another forum that i frequent had a thread about this, so i figured i may as well post my reply here too. plus i'm curious to see what y'all carry around :^) I don't bring my Kate Spade to work because I work with food and drinks. My "money" bag (I'm a waitress okay), my "misc" bag (which contains ibuprofen, tampons, and bandaids), my cigarettes and lighter, my lipstick, my deodorant (I spelt it wrong oops), and my masking spray all stay in my work bag. My wallet and earbuds go back and forth.

Wallet, pen, chapstick, folding brush, fingernail clippers, fingernail file/knife (it has both that flip out like a pocket knife), tweezers, eye drops, cell phone, ziploc bag (I take one clorox wipe daily to work to wipe everything down, I can't leave the can at work because then everyone would use them and I'm not paying for that), little pill can with 2 days worth of my meds in it in case I get snowed in at work, asprin, folding sewing scissors, neosporin, mace, 2 bandaids, 2 cold eeze drops, 2 cold medicine pills, CVS card, library card, 2 barrettes, eyeglasses screwdriver, necklace, mini sewing kit, spare earring (one large and one small, just to last until I can get home to replace it), and a piece of paper with my manager's phone numbers on it (I REFUSE to save their numbers in my phone, for fear that I will accidentally send a text not meant for them in error and get myself in trouble).
Seems like a lot, but the bag is actually pretty small. I can't wait until my mom finishes sewing my new one (that was supposed to be my Christmas gift) because then my Kindle will fit in it also.

a notebook + pens/pencils/rubber calculator (yes, I carry a calculator with me everywhere I go. it's proved very useful) my kindle painkillers and other meds bottle of water feminine hygiene products a mini first aid kit umbrella a pouch with makeup, a hairbrush, tweezers, a nail file, mini lint roller, etc
and then on top of that whatever I need while running this particular errand. usually my phone, wallet and something else specific to whatever I'm doing. it actually all fits rather nicely in just my usual tote bag which is surprising when you look at the list like this

Wallet, keys, phone and earbuds, a brush to clean my earbuds, pens, candy stash, eyeliner pencil, garbage. I should probably put some emergency pads or whatnot in there, either for practical use or to throw at any weak boys and gross them out. Good idea.
