Tick let out a content chirp. Eric nodded. "Yes, that's me... Nice to meet you professor," he said, brushing off a few raindrops from his hair.

Eric bent down to look at the pokémon. Wybit seemed like a kind of dragon. It puffed out some smoke, causing Tick to hide in Erix's backpack. Alright, not Wybit, then. Basulf was just a bush... no, wait, it was a canine. The fur was misleading. Finally, there was Ticub. It meowed and sat down, wagging its fin-like tail. He rubbed its ears, and it purred. "I guess I'll choose you... Stripe." The ticub meowed at its new name.

"Thanks, I will!" Eric took Stripe's poke ball and put it into his backpack. Stripe hopped off the table to walk beside his new trainer. Tick peeked out at the new pokémon, chirping as if to say hello.

"Your okder sister's the gym leader?" Eric asked. He let Tick hop down to greet the other pokémon. At the word "gym," Stripe let out what was supposed to be a roar. Apparently, he was excited about battling something.

Stripe meowed back, slamming his front paws onto the floor.
"Yeah, you can come. H-hey, Stripe, don't pick fights! That's a grass-type!" At Eric's words, Stripe stopped flexing his claws and sat down.

(gotta go for now)
Eric ran outside after her, with his two pokémon close behind. Stripe meowed happily as he leapt into a patch of grass.

"So... could you lead the way? I just moved to Agada recently..." Eric said sheepishly. He let Tick climb up onto his shoulder for a ride.

"Ah, right, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Eric, and this is Tick," he said, shaking her hand. Tick chirped at her. "Nice to meet you."
"Ti!" Stripe said, wanting to join in on the conversation.

"Yeah, let's go." Eric adjusted his backpack and waited for Becca to lead the way. Stripe purred and wagged his tail.

As they walked, Stripe pounced onto every patch of grass they passed. Soon, Sparkfield was in sight, but...
"That's a lot of tall grass... we'll have to be careful about wild pokémon," Eric noted. Stripe apparently didn't hear him, and pounced into another patch of grass.

"Hm? Yeah, go ahead," Eric said. Stripe meowed at the grass before leaping into the pond as well. His fin-tail let him swim quickly through the water.
Tick chittered nervously at a little movement in the grass. The fan-like tail feathers of a majepi were visable, especially with their pink color.

"A shiny feebas?" Eric muttered, walking over to see. Stripe meowed and gave Beauty a playful bat with his webbed paw. Shiny pokémon were really rare, and feebas wasn't the most common pokémon out there...

Eric nodded. "I guess she's not really that different from other pokémon. She's still a happy feebas." Tick chirped in agreement. The joltik glared at the tall grass again, as if expecting that majepi to jump out.

(Sounds good)
Eric stared at the pokémon's beatiful feathers. "I had no idea they were so colorful."
Stripe yowled and playfully batted at Feathers.

"I can see that... and Stripe, stop that!" Eric picked Stripe up before the ticub could try play-fighting with Feathers. Stripe meowed sadly and wriggled in Eric's arms. "Let's keep going, although I think we'll meet some wild pokémon on the way there..."
