There is a tale of the land, long ago. In ancient times, long before the Murakami Clan was around. The skies of Takayama were ruled by divine creatures. Who ruled the earth, water and skies? Dragons.
Two sets of brothers ruled over the lands, the waters and the skies. They were wise and they were strong. They would make sure that the crops would grow for farmers, let it rain when needed, make the seasons warm and gradually make them cold. Each dragon had an element and a season that they ruled over. When the seasons prolong or when the weather goes back and forth, you would know that the dragons are fighting over who stayed in control the longest.
Eventually, two dragons won over their brothers. The North dragon had fought with the South dragon, and had been sent crashing down into the earth, never to go into the skies again. The East dragon had fought with the West dragon, being struck from the sky and sent crashing into the earth as well. While the South and West dragons were victorious, this triumph turned to bitter and sorrow over the loss of their brothers. This turned into another fight in which the South dragon was victorious again, but so much more alone.
Time passed on, and the emptiness grew in the South dragon's heart. He moved along the land until he found a temple near a mountain. Upon it, a human had climbed to the top to visit the dragon.
"Dragon of the South Winds," the human asked. "Why are you so sad?"
"Because," the South dragon replied. "I wanted to control the earth, water and skies by myself, and in it, I killed my brother and my only remaining friend."
"You caused yourself harm in doing this," the human said. "Look at what your fighting has done to the land around you."
The South dragon looked around him. The lands he had protected and cared for were in chaos, life was barely hanging on by a thread. The seasons and constant disasters had ruined the once peaceful aura. He turned back to the human.
"You cannot fix what you did until you learn to fix your own wounds," the human went on with. "Only then, will you be able to find the peace you are looking for, and restore balance."
The South dragon, for the first time ever, put his claws to the ground and knelt down, pressing his muzzle to the stone beneath him. He was able to see clearly around him and was able to find peace within himself. The human had eventually revealed himself as his brother, the two of them turning human. Upon the mountain, the North dragon had met the East and West dragons when they were struck down as well, the three of them building the temple.
Now with the South dragon there, they left to restore the land that they had destroyed. navigation title post ;; introduction, navigation post 1 ;; about, rules, the dragons post 2 ;; murakami clan, plot, blood of the dragons post 3 ;; abilities, roles post 4 ;; characters - north and south post 5 ;; characters - east and west post 6 ;; other characters post 7 ;; relationships, members, joining forms post 8 ;; credit post 9 ;; save

about Hello! Welcome to my role-play! I am your creator, Genj, and I shall walk you through this! You're either bored or curious, right? Might as well entertain you! First of all, this is all based in Japan. Complete Japanese stuff here. This role-play is based on two characters in a game called Overwatch. I'm sure you've heard of it by now! It's... a really fun game. But anyways! There are two characters in there that I absolutely adore. Hanzo and Genji Shimada, the Japanese brothers who control the power of the South and North dragons. I wanted to make something based off of that, so here we are! I think you know what to expect if you know these two characters. If not! Continue reading!
The tale of the dragons is listed above, but we are in current times. What happened is that the tale is true and the dragons did end up becoming human. And! Ta-da! The Murakami Clan was founded! There were always four people at the top of the Clan through-out time. They would always be brothers, two sets of brothers. An elder and a younger, close in age within five years. The spirit of the dragons were passed down and, unfortunately, with every generation that got the spirit of the dragon, they fell upon the same fate as long ago. However, the dragon spirit is passed down every four to five generations, no dragon being able to meet another.
It's usually always the same tale. The older brothers will fight with their younger brothers over something that makes them despise each other. They will fight until one of them is dead. However, the spirit of the dragon does not allow them to be actually dead. Sometimes the younger brother fakes their death. Sometimes they die for a small portion of time, but are brought back. Sometimes they disappear after being pushed into water or down a steep decline. Sometimes they actually do die, but are brought back as... something interesting. The remaining brothers will eventually fight by blaming each other for their "dead" younger brothers. Sometimes over the same thing. But it always ends the same. The South dragon will always win.
But this doesn't mean anything in strength nor power between the four when they all meet each other again. The South dragon is always the leader, the eldest. The Murakami Clan, however, is quite... something. It's an assassin Clan, since this is based off of Hanzo and Genji Shimada's backstory. While it wasn't made that way originally, it's a very powerful, very large and very corrupt Clan. It's based on the old ways, which means no guns or anything.
The power of the dragons is to control the spirit of the dragon. This is used with fighting and such, which makes sense that their Clan fell to darker tactics to keep up the tradition of using the dragons' spirits. Their weapon is always unique to them, not always having something else with them. The elder two hold onto a weapon that is mainly their only weapon. The South dragon holds to the bow, the East dragon holds to the Kunai. The younger two, however, use two weapons, one as a way to keep others out of their hair at a distance while having their main weapon as their Dragon Weapon. The North dragon uses shurikens and a wakizashi, holding onto a katana as his Dragon Weapon, the West dragon uses bo-shurikens and two tantos, holding onto a kusarigama as his Dragon Weapon.
Chances are, you don't know half of those weapons, which is alright! Basically, throwing things and swords. I'll explain them below. But every weapon is completely unique and each descendant of the dragons is unique with their fighting style. rules i. follow the forum rules. please follow them. just do it. so then no one gets in trouble or banned. ii. this is an advanced role-play. this means i want six or more lines per character. proper spelling and grammar too! typos are allowed. and no text talk while in character/role-playing! iii. you must be active. i know, i know, we all have our personal lives. i ride horse, have a job, have two little brothers who live a hour away and all that. but try to get on once a week. okay? if you aren't on in a week without warning and you're posting elsewhere, you will get a one day warning and then your spot is open once again. iv. characters have to be flawed. i mean, your character has the power of a dragon within them, yeah. they control a dragon. but they have to FIT that personality. that season, so to say. the south dragon should be a laid back character, fitting winter. the north dragon is a gentle, caring character, fitting spring. you get the idea. but do. not. make. them. perfect. v. keep everything PG. we can maybe have thing border-line PG13, but that's it. otherwise use our friend "skip". vi. there are certain things i will not allow here. powerplaying, god-modding, spot-lighting, drama-queens and trolling. i also will not tolerate flamming/bashing, spamming nor fighting. vii. remember, this is the most important. rule have fun!
the dragons The South dragon ruled over the winter, being the blue scaled dragon of the water. He would make the seasons cold, letting the land freeze over and take a nice, long nap that was well needed. He ruled the seas and granted wary fishermen safe passage to feed their families.
The North dragon ruled over the spring, being the green scaled dragon of the earth. He would begin to warm the lands and wake up nature, telling it that it's rest was over. He brought life and color back to the lands and granted the farmers new animals on their farms as well as the warm rains that thawed the frozen lands.
The East dragon ruled over the summer, being the yellow scaled dragon of electricity. He would bring the warm winds and dry up all the rain water that the North dragon brought, letting life prosper and grow in the warm weather. Upon his season, he would bring thunderstorms, dancing across the sky with his lightning, the thunder brought by each new dance and foot-fall within the sky. He made the season of fun and excitement.
The West dragon ruled over the autumn, being the red scaled dragon of fire. He brought the warm summers to an end and prepared the land for another long nap. The leaves turned to beautiful colors and the air became cooler. He gave farmers good harvest and granted them fire to warm with at night.

murakami clan The Murakami Clan is a very large and very wealthy Clan that resides in Takayama, Japan. They have their own area to the outskirts of the city, their own housing complex reserved for their family and their family alone. Plenty of guards, a garage with quite a selection of cars, plenty of houses, a temple, training dojo, weaponry, guest houses, employee houses. It has it all.
Though it's wealthy, there's no true evidence that it's the assassination Clan. However, it's common knowledge that they are just that. You mess with them and you're dead. You annoy them or anger them, you're dead. And you dare try to humiliate them? You're dead. And they have no problem taking out one of their own if they try to leave, or heaven forbid, try to report them.
While if you're born into the Clan, you have the privileges of using the family money and doing as you please, you're expected to not to. You're supposed to uphold the family name and hold it's honor. And if you make one too many mistakes to dishonor your family? Well... you won't be heard of again.
While the previous leader was forgiving about the North and West dragons' disinterest or not really caring or doing activity in the Clan name, the elders of the Clan and the two new leaders, the South and East dragons, quite might. plot i. Repeating History the times of bonding and having friendship has come and past. this is the adult life now, young ones. you're fully trained. and you have different views. those views will always end up being deadly. what if one doesn't want to be a part of an assassination clan? what if one doesn't believe in that sort of dark thing? the old leaders are dead and have passed along their power to the two eldest. history has this funny habit of repeating itself. blood of the dragons It's always been a repeat of history. It's in their blood. No matter what, there's always something that drives both pairs of brothers apart. There's always something that drives the elder and the younger to fight. Emotions run high, choices are made that change their lives forever. It always happens and there is no way to escape it. When the tales are told to the young boys, they always think to themselves, "Yeah, right! We'll be the Murakami's to break that chain!". But it never ends that way.
Every seven or eight generations is when you'll see the four boys together, having the dragon spirits within them. Now, they're fully human. However, they are gifted. Enough time passes between each generation to let tension settle down and peace come back to the Clan. And then it starts up again. It never changes.
The younger brothers will always end up dead to the Clan. Sometimes they "drown" or die from "falling off a mountain." Some are dead for a few seconds. Some play dead and appear dead for a while. Some have actually died, but... returned with a... different body. But they always are thought to be dead by the Murakami Clan. And most importantly, to the elder brothers.
The elder brothers always fight and it ends the same way. Sometimes it's out of rage for what they've done. Sometimes it's because they can't stand one another after what they've done. It always ranges. But it happens. But the one whom controls the dragon of the South Wind always wins.
And eventually, they all end up back together, working as one.

abilities It's well known that those that control the dragon spirits are amazing with fighting. They're amazing at hand to hand combat along with certain types of weapons. Each dragon has their own weapon attack, in which they're able to use the power of the said dragon spirit. They all have different ones that are based to match their dragon. Other than this, they are perfectly normal human beings. With extremely good reflexes, senses and a slight case of upper and lower fangs, though not too much to stand out.
The South dragon is the only one with two dragons within his dragon attack, where he summons his dragons. This is due to him being the leader and him always being the one to first strike everyone down. The East dragon matches the South dragon with an attack that has his dragon take actual spirit form and bound forward to destroy all enemy life within his path. He and the South dragon have the ability to see through "the dragon's eyes" and be able to see the outline of their enemies through things for a small amount of time. The North and West dragons have their dragons within their blade. But with another dragon attack, the dragon will stay outside the blade and redirect the dragon(s) straight back at the one that sent the attack.
Only a Murakami can ever control the dragons. roles x. Dragon of the South Wind -- The Lone Leader
"Ryuu ga waga teki wo kurau!"
The South dragon himself is the leader of not only the group of four, but of the entire Murayami Clan. He is the eldest of them all and has been raised to be the leader his entire life. He has to be wise and he has to be a strong leader; he was born to lead the way. However, he follows the advice of his elders and does as they ask. After all, he just holds the title, it seems. Dragon Weapon: bow and arrow this weapon is for ranged attacks typically, the bow being nearly as tall as the South dragon himself. it's very special and can only be repaired or tuned up by its master. it will not fire for anyone else. Dragon Attack: spiral of two blue dragon spirits
x. Dragon of the North Wind -- The Cheerful Adventurer
"Ryujin no ken wo kurae!"
A cheerful, somewhat flirty guy who wants to explore and have fun in life, he will have no interest in the darkness of the Clan. Rather, he does what his heart tells him to do and he acts on emotion instead of logic, typically. This tends to get him into more than a few sticky situations. Ranged Weapon: shuriken Secondary Weapon: wakizashi Dragon Weapon: katana the shuriken is also known as ninja stars and the wakizashi is a shorter Japanese sword. the katana itself is never used unless bringing out the spirit of the dragon of the North Wind and is at least half the height North dragon himself. it can only be polished or repaired by its master and will not cut even a blade of grass for anyone else. Dragon Attack: green dragon within his blade
x. Dragon of the East Wind -- The Second in Charge
"Ryuu shohi anata michisuji!"
The second in charge, the East dragon has the personality of the summer season. However, he doesn't like being told when he's wrong, which is where his downfall comes. Ego over sense. He was raised to be a leader and that's exactly what he does when he's given the chance. Secondary Weapon: kabutowari Dragon Weapon: kunai the kabutowari is a Japanese knife-dagger weapon. the kenai is a Japanese dagger that is used as both a melee weapon and distanced weapon up to medium range. while the kenai weapons themselves are nothing special in particular, it's the wrapping around each one that make it possible to activate and bring out the dragon spirit within. Dragon Attack: yellow dragon that circles and comes back with a whistle
x. Dragon of the West Wind -- The Wise Homekeeper
"Ryujin no odaka ni!"
The West dragon has that of a laid-back personality that belongs to autumn. He, along with the North dragon, aren't really cut out to be a part of this Clan and would rather follow their hearts and wherever the wind takes them, than to slay an innocent life or make things miserable for someone else. Ranged Weapon: bo-skuriken Secondary Weapon: 2 tantos Dragon Weapon: kusarigama a bo-shuriken is basically a throwing dart made of metal. a tanto is commonly seen in a pairing, basically being duel short swords. the kusarigama is a handled scythe, basically with chains contenting the two handles of the scythe blades. as with the other dragon weapons, it can only be repaired or polished by its master and will not cut a single thing for anyone else. Dragon Attack: a red dragon within the blades

dragon of the east wind 〱 rai ➻ "tempest" ● twenty-six ● east dragon ● summer ● second in charge ● + Though Rai is lean with broad shoulders and well muscled arms, he stands and what he feels is a terribly short 5'7". He has long black hair, which he frequently ties up into an elegant bun or into an intricate braid, and a bit of facial hair. His black eyes are sharp, but playful all the same. Rai spends most of his time out in the sun, and as such has tanned skin. Though raised to be a leader, he is known for his playfulness, but also his quick and fierce temper; he is frequently being told to hold his tongue. One moment he can be as nasty as a storm, the next he is the gentle calm that follows after. When the need strikes, however, he is an efficient leader. He is known as the tempest, because his mood changes like the weather and his attacks are unrelenting like a storm.

murakami clan 〱 akira ➻ "kaigara" ● twenty-seven ● male ● he/him ● bisexual ● + akira stands at 6'4" tall, being half japanese, since his mother was swiss. he has soft, very dark brown hair and dark, but meaningful brown eyes. he's got slightly darker tanned skin and a slight showing of a beard, his hair being shaggy and long, often pulled back in a smaller ponytail. akira is muscular and quick on his feet. while he seems stoic at first, he generally warms up and is a friendly, gentle soul. however, he is a born and bred assassin and nothing will deter him from his mission.〱 hiro ➻ "mausu" ● nineteen ● male ● he/him ● bisexual ● + Hiro is 5 foot four inches of bundled nerves. His otherwise fair skin is blemished with large scars along his shoulder and stomach; Hiro never answers anyone who asks about the scars. His hazel eyes rarely meet another persons eyes, and it isn't because of his curly but coiffed brown hair. His clan mates frequently judge his ability to perform, but he comes back from every mission with the job done. He is anxious, tends to ramble when in social situations, and hates the spot light. He is fiercely loyal to the few he has dedicated himself to, and can be quite charming and funny when he loosens up.〱 hitomi ➻ "haruka" ● twenty-two ● female ● she/her ● bisexual ● + Hitomi is considered to be a classic beauty in the family. She stands to be about 5'4" with a slim and graceful build, fair skin and long black hair that comes to about her waist. She tends to keep her hair up in a proper and modest bun at all times. Her eyes, while slanted and almond-shaped, are an amber color with a faint ring of gold around the edges. Hitomi is rather quiet and reserved when in the presence of anyone else but her family. Among her clan, she is more outgoing, yet isn't as much of a risk taker than the other boys. She is more of an observer than anything else, and tends to stick towards the sidelines to watch conflicts run their course before she even tries to intervene, especially when it comes to her brothers, the north and south dragons.〱 name ➻ "nick-name" ● age ● gender ● pronouns ● sexuality ● + small description of their looks + slight personality 【 @.username 】

credit this role-play was coded completely by myself. the idea stems from the backstory of two playable characters in the game "Overwatch", which are "Genji Shimada" and "Hanzo Shimada". Their tale is in their animation short, which is called "Dragons", to no surprise. Otherwise, this is all my idea, I did quite a bit of work on this and I would kindly ask that you do not take it. Thank you!

Deep breath in, deep breath out.
Eyes focused other on the end of his blade, his arm straight and holding up the piece of fruit with ease. A rather large apple sat at the end of the katana, the razor edge of the long metallic weapon not even cutting into the skin, delicately being balanced with even weight. Concentration filled the pools of a dark brown color, the pupil widening and contracting slightly with the light from outside the dojo, the warm air trickling in through the open doorway.
Focus, imagine the task at hand.
There was slight hesitation in the young man's body as he tensed up his muscles ever so slightly, preparing for what he was about to do. A stunt trick, if you would like to call it that. Master of the sword, he was supposed to be the best at this feat, and yet, his brother always managed to do this with ease while he could barely do it at all. He could do this. Just concentrate.
Concentrate...
A little "hyuph!" of effort was created as the youngest Murakami son flicked up his wrist, the blade sending the larger piece of fruit up into the air. Movements fluid like water, cuts swift as the wind, he moved the blade back and forth, keeping up with the fruit as gravity pulled it back down towards the ground. While the trick only lasted a few seconds, something that could easily be missed with a blink of an eye, it was over faster than it had taken to prepare for it.
The apple fell on the dojo mat, and when it did, it fell apart, cut into evenly sliced apple pieces. A few extra cuts showed in the outside layers, the skin broken through with a few of them. Hanging his head slightly, the twenty year old let out a small, almost defeated sigh and went over, grabbing a silk white cloth to clean the blade with quick movements, the katana back in its sheathe on his back almost as quick as it had been unsheathed just a minute before.
"Mada mada..." the Japanese young adult murmured, collapsing down to a sitting position, his legs spread slightly and his weight put back on his arms, his hands behind him. The apple slices hadn't been cut well enough to his liking, nothing comparable like with his brother. He tilted his head back, looking up at the ceiling, feeling the green silk on his skin. Two long ribbons held up his thick black hair back into a very small, uneven ponytail. While his bangs were left swept to the left side of his face, still striped blonde from when he once bleached them, his hair was almost always mostly pulled back into the smaller ponytail, the little tuft of a ponytail.
Dark brown eyes stared up at the wooden ceiling above him as he sat there for a moment. Why couldn't he just cut it evenly and nicely? He was supposed to be the swordsmaster of the Clan, and here he was, being shown up by his elder brother... again. No matter what he did, it didn't just seem to be enough.
"Next time, then!" the male mused to himself, rolling back a little and flipping his body into the air, landing evenly on his feet. A little determined spark was almost always seen in his eyes, like everything he saw around him was a challenge. "Yoshi!"
Keiji Murakami gave a small sigh and glanced down at the mess of an apple, the juices flowing out on the mat, starting to dry slightly and make a sticky mess. He gave a small shrug and walked out. One of the butlers would probably clean it up or something. That's why they hired them, might as well leave them a job to do.
Sitting down once again in the garden, he put his arms around his knees and looked up at the sky. The city noise could easily be heard from the Murakami Palace, but with that, was the sound of nature. One could hear the birds singing a beautiful song, the insects joining in on a tune, the stream bubbling along the garden. It was one of Keiji's favorite places. It was filled with life and he absolutely loved it.

Make it around the corner and you'd be fine.
That was the mantra Hiro had been mumbling to himself for the last five minutes as he hurried through the halls. It was easy enough to do. He was quiet, small, and fast. The halls were mostly empty because many of the clan members were enjoying the warm temperature. He did not have too many people to run into; now, whether that was something to be thankful for, or to be anxious over, he had yet to see.
"Come on, Hiro stop running!"
Right. He was running from the friendly clan mennace. Rai Murakami. The man was trying to play some sort of prank on who knows who, and had tried to rope Hiro into it because nobody would suspect the "Mausu". The empty halls meant nobody got in his way of retreat, but it also meant he did not have someboy to distract Rai with, and quite frankly the man was faster than him. Which meant this chase was really more of a show.
Made it around the corner. Now where? Another one? Try to retreat to his room and hope that Rai wouldn't just drag him out to go pull a prank anyways?
He feels a sharp tug on his shirt sleeve and nearly goes stumbling. He glances over his shoulder to the grinning face of one of the elder Murakami brothers. Rai was attractive, and unfortunately Hiro could be pressured to doing just about anything the prankster asked if he gave him the right smile, but it didn't mean Hiro didn't sweat bullets and have his heart clench in his ribcage. So he quickly looks forward to avoid eye contact, springs further away from the elder man- getting a "Hontou!" shouted at him. He looks over his shoulder once more as he bursts through the doors to the garden to see how far Rai is. Whatever thought he has is short lived as he forgets about the step down and it seems like the ground disappears under him.
Panic hits him quickly. If he had a moment to rationalize his reflexes would probably kick in and help him recover, as it is though, all he has is heart stopping panic and the image of the ground getting closer and closer to his face. Hiro tumbles into a heap in what seems like slow motion to himself, but is in reality just a short moment. He lays in stunned silence before Rai's sharp inhale breaks him out of it. He lifts himself up and dazedly blinks at Keiji.
Oh.
"Mausu- Ah- Hiro- you okay?!" Rai winces as he rushes in after the boy. Well, that certainly had not been his plan when he hoped to rope the boy into some harmless pranks.

To say that he hadn't expected someone to come up running, much less, two people to come up running behind him was to be expected. The garden was a small quiet paradise for him and the sudden noise and appearances made him jump up to his feet. Keiji's soft brown eyes landed on Hiro and then turned to see Rai.
"Ohayōgozaimasu!" he greeted his cousin, giving a small respectful wave and smile. His hand relaxed and went away from his wakizashi, which had gone there out of instinct and such. "Ogenkidesuka?"
Reaching up behind himself he tightened the ribbons around his hair, his eyes bright, but soft at the same time. He noticed that his older cousin had been chasing after poor Hiro, which made him smile a bit.
"What'cha been up to?" Keiji asked, even though Rai was notoriously known for his pranks and such. Still polite to at least ask him instead of assuming anything. Next to be the second leader, it was probably best that the twenty year old showed him a little respect. Probably.
What's the worst that he could really do, though? It's not like he'd kill him or anything.

Rai returns his cousins friendly gesture as he pats Hiro's back and shoulders, trying to get the boy to respond. "Ohayōgozaimasu, Keiji. I'm well. I wanted to see if Hiro here would pull some pranks with me and he bolted!"
Hiro seemed to finally come into himself, his hands hit the floor and he bows his head, "Sumimasen, Keiji-sama! I didn't mean to disturb you in the garden!" His hands burnt against the floor- he'd obviously scraped them and he'd have to slink away to take care of them. Which, as long as Rai didn't pester him, could be done easily enough.
Rai's nose curls a bit. The boy was overly formal, and he always had been that way. No matter how many times he tried to correct him the little mouse fell back to his ways. "We wouldn't have bothered him if you'd just tag along with me"
"Sumimasen, Rai-sama!"
Rai rolls his eyes and sighs, "how have you been, cousin?"

Having grown up with this kind of treatment, Keiji almost always enjoyed the praise and high regards towards his being. Almost. In situations like this, it almost seemed annoying. Much less, by one of his own family members, it got to be a little much even for him. His brown gaze looked at the distant city and let out a small exhale, the slight annoyance being hinted as he did so.
"No need to be so formal," the twenty year old stated, waving Hiro off a bit with a dismissive tone. "I'll sic Soba on you if you keep it up." A very empty threat to say the least. The green spirit dragon that he called female and named Soba was not primarily like that at all nor was Keiji.
Looking back at his older cousin, he shifted his weight a bit and slowly blinked, giving a small shrug. "Not too bad." Keiji's eyes went back to poor Hiro. "You know, if you keep teasing all of our poor family members, the Murakami Clan won't even exist anymore. You'll have them all frightened to death or drive them off with your pranks." There was a beat and then he grinned.
"So keep it up."
It wasn't a secret that the youngest Murakami member didn't like the way that the Clan operated. He liked the wealth and he liked the treatment and his way of life. However, the way that this was made... he didn't like. Immune to seeing dead bodies and people being tortured didn't mean he primarily liked that sort of thing at all.
"Nii-san! Nii-san! I found another one!"
A black-haired five year old version of the youngest Murakami Clan leader member knelt down and picked up a twig, tilting his head. Brown eyes shining with curiosity, he jabbed the piece of wood forward at the strange sight.
"I'll notify the gu-Keiji! Don't poke it with a stick!"
"Why not?" Keiji turned to look up at his elder brother for a moment before looking back down at the body.
"It's gross and improper! Come on, let's go tell one of the guards."
"But-... I wanted to get some ramen..."
"After the mess is cleaned up."
Just one of the many instances of him growing up with this life-style. It wasn't the dead body that disgusted him, it was the unnecessary loss of life. Being the inhabitant of spring, the embodiment of the earth, he wasn't exactly pleased with that sort of thing.
"Oi, Rai. Want to go grab some ramen with me? Surely you aren't as busy as my father or brother, right?" Keiji asked, a bit hopeful. His father had the Clan to run with his uncle, Rai's father. As for his brother... it wasn't all the time that he said no, but he had no idea where his elder brother was right now.

The spirit was friendly, if not persistent. So Hiro really shouldn't be all that concerned about it. He mumbles a quiet apology under his breath. He should know by now that it was alright for him to address these two in a less formal manner. Rai simply disliked it and with Keiji it had to be the right time. He looks between the two cousins talking and feels distinctly out of place- but that wasn't unusual. He offers an awkward chuckle and ducks his head, "Yes, we wouldn't want that."
Rai knew Keiji's words thinly veiled his wishes. He wasn't fond of the clan much himself, it was too restrictive and cut throat. Though, at times it certainly fit his temper and gave him a nice outlet to beat frustrations out on... but that was only when he had missions to attend to. Otherwise he was a ball of energy looking for a way to expel it. Often times that was done through pranks.
"I'm working on it. If I had a side-kick it would be an easier job."
Rai snickers. Most of clan was not willing to humor him there. So it was easier to pick on Hiro until he gave in. He carefully tugs Hiro up to stand so the boy isn't continuing to sit with his forehead practically to the floor. The kid really needed to grow a bit of a back bone, or let out that sass more often. The few times he's gotten Hiro to loosen up had been quite fun actually.
"I feel like I should be insulted by that. But since both of them are here in the clan right now, I'm sort of... unnecessary for the time being." Rai laughs and moves forward to clasp Keiji on the shoulders. He offers him a wide grin, "I could be persuaded to get ramen instead of pulling some pranks... Chasing Hiro worked up my appetite."
