Do you have anything special you do to calm your nerves?
I personally use drawing, storytelling, and meditating. Even writing bad stories calm my nerves. I'm constantly writing fairytales, folklore, etc, all because it helps calm my nerves and I love doing it. Drawing is my passion, it's the easiest way to calm myself down and release my emotions. Even just doing doodles helps, even if it is just a little. Meditating goes more like this for me, listening to rainfall or a snowstorm (even on my phone), lighting some candles, getting cozy in a blanket in my bed and just listening, and imagining myself in the most calming place I can think. That's what calms me down.

For me it's putting in my earbuds and listening to my music, most often get Scared or Breaking Benjamin songs. If I can drown out the world with my music then I'm happy.

I actually love baking sweets whenever I'm stressed/nervous. It's therapeutic somehow to mix things together, and then get to watch stuff rise in the oven knowing you prepared it from scratch. It just, makes me feel good somehow, like I've contributed something

Whenever my anxiety spikes, I impulsively just start doodling, even if it's in the middle of class. If there's no paper, I'll just start doing it on the desk. It distracts me for a short amount of time. If my brain's being especially loud, though, then familiar/nostalgic music does the trick.

last summer when things Went Down and i was super upset and stressed and probably in the worst emotional state ive ever been in, i just watched cake decorating videos lmao but it helped until i calmed down and i watched them for a few days afterwards until i felt a little better
nowadays i like to take walks every day after dinner by myself and its good to just be alone for like 20 minutes. if its nighttime ill just take a blanket on the grass and lie there with my dog or something

honestly, just sitting down, taking a deep breath, and rationalizing the issue and how I'd go about fixing it/establishing contingency plans. part of being analytically minded, i suppose, always looking for the "solution"
also listening to cinemantic-esque tracks like Two Steps From Hell

Scented candles (cranberry scented is the most soothing to me) and ASMR videos. Tea helps sometimes too.

now that i think abt it i guess i...don't have any form of therapy. if i feel really super bad i usually turn my phone off & ride it out alone until i fall asleep or give up. sometimes i also whine a bunch on here or on discord

Writing, always. Depending on what's wrong, texting my best friend might help, but there are certain things I don't really go to him with because I don't want him to see me when I'm a total mess, lmao.

Anything productive. Just the feeling of accomplishment in doing something that I know needs to be done makes me feel better, whether it be straightening up the house, mowing the grass, fixing something that's broken, etc. Makes me feel like my existence isn't completely pointless.

i draw, sleep if i can, and i write stories that are arguably bad. i listen to those chill radios on youtube, they really help when you need to calm down/block something out/whatever your purpose may be.

Either listening to music, specifically Dear Evan Hansen, or signing random songs in the ASL alphabet. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As ridiculous as it sounds, watching NCIS is what calms my anxiety instantly. My fiance picked up on it, and when I am starting to get upset he doesn't even say anything, he just gets me into bed and turns on Netflix. I've started painting again recently, and writing as well.

What I do to calm myself down, especially if my anxiety decides to act up randomly, is to just draw, write, or just anything else creative and easy. It may not completely help, but it still distracts me enough to where I slowly but surely calm down.

Either praying or listening to music, though when I'm praying it's more of a meditative prayer where I stop everything I'm doing and close my eyes, though I do talk.

Besides the counseling I get, if I'm not where I can cope very well, I will start stimming and tensing my muscles to relieve anxiety. When I'm truly by myself away from the public, I relieve stress by singing, drawing, and watching videos.
