Yeah, LA is okay, but like ... everywhere else is also really cool. XD You need to see a small town in the middle of Cali-nowhere for starters. Or visit a library midway through the state and watch them look at you odd when you ask for a 'graphic novel'. The US is wild and grand.
Plus, there are places which are actually interesting, I swear. Come see the largest ball of twine!

LA’s been fun, but I’m really much more of a country person. Cities are loud. And there are too many people. I’d love to go north, up to Mammoth and Lake Tahoe.
And yeah... driving through the US was.. interesting. Saw some very strange things. Went to some interesting places. And some unbelievably cool places. I really can’t wait to check out even more of the country!
Oh! Sounds... interesting XD

San Diego is not for you then. XD Maybe Griffith Park is still worth the visit, however. I need the country. The country and mountains and forests are great. Probably why my family National Park hop.
I imagine. Done that once. It was ... very ... very interesting.
I read this book once that had the main characters visiting all the weird places (like Chewing Gum alley) in the US. Some things, pardon the pun, stuck.

I plan on going to San Diego for the zoo and little else.
Oh my XD We have some interesting ‘big’ things in Australia. Mostly fruits. The big banana is the most famous, although the big mango got the spotlight a couple of years ago (I think) because people stole it.

What's this about big things? XD Like ... what happens with these things? Are they on display or ...?

Basically XD They’re just giant statues of fruit on display. People visit them. They’re at popular tourist destinations. It’s kinda weird.

Then again, we have a Pez museum.

That is pretty bizarre XD
I don’t think we have anything quite that strange... If we do, I haven’t been there!
Speaking of visits, too, one day you gotta come visit me in Australia!

One day XD
In other news, I haven’t slept in about 36 hours, but I’m home (it’s very, very hot) and I wrote several scenes on the plane today, so progress!
On a convince myself to eat, then pass out for approximately 10-12 hours.

And I’m up again.
Passed out for twelve hours, so I’m feeling fully refreshed! Got one last stretch to drive, then I’m home. Back to my dog and my cat and my own bed. And my kitchen. I’ve missed cooking XD

Oh, I will!
It’s funny. Both my pets are very clingy, so they’ll probably just follow me around for the next few days XD
And oh, I gotta work on getting my holiday pics up for you guys to see!

Evidently, I do not learn from the past, because I am considering starting not one, but two comics, even though I know I’ll be insanely busy considering university starts next month and even though I know I’ll be unhappy with the colouring.
But maybe that’s the point - to start unhappy with the colouring and get better. I don’t know. Did you ever read ‘Off-White’? Because the improvement in that is insane and I’m still hoping that’ll happen to me.
And you know... I spent considerable time overseas reworking ‘Westward’ concepts and improving character design.
Maybe this is a good time to admit I have no idea what I’m doing XD

Who knows what they're doing? Is that possible? Someone! If you know what you're doing, come tell us!!!
But seriously, you improve and you improve, but the thing about being an artist or writer there isn't any peak to how good you can get. You just go on with a very, very distant hope that when you look back a year later you wont want to rip your hair out because you want to rewrite it.

Ah, Mint. You never fail to make me feel better <3
I mean, it’s not like I can post anything until mid-March (when I have access to a scanner again) so in the meantime, I guess I just draw a heck-tonne of concept art and get things nailed down properly.
I gotta practice drawing wolves, because I finally worked out how I want to open the second of my two comics.

Definitely. Since I couldn't stop my mind from working last night, I have so many ideas for Westward concept art. Including putting together some actual reference/model sheets for our main characters.
Ah, well, most of it's going to have to wait until I actually post pages - don't want to give away too much too soon - but it's for 'Razor's Edge', and I've decided that leaping straight into the action is the best way to start it. I've also added a couple of new characters, so get excited for some rather extreme sibling rivalry. And of course, new characters means new dynamics and new motives, which will pose a problem for our morally conflicted pack beta. What will he do? Hopefully he'll chose to remain loyal to his alpha... even if she's emotionally unstable and battling a volatile temper. She's been through a lot. She's allowed to break down a little bit.

Lemme just hurl my laptop into the sun because this draft is honestly a mess and this is one of those days where I don't know how to fix it.
Hey, » ѕнαdσω ⚔️, do you have any advice on turning a draft into something that's actually cohesive?
