Lucas had been talking to, well more of texting, Milo since they had met the night at the party. And today was the day they had decided to meet up again, at the local coffee shop. He was already there, sitting in a booth with a coffee in front of him. He had asked around the pack about the feeling he had felt when he first met Milo. He didn't give any details other than he met someone and he felt it. He didn't want to get himself in trouble. It turns out what he felt was a feeling from their goddess, Luna. A feeling given to any werewolf when they first lock eyes with their mate. Which was a bit of problem. First of all he was human, and second of all he was male. He could never bring a mate like that back to the pack. Well at least not his pack at least. He didn't exactly know what to do about it at the moment, but he did know that he couldn't go against Luna's will. So for now he would continue to talk to him and see where things go from there.

For now, the pack suspected nothing seriously off about Luna's choice for Lucas. Most of them had assumed she'd never give him a mate anyway. So, they were just excited that he'd met someone at all, but also disappointed when he didn't give detail. That was smart on Lucas' part though. Homosexual mates were usually booted down to the lowest ranks, if not killed, because the main purpose of a mate was to continue the pack. To reproduce, and two men or women couldn't exactly do that if they refused to be intimate with anyone else. And, Luna's choice for Lucas was a human on top of that, which was even worse. He couldn't hunt or fight with the pack. Wasn't as strong as a werewolf. The alpha of his pack basically ate people for every meal, and was the type who scared babies for fun. If he didn't eat the babies for dessert. And if he found out about Luna's pick, and Lucas with no intent to turn him, he would be furious. Milo was unaware of all the information, on his way to meet Lucas. He wasn't a werewolf, so he wasn't sent any feeling by a deity, that he knew of anyway. Perhaps she did, and he just wasn't aware. Walking into the coffee shop they decided to meet at, he looked around until he noticed Lucas sitting in a booth. Smiling softly, he walked over, greeting as he sat down "Hi, Lucas." A waitress had come to take his order, which he placed easily with having been there many times before. After settling into the seat across from Lucas, Milo watched the waitress leave for a moment before turning back to him. "Sorry that I'm a little late," he apologized "I had something I needed to take care of first."

Lucas noticed someone out of the corner of his eye walking up to the table, so he looked up and smiled upon seeing that it was Milo. He watched him as he sat down at the table with him. "Hey, Milo. It's nice to see you again." he said as he looked across the table at him. "And you aren't too late, I've only been sitting here for a few minutes." he said in response to his apology. He had only been there long enough to order himself a coffee, so he didn't mind that he was a little late. It did have him a little worried that he wouldn't show, but here he was so he had no need to worry anymore.

Milo smiled gently when Lucas spoke to him, also feeling relief when told that he wasn't that late. "Well," he said "At least I didn't keep you waiting to long." After a moment of quiet, he asked "So, how has your day been so far?" It was a little past two, so they'd had some time to themselves before meeting up. He made sure to ask a simple question though, just to attempt a start at conversation, happy to actually be in presence of Lucas again. And, he had no shame in admitting that he rushed a little through his tasks up until leaving to come to the coffee shop.

Lucas took a sip of his coffee in the short silence between them. "My day has been okay so far." he said with a nod as he set his cup back down on the table. "I slept in most of my morning, since I stay up late. Then didn't really do much until coming here." he explained to him. He slept in most days if he didn't have to do anything in the morning. That was the only way for him to really get any sleep since he stayed up pretty late most days to help out the pack. "What about you? How has your day been?" he asked him.

Milo withheld response for a moment when his own order came in, taking the hot cup of coffee from the waitress gratefully. After taking a sip of the warm liquid, he answered "At least nothing bad happened, even if you didn't get to do much. My day's been well enough. A little busy the past few hours, but otherwise okay." Looking down at his coffee, he'd grown quiet for a moment before continuing with a slight blush "I will admit though, that I was looking forward to seeing you." Talking with Lucas again was much more appealing than going about familiar routines and chores at his house. And, he assumed Lucas also saw some appeal in seeing Milo again as well, seeing as he bothered to even show up.

Lucas was grateful that nothing bad has happened yet today, with the pack that is. If there was a problem he would have been called in and would gave missed his meeting with Milo. And he didn't want that. "You were?" he asked in response to him saying that he was looking forward to seeing him again. He didn't realize Milo felt that way. But now that he thought about it, he felt the same way too, despite all the problems a relationship with him could bring. "I, uh, was looking forward to see you again too." he admitted as he looked down at the table and a slight blush rose to his cheeks.

Milo nodded, still blushing. However, the pink on his cheeks turned red when Lucas admitted that he had been looking forward to seeing Milo as well. He briefly wondered what it would be like to be in a relationship with the man sitting across from him. Before his thoughts could stray too much, he blinked a few times to push the thoughts aside, saying in response "Really? Well, that makes this meeting a win-win then, since we both want to see each other." Perhaps they could, maybe, had somewhere after the coffee shop. As friends.

Lucas watched his reaction, noticing how his cheeks reddened more and he actually found it kind of cute. He pushed the thought away. He shouldn't be having such thoughts about him yet, they had only just met and as far as he knew they were just friends. "Yeah, I guess it does." Lucas said to him with a smile. He then picked up his coffee and finished off what he had left in the cup. He caught the waitress as she passed and asked for a refill. He might as well get himself more coffee while they were sitting here talking. "So, since we only just met and I don't really know too much about you. How about you tell me more about yourself." he said to try to continue the conversation.

Milo blinked once when Lucas invited him to say more about himself. Taking another sip of his coffee, he was quiet for a minute before answering "Well, I live in an apartment, alone except for my dog. I make decent money doing photography wherever I'm called, and a hobby of mine is painting too. I've also traveled out of country a few times." It was a simple few facts about him, being he wasn't the biggest party animal anyway. Still, he enjoyed it and that was what mattered. "What about you?" he asked curiously "How about you tell me about yourself too?"

Lucas nodded as he listened to him, interested in hearing more things about the man that was supposedly his mate. It was a good thing that he liked dogs since he was in the literal sense a dog person. And it was only fair that he said something about himself since Milo shared somethings about himself. "Okay, well unlike you I don't live alone, I share a place with a few friends and some family. And I don't really have a job either, but I do spend most of my time helping out with the family business." If you would call helping the pack a family business, but he needed it to sound normal and believable. He couldn't just come out and tell him he was a werewolf.

Milo looked no less than interested as Lucas explained a little bit about himself as well. "Family business?" He spoke curiously "Well, at least you're getting to be around your family a lot still, working with them." Milo's family didn't exactly tag along for his jobs. Only thinking about it for a moment, he continued "Good to hear you seem to have a steady life going. I hope I'm not taking time away from them?" Perhaps Lucas was supposed to be with his family, and he had to disappoint them or something when told that he was coming to meet up with Milo.

Well being around family all the time wasn't exactly the best thing in the world, especially with a strict family like his own, but he should consider himself lucky to have them. "Oh no, you're fine. They didn't need me around to help out today, so it's okay." he reassured him. He actually hadn't told anyone where he was going when he left to meet up with him. He wasn't needed to help out with the pack so he just kind of left. And even if he told anyone he would lie about, meeting up with a human would sound suspicious.

Milo smiled in relief that he wasn't keeping Lucas from anything. Finishing off his coffee, he looked down at the cup, accepting a refill when their waitress passed by. His blue eyes looked over at the other man, watching him a little curiously as he asked "Well, since you're not busy at the moment, would you mind taking a walk with me after this?" Perhaps they could find something else to do to entertain themselves, not that he didn't like their current setting. He just wanted to enjoy as much time as he could with Lucas for some reason.

Lucas picked up his coffee and took a sip, looking across the table at Milo when he asked his question. "I wouldn't mind at all, I could go for a walk." he said to him with a smile as he set his coffee back down on the table. He wouldn't mind spending a little more time with Milo, hopefully he wouldn't see anyone that he knows. It wouldn't be good if another werewolf saw him hanging out with a human. He would just have to be a little careful while they are out.

Milo remained happy when Lucas agreed to go on a walk with him after they were done at the coffee shop. Taking a drink of his own coffee, he spoke after setting the cup down "Great. Well, we can head out once we're done here then." Unlike Lucas, he didn't have any risks going on a walk with the other man. No fear or nervousness either, given he wasn't aware of what Lucas actually was, whether he was going to hurt Milo or not. The worst thing that he expected to happen during their meeting was that one of them would have to leave sooner than they'd planned.

"Okay, sounds like a good plan." Lucas said with a nod then picked up his coffee and finished out what he had left so they could get going and go for their walk. "I'm ready to go whenever you are." he said to him as he set his empty mug down on the table which the waitress took away as she passed. He leaned his elbows and watched Milo from across the table as he waited for him.

"Alright," Milo said with a nod "I'm almost done anyway." So there wouldn't be too long of a wait as he downed the rest of the hot drink, yet he took his time. He finished his coffee soon enough though, setting the empty cup down, the cup soon being collected as well. Glancing around for a moment, he then looked back at Lucas to say "I'm ready to go." He felt another little bout of excitement, even though they were simply going to go on a walk.

Lucas nodded and looked around the small coffee shop as he waited for him to finish. He looked back to him when he said he was ready. He made sure everything was paid for and left a tip for the waitress that took care of them before standing up from the table. "Alright, let's go." he said to Milo and waited for him before he made his way out of the shop. Hopefully this would turn out to be a nice walk between them.

Milo got up and followed after Lucas, walking beside him as they left the coffee shop. It had been nice to just sit there and talk for a while though. Once they are back outside, he blinked a few times before just picking a direction to walk, not having anywhere in particular he wanted to go for the time being. Just having Lucas around was enough. "Where's got favourite place to go in the city?" he asked curiously, glancing over.

Lucas walked out of the shop with Milo then glanced around when they stepped outside. He then looked back to Milo and followed beside him as he started to walk. "Well I like to go to the park, but not the main part of the park. I like walking the back trails in the more wooded areas. They are basically hiking trails and go on for miles." he explained to him. Hopefully Milo wouldn't want to go, because some of the other werewolves liked going back there as well. "Where is your favorite part in the city?" he asked him the same question.

Milo was tempted to ask about going to the park, but chickened out for some reason. When Lucas asked him the same question, he thought for a moment. "Hmm..." he finally responded "I would have to say the library a few miles west. It's quiet, let's me think and there's tons of things to read." The park was a nice place to go as well, peaceful there most of the time. "I would suggest going to the park," he voiced his earlier thoughts "But you've been there tons of times if it's your favorite place to be."

Lucas nodded at his response. He can't say that he has been to the library within the city, but he isn't exactly a person that reads too much. He didn't really have the time for it and he felt like a lot of books didn't really peak his interests. He glanced up at Milo when he brought up going to the park. "Yeah, I have been there plenty of times, so I would rather go somewhere else." he said to him, glad that Milo kind of gave him the excuse on why they shouldn't go there.
