as an accomplished captain.
The interior of Finchlegs's (massive) den was covered with a thick, squishy layer of moss, fur, and feathers. Sticks for writing letters were stacked neatly in one corner, and fresh prey was waiting to be consumed in another. The aroma of mouse and squirrel hung heavy in the air, making Willowstrike's stomach growl. The cool interior of the den was in stark contrast to the humidity and heat outside.
Captain Finchlegs himself was sitting at the back of his den. He watched Willowstrike appear carefully, as if trying to decipher his reason for coming. Sergeant Commander Thornfang, Finchlegs's personal guard, immediately stalked over to the younger soldier.
"Private Willowstrike," he hissed, his thick pelt spiking with aggression. "State your business."
Meeting his superior's gaze evenly, the young tom answered, "I am seeking permission to speak with the captain, sir." Out of all of his peers, Thornfang made him truly fearful. The tom was a skilled, aggressive fighter with a hot temper. He was always snapping at everyone, even his superiors sometimes. His ginger ears were terribly scarred from the number of times his commanders had boxed them for disrespect. He did his job as a guard well, but Willowstrike always thought his drill sergeant made a mistake in putting him in First Respondent. He should have been a Thunder cat.
Thornfang curled his lip. "For what reason?"
Forcing his voice to remain steady, Willowstrike said, "To receive my orders, sir."
"Permission granted, private."
Thornfang stepped aside briefly to let Willowstrike pass, before resuming his prior position to challenge Moonleaf's appearance in the den.

Dᴀɴɴʏ Pʜᴀɴᴛᴏᴍ [ Lightningpaw // Camp Stone ]- Lightningpaw sighed, hanging his head momentarily before returning his gaze to his commander's cold blue, his fur pricking up at the threat. What he did was nothing comparedthe expectations Shadowfur may have had. He'd have to work even harder or else Shadowfur might take his warning seriously. He listened carefully to the black tom's next rules as his breath slowed. "Aye, sir!" he meowed loudly with a nod of confirmation to top it off, once he was done speaking. "Understood, sir!"[ Moonleaf // F.R.C. ]- A blast of cool air rushed into Moonleaf's nose as she followed Willowstrike inside the spacious den. She marveled at its size and how neatly everything was placed; clean and seemingly untouched. At Commander Thornfang stepped up to assess Willowstrike's purpose for coming inside the lair, her heart jumped in her chest. Thornfang didn't scare her, but his temper could be quite jarring and surprising sometimes. Once he was finished with her friend, she stood up straight and performed a quick salute. "Greetings, sir," she said calmly. "I am here for the same reason as Willowstrike; to request permission to recieve my commands from Captian Finchlegs, sir."

( Mᴏᴏɴ - - you have cloudyromxnce and Cool Guy's characters in your troop now) Willowstrike, FRC - -Tigerfang snorted. "Holy crap, it's like we have a frickin' parade coming in here. You may pass, private. Quickly." Meanwhile, Willowstrike approached Finchlegs carefully. "Permission to speak, sir?" "Permission granted," the older cat answered, his voice rich and smooth. Willowstrike nodded. "Aye, sir. Private Moonleaf and I have come to hear of our next orders." The ginger-and-white tomcat nodded slowly. "Yes, of course." He looked thoughtful for a second, as if thinking over what needed to be done. "The patrols have already gone out for this hour, and neither of you are on guard rotation today. Therefore, you may go and fetch moss and help your already-working peers replace the nests in the dens." Willowstrike's heart sunk at the order. He'd been expecting a hearty request, something with substance. He'd been itching to get out and patrol or hunt or guard all day. And yet here he was, about to go out and collect moss. What a bummer. "Aye, sir," he said, the disappointment he felt obvious. He thought he detected a slight twinkle in the captain's eyes. "Dismissed." "Aye, sir."

Dᴀɴɴʏ Pʜᴀɴᴛᴏᴍ - ( Alright. c: )[ Moonleaf // F.R.C. ]- Moonleaf nodded respectfully and slipped past before Thornfang changed his mind. As Finchlegs relayed their tasks to them, Moonleaf felt a frown fall onto her lips. Nest duty...She thought dejectedly. Surely we can do something more than that.
The female opened her mouth to object, but closed it almost immediately, not wanting to say something that might upset her superior. As they finished, she held in a sigh, and dipped her head in reverence as Finchlegs dismissed them.
"Aye, sir."

Mᴏᴏɴ - -Willowstrike, FRCWillowstrike left the den, ignoring the smirk Thornfang shot his way as they left. Arrogant furball. He headed toward the entrance/exit of the post, walking straight past a tight group of muddy soldiers who must have just returned from a patrol. He dipped his head politely to the guards stationed out front as he passed them by, heading straight into the woods. "It's so freaking humid," he muttered as he walked out into free territory. He kept trudging along, knowing perfectly well that the best spots for moss were unfortunately quite far from post.

Dᴀɴɴʏ Pʜᴀɴᴛᴏᴍ [ Moonleaf // F.R.C. ]- She grunted in response, dipping her head at both the passing soldiers and the sentries. She missed the cooled interior of the Captain's den; summer heat hit her skin as she treaded out into the forest. "Uncomfortably so," she added unenthusiastically.Moonleaf kept her eyes peeled as they continued strolling, knowing that it'd be a lengthy walk before they could reach the moss-plentiful areas of the territory.

Willowstrike, FRC
Eventually, Willowstrike came across a nice, thick patch of moss. Surely this would be plentiful enough to mold six or seven nests. He plopped himself down right next to the patch and started carefully working it up with his paws. His mind flashed back to when he was a young kit, when his mother used to give him moss collecting duty as a punishment for acting out. Boy, how time had passed.

Littlepaw - - Camp Fire The small tabby nearly collapsed at the finish line. He managed to keep standing, though the heaving breaths he had to take were rocking him on his small paws. "A-Aye, sir!" He yelled along with the others as he listened to Shadowfur's orders. Littlepaw huffed in air, a burning in his lungs that slowly faded. As he managed to regain his breath, the tabby got back into the at-attention stance.
Hailpaw - - Camp Stone The grey tom panted slightly as he caught up with Snakepaw, his blue eyes glancing around the tunnels. "Nice to see you'll wait for us eventually." Hailpaw grumbled, looking around closer now that they were all together. "Any idea of where we are? Or going?"
Honeypaw Honeypaw stopped at the line, tail swaying back and forth. Her golden fur was ruffled, but the cadet was careful to keep her breathes even and long. It wouldn't do to seem like that simply running laps could tire her out, because it couldn't and it wouldn't. She glanced over the others, before getting back into 'at attention' pose.

Cadet Sparrowpaw // Camp Fire -
Sparrowpaw padded faster in an effort to join the other too and came to walk next to Hailpaw, also wondering if Snakepaw knew where she was actually going. "Yeah, we can't just charge in without thinking.. That'll get us nowhere," she told them, keeping her green eyes on the dark and murky path ahead. The dark ginger tabby flicked her tail as they went further and further inside, the light fading with every step. Sparrowpaw instinctively moved a bit closer to the gray tom next to her, unsure of their surroundings and when the tunnel would end.
Cadet Rowanpaw // Camp Stone -
The ginger tom skidded to a halt when Shadowfur commanded and gladly plopped down to sit on the line with the others, breathing heavily. I'm assuming I'm not one of those two, the solid ginger cadet thought to himself. I never realized I was so out of shape! Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter. Shadowfur's probably going to fix that for me anyways... Rowanpaw listened to his mentor speak as he slowly got his breath back, and after Lightningpaw responded to his words with a loud, clear, "Yes, sir!"
Cadet Swiftpaw // Camp Leaf -
Swiftpaw met Tigerfury's gaze evenly, obviously undaunted by her words and her fierce expression. "Yeah, I got it," he grunted, just wanting the older she-cat to get out of his face. The brown tom moved a bit so that he was more in line with the others, then turned back to her. "There."

Dᴀɴɴʏ Pʜᴀɴᴛᴏᴍ Wolfdusk cloudyromxnce SweetComet [ Moonleaf // F.R.C. ]- Moonleaf proceeded to gather up her own set of moss as well, the plant plush under her paws. She smiled a bit, recalling the nests at Camp Fire. "I remember cleaning out our moss dens back in boot camp. They weren't the most comfortable, but, hey; I take what I can get."[ Snakepaw // Camp Fire ]- Snakepaw heard Hailpaw and Sparrowpaw behind her, knowing that they couldn't exactly get out of here without a plan. "I suggest we follow the scent trail that's the strongest," suggested, her nose twitching as she sniffed around. "It may be the way that Sergeant Flamepelt initially went." [ Tigerfury // Camp Leaf ]- Already fed up with this tom's disrespect, Tigerfury latched her jaws into Swiftpaw's scruff and forced him to turn around and face her. "When you stand at attention you keep your eyes on me," she said, her voice rising to a yell. "Don't let me break your scrawny little neck!"Tigerfury hoped that Swiftpaw wasn't so stupid as to think he could continue to get away with such blatant disobedience. Because if he did, there was going to be harsh consequences in store for him. These kittens might have been able to get away with bossing around their older peers at home, but not with her."Let's set some rules straight," she growled, pacing up and down the line. "I'm not your mommy. I'm not here to baby you, so listen up, because I won't be repeating myself. You may not leave the camp grounds without given permission. Regardless of how you're feeling or what the weather is like outside, you are to adhere to my orders, when and how I give them. As far as everything else goes, I am in charge here. Not you little brats. Thus, you are to respect me; you are not permitted to call me anything but 'ma'am' or 'Sergeant Tigerfury' when I speak to you ungrateful kids. Do I make myself clear?"

Shadowfur - -
Upon noticing that Cadet Honeypaw had failed to sound off, Shadowfur stalked over to her. Thrusting his muzzle close to hers, he hissed, "Cadet Honeypaw, are you hard of hearing? I swear on my old mother's health that I just said less than thirty seconds ago that when you're given an order, you say 'aye, sir'. And yet here you are, silent as a dead cat."
Flamepelt - -
Flamepelt arrived at the tunnel exit, having gone all the way around as he didn't want to leave his scent in the tunnels. He didn't want to give his charges any kind of advantage, of course. Things in training were supposed to be hard. He sat himself down and got comfortable, waiting for the first group to arrive.
Willowstrike, FRC
He laughed. "Yeah, I definitely remember that, too. It was just another one of the many grueling things I had to do as well. But hey, at least we're out of it now, even if it doesn't feel like it sometimes. Those drill sergeants could be brutal sometimes. My drill sergeant hung a cat by his forelegs upside down once from a tree, just for mouthing off one too many times."

[ Brackenpaw ]
Brackenpaw stood at attention silently as he watched out of the corner of his eye and listened to Tigerfury begin to yell at a fellow cadet. As she began pacing the line, his gaze followed her intently. "Aye, ma'am." The young cadet stated loudly and clearly following her words which he listened carefully to, sticking them in his mind. Everything Sergeant Tigerfury said had to be important so he decided to note everything in his mind, no matter the amount.

(when you realize what you posted never sent off Arg) Hailpaw - - Camp Stone Hailpaw nodded his head in agreement, before lifting his nose to the air and opening his mouth slightly. As he breathed in, the scents of other cats and the somewhat humid cave system rose to the top of his mouth. It was hard to distinguish exactly where their captain had been and was at now with the smell of other cadets entering the tunnels rising to mask it. Part of him wondered if that was on purpose, and another part insisted it probably was. "Can either of you catch his scent better than I can? Cause so far he's just all over the place and masked by the other cats."
Honeypaw The golden she-cat's ear twitched in annoyance, her tail swaying slightly as she fought off the feeling to lash it out. "Sorry, sir. Orders Understood, sir." She replied stoically, fighting back the irritation she felt. Honeypaw stared directly ahead, though inwardly she started berating herself. 'Called out again, what am I? Some no good kit that can't find their way out of a wet bush?' She thought, quietly grounding out the tiny voice saying that if she paid more attention to their commander rather than looking good, she would have noticed to say 'yes sir'.

Dᴀɴɴʏ Pʜᴀɴᴛᴏᴍ SweetComet Wolfdusk [ Moonleaf // F.R.C. ]- "Yikes. Poor guy." She gave him a half-smile, flattening out the clump of moss so that it'd be easier to carry. "I can't object to that. Nothing's scarier than a vicious drill sergeant; the only 'trouble' I really got into was a talking to after a memorial. But that was really it." Guilt stabbed her in the heart at the memory of Private Berrysting's funeral. Apparently, she didn't have good hearing back then, because she touched his cover - when she'd been explicitly told not to. The gesture was only out of love and respect; she didn't think anything else of it then. But it was still a stupid and disrespectful move nonetheless, and Moonleaf never really forgave herself for it.[ Snakepaw // Camp Fire ]- She stepped a bit father inside, but the smells had already started mixing, to her dismay. Grunting in frustration, Snakepaw looked around for a bit before starting forwards again. It was best to see if she could trust her gut, while still being logical with these alien tunnels. "I can try," she replied, a bit of uncertainty seeping into her monotone voice. "But I believe we should take turns leading the group. If someone picks up another familiar scent, they can take the lead at anytime. We'd better get going now."
Her sense of smell was bombarded by the unique smells of her peers, but she veered into the nearest passageway, following the scent she thought was closest to Flamepelt. Of course, she wasn't making any assumptions; the smell was mixed, but it was her best option for now.
