(Okay so the original rp was going to be two girls, but you can play a male character if you prefer. The only information really decided is where the houses are. One is a north sider and the other is a south sider. Oh an they're both like 17, but that isn't a real requirement. I'll find my skeleton for this so you can fill it out!)

The slender brunette wiggled into her torn skinny jeans, picking at the frayed edges a little, then slipped on a Three Days Grace shirt and her usual black chunky sweater. Ronnie looked herself over in the mirror, then added some black eyeliner on her waterline and a quick brush of mascara. Running her fingers through her wavy dark brown hair, then pulled on her gray beanie and decided it was good enough. She didn't really care what these north siders thought anymore. They all made it obvious that they didn't want her there and that she didn't belong. Playing with the hole in the bottom of her sweater she sighed. Ronnie hated that she was forced to go to North High by her father just because of her grades. Walking down the broken steps on the front of her house she began her mile long walk to school, since the school refused to send a bus over the tracks she had to have "her own transportation" and since they didn't own a car she walked. Maybe she should be grateful, but when everyone stares at you because you wear clothes from goodwill and hand me downs instead of name brands it gets very annoying very quickly. Ronnie tightened the laces on her black converse and grumbled at the dirty laces, wiping the mud on the side of her jeans, not really caring anymore. "I just need to graduate and get out of here." Once at school Ronnie headed to her locker and put her messenger bag inside and scooped out the books she needed for her AP Literature and AP Calculus classes. A few football players walked behind her. "Hey Veronica have you every stabbed someone?" They called, their usual banter annoying her more than usual. Closing her eyes, her grip tightening on the locker before turning and giving them a dark smirk. "No, but I'm willing to gut you like a fish if you don't get lost." Their eyes widened a little as she added, "It's Ronnie not Veronica, so shut up and get lost. Before I do take my knife to you and show everyone how gutless you really are." Flipping her hair she turned and walked off to class. Someone would probably report her for threatening a student, or they might not because they were too afraid of her, it really could go either way, but today she was in an extra bad mood, so it would be safer for the idiots to steer clear.

School had always been something Jamie liked, as it was one of the very few activities she could go to without either an interrogation from the housekeeper or a plot to sneak out that would make Houdini proud. Of course, that didn't mean that said housekeeper wouldn't insist upon shouting up the stairs for her to come down for breakfast several times over the course of 5 minutes despite the fact that she was far from running late. At least she didn't have to set an alarm clock anymore. Pulling on a pair of khakis and an equally neutral t-shirt, she gave her outfit a quick look over in the mirror. Perfect. Just like the star of a big adventure movie. Or maybe a rogue Target employee. With the image of the only adventure her outfit conveying being flight from a parking lot, she changed into a pair of jeans instead, plucking her patch-covered jacket from the closet. It was with slight dismay that she found a hole had begun to form in the wooly lining, now flattened to an implied texture with use. She resolved to patch it after school.
With the smell of bacon came yet another call for her to come downstairs, which she actually bothered to reply to this time with a quick 'Ok, I'm coming!'. Slinging her canvas bag over one shoulder, she headed down and was greeted by a neatly made breakfast sandwich, as well as the scowl of the housekeeper. After 2 years of never seeing the housekeeper smile, she was almost certain the scowl was permanently affixed to her face. Sitting down to have breakfast, she was barely through the first bite when the housekeeper spoke up. "Don't forget, I wasn't you home no less than half an hour after school lets out. That should give you plenty of time if you take your car. Do you understand?"
"Yes mom." Jamie replied sarcastically, putting a hand over her mouth to avoid spitting bits of english muffin. In return she got the 'you'd better bite your tongue now or you're in for one heck of a lecture' glare. Wrapping the remainder of her breakfast in a napkin, she left, her appetite depleted by the housekeeper's watchful presence. The niceness of the day worked to life her spirits though, for it meant she could take her motorbike.
Though the school was only about a mile away and she was well on the bus route, she never missed an opportunity to take the small tour bike out for a ride. Parking it next to the bike rack, she headed into the school. She was swiftly reprimanded by two cheerleaders who flanked her like buzzards in makeup. Unfortunately for her, being wealthy wasn't enough to keep her off the radar of these particular teens, for they hated anyone who wasn't exactly like them and unpleasantness ran through their veins. The one on her right gave her a quick look over and shook her head. "I knew you'd given up finding anything fashionable with your height, but I didn't think you'd resort to this." Stepping up the pace a bit, she tried to out-walk them but they stuck next to her, keeping her blocked in on both sides. "I have some bedsheets that are about your size. You could try them on if you'd like."
"I have to go to class." She muttered, trying not to let them get to her as she pushed past them, booking for her next class, but not without serenades of 'Oh no, looks like the jolly green giant isn't so jolly anymore!' called after her with a chorus of cackling. Turning into the near empty room as school had yet to start, she took her seat by the window, safe at last.

Locating her first room was easy, it was the room everyone loved to avoid, AP Calculus. Pushing her chopped bangs from her eyes the seventeen-year-old opened her textbook and flipped to today's lesson. Studying ahead was a relaxing mechanism for her. It was one of the few ways she felt safe there. If she kept straight As the school would want to keep her, even if she made the occasional threat to a thick-headed boy. Flipping through the pages she glanced at the practice problems and began writing them out in her notepad. Every few seconds her bangs fell free of her beanie and into her eyes, causing her to push them up again, it was annoying, but she wanted to grow them out, refusing to cut her hair after an awful bob her father had forced her into.
The sound of footsteps in the classroom made her glance up. A girl, dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, with a patched up jacket. Veronica could not remember her name, but they had a few classes together and it seemed as if they were both the wrong end of a joke. However, Ronnie did not speak to her, even though she wanted to some times. She found it easier to not have friends in this place. It wasn't as if any of these rich kids would invite her over without wanting to check her pockets to make sure she didn't steal the silver or something stupid like that. Tugging at the shirt under her oversized sweater she made sure the snake tattoo on her collarbone was covered. Veronica couldn't risk that ever being seen, or it would end her career at North High.
The cackling in the hallway from the robot barbies made her scoff. "Pathetic." Ronnie muttered under her breath and flicked through to the next page of her textbook. It seemed someone had to always be their personal punching bag, on a day like today she was grateful it wasn't her. "Don't let it go to your heart. They're mindless tramps that will end up at deadend jobs, or with cheating husbands, sometimes both. It really just depends. At least you have a real personality and only a year and a half left." Veronica lifted her eyes to look at the girl a few seats ahead of her, but her gaze did not linger long as she returned it to her book, and said nothing more. That was more than Ronnie had said to anyone else all year, let alone in one sentence to one person.

Giving her calculus textbook a quick flip through, Jamie tried to get a look at today's lesson, but her lingering distress over the cheerleader's words left it hard to concentrate. She knew she shouldn't let them get to her. After all, they would still be there when she got out of class, maybe not this class but definitely another class, ready to fire the same old comments at her about her height, or her attire, or her interests. And then when she got home, the groundskeeper would be waiting with her rules and her lectures and she couldn't let that get to her either because it would always be there, just like the cheerleaders. Yet, as much as she told that to herself, it never cease to upset her. She resolved to talk to her parents about it, get them to take her on their travels again and go through her senior year in some far away country. It wasn't like she really had any ties here that would prevent her from going. The only ones who would mourn her leaving would be the cheerleaders and that's just because they would lose fodder for their taunts.
"Pathetic." The muttered word made her wince, for she thought it was directed her way, as if the girl behind her had read her thoughts. She tried to remember who sat there, too afraid to turn and face a new onslaught of mockery. Was it one of the cheerleaders? She didn't sound like a cheerleader and she'd never heard one of them use the word 'pathetic' but she didn't usually stick around long enough to find out the full extent of their vocabulary. The thought that it would be anyone else was even more upsetting, for it meant the need to pick fun at her had spread. It wasn't until the girl continued that she realized the word hadn't been for her, but for the cheerleaders, and it was then she turned to see who was speaking.
It was of some surprise to her to learn who the girl was. Though she did recognize her from a few other classes, her first thought had been that she was the South Side girl, a fellow subject of the school's mockery though for different reasons. She couldn't bring a name to mind, though she was sure she'd heard it before, for she'd never really made any effort to interact with this girl. After all, being friends with another loner just gave the jerks more to work with, an self-preservation tactic she admitted to herself with no small bit of guilt. After all, she got way worse taunts than Jamie had ever been subject to, yet Jamie had never even thought of trying to talk to her, yet here the girl was, trying to reassure her. Lowering her gaze to the floor, she said, "I should be the one saying that to you. I hear what they say, they're truly awful people. You don't deserve that." Deciding that now was a good of a time as ever to get to know this girl a bit better, she got up and sat in the desk next to her's, sticking out her hand. "I'm Jamie by the way."

The girl flipped a page in her textbook and listened to the hustle and bustle of the students in the hallways. There were only a few more that belonged in this classroom but they wouldn’t come in until there were only a few minutes before class. The voice of the girl in front of her brought Veronica back out of her textbook to listen. Her grey blue eyes scanned over the girl slowly. “Its fine. They don’t bother me that much. Honestly spend one day at South High. This banter and teasing is like a playground compared to back home. “ Veronica shrugs then doesn’t turn back to her textbook. It seemed that the girl wanted to hold a whole conversation. That is something that Ronnie had not done with anyone else since she had arrived halfway through Sophomore year.
Ah. So her name was Jamie, Veronica tried to store that in her mind, in case the girl tried speaking to her again later. “Ronnie.” The south sider offered up, then glanced towards the door to make sure no one was coming in. “I would say it’s a pleasure, but I don’t want some fake reciprocation to placate me. “Veronica shrugged, flipping her hair over her shoulder to give herself access to her neck so she could rub a stiff muscle. “You’re definitely better than the rest of the people here, so don’t let them hurt you. In a few years when you have escaped this tiny town and have gone off to college anything you hear here will mean absolutely nothing and you’ll wonder why it even bothered you before. “
She shifted in her seat a little. “Jamie you just have to stand up for yourself. If they know it bothers you they’ll keep at it, but if they think you’re bored they lose the thrill in picking at you and they’ll eventually stop. “ her voice trailed off as someone came into the room. Veronica’s eyes returned to her textbook and practice problems. The next 45 minutes couldn’t be over soon enough so she could get to AP Literature, something she enjoyed far more than math. Veronica loved learning and writing, but she always ended up in groups and no one wanted the south side charity case in their group.

"Ronnie..." Jamie repeated quietly, committing the name to memory. It wouldn't be too hard, it was a name she'd never really heard before and with few other names she needed to remember, it was hard to forget the couple she decided to do so with. She wanted to follow up with 'pleasure to meet you' as it really was a pleasure and she appreciated the fact that Ronnie was willing to show her kindness in the cruelty that was high school, but after what the other girl had said she feared sounding insincere. So instead she settled with looking up at Ronnie once more, listening intently on what she had to say. She couldn't help but smile at the mention of escaping Hudson and realizing how little the taunts meant. After all, she'd traveled the world and now here she was, getting hung up on the little stuff in a small town. Leaning forward with a new resolve, she replied, "You know what, you're right. What they say really doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things, now does it?" She grinned at Ronnie and added, "Besides, now I know someone way better than all of them." As the rest of the class began to trickle into the room, she stood to rejoin her textbook, but paused, turning back to the other girl. "Oh, and it really was nice to meet you Ronnie." And she really meant it. Sitting back at her desk and unpacking a notebook, she found herself no longer worried about what leaving class would bring, for though she wasn't sure if Ronnie would return the sentiment, she really felt that she'd made a friend.

Jamie's words remained in the air as she agreed with her and still spoke the pleasantry Ronnie had just mocked. Even though Veronica believed that being pleased to meet someone had essentially lost all meaning because it was used almost as frequently as hello or good bye, a smile tugged onto her lips and she slid down a little in her seat. The smile wasn't some big grin, just a small thing, but even that was a big step for her. Maybe she really could have friends, or at least one. Part of her wanted to protect this girl from the harshness that would come with associating herself with a south sider, but part of her wanted to be selfish and have a friend.
Class went by quickly, with few incidents. A few threatening notes were tossed on her desk from the only guy in the class. Her eyes did not even glance at the pieces of paper. Once the 45 minutes were up she carried all of the folded squares to the trash can and tossed them out into the basket as she left the room, not even caring. Veronica could hear him let out some kind of frustrated grunt, but she paid him no mind. Her eyes landed on Jamie as she exited just ahead of her. Picking up her speed the girl fell in to walk beside her. "It was actually nice meeting you too Jamie." There was just something about Jamie that she couldn't quite shake. Something that ticked inside her when they spoke to each other. "I'll see you in Government." Veronica gave her a quick smile, then walked a little faster to get to her AP Literature class.
