They're adorable! Basulf may benefit from some leaves around his neck or a leafy tail, so he doesn't look like just a green pup.
The 2nd evolution could be called Bushulf (bush + wolf) or Wulfine (wolf + vine), and the 3rd (the dark green one) can be Lycanthorn (lycanthrope + thorn)

So, region professor... Professor Aspen, maybe? Unless you have a name already.

Now for a region name... I'm never good at those...

Maybe Agada? It sounds neat, but it's really just Canada and agua smooshed together

Neat! Since Sparkfield will have the bug gym, maybe the gym leader could have a vikavolt. Maybe the town is partially powered by members of the grubbin line!
Lake Town could house the water gym, or...
Deluge City- A place near Lake Town. It is almost always rainy, due to the Rain Dance of cheerful ludicolo. The water gym is here.
Marshvale- A town built directly on a swamp. The buildings, gym, and walkways literally float on top!
Mist Town- A town trapped in an eerie fog. Not many live here save for the gym leader and some residents. Eerie sounds come from the graveyard at night, although it's usually just mischievous ghost-types. Usually.
Waterside City- A large city that is the home of the poison gym. Unfortunately, pollution has claimed the lake next to the city.
Silver Town- Also known as Geartown, due to being the center of the mechanical industry. The gym itself contains gear-based puzzles!
Meadowville- A peaceful town in an open field. Faires drift lazily around the massive lone tree in the town's center, which the gym surrounds.

Perfect! And I have a place named after me now That hill kinda reminds me of that place where you can walk around with your pokémon in the Sinnoh games

Alright, now that the places are decided, what's next?

Should the gym leaders be positions people can claim? And with the leftovers, we can create them as the need arises.

Alright! Now onto some more pokemon...
I'm guessing that we'll need more fakemon besides the starters. A new bug-type would be a good idea, since the bug gym is early enough to show off its evolutions. Maybe it can be a pill bug/roly-poly? A rock/bug pokemon would be neat...

Yep! Peacocks are really neat, and they'd make for very good pokemon. Maybe they vary a lot in appearance, kind of like vivolon (butchered that spelling) and spinda. Which, of course, is why they'd be a very popular pokemon for breeders and contests~
The peacock pokemon could be called Majepi, a combination of majesty and peacock. It could be a very vain pokemon, and its tail feathers could resemble a fancy fan.

And the lil roly-poly could be...
Larvoll(bug), combo of larva and roll- A small white larva with gray crack-like markings. It curls up into a ball to move, since it has no legs.
Rollug(bug), combo of roll and bug- A silver bug with a hard shell. It is nearly immobile, curled up in a silver sphere as it grows.
Rollder(bug/rock), combo of roll and boulder- Its shell is hidden under various rocks and pebbles, which create a rocky "armor." Only its small legs and antenna (the latter of which is its only form of sight) can be seen under this protective outer cover.

So, as for other pokemon, a fossil pokemon or two would fit due to a mining town! Some ideas:
Hopter(rock/flying), combo of hop and helicopter- A pterodactl-like pokemon, but built for speed rather than brutality. It cannot fly with its wings, but glides instead. The two stones on its tail act like propellors to lift itself into the air, and then it can glide down to get from place to place. (Evolution would be called Chopter)
Burgo(rock/grass), combo of burr and stegosaurus- A green, spiky pokemon with a spear-like tail. Despite its appearance, it is a peaceful pokemon that prefers to graze rather than fight. However, it will defend itself by flexing its spines.

Of course! We can't leave out lil archen, or even the awesome cranidos!
With a fairy legendary, it might be nice to create fairy types!
Magi-Hen(fairy/flying), combo of magician and hen, always female- A chicken-like pokemon with robe-like feathers. It caries anything stick-like it can find to cast its fairy-type moves, from twigs to brushes stolen from humans.

Good idea... A good counterpart to Magihen would be...
Sorster(dark/fairy), combo of sorcerer and rooster- Unlike Magihen, Sorster practices darker magic, which is most effective at dawn. It announces its spells with a loud call. Strangely, Magihen are drawn to it, although it will chase off any other Sorster that come close.

Miscelanious pokemon that may or may not be used:
Scoucub(normal), scout and cub- A small cat cub with spots. A stripe runs diagonally across its chest and back, making it look like it wears a sash. Its tail is short and fluffy. It is able to adapt to most climates.
Scouta(fighting), scout and cheetah, evolution of Scoucub- A bipedal feline with spots and a fluffy tail (the tail is similar to Mega Lucario's). It has the same sash-stripe as Scoucub, and wears a belt with two pouches. Its speed is almost as impressive as its stamina.
Cobroot/Cobrush/Cobrill(all dragon/grass)- This evolutionary line is a group of leafy serpents. Cobroot is nearly covered in its long leaves, and Cobrush has a mane of leaves that obscures its face. Both of these pokemon are ill-tempered and have leaf-arms to support their snake-like bodies. Cobrill, however, is calm and its leafy wings and long body sway in the wind. All of them have root-like tails.
