As in regarding to the term globalization that we use in real life. Globalization has many definitions and is very broad, but it generally means sharing ideas and resources as well as an increase in interaction between people across borders.
Right now the clans are basically the opposite, and follow more along the lines of Localization. Whatever they have in their territory is theirs and if they don't have something it's hard to get it from someone else. Borders are not only secure but rarely let anyone in, let alone let anyone in permanently or for a long period of time. Each clan abides by and obeys their own culture- a WindClan cat acts like a WindClan cat, a ShadowClan cat acts like a ShadowClan cat, ect. Of course there are and have been exceptions, but nothing permanent or long-lasting.
Firestar- probably the most globalistic leader they've had- was rejected over and over again, and once he died the ideas that weren't passed on to Bramblestar died with him.
But anyways, so I was wondering what if the clans weakened their borders and more easily traveled between clans? What if they more easily shared prey during the winter? What if they even allowed cats from other clans to either temporarily stay with or even join them more easily?
I think it would be pretty interesting. It would mean that the Warrior Code would have to be flipped onto its head, but hey, that would be interesting too.
For one, I think the clans would become less hostile with each other. As more cats join different clans, they would start to become more accepting of each other due to natural and familial ties strengthening, and the clans would help each other survive by sharing prey. Speaking of prey, as a result of sharing food they might get used to a variety of foods. WindClan cats might no longer cringe at the smell of fish, ThunderClan cats might get used to eating frogs, and other examples like that.
However like we see today, I think a lot of issues might come up as a result of it as well. Some clan cats might openly reject it and fear that their cultures and lifestyles might become in danger, and for all we know a clan or two might disappear entirely. If WindClan and ShadowClan were not to accept food from other clans, and borders were to open, their clanmates might quickly move to the more prey-rich clans of RiverClan and ThunderClan and before long their clans will lose all their members. Maybe there will be a massive backlash and the whole thing will fail entirely with a bunch of wars breaking out.
But yeah, it's fun to imagine what would happen.

the books would become less and less popular. Fans read for the battle of survival, The tension between clans, Arrogant leaders, and The spiritual and government structures. it is all arranged neatly for one reason, To provide a simple way of life, Something for them to follow. Is it always followed, No, because that creates plot lines and sub-plot lines. If the clans "Globalized" basically meaning the clans share there beliefs and customs, Then the clan to clan drama would die out meaning they would just have groups or one clan. What would they call that clan? Earthclan? That sound stupid (No offense) So that would be very unlikely on logical standings. I will list reasons why it would be unlikely and unreasonable. - The leaders would not stand for it, Maybe Bramblestar but eh don't know. With all the drama between him and Rowanstar about Violetkit, who knows. If Squirreltail becomes leader her sarcastic personality and her will to defend her honor and clan, she would not stand for it.
Harestar Might NOT let windclan take other clan's customs. He was Onestars deputy for starclans sake! Onestar didn't like relying on any other clans. Mistystar might be up for it but she would want to prove otherwise as she still is tainted with half-clan blood. - Reason number two. STARCLAN WOULD HATE IT Starclan talked about invisible borders in starclan and how they see no borders blah blah blah.... but shadowclan starclan cats would not like Thunerclan starclan cats, At least the old ones. They used to belief in every clan for them selves

I'm just gonna skip over the whole Squirreltail thing? I don't think you quite understand what @wnterheart was trying to put across. I don't think they exactly meant combining clans or anything so drastic; just toning down the wars and stuff - kind of how medicine cats work. The Clans already follow and share the same beliefs and customs. They wouldn't be getting rid of the Code; just changing it to be a little more forgiving... Harestar didn't agree with Onestar's leadership during TaS and SS. He helped Kestrelflight bring lungwort to ShadowClan, snuck Kestrelflight to the Moonpool, and publicly stood up against Onestar's rule. Just because you're the deputy doesn't mean you completely agree with everything the leader says and does. And yes, the whole point of StarClan is that there are no borders. No arguments between Clans; every cat can be with whoever they want. It's just hunting in the perfect territory of their liking.

There would certainly be less fighting, which would honestly cause me to lose interest. Tensions and fights make the series interesting. I think it's possible that it could cause cats like Firestar to be less loyal to strictly their own Clan, and more loyal towards all the Clans as whole, if Clans socialized more often, because young apprentices would probably make a lot of friends. Different behaviors make the Clans unique. I'd prefer if they didn't globalized honestly.

brindlewing Oh I agree with you, this totally won't happen and even if it did people would stop reading Warriors, I was just bringing the topic up just for fun. This was all hypothetical. Tas Yeah I do think the most the books would ever do is just chill, I think. WindClan could possibly throw away their grudge against ThunderClan, ShadowClan might go back to the relaxed days with Dawnstar, ect. Snowfire Yeah I agree, while I think it would be cool at first, it would get boring really quickly.
