I feel it'd be worth the time and effort to implement a [html] tag. It'll allow users to be less restricted by BBCode (which proboards messes up anyway and often injects extra, unnecessary code when you preview it x___x) and will give more flexibility to topic makers, especially for those who want to make fancy roleplay posts (like me!).
How it would work:
Around your text, you would put [html]. From here, you can put your style tags and then go wild with your code stuff.
Example, in plaintext:
[html]<style type="text/css">
.examplediv { background-color:#FFFFFF; color: #000000; }
.examplediv b {color: #FF0000; }
</style>
<div class="examplediv">This is an example of the [html] tag.</div>
[/html]

Yep! I'm not sure about the intricacies, but I do know that on another forum I'm active on, it basically enables HTML to be used instead of BBCode. You can define a <style> and <div> tags and basically anything else you can do in HTML - it's pretty useful, if you can figure how to get it to work! admin (sand)

Sure, take all the time you need! And if you can't get it to work, that's fine too - there might be a plugin you can install that does that, but I haven't made a Proboards forum in a long while.

I think the reason a lot of smaller forums run on BBcode is something to do with how it's less secure due to XSS vulnerabilities when a forum uses HTML. This is a free forum after all. Though I'm sure if it's just a tag it should be fine, I should read more on this.

Let me know if you have any links about it, I'd like to know more!
