. x What is up my bros, it is I, Jamie ur bro, here with a plot that,,, I really wanna do lol
i stole this from my v1 forum self, Sempiternal, and didn't bother to proofread any of it lmao so
let's hope its still as good as i remember
There's a story that goes around the little sea-side town every now and then, a wives tale, told to keep children from going to the beach after dark. The story is that deep beneath the piers and the beach's sand, live these creatures that could tear your flesh off with a single swipe of their powerful claws. Nobody's ever actually seen one of these creatures, but the rumor is that they've got a humanoid upper half and an elegant, fishy lower half, like the mermaids of fairy tales, but their fingernails have been sharpened and they have a mouthful of razor sharp, thin teeth that would make eating meat too easy.
So yeah, mermaids are real, basically and they're way more terrifying than what The Little Mermaid told you as a kid.
One day, your character(A) heads down to the beach a little after sunset, which is a big no-no in this town. The curfew for the beach is around 5 PM, just before the sun starts setting, and besides the mermaid myth, nobody really knows why. It's been enforced for decades and decades and nobody's questioned it. Anyway, A heads down to the beach for some alone time, equipped with a flashlight, a bag with a blanket, some snacks, and books to read with a lantern light, and starts looking for a place to settle down for a few hours, when they hear some heavy splashing coming from a few yards away. A goes to investigate only to come face to face with a creature of myth-- a hecking mermaid.
Said mermaid, my character(B), is injured, it seems. They have been washed up from the open ocean and are stuck in a rock pool up on shore, and the more they struggle, the worse it gets. A walks over to B, seeing that they're stuck and they're not that threatening, and asks if they need help. Immediately, B gnashes their sharp teeth, snarling that another step close would result in some food for B, and A just snorts and leaves them to be stuck in the rocks.
Unfortunately, the mermaids of lore have been rumored to have both a functioning set of lungs and a functioning set of gills, but living underwater for most of their lives, the lungs have slowly ceased to be needed often and the gills work more. So the longer B is on the shore, the less air they're getting, and they're slowly dying. Very slowly. This becomes apparent to A, when the breaths get ragged and slow, and they go back over to help B, who is now too weak to do anything about the human helping them. A gets B free and helps them back into the water, and B swims off without a second thought, though leaves a trail of blood behind them because you know, injured.
Fast forward a few days after that, A goes back to the beach after dark and sees the mermaid, B, above water slightly. B ducks down again, but realizes who it is and resurfaces, and says they've been waiting to see A again, to thank them for saving B's life, in form of a dead fish that B caught. A's a bit speechless because these are? Man-eating creatures? And this one is thanking them for saving it? By giving them a dead fish as a gift? Weird, but okay. Free food for the night.
Days and days go by, where A is going down to the beach to meet with B, and as they get more comfortable with each other, A starts swimming with B, and they bond over teaching each other new things. Possible romance? Probably.
That's long as heck but yeah. Basically, I'd want to start where Muse A finds Muse B on the shore, washed up in the rock pool, and just continue from there. This was like an outline of what I want to happen, kinda. We don't have to follow it exactly, that'd be kinda hard, but yeah.
Does B want to eat A still??? Will A try and tell other humans that they've met a nice mermaid? Will B actually eat humans in this plot? Join in to find out!
If you want to claim this, just state so, then post a little description of your character! No personality, please! Let that be discovered through roleplay, though you should keep the plot description in mind with the slight sarcasm and such.

Eri de la Renta - 24 years old - male
Light and lean at 5'5'', Eri is the unassuming sort. Not impressive, easy to skip over. He has brown skin with dark freckles splattered over his small nose and over his cheeks. There are some over his shoulders, too. He has a mole underneath his left eye - and said eyes are probably the most striking part about his appearance, being a pale blue. His left eye is half brown on the lower half. He's like, 90% leg. Seriously. His legs are long and he has a runner's build, so it works out well. His tousled hair is fluffy and soft to the touch, dark brown-black in colour with lighter hints here and there from the sun. The underneath of his bangs is still dyed a vague purple-pink colour. Eri tends to wear purple-based clothing; a button-up shirt and black waistcoat, black skinny jeans with tears in the thighs and purple-and-white canvas shoes. In colder weather, he'll wear a black bomber jacket. He usually has bracelets lining his forearms right up to the crease of his elbows; braided leather, plain leather bands, beaded bracelets and even sea glass bracelets. His left ear has an industrial bar and he has a tongue piercing, and it's often noted that his canines are sharper than most's. From time to time, his nails will be painted purple - just because he can. He's a transgender man and he's currently a year on T. Eri runs a podcast about the strange happenings of the town, and it's surprisingly popular. His first language was Spanish and he is of Puerto Rican descent.

Toby - looks about 27 in human years, is actually like 112 - male - faceclaim of Mark Fischbach
Thanks to living in the ocean and being secluded for most of his life, Toby's skin is a stark, pasty white color. Though, if he's on the surface of the water too long, or above water at all, his skin tans into a soft, golden brown color, that ends up faded when he goes back under. He tries to act like he doesn't care but, he totally cares. His hair is dark brown, almost black, and always slicked back from the water, but if he's ever out long enough for it to dry(which is never), it's floofy and falls just below his ears. His jaw is covered in the same dark brown scruff that just makes his jawline even sharper than it already was. Continuing with his face, his eyes are a deep, chocolate brown, and he often uses the proclaimed "puppy dog eyes" for literally anything if he can, and it almost always works. His teeth stick true to the myth and are razor sharp and paper thin, equaling to Toby having a lot of teeth. His torso, arms included, is muscular, like most mermaids, and is bare, showing the multitude of scars and gashes he's gotten in his one hundred and twelve years of living. He's been in too many shark fights. A bare torso also means that his gill slits are visible, just below his ribcage. They're small, and at first glance they could look just like scars but nope, those are his gill slits. At the end of each arm is a handful of sharp claws that that heck you up.
Onto the tail. Toby's tail is long and elegant, but he's actually one of the smaller mermaids of his tribe. The scales are a bright, blood red, that look even brighter when he's close to the surface. The don't glow, but they're definitely reflective and will shine back any light, making them look pink in other lights. His tail and his upper body are met by a dorsal fin that's about the length of a forearm, and is light pinkish red in color. His tail flattens out, up and down, into something like a shark's tail, and just before that he has another dorsal fin, a smaller one, that helps him swim a bit. So, instead of his tail moving up and down like a traditional mermaid, his tail moves side to side. It makes him faster than a lot of things when he puts his mind to it.
