Ooooh! That sounds like it's going to be pretty. Thank you very much! I just finished all the flat colors and I'm working on shading.

Thank ye! I've got one for each of my 'stories' (RtD is a work in progress still) that I plan to use as gallery icons once I eventually join Deviantart. They're actually really fun to make! Speaking of RtD, I couldn't bear to do any more study today, so I started working on the first chapter!
I can't wait to see when its done!

HERE T'IS! It will be resized later, but I like having it big, since you can see all of Storm's markings better. (Under A Cobalt Sky is the name of the series. Return to Dust is book one, so hopefully ill get around to writing the sequel one day, although it does work as a standalone as well)

Thanks! This has been my first serious attempt at drawing a tortoiseshell in.... years, so I'm really pleased with how it turned out! I'll have to post the whole set of icons together now XD I'll go and grab them...

@.@ What is 'tortoiseshell'? Never heard of this.
Shadowface shall forever be a calico in my book.

This 'tortoiseshell' I speak of is pretty much the bane of my artistic existence - aside from humans, of course - which is annoying because it's one of my favourite patterns, but I have barely any tortoiseshell characters (literally just Storm, Halfmask, Ridgefrost, [spoilers] and Mica, who barely counts because she's a tortie point) because I struggle to draw them :/
Calicoes are so much easier XD

I have...Skyfire. She's an old furrsona, actually. And that's about it...

I didn't know you had a fursona, Mint! Nice!

Several. They're just used for stories/drawings when I want to picture myself in one. Whitefire is one as well. Well, ex-fursona. She kinda adapted into an OC.

Ha, nice! I use mine for the exact same reason - just a stand in for myself because I can't draw people. My 'sona remained nameless and formless until very recently after I decided to completely redesign her a couple of years ago. After then, I could never find a design (or species) that seemed to fit me, but about a month ago it hit me.
As I promised above, here are the 'icons' for all my various stories that I'm working on, as well as my first attempt at creating 'blurbs' for them XD
After the premature death of her sister, fallen royal Lady Nefertiti is forced into exile and is desperate to avenge her, aided by a ragtag team of misfits. They are hopelessly unprepared, however, to face the world of gods and monsters they have stumbled into. Faced with a conspiracy stretching back generations, a psychotic undead ancestor and a bloodthirsty patron goddess, Nef must decide - and quickly - just what she is willing to sacrifice in the name of vengeance...
Swifteyes the Hunter deals in death and retribution. Captain of the Razor's Creek wolves, she is certain of the world and her place in it. When the secrets that her mother died to protect come to light, she finds herself without a home, without a unit, unprepared for the first time in her career. She sets out across the mountains in search of the humans who abandoned her with only one goal in mind; destroy those who took her life from her...
Blue is a reject, looking for a way out. Leo is an outcast, looking for a way in. Both have secrets. Leo knows the truth about what what lurks in the Colorado mountains. Blue knows who wanders the old roads at night, searching for something they won't find. Both have to learn to be careful what they wish for...
My mother once told me that everything comes from dust and one day will return to it... Stolen from his clan, he finds himself far beyond Clan borders, in a place where he can no longer see the sun. Shaped into a living weapon by the mysterious Overlord, Storm lives for one purpose; to destroy the clan he was forced to leave behind...
Everything attaining to myself, my friends and my life.
('The Runaway' is kind of the alias tag I use - its meant to tie in to the name I use on other social media sites (RunawayTimberwolf). It also just sounds cool. I have never actually run away before)

That. That exactly. Everyone has those beautiful books.
Funny, I just started rereading a book today and I've been RPing some characters from it and as I'm reading it I'm just chuckling at random. Because I can't wait to add some of it in the RP and also because it's funny.

I read this one author, and I must have read each of her books 30 times, yet I still read the entire series from start to finish every now and again. Its such a beautiful series about home and family, and the author has such a way with emotions - I tear up on several occasions because I relate so strongly to the characters.
Ooh, nice! What book?

Oh? Which series? Ghost Town by Rachel Caine (*looks a little embarrassed* Yeeeeah, it's vampires again). I'm also considering rereading Hanna's Suitcase, which is about WW2. It was heart wrenching, yet beautiful and I'd really like to revisit it. *eyes book case* Okay, I know I like mostly fantasy and Sci-fi, but I honestly have everything, in ever age group and genre, on that shelf. XD

It's called the Matilda Saga by Jackie French, an Australian author. I love it to death.
Vampires are cool. I'll have to look that series up. I'm always looking for new things to read!
I was never really into sci-fi as a kid. I was a fantasy nut, but I didn't really stray over into sci-fi. I jumped straight from fantasy/adventure to crime. Speaking of fantasy/adventure, I've been meaning to get my hands on some of the classics.

Um, I'll have to look it up! Morganville Vampire series. My avatar's fan art, ish, for it. ^^ More of just a headcannon for him. I loved fantasy, and from there, it got into fantasy/something. And from there, I just got into that 'something' without the fantasy. Crime, mystery, sci-fi, what-have-you. I'll read it all now. Hum, what classics do you want to get into?

Agreed - I'll read just about about everything, except straight out romance. For some reason I never really got into that.
Mostly Jules Verne stuff. My local bookstore does these gorgeous leather-bound editions that I've had my eye on.

If it has some cool sub-plots or something to Romance, I'll read it, but you may not be kissing 99.9% of the time, thank you. I will only give you so much slack, book. Oh, that sounds nice!

I don't think I've ever read any straight up romance books.... The closest I can get is Shiver by Maggie Steifvater, and I originally started reading that because there were wolves in it. While I enjoyed the romantic side of it, I was more in it for the intensity/mystery/werewolfism than anything else.

Morganville Vampires is Romance/Humor. Read it for the humor and Myrnin. Which is basically the same thing. I liked Shiver for the same reason!

Phew, this week ended up crazy busy, much busier than I foresaw. I had to focus on finalising/submitting my final English project (but thats all done now, so hooray for that!), then I ended up scripting the first few scenes of the comic (and sketching a page???) and THEN I had to measure all the bathroom furniture/towel racks and accompany family to the hardware store to purchase new ones, and to look for new shower doors since our current one is busted. So yeah, busy busy.
I did make progress on the chapter, though!
