but one soul lies anxious wide awake
"Birds are silent for the night, Cows turned in as daylight dies, But one soul lies anxious wide awake. For the witcher, brave and bold, Paid in coin of gold, He’ll chop and slice you, Cut and dice you. Eat. You. Up. Whole. Eat. You. Whole."

Kade Blackwoodthe Leader ✘ Male ✘ Thirty-one ✘ Heterosexual
Magical Specialty and Unique Skills: Kade has trained from the age of thirteen to master the art of ataima. His skills lie mostly in being the key communicator between all of the assassins. If they are on a mission, he can communicate with all of them whether or not they are in close proximity. His weakest area of study has always been dyerre. Oddly, given his specialty, he finds it nearly impossible to communicate with animals. He has a natural affinity for the element of fire, although his skill with ogge is also quite minimal. In combat, he relies mostly on his training with hand-to-hand combat.
Appearance: When asked to describe Kade, the first word that would likely come out of an assassin's mouth is "tall". He stands well above the average man, which considering he is required to have a level of stealth, this could be considered more of a weakness than a strength. Thankfully he has learned to manage his long body as much as is possible. He's athletic and well-muscled, but so are all of the assassins. He is usually clothed in the same black training gear he has used for the last seven or eight years. It has been resewn on several occasions, but it is what is most comfortable to Kade. Coloring wise, he is darker than many of his counterparts. It's rumored that his mother had family in south east asia, which explains his coffee-colored skin. That said, it is obvious that he is lacking in vitamin d due to spending the majority of daylight inside either sleeping or training (assassins usually work at night). His hair is inky black, and he keeps it quite short for convenience's sake. He has heavy brows of the same color, and they're often curved in a look of either amusement or annoyance. There are bits of silver already in his neatly trimmed facial hair, evidence of his stressful occupation. Although sometimes he is clean shaven. His eyes are a deep whiskey-brown with hints of amber. Facially, Kade is, well what you would expect. He has good bone structure although his cheeks are slightly sunken in, as are his eyes, from perpetual exhaustion. Kade's best feature? Depending on who you ask, it's a tie between his rare white smile and his long eyelashes.
Personality: Perhaps what makes Kade the most suited to be leader is his calming, reserved energy. He does not often lose his temper, but when he does it is always for good reason. He is patient with his fellow assassins even when they do not deserve his attention or sympathy. That isn't to say he is particularly kind. In fact, Kade quite famously does not hold back from making comments that border on critical, but these are meant to keep others in check rather than offend them. Of course assassins can usually take a bit of scolding. More often than not, Kade is merely a quiet presence on the edges of the room. He does not often make jokes or engage in meaningless conversation. Most of his humor is dry. Surprisingly, however, he might crack a smile at an absurd comment from one of his fellow assassins so long as it is unexpected enough. On another note, Kade would rattle off his weaknesses if one so much as asked. A few that he would touch on are his flawed use of certain types of magic, his inability at times to control the wildest members of the group, and his impossible vision of keeping each member of the guild alive. What he might not touch on, because he is rather sensitive about it, is that fact that every five or six days he is unable to leave his bed. He gets terrible migraines which healing can only momentarily alleviate. On these days, he must lie still with a wet towel over his eyes until the migraine passes.
History: Kade, like most assassins, was taken from an orphanage by Arturo when he showed an aptitude for magic. His background from there is mostly a blur. He knew his father had died before he could remember and that his mother was extremely poor. He does not even remember her name. When he joined the assassins, he was a quiet but dutiful boy whose main concern was his own survival. For the first three years he was merely trained, he was never sent on missions. Arturo, for all his flaws, was good about one thing and that was his policy on not sending children to do missions. Well, until he nearly lost his mind in his old age. He often sent Kade out as a thirteen year old because he was already quite desensitized to violence from his childhood. He was also thin, so he could fit through small windows if houses were locked from the inside. He was good with physical combat, but his magic came difficultly. Arturo wanted him to master tamir, as he had done, but Kade simply did not have a strong enough aptitude. A breakthrough in his training came when he was in his early twenties and he discovered his ability to communicate with more than one person at a time telepathically. From there he grew stronger, and he became a leader figure a few years after Arturo died.

Zehmira Westlynthe Vixen ✘ Female ✘ Twenty- three ✘ Bisexual
Magical Specialty and Unique Skills: Zehmira was one of the few to begin training before being recruited, so she has been practicing dyerre from the age of four. She can communicate fluently with any type of animal, and she has been able to successfully shapeshift on several occasions, although it was exhausting and she could only become a housecat. She is practicing this skill more, and hopes to become the first real assassin shapeshifter (meaning capable of shifting into any animal, not just a select few). Because she is so focused on dyerre, her other types of magic are extremely basic. She has an aptitude for air, and really her only skill is to create a blast strong enough to push an unbalanced person over. Ataima is difficult although she can form a telepathic connection with most of her fellow assassins. With tamir she is absolutely useless in every way. Sahte is only something she has begun to practice more recently, as Kade is trying to encourage each of them to become more well rounded. She has a knack for eavesdropping but the other skills are harder for her to acquire.
Appearance: It goes without saying, because of Zehmira's title, that she is a good looking woman. Some are simply born with features that are pleasing to the eye. Of course for her, her appearance is not just a lucky coincidence, it is an important aspect of her character and it informs many of her actions. She is well aware of the effect she has on people, and in her line of work it would be foolish not to take advantage of it. She almost exactly average height. Her build is lean but quite strong and most notably agile and flexible. She can slip easily through most difficult terrain. As far as attire goes, Zehmira on a usual day would wear what women of the time and setting most often wear: a dress. Assassin gear, especially on a woman, is not fit for venturing into public. If one wishes to blend in, one must look the part. Of course Zehmira doesn't care much for blending in, but for her that means something entirely different. After her attire, what a person would next notice about Zehmira is her hair. The color is of a rich golden. It tumbles to the middle of her back in large curls. making her as animated and deadly as Medusa herself. Facially, she looks as most fortunate women look. She has large, almond shaped eyes, a small nose, and lips on the fuller side. Her bone structure is feminine and angular, giving her an almost feline appearance.
Personality: Zehmira is one of the most manipulative humans to ever walk the earth. It is why her appearance is so imperative to note in regards to her as a person. It is what makes her capable of this great deception. It is what has made her vain and self-interested and incapable of genuine connection. But we'll get to the dark stuff later. To most, Zehmira is perceived as charming, bubbly, and perhaps quite vapid. She does not engage in philosophical discussion or ask how a person really is. She seemingly operates entirely on the surface level. She is funny and sometimes amusingly naïve. She often asks for help even when she doesn't need it, and she never likes to be alone. The deception comes from the fact, of course, that she is not nearly as naïve and unaware as she leads people to believe she is. It is all part of a complex façade she puts on. The reason for her behavior, as a perceptive person might not, is a sort of defense mechanism. Being an unwise but beautiful woman is the easiest thing to be. It means going unquestioned. She is liked instantly and beyond that she is not considered much but a beautiful face. And that, in many ways, makes her capable of a lot of things. Important men tell secret information to beautiful women as a way of impressing them. Of course this goes far beyond just her work. Zehmira puts on this mask for everyone she meets, and it isn't until she makes the mistake of unveiling her intellect that the façade is broken. It goes without saying that some of her fellow assassins dislike her disingenuous behavior. What it says about her ultimately, though, I think, is that living a fraudulent life can be just as isolating as the person who is doing the deceiving as it is for the person who is being deceived.

Mara Nydia Alfhild The Veteran ✘ Female ✘ 34 ✘ Heterosexual
Magical Specialty and Unique Skills: Mara's best ability is her training and practice with tamir. She primarily uses it to enhance the energies of her teammates, and does this by slowly taking away the energies of foes and targets. This makes her feel better since she can be a supporting member of any team that she is assigned on. Mara has a natural affinity for the ogge use of fire, given that she can use it to light dark alleys, communicate in light signals with the leader, and also put them out in order to keep herself in the dark. She strives to take practice in dverre, the most she is able to do is have decent conversations with most reptiles, but that's as far as her skills go. She has no need for ataima or sahte, and has a hard time in straining herself for her own personal enhancements with her mind and her own perceptions. She is more focused on trying to benefit the team instead of herself.
Appearance: At first glance, all that can be said about Mara is that she looks to be a graceful and mature woman. That is all she prefers people to think of her. She stands a little taller than most women her age, and like most assassins, she is extremely toned, fit, and very athletic in the first place. Her skin is of an African brown color, given that she is from the south, plus she has many scars and bruises on most of her body, save for her face. Her back is covered in silver tribal tattoos to show off her southern heritage to people closest to her. Most of the time, her dark brown eyes are narrowed and easily marked with black eyeliner, and defined with think eyelashes. Her eyebrows are shaped and relatively average, tending to be furrowed and mildly brooding. Her black hair, while it is long and silken, yet streaked with faint bits of silver, is kept pulled into a braid and then easily into a basic bun. That way, she maintains some form of youth and femininity, yet keeps a practical appearance. Her ears are a little odd, given that they have a shrange point to them, she likes to think that sprites took her away as a child and soon gave her back when they figured she wasn't much of an earth child. Most of the time, she is usually seen with dark tunics, sleek pants, and worn boots that are practically shaped to her feet. When given the opportunity, she will like to throw in lightweight steel armor to her wardrobe, given that she has a tendency to have run-ins and deals in close combat situations. If she ever gets the chance to deal with mundane tasks and go into the real world, she takes her time to dress like a proper lady, and keep herself looking nicely refined and groomed, and even have her hair unbound.

Ilai Fencarrowthe Second in Command ✘ Male ✘ Twenty-nine ✘ Pansexual
Magical Specialty and Unique Skills: From the age of ten, Ilai has trained for the mastery of sahte, and is able to - though still with limitations - enhance, alter, and deprive the senses of himself and of others close-by. In particular, he favours deception and manipulation by tricking the eyes and ears with illusions. He has always struggled to focus on trying to develop the other types of magic, and his skills in most others are barely beyond the basics even on a good day. However, he has a slightly more respectable if unrefined level of skill with ogge, and can use his affinity with the element of air fairly well when needed. In combat, he prefers to stay out of the thick of it if he can, but he's a good shot with a bow, and proficient with knives and daggers when it does come to close combat. He does of course have wider training, but personally finds anything larger quite unwieldy.
Appearance: With a five o' clock shadow, perpetual half-smile, and a slightly dishevelled look about him, Ilai's outward appearance perhaps gives a lot away about what's on the inside. His wavy, dark chestnut hair appears choppily cut, clearly maintained at a length shorter than it would otherwise be out of convenience rather than style. Above slightly oversized and rounded light grey eyes, he sports low, angular brows, and visible crease lines lightly mark his forehead. His heritage appears to be mixed, and while he has a medium olive skin tone, lack of much daytime activity has left it rather clear, untouched by the sun. He stands at an unremarkable 5ft 10, and the assassin's lifestyle has similarly yielded him the fit and athletic body necessary for the occupation.
Personality: Quick-minded and creative, Ilai makes for a brilliant strategist and tactician - if a rather eccentric one. His unreserved and generally easygoing way of dealing with other people gives him a certain likeability, although his patience and interest with other people can be unpredictable depending on the day. Additionally, for all his intelligence, Ilai isn't the best at getting to the point, and conversations of any real length with him tend to end up confusing and circular; there's a kind of intensity to him that doesn't always make him the easiest person to deal with. He suffers with insomnia and doesn't tend to manage it very well, often needing reminders not to overdo it. Nonetheless, as soon as you get to see his valuable skills, both in planning and his magic, in action, it becomes easy to see why he stands as Kade's right hand man.
History: Picked out from an orphanage at the age of ten, Ilai had showed his aptitude for magic - and particular inclination towards sahte - in how he used those very basic abilities in playing pranks and tricks in the orphanage. Though not really a troublemaker himself, he was easily encouraged into the commotion of others - which perhaps says a lot about he ended up in the life of an assassin. Although it was some time before he was actually taken out on any jobs, his flair for strategy and thorough planning was quickly discovered and well used even while he remained in training. Prior to being placed in the orphanage however, his parents were hunters (and he has their early training to thank for his archery skills), and he was part of a rather large family, with six siblings. His mother was killed in a hunting accident, and his father, ruined by grief, passed the children along to an aunt, who subsequently gave them up. The siblings were scattered, and needless to say Ilai has not had any contact with any of them since.

Vivienne "V" ParkThe Cynic ✘ Female ✘ Twenty-six ✘ Bisexual
Magical Specialty and Unique Skills: Vivienne, or, as she is more commonly referred to, V, has been specializing in the art of sahte since she was first recruited at the age of eleven. She uses sahte mostly to heighten her own senses and, on occasion, manipulate the vision or hearing of others. Her skills in this area are normally put into use for reconnaissance purposes, for scouting out areas and getting past guards. On various occasions, V has also taken it upon herself to manipulate the perception of certain targets to make them easier to dispose of. V has an aptitude for the earth element, but is able to do little else than cause minor, harmless earthquakes. A few times she managed to make a little crack in the ground, but overall, she's pretty useless with ogge.
Appearance: V is around what one would consider to be average height (okay, perhaps a bit on the shorter side, but don't tell her that). She certainly carries herself with an air of confidence, though at times it does seem as though she is purposely trying to make herself seem more intimidating than she might otherwise appear to be. Her hair, long enough to be kept back in a ponytail but not so long that it would become a distraction and a menace during work, was once black but has become lighter with time. Her skin, once fair, has taken on a bit of an olive hue and her eyes are dark brown, nearly black under dim lighting. Being in this line of business, it's nearly impossible not to be toned and fit and V is no exception to that rule. She prefers to go without makeup but may sometimes be seen with some eyeliner and mascara if she feels so inclined. Her wardrobe consists of very little color (pretty much none at all) and she's usually seen wearing all black, complete with skinny pants that fit into combat boots and those black chokers she's so fond of. Her choice of top changes according to the situation, but never strays from that staple black color. Although not always practical, as they could fall off easily, V also wears ear cuffs. She finds them cute and the fact that she hasn't yet lost one on the job just perpetuates her continuous usage of them. On the index finger of her left hand, V wears a black banded ring with some design plated onto it. It doesn't look like anything particularly special, but she refuses to go without it.
Personality: V's personality can be summed up in one word: blunt. She's not one for small talk, for beating around the bush, and her tongue has been known to get away from her: V's mind works fast, but her mouth is faster. As such, V is most commonly seen with her foot in her mouth (not that she's always in the mood to care). In most cases, she may not even know if she shouldn't have said something unless someone specifically points it out to her. And even then, she'd be hard-pressed to apologize. Well, she's hard-pressed to apologize for anything in general. Emotions and empathy are not her strong suit and her humor is mostly, if not always, dark and/or sarcastic. This doesn't get her a lot of brownie points with strangers and even with her comrades, it becomes a little concerning after a couple deadpan jokes. Perhaps her biggest flaw is a result of her detachment as well: she's prone to taking the liberty to do things without consulting or even communicating with the team. But she gets things done, right? Despite everything, despite her seeming uncaring and her tendency to withdraw, V is a reliable player and she remains loyal to those whom she considers herself close to. V may also appear to be lazy to those around her due to her allergy to this thing called "hard work." Not that she's not willing to put in the effort (most of the time), but she's constantly looking for shortcuts to get what she wants or accomplish what needs to be done.
History: V's story is a little bit absurd. She was a child of two Korean idols, born to be in the limelight, but fate is a strange thing. Her mother was an actress and her father was a singer and neither had wished for their child to become famous as they were. They didn't want her to go through the grueling training they had to go through to debut and even before she was born, they had agreed that if indeed their daughter wanted to become a singer or an actress, it would not be in Korea. But in wanting to keep their daughter away from the savagery of the entertainment industry, V's parents ended up unwittingly giving her a fate perhaps more cruel. They allowed her to study magic. It appeared that she had an aptitude for it, and her parents were proud, but not long after V was given access to a magic tutor of some sort, she disappeared. To this day, Min Jae-eun and Park Sejun have no idea where their first daughter went. Perhaps it was because she grew up seeing her parents on screen, hearing fans scream and reading obscene comments online. Perhaps it was because, despite her parents' attempts to shelter her, she was exposed to the harsh reality of what false allegations and unreasonable hate can do to a person, exposed to the fact that strangers who had never once spoken to her parents could act as if they had known them for years, exposed to just how much hate a person could harbor for someone they had never even met. Or perhaps V was born to be closed off and suspicious, born to be emotionally blunted. Whatever the case, her desensitization to the opinions of others and her refusal to become attached have helped her immensely in this line of work. In her mind, the world is an obnoxious, brutal place. She hates it. When she was first scouted to be an assassin, her first instinct was to feel hope -- maybe this is her chance to pay the world back for all the pain it's dealt to her family. V's always had an aptitude for sahte and for that, she considers herself blessed. If only she could make the whole world see the way that she does...but reality could never be that kind.

Jackson "Jack" Minettthe flirt ✘ male ✘ twenty-seven ✘ bisexual
Magical Specialty and Unique Skills: Jack has trained most of his life in the dyette section in magic, since as long as he could remember, he's been practicing his skills in this area of magic. He's gotten good with the ogge area of magic as well, having a nice specialty with the fire aptitude. Jack's gotten a specialty to talk to canines in particular, though just about any animal is fine. He's got a natural-born talent with the dyette magic as he's able to shift himself into the shape of a black stallion, which has taken him the past few (six) years of devotion to training for this, being a master of this area. Ataima is his weakest point in magic, not being the best of it and not really focusing too much on it. Jack's talent for dyette magic is what has had his focus so much, though ogge and bits of tamir have been a good section of his training, with dabbles and a few days here and there of sahte magic.
Appearance: Standing at 5'10" with a charming smile and dazzlingly bright smile that can light up the world, a beautiful laugh that seems to be contagious, Jack's got the persona that makes him look and seem like a wonderful person. His face is slender and triangular in shape with a smaller pointed point and almond shaped eyes. Shaggy, feathery soft brown hair the color of milk chocolate, lightly tanned fair skin that's colored from his being out in the sun for a good portion of time and a splash of soft freckles across his nose and cheeks, this twenty-seven year old's got quite the charming look to him. Sometimes, when training or such, he's able to pull his hair back into this very tiny, cute, almost, man-bun or ponytail to keep his hair out of his vision. Fit, well toned and muscled, he's got this charm that draws one in. But the thing that you most can notice about him is his beautiful different-colored eyes. Upon his left eye is an ocean blue color that seems to reflect the wild, untamed waters of the surrounding world. For the right eye is a beautiful, soft brown color that seems to reflect the gentle warm sweetness of milk chocolate. Long eyelashes grace those eyes of his and seem to amplify them, almost. He's got a bit of facial hair, though closely trimmed a very scratchy, light beard along his jaw. He has more of a Irish accent, however light it is. As for his common attire, he's often wearing nicer clothing, though he often wears the colors black and red. Under his clothing however, is where you begin to see past the flirty charmer that he is, having armor on almost all the time. An issue that he has, even in the occasion that he shape-shifts, is that his left arm has arthritis, to the point where he has to wear a special band around it to help the pressure and the muscles around his elbow. Another issue is having chronic pain, so some days are good and some days are bad, he just goes with the flow. He almost always seems to be wearing boots and you can often hear him before you see him in his casual-wear. Jack, despite this, tends to be extremely agile and is quick on his feet, despite not seeming to be. He's almost like a cat, climbing high places and jumping around from area to area with good balance. More often than not, you'll find him perched up high, probably taking a nap or carving a wooden figure. Having quite a few different families over the years, Jack has learned to speak Arabic, Irish Gaelic and Spanish decently. Not completely good at speaking it, besides the Spanish part, but he can understand it. His voice tone is about mid-ranged, maybe slightly lower, though the Irish accent counters too much of the lower range of his voice for it to be that noticeable. He's got a good singing voice, however, he does not sing around people and doesn't seem to enjoy music with that. He can draw people in by playing the guitar, but he will not sing around people. He completely refuses to for his own reasons. Good with knives (knife fighting and throwing knives) and sword-fighting alike, he seems to be well versed in many things. Archery is something he absolutely enjoys but anything over ten meters away he cannot hit, even if his life depended on it. Jack is... most definitely not an archer. Swordsman? Yes. Archer? Never in a million years.
Personality: A charmer and someone who you can generally talk to about anything, Jack is one of the warmest people you'll ever meet. Very laid-back, border-line lazy, he's a gentleman who's soft with his touch and sweet with his voice, a respectful guy that you can't help but smile with when he smiles. A selfless guy who will put his troubles aside to make time for you. If you need a shoulder to cry on, a ear to vent to, someone to just... listen to you, someone to tell about your day or tell about something new and exciting that you enjoy, that's Jack. He's an amazing listener and will sit there and listen to you with his signature smile, putting in comments here and there when needed. If you need someone to cry to, Jack's your man. Stubborn as a mule, however, once he puts his foot down he will drag his feet and will dig in his heels on an idea if you try to go against his mind. Jack will listen before deciding something, however, once he makes up his mind, that's that and there's no going back. He's more open about a lot of things, such has not having a preference over men nor women, which kind of makes him almost a little... weird in a sort of sense since most probably wouldn't be. But, not minding the attention being centered on him, he's the type to not really care. At least, on the outside. Most of the time, Jack seems like a iron fortress, there's nothing that can phase him or make him tick. Calm and just... almost always smiling. Flirting with everyone, making them laugh, seeming to enjoy your company. That's the frightening thing about him. You can't tell when he's annoyed, you can't tell when he's angry. When he's sad or upset. He's always seeming to laugh and smile. His temper is well tamed and unpredictable, making him seem like a ticking time bomb, almost. While he's a charmer, you say the wrong thing, he'll throw a gloved fist into your face and continue to talk and smile as if nothing happened. It's uncanny and frightening, in a sort of sense, to not get that grip of emotion from him. He's closed off showing most of his emotions, which makes it even worse on reading him. Having his condition with his arm and nerves across his body, however, Jack can hole himself up for a few days at a time or seem sluggish and tired due to it. His arm isn't the full thing that makes him seem sluggish rather his chronic pain that just... happens sometimes. He's able to ignore it most of the time or find a way to help soothe it, but some days he... just can't really move. And that's a thing that he's learned to deal with as well. Because if he's on a job, he can't just lay down and be unable to do it. Jack can do his job, but his focus will be on the job only. He'll be smiling, as always, but he'll be slow, sluggish and easily distracted from anything else but getting his job done. And that's usually when he disappears, after it's all said and done. Because he doesn't like being in pain around others. Which brings us to another area of his personality. No one can be happy or smile constantly. Not even Jack. He's not Superman or a special human that is always happy. He's actually constantly paranoid, easily scared and distrustful of people. Earning his full on trust is difficult, though rewarding. He's loyal as they come and will have your back when you need him to. Jack's not someone who can trust others easily and he's accepted that he's a bit darker in the sense that he can kill people without remorse. He's lost of bit of humanity in that way, being able to switch off the emotions that make him feel bad about killing someone. Sometimes even makes jokes about a kill, if provided the right timing. Jack is a bit of a prankster who has his fair share with humor, liking to bother and prank others to make the mood lighter. He's sarcastic and often sassy, though it usually doesn't undermine his laid-back nature. That's who he is; very laid-back, after all. But he can be quite sassy if provided the right person and in the right environment. While he seems like a big brother to all, Jack is pretty irresponsible and not the best person to leave to getting most tasks done. He's not very good at cooking at all and probably will give you charcoal instead of actual food. Another flew to him is that while he appears calm, a little too calm about things, Jack has one little tick to make him go from calm to panicking. Family. This little group is like a family to him and he's a bit attached to everyone. So if you want to make him panic, put one of them in a helpless life-threatening situation. Jack would rather risk himself than to see others go down. He's like a big brother to all, through and through. He will stand there and smile and take a blow for anyone if he possibly can, doing everything in his power to protect others.
History: Growing up, Jack had an Irish family, being with them until the age of three, not really understanding why his family was suddenly gone. The house he had been born it had gone up in flames and instead of scared, he was almost memorized by the flames. After that, he had been taken in by a Egyptian family, having a little sister soon after he was taken in. No father to call his own, he just had his mother and his little sister at the age of five, being five years older than the young girl. However, he found a man in his life whom was Spanish, often interacting with his new mother. This man was called Andres and had ended up training him extensively. Being in and out of his life for a while until he took Jack with him to a pub. Not just any pub, but the pub, the Donkey's Brew. He ended up practically living there at age ten, going to visit his sister and mother, Khadija and Zahra (respectively), Zahra knew what he was being trained for and made Khadija keep her distance from Jack, though he often still watched her or played with her in his free time. Having practicing magic with Zahra since he could walk and then training extensively with Andres, he grew up with a dangerously good set of skills with magic. Trained in his teen years by Andres, he grew more into a heartless, colder killer. For a good portion of time, he was cold and focused, completely serious, having been separated from Khadija for a long time. On his seventeenth birthday, however, he had ended up finding his little sister by accident, along with Zahra. The girl hadn't recognized her older brother due to the loss of gentleness to him. Zahra had forced him back under her house-hold for a long time after that and he regained his regular personalty, with a few... concerning tweeks. Like the inability to feel remorse for the loss of life or anything similar. And with the guild, this was a problem, considering he was to grow up to be an assassin. Zahra and Andres ended up fighting, much to the horror of both Khadija and Jack alike. The last words he heard from his mother was to take Khadija somewhere safe, away from the fighting. Which is exactly what he did, bringing her back to the village that he had originally been born in. He found someone to take her in and stayed there for a few days. Despite sending for Zahra, she never came by to pick Khadija up. Fearful for his little sister, he left her with the old couple that had taken them in and actually faked his own death, pretending to be washed away and drown in a river upon a stormy day, going back to the pub that had been his home for a long time. "Just promise that you'll always smile, okay? Smile for me! Jaaaaccckkkk! Smile! Smmiiillleee! You aren't smiling with your eyes! Jaacckk! Smile!" Between Andres and Zahra, he ended up having a mixture of both personalities he had developed with both. He was always the big brother that he wanted to be, even towards others. Laid-back to be nearly lazy, soft and gentle. Very protective. That was the person that he had become by the age of twenty. Having a close run-in with Khadija when he was twenty-one, he over-heard her conversation for having a wish for a black stallion horse. Six years later, he's able to shift into one. Coincidence? Most definitely not.

Arya Nila PaavaiThe Romani ✘ Female ✘ 24 ✘ Bisexual
Magical Specialty and Unique Skills: Arya has a natural aptitude for tamir. Although she dabbles in each area of magic she is strongest with tamir and finds changing the energies of people around her to be simple after extensive training. She's practiced rigorously to shift the energy of a room without putting much thought into it and finds her skill at sapping energy to come in handy when she would rather put innocent people in her way to sleep instead of killing them. She can transfer energy from one person to another, especially through touch, which is useful when a friend is injured. Arya also does well with sahte, she can eavesdrop easily and works well with modifying the sense of sound, but not much else. Her ability with ogge isn't strong, but she has some ability for water. Her dyerre is lacking, but sometimes she can communicate with certain birds.
Appearance: Arya is built like she was born to be an assassin. Her body type is angular and although she is slender, she is all lean muscle. Like the others, she is athletic and agile, but her flexibility is likely more developed than the others due to her background. She is also below average height at around 5'4" which makes her good for squeezing into small spaces or hiding in addition to being very light on her feet. Arya's skin is a deeper bronze hue and although smooth for the most part, she has her fair share of scars from her line of work, and various other mishaps. Her skin color is a result from her Southern Asia heritage, her mother being from England, but her father from India. Arya's hair is a dark chocolate brown that nearly appears black unless in the sunlight where she can rarely be found. Since she requires her hair to be out of her way, she chooses to wear it in a braid more frequently than down. If she does let it down, her thick hair falls to just below mid back. Her face can be described best as heart shaped with high and sharp cheek bones and brows on the thicker side. Long dark lashes frame her amber eyes. She is quite a pretty girl, but prefers not to be seen. Arya despises dresses greatly, she says they trap her beneath the fabric and she does not like the way they make her feel weak. The shoes she wears are a unique custom made slipper with coarse but flexible soles she uses for climbing and being absolutely silent. She wears dark colors most often and a hood over her head to disguise who she is. A quilted vest, tunic, and breeches are her usual attire.
Personality: Arya is a quiet girl when she first gets to know someone. She prefers to remain in the shadows and take in the people around her, that feels safer to her before she let's down any walls. Don't let her quiet nature fool you, Arya has plenty of thoughts and opinions she will vocalize when she finds her input to be necessary. She doesn't have a problem with killing, but she is morally unwavering and very religious. She isn't sure if what she does would be viewed as a disgrace in the eyes of her religion, but she still prays and offers proverbs in times of distress. Arya is incredibly loyal and once she decides someone is worthy of her friendship she will stick tight by their side and have their back no matter what. She is kindhearted and easy to confide in. Unlike most assassins she values truth and chooses to tell it more often than not. She is a suspicious person by nature and dislikes those who lie without cause. Arya hold her head high and can be incredibly stubborn and will not equivocate on what she feels is right. She is uncomfortable with certain social interactions and wishes she had the ability to be more outgoing. She also tends to take certain criticisms more personally than she would like and although she wouldn't show it, they feel like a blow to her pride. Arya fears weakness in herself, she does not like to be vulnerable. She is also deeply upset by crowds or small cells and being touched.
History: Arya's mother was a beloved woman who passed in childbirth. Her father would tell her plenty of stories of how much he and her mother loved each other and what made her mother so special. When Arya missed her mother he would remind her that she had her same eyes and kind smile and they shared a sweet tooth. She grew up with her father and his family who were part of a famous traveling caravan. Her mother and father were acrobats and since she was little her father trained her in balance and to master the art of the high wire. One evening after a performance near the sea, she snuck out after dark to see the ocean for herself. She found with enough concentration she could manipulate the waves that licked the shore, if only a little. Some sailors nearby took notice of her use in magic and snatched her away to stranger lands. Since then she was moved form person to person and place to place, having not seen her family or home since she was ten. It was then she learned other areas of magic she had talent with and served many people for various purposes, the most notable being her crafting of poisons. She knows the art better than any other and can tell herbs and remedies easily. By the age of thirteen she was found and taken into the Raven's Guild where she learned to hone in on her talent for potions and temir.

"The lone wolf dies, but the pack survives."
Rhynethe Secret Weapon ✘ Male ✘ Twenty-four ✘ Heterosexual
Magical Specialty and Unique Skills: Rhyne's aptitude with magic was vast, even at a young age, and it was part of the reason he was selected by Arturo to receive vigorous training in all magic specialties. Much to Arturo's delight, Rhyne showed great skill and potential with tamir, sahte and dyerre, and so it was those magic categories that Rhyne was schooled in. He's highly skilled in sahte and tamir, and often uses to former to paralyze the senses of his enemies by 'stealing' their sight, smell, hearing, touch, taste and the ability to speak, rendering them mute and defenseless. He often uses his abilities with tamir to cause spikes of pain in a person's pressure points, or render them totally unconscious with a particular strong strike. Rhyne is semi-skilled in dyerre, and can talk to a few animals with ease. He has the potential to expand his skill, however. He is more or less useless with ataima, and can usually only respond non-verbally to telepathic communications. While he has an affinity for earth, Rhyne does not use ogge magic much, if ever.
Appearance: Few words can accurately describe Rhyne, but the chiefest of the words that are relatively successful is feral. Although he looks, talks and walks like a human, there is something primal about Rhyne, a feral undertone that seems to flash in his golden eyes and buzz in his aura. Rhyne is relatively tall, standing over six-feet, and is built for his lifestyle. He's toned and fit, lean muscled and agile to allow him the speed and maneuverability to escape out of windows or other dangerous pathways when the need arises. He seems to have a feline-like build, lean and sleek, but still strong and able to hold his own. His face is built of rugged, yet smooth, lines, a straight, proud nose, average lips, and a strong chin. His eyes are what usually have people unsettled; they're a molten gold, akin to a wolf's or a large cat's, a blend of yellow and amber that combines to form a wild, primal coloring. The feral aspect that seems to surround Rhyne is only intensified by his gaze, which is often unblinking and unwavering. His shoulders are slightly broad, his hands are calloused from years of sword-fighting, and neatly trimmed beard and mustache line his jaw. His hair is black, punctuated by a few strands of gray and silver. His eyebrows are in proportion to the rest of his face, and his golden eyes are lined by dark eyelashes the same shade as his hair.
Personality: Rhyne's nature is generally unpredictable in the sense that he acts as a wild animal more often than not, but is predictable in the sense that he will usually ignore any orders thrown his way, is strongly self-reliant, and has a vengeful streak as long as the river Thames. He's quiet and brooding, observant, and scarily intelligent. He's good at reading people, considering that his unblinking stare tends to focus intently on one person for a while. While he has the ability to speak, and has the necessary manners to function in normal society, Rhyne's feral upbringing means that he acts more animal than man; most of his communication is nonverbal, in the form of gestures, snarls, growls, and other similar sounds. He's jumpy and paranoid, and doesn't trust many people - in fact, there isn't one person that he can easily name that he trusts. He doesn't really trust his companions, as Arturo had it drilled into his head, when Rhyne was little, that he was on his own, and no one would risk their neck to save him. That being said, Rhyne is fiercely loyal to those he deems as part of his 'pack' (more of that feral upbringing, yo) and will go to nearly any length to protect his companions, even if he doesn't like them. He will not risk his life, though; his self-preservation instinct is intensely strong. Despite his reluctance to speak, Rhyne has the ability to speak a few languages, including English, Spanish, and French, and can rapidly learn new languages thanks to his near-photographic memory. His memory has served him well over the years, but be warned - if you cross Rhyne, he will hunt you down. Rhyne can hold a grudge with the best of them. He does not forget, and he does not forgive. Due to his childhood, Rhyne has severe claustrophobia and a crippling - I mean crippling - fear of confinement, cages and anything that chains him and restricts him from free movement.
History: Rhyne, like most of his fellow assassins, was taken in by Arturo at a young age - the ripe age of one-and-a-half, to be exact. Even that young, Rhyne showed magical capability, and his birth parents had been utterly terrified of the black-haired, golden-eyed child. When Arturo had come seeking, they'd willingly handed the toddler over, fearful of his magical skills and potential. Arturo took the child, who'd had the name Tomas at the time, back to the Donkey's Brew. Almost instantly, Arturo gave the boy a new name - Rhyne, after the river that ran through Europe - and sequestered him from the rest of the assassins, beginning his training immediately. Rhyne was carefully cut off from the rest of the world, so he could focus on his training. His only human contact, beyond the maids who cared for him until he was two, was Arturo, who was hardly a caring father figure. He drilled Rhyne constantly, forcing the boy to hone his magic and his fighting skills. Rhyne was confined to a training room, where he ate, slept and trained everyday for twenty-one years. His solitude was broken by the canines that Arturo gave him as an attempt to hone his dyerre magic, and as a result Rhyne learned social cues and the necessary socialization skills from his canine companions. Much to Arturo's dismay, the boy was prone to growling, snarling, and crawling on the ground, and although he managed to train some of the feral behaviors out of Rhyne, much of it remained. When he was old enough to realize there was more beyond the door of his training room, Rhyne began to wail and cry and beg for release - but his pleas fell on deaf ears. If anyone had heard him, it was likely they were too scared of Arturo to release his prodigy. When he could garner no attention in that manner, Rhyne fell into a catatonic state, where he remained utterly silent, although he still followed Arturo's orders and continued to train. There was a glazed, dead look in his golden eyes, as if his consciousness had retreated somewhere deep inside him, and he was acting on muscle memory and instinct. When Arturo died, Rhyne had remained in the room for a day and a half, waiting. He'd been in his early twenties then, and had far surpassed his master in skill, both magic and physical. When the day and a half had passed, Rhyne had attacked the door to his prison with a wild, desperate ferocity, and finally managed to break free. Almost instantly, he made his way outside; he'd longed for the feel of the sun on his skin, the smell of the air, the feeling of freedom, and when he finally tasted the outside world, he swore he would never be shackled or confined again. His feral nature never fully left him, and most of Arturo's old servants were far too terrified of the wild-man to try and force him back into the training room. Thus, with a wild cry and a guttural howl, Rhyne burst into the human world, and his memory will never fade.

Daniel Moorethe Outcast ✘ Male ✘ 19(if this is OK...)✘ Doesn't know yet
Magical Specialty and Unique Skills: As for his magical skills he has mainly put all of his energy into mastering sahte as it was what he understood the best when he started at age 12. Though he isn't too bad with dyerre and wants to master it next. What he is bad with though is ogge, because when he tries to use fire he tends to either set himself or the things around him on fire and just gets drenched when he tries to use water. He hasn't tried to use earth or air and is scared to even try. As for combat he tries to keep it stealthy and quick as he doesn't like to see people in pain. Honestly he'd rather weaken the persons senses and let someone else deal the final blow. If he was in hand to hand combat he would try to weaken the persons senses and hiding before trying again.
Appearance: He stands at 6'0" even and has the body build if a swimmer mixed with a runner. He tends to wear lightweight clothes so that he can be able to move quickly and quietly, but his clothing also covers most of his body had he tries to hide within himself all the time. As for the rare times anyone can actually see his hair is a black with blue tint colour and hangs to his shoulders in waves. As for his eyes they are an emerald green colour that always give away his emotions so he tends to avoid eye contact. As for if you ever catch him without a shirt on you'd find a lot of old scars from his childhood.
Personality: He honestly is a kind person that had a lot of bad happen to him as a kid. When he first became part of the Raven's Guild he couldn't bring himself to even hurt a fly, but with a lot of pushing he'll get the job done even when it goes against he's personality. He is also starting to show signs for developing a multiple personality disorder because he doesn't like hurting people.
History: he was born into a poor family that made most of their living off of stealing but he wasn't really good at it because of his kind heart. Every time he came home with little to nothing he got a beating from his mother. By the time he reached ten he got sick of it and ran away from home. How he became a part of the guild was that he accidentally snuck in during one of the members doing their job and wasn't spotted til after the job was done.

Cypress Ardeleanthe Wild Card ✘ Male ✘ Twenty Six ✘ Sexuality
Magical Specialty and Unique Skills: Cypress was born with a knack for magic, namely sahte. Which is pretty awesome, seeing as it aids him greatly whenever he's betrayed a handful of people and decides to reveal it to them. To the entirety of the group, all at once, preferably in a secluded alley. He's a bit dramatic. The aftermath that follows is never positive, with all these angry assassins hunting him because he knows too much and now he's playing for the other side. Which is where sahte comes in! He's highly skilled in this category of magic, being able to make people see things that aren't there and even eliminate their senses entirely. It's great for getting away and let's be honest here - he loves their confusion and helplessness. He's not afraid of taking advantage of this either, especially when he's in a sadistic mood. He sees no reason to improve his skills in other fields of magic and thus, is well below average in them.
Appearance: Cypress is a tall young man with an appearance that is just as interesting as his personality. Standing at about 6'3", he towers over most and cuts a rather imposing figure. Body wise, Cypress has a tall physique with long limbs - every other ounce of his being seems to be either dense bone or sinewy muscle, and he's lithe as an assassin should be. He is of mixed race, with a tawny beige complexion, mellow-brown and prone to tanning alongside freckles. His hair, a weird shade of red somewhere between mahogany and auburn, is extremely messy. It's riddled with terrible cowlicks - especially near the back and the top - and is made up of large, messy curls. His eyes are deep set and a bright amber. Only further accentuating them are dark eyelashes that aren't very long but are pretty thick. His skin has many physical imperfections, with randomly placed moles, birthmarks — you name it. Further marring his skin are countless scars with ranging degrees of severity. The most prominent are on his chest, back, and a particularly nasty burn scar making up most of his left forearm. Now, Cypress is pretty indifferent when it comes to his looks, but the one thing he hates about his body and can't change are his freckles. There are hundreds of tiny, dark brown flecks covering his shoulders, his back, upper arms, upper chest, and even a few here and there on his thighs. His face has been spared for the most part, with only a few of lighter coloring dusted on his cheeks and upper forehead. He also has this sly, crooked smirk that makes you feel as if befriending Cypress will ultimately just get you a knife in the back.
Personality: Cypress is a very expressive guy with many personality traits that he's both been born with and has accumulated over time. I mean, everyone changes with time, it only makes sense. The base personality of the assassin is often an expressive and extroverted character; a stark contrast to most other assassins. He's very loud and often attracts attention to himself and though this is normally an assassin's worst nightmare, he loves and feeds off of it. Oddly enough, Cypress absolutely loves making friends but most of them turn out to be enemies. No worries though - he keeps nobody close and betrayal is brushed aside with surprising ease. Cypress will often put himself high up on a pedestal, much to other's disdain. Despite being a dirty street rat, he takes great pride in himself and has no qualms with flaunting it to the very best of his ability. Which makes him annoying to the extreme. His ego is hard to deflate and it's even harder to shove him off of his high horse. He often refers to himself as a "king" and fantasizes of being treated like one - although becoming the actual king is far too much work for his liking. But he'll also refer to himself as "filth," a "street rat," and so on. Cypress doesn't really say it in a sort of "I hate myself sort of way" however and isn't seeking for anyone to deny it and reassure him of the opposite. Seriously, his ego is huge - he doesn't care.
Don't be fooled by his lighthearted and playful attitude, however. Cypress' true loyalty is to gold and he has no problem betraying somebody for a little pocket money. For him, it's all about being on the team that's currently closest to his goal - if another group just so happens to pass them, then it's hasta la vista. As long as he's getting paid, y'know? And if he's getting to kill people and have fun, of course! It's not unknown that Cypress has quite the sadistic mindset; he finds beauty and delight in the pain and deaths of his targets and if given the opportunity, will often prolong his assassination attempts. It's pretty morbid, pretty grotesque. Even with other members of the group, he visibly becomes excited and amused when bearing witness to their pain and discomfort. Perhaps his morbid enjoyment from watching others suffer stems from him growing up and being forced to watch others enjoy lavish lifestyles they didn't deserve? Spoiler alert; it is. Helps him cope with the overwhelming hatred he has towards them. Overall, he's a fun guy to be around but erratic, unreliable, and untrustworthy.
History: Cypress is a highly skilled assassin who was left orphaned in the slums at a very young age. His father left his mother and soon enough, it was he who was left behind. Thrown into the streets, he was forced to steal for survival before even reaching the age of 10. He was eventually adopted by a notable, nameless assassin who was taught the art of assassination. He received no love from her but she did care for him to some degree and she was the closest he had to any sort of parental figure. Speaking of which, his very first real job was when he was contracted to kill her. He carried it out with little to no remorse, refusing to let any personal feelings he may have had interfere.
Although he's very vague about it, Cypress will occasionally mention that he once wanted to "shape the future" but the thrill of killing stained his hands and he can no longer escape from it. Even he is unsure of what he means by shaping the future, but he did, at one point, have aspirations that extended beyond killing people for a living - even if he gets a kick out of it.

Odette LeclairThe Sage ✘ Female ✘ 22 ✘ Bisexual
Magical Specialty and Unique Skills: Odette is one of the most naturally skilled of the group. She finds that she is very proficient it the art of ogge. She has been gifted the most with control over air, to the extent that she can even create windstorms and move large objects, such as humans when the need arises. She also finds that the manipulation of water comes fairly quickly to her; whirlpools and good-sized waves are not beyond her. In fact, Odette is not shabby with the other areas of ogge and her level of competence with elemental magic is equal to or better than most other trained magic users. She is also a generally well-rounded. She works with tamir and has mastered it at least competently, such as transferring energy through touch and sensing the flow of it around her. She has even been able to use tamir to attack, leeching energy from others or intensifying it so much in a certain spot so as to cause pain. She also practices daily with ataima and can whisper well to others, even strangers. However, she is not quite as skilled with sahte and unless she puts an extreme amour of effort into it she can usually only manage tasks such as enhancing her eyesight or hearing. Odette is not naturally gifted in the realm of dyette. either. She does not take much time to practice and can maybe pull off a basic conversation with a relatively small animal but nothing more, and even that can be a stretch if she's tired or not focused. However, she was born with a natural affinity for magic and if she dedicated her entire life to it she could likely master two or three of the categories quite well. She trains hard already and her powers are a testament to that.
Appearance: At first glance, Odette is what you might call unremarkable. She has fair skin, which is common to the area they are in, that can tan if exposed to the exact right conditions but is generally prone to burning. Odette a somewhat short person, a good few inches below the average height for a woman, but not short enough as to draw attention. In fact, it's exactly the opposite; she usually gets overlooked because of it. She has a thin build with few curves and is generally slim. Odette does not appear particularly athletic at first, but she can be surprisingly agile when a mission calls for it. Stick-thin and quick, she is not very strong but can fit into small crannies and slip into spaces where others, especially rich targets with more than enough money for ample meals, could not. She has wavy brown hair that she keeps somewhat long and often pulls back into a neat, if rather plain-looking, bun. It keeps it out of her eyes and she gives little thought to it otherwise. She has tiny, rosebud lips and a flat, utterly average nose. She is somewhat pretty in an innocent sort of girl-next-door way, but is nothing particularly special to look at. However, she has the type of face that makes people immediately trust her; Odette's resting expression combined with her features makes her appear friendly. Her eyes are a dark, cocoa brown. Resting beneath thick, arched eyebrows, they are likely her most striking feature. They are very almond-shaped and incredibly expressive, giving her an innocent look that usually children possess. Combined with her size and the gentle fullness of her face, which is in contrast the gangly angles of the rest of her body, Odette looks quite a bit younger than she actually is. Most mistake her for a teenager at first, and she does nothing to dispel that notion; after all, people don't usually suspect her if they think she is nothing but a foolish child. So as not to draw attention, she usually wear plain, practical dresses that are completely accepted by society. Brown is usually the color she chooses, and she is not one to favor bright or flashy clothing. However, she often wears a pair of sturdy breeches and a substantial camisole of sorts underneath in case of emergency, and during missions she will sometimes forgo dresses and skirts for more practical wear.
Personality: What most notice about Odette immediately is that she seems wise beyond her years. Mature and poised, she is never one to jump into action without thinking first. She is incredibly hardworking and knows that she has natural talent, but she does not use that as an excuse to slack off; in fact, it motivates her to work ever harder. Rather unobtrusive most of the time, she works well on a team and finds that a group dynamic fits her well. Due to her past, which was not necessarily the easiest, Odette can be rather serious and even a tad morose. She is not an optimist but instead is very realistic and always looks for the worst. She is rather cut and dry about her own beliefs: she finds killing acceptable when it is for a job, but does not usually approve of anything outside of that. However, she always looks to the greater good of the Guild and if outvoted will go along with the plan agreed upon. People tend to trust her naturally due to her kindly looks, and generally Odette is a skilled listener. She gives thoughtful advice and her opinion is almost always valid. She is not necessarily a genius but she is fairly intellectually savvy. She is not a manipulative person at heart but is not above using her unassuming appearance to go undercover or trick people into giving people what she wants for a mission. Odette does not find lying a problem, but only if it's for a purpose, such as to calm the other assassins or to slip into a target's house. Her ultimate goal is to keep those she works with safe, and she is extremely dedicated to them. Sometimes she becomes so wrapped up in her job that she finds she can forget how to be a carefree young girl. She can be overly serious at times. As a result of her upbringing she finds that though she is wise in some ways she is completely clueless in some areas, especially those regarding relationships and romance. Odette is not often angered, but every now and then when someone enrages her, all hell breaks loose. She is a very passive-agressive, icy person when upset, and it can be hard to just get in a quick apology before she's blown someone off. Thankfully, it she keeps a rein on her temper, because her wrath is never good, and she tends to do underhand, sneaky things to get back at people. It is her greatest flaw and the one caveat to her otherwise calm, unwavering personality.
History: Odette grew up in a somewhat fractured household. Her father and mother were both busy, working full-time jobs. They were both doctors with rather fiery, stubborn personalities and they left her alone with a nanny during the day. When they returned at night, they would swing between having romantic dinners to screaming at each other and throwing various things around the house in rage. Needless to say, none of the were very happy despite their wealth. Odette does not remember much of this time, mostly just the yelling. Her father passed away from heart failure when she was still very young, and her mother turned to alcohol to soothe her pain. During this period, Odette was starting to develop her natural powers. She was fascinated by them, especially Ogge, and would experiment. Naturally, these experiments often ended in disaster. Her mother, afraid of the magic and completely unsure how to raise her, was on the verge of abandoning her in the streets. However, Arturo showed up when she was at the mere age of seven, having taken notice of her magical abilities. Bypassing all the normal adoption processes in order to get rid of Odette, her mother nearly shoved her into his waiting arms, glad to be rid of her "strange" daughter. She then fled the city, and Odette has not seen her since. Odette grew up in training. She progressed with her powers considerably and was honed into a deadly threat. However, she never entirely forgot her mother and past life. It remains in the back of her head at all times, like an ache that's become so familiar that it can be ignored most times. However, every now and then the ache of being abandoned intensifies and her past pains her considerably.

Evonne Apialesthe Healer ✘ Female ✘ Twenty One ✘ Sexuality
Magical Specialty and Unique Skills: The healer of the group, she’s more meant to support and her magic reflects that. Evonne is strongest in tamir. Altering the energies of an entire room is simple enough, though it did take quite a bit of practice to do so. She can transfer energy from one person to another with ease and this is definitely good when someone is injured. Rendering those around her unconscious is a particularly useful ability and it was her main goal when first starting out - she’s since mastered that particular trick. It’s helpful when she’s around somebody who’s clearly injured but wants to play hero, if it’d just be better if someone isn’t awake as she takes care of them, when enemies are approaching but she can’t really take a moment to look away from the person she’s helping… it just makes things so much easier. She’s useless in basically every other field of magic other than ataima. She can communicate with more than one person at once and over a greater distance than average, but cannot do so over miles or with strangers. It’s helpful when she needs to check in on the rest of the group to make sure they’re not dying or anything. Sometimes, if she’s lucky, she can do some telepathy with an acquaintance that’s a yard or two away.
Appearance: Perhaps Evonne isn’t beautiful in the “classical way.” No flowing golden curls or ivory skin, no piercing eyes of purple or gray or what have you. She’s shorter than average, but yet in her ordinariness she is cute, at the very least. She has a heart shaped face that tapers at the chin, with a wide brow and narrow jaw, though soft in shape with cheeks still slightly chubby and rounded. Evonne has a somewhat childish appearance to her face, with pouty - and perpetually chapped - pink lips, a small and rounded nose that just seems to fit in, and wide, blue-green eyes. Dotted across the bridge of her nose and her cheeks are a smattering of freckles that aren't terribly noticeable unless one gets very close to her face. Her hair is quite thick and hard to manage, stopping only an inch or two past her shoulders. It’s a light shade of brown and is soft and poofy if washed and brushed properly. Evonne loves dresses and on a usual day, will gladly wear them. Her assassin gear is a stark contrast from what she prefers, however. All dark colors and pants and all that jazz, ew.
Personality: Some describe the girl as an overall "stab in the gut." She’s not fun to be around but she’s certainly not boring either. Evonne is pretty abrasive, especially towards strangers. She is also suspicious of anyone and everything, though this is to be expected from just about any assassin. The young healer is rather childish, for the most part. Not in the cute, innocent way, however. She’s a brat, simply put. She cannot handle losing or failure well and often overreacts to most everything. Evonne is majorly expressive and often uses the wildest hand gestures to emphasize what she’s saying. It’s not uncommon for her to accidentally hit somebody while she’s talking due to this. She’s ill mannered and rude without shame, not caring one bit about what others may think of her. Evonne is greedy and always wants to get what she wants. Whatever she declares as hers, it is hers. Do not try to negotiate with her, she’s ridiculously stubborn and you’re only wasting your time. Do not touch her things, because they are her things and she will undoubtedly make a huge deal out of it. She’s quick to anger and even quicker to offend. She’s not particularly the person you want to dislike you, however, even though she’s got the mentality of a ten year old. Evonne is petty and passive aggressive to the extreme - if you’ve upset her recently, she is not above watching you squirm and suffer while injured rather than helping. Luckily, even though she’s easy to upset and offend, it’s just as easy to cheer her up and she accepts almost all apologies, sincere or not.
It’s kind of a wonder why she’s even the group’s healer. Evonne also happens to be deathly forgetful, often forgetting to do even the most basic day-to-day tasks, such as brushing her hair or grabbing a quick bite to eat for breakfast. Her forgetfulness normally results in her getting lost far too easily, even in an area she should know like the back of her hand. It’s probably not a good idea to leave her alone for prolonged periods of time or take your eyes off of her - she tends to wander. She also tends to remember useless information more than information that could have actually been of help. It’s either that or if somebody asks her for/about something, she will only remember a few hours, or even days later to do so. So yeah, she’s a little useless in that respect and oddly enough, it’s one of the few things that will make her feel bad. Evonne will often blame herself (she isn’t wrong) and sulk for a good half hour.
Her inner core is just a touch softer than her outer core. Evonne locks away her deepest feelings and fears with a hidden key. She’s rather emotional and sensitive on the inside and her having a good cry where nobody but the vermin can overhear is a common occurrence. She takes everything to heart and this is part of the reason she’s so easy to upset and offend. If one is close enough to her, Evonne will release some of her deepest feelings and fears for their ears to hear. A rarer happenstance is to hear about her wild and often childish fantasies. Don’t you dare mock her daydreams, even in jest!
Deep down she's a good person, but deeper down she's an even bigger jerk.

Oooh, okay I was thinking and I'm gonna give my best go at zodiac signs for our kiddos.
Aquarius - Ilai Pisces - Daniel Aries - Rhyne, Evonne Taurus - Arya Gemini - Jack Cancer - Mara Leo - Zehmira Virgo - Libra - Odette Scorpio - Vivienne Sagittarius - Cypress Capricorn - Kade
This is probably super inaccurate, and I was just guessing at most of them from what I've seen so far! There are a few I've left blank, too. So let me know if you think someone fits better into the personality of a different sign...

*gasp* How dare you! Rhyne is not evil
he's a delicate little boy who's damaged and scared and masks it with ferocity and threats
