When his phone was returned to him, Gale blinked at the option. Huh. A second pizza, or up it to large? He calculated the cost in his head before shrugging lightly and choosing to up the pepperoni pizza to a large. It would be easy enough to share, and there'd be leftovers for the morning. Then, they'd be grocery shopping, or something. Or...one of them would be? He knew he was going to go. Honestly, he wasn't too sure if Iona would want to come or not.
"I made it a large," he responded idly, "I'm gonna set up my Wii U in the living room. Uh - you don't have anything you want to watch, right?" his eyebrows raised as he slipped his phone into his pocket and gave a lopsided smile, "because if so, I can wait until later or something."
Being considerate was the bane of his existence, but hey! He had been raised that way. To think about his peers, to offer choices rather than demand to do something. In his pocket, his phone vibrated softly as his mother herself texted him, but he could respond later. She would not mind.
[ beep short reply im sorry ]

(No problem xxx It's still early in the morning haha)
Sharing was good. More leftovers. And Iona didn't have some problem with having cold pizza for breakfast. It would be delicious.
"No, it's fine, go set it up," Iona responded "I'm just going to check I've unpacked everything"
With that she went back into her bedroom, leaving the door open just in case Gale had something to ask her or something.
It looked alright, her suitcases were empty. So she moved the suitcases under her bed, since she wouldn't be needing them anytime soon. They'd be fine under there for now, she thought. They wouldn't get damaged.
She fished around in her purse for the money to pay for her half of the food. Once she had the right amount, she put it in her pocket for easy access when the food was delivered. She was sorted, in that case.
With that she re-emerged from her room, loosening her bun as she did. Sometimes she braided her hair but a bun was her usual style, since it kept her hair well out of her way if she did any dancing or anything like that. And it had kept her cool on the stuffy drive to the appartment. So it was a win-win for her.

[ half ten is not early but i didnt sleep so im (^^^^: henlo world ]
It didn't take long to set his console up (he may or may not have set up his PS4 too), and so he made sure the wires were tucked away safely and that nothing would be a bother. After a long few moments, he set the gamepad of his Wii U on its stand and instead chose to grab the controller for his PS4, settling on the sofa and tucking his legs underneath him. Time for a game of Overwatch. That would chill him out.
He tilted his head back when he heard Iona and gave her a two-fingered salute.
"Pizza in an hour," he told her, "also ordered a two litre bottle of Pepsi, because Coke is the devil's advocate and you are immediately unfriended if you accept their influence."
It was a joke, told by the faint smile on his lips.

(Fair enough x It's so nice to rp with someone in the same timezone for once haha)
Iona laughed at Gale's joke as she seated herself on an armchair in the living room, where she could still get the last of the evening sun. She liked doing that, so she supposed this would probably be her seat now in the evening times.
"The Coke vs Pepsi debate," Iona smiled "Well I'm happy to say I'm with you on that one,"
When Iona saw that both the Wii U and a PS4 had been set up, she smiled. He really did like his gaming. Iona had never really been a gamer, only playing a few games here and there, and she wasn't very good. But Gale clearly loved these things, considering he'd brought two of them in his luggage. But then Iona understood that; she'd brought her guitar with her, hadn't she? She could have had it sent over but chose to carry it with her instead. So she understood loving something so much you needed to have it with you all the time.
This evening was already turning out to be really nice, she thought. Maybe this would be the start of a great friendship.

[ SAME TIMEZONE im in wales lolll now tell me u love me bc literally Everyone ive met hates me bc im welsh. i play ovw competitively and i had someone throw just bc im welsh LOLLLl i love how petty scots are if ur not scot we'll be fine ]
"Ahh," Gale grinned, "now I don't have to kick you out and find a new room-mate."
He crossed his legs and shifted his weight slightly, playing with something like ease as he focused on both the game and his new roommate. He wrinkled his nose a little and tilted his head to the side. Conversation. Riiight. That was definitely a thing, he supposed.
"So," he said idly, "I'm into games. What are you into, outside of performing arts and having good opinions on pop?" he asked with a slow smile. His gaze was forward, focused on the television. It was a decent one. It didn't stutter like the old one had at his old flat. Ey. Win-win.

(I'm not Scot, I'm English xx
Also YES I LOVE YOU xx I love Welsh accents and Welsh people are always so nice and omg I have a Welsh friend and she's the nicest person omg)
"Yeah, I guessed you liked your games" Iona smiled "Well I love musical theatre, but that's still performing arts. Hmm... I love music. Playing the guitar and stuff. Dance. I guess I'm a book person too; I loved English Literature in school. What about you? Apart from games, I mean."
Iona wasn't the sort of person to talk about herself for too long. She didn't really feel like she was all that interesting. Most everything she liked was related to performing arts or musical theatre in some way or another. But hey, she supposed her musical talents distinguished her a little. She'd tried drawing and things but she couldn't draw for toffee; she was too impatient to do detail.
And she wanted to find out more about her roommate. She was going to be spending a considerable amount of time in his company, after all, since they lived in the same appartment and both did Performing Arts.

[ free from the wrath of the scots
HAHA i dont have a real welsh accent bc i bounced around a lot but. rhondda valleys boi is me LOL ]
"Oh boy, she's also Sherlock," he laughed quietly, tilting his head back, "whatever next. Pretty interesting, though. Uh. Hm. Apart from games."
Gale squinted up at the ceiling as if this was a real question he had to truly debate. Aside from games and Performing Arts? He had a lot of loves. He had a lot of love to give; he was one of those people. He clicked his tongue as he was sent into a game on the screen, and focused on that while he talked.
"I like baking and birds and books. All Bs. Hilarious, because I had all As in my GCSEs," aside from Science but no-one had to talk about that. No-one. Shh. "Ehh, I like playing the keyboard a lot but I guess that's more because of my arts. Oh. Special-effects makeup is my jam. So like, don't be surprised if you come back one day and I have a huge gash in my face. Unless I am genuinely distressed, it's probably make-up."
It was a good chance to warn her, he supposed.

Haha true!
Omg I hate my accent. All I'll say is, think Geordie Shore. My accent isn't as strong as that but it's sort of there. It makes me sound so dumb oh my God)
The young woman laughed at his warning. Well, Gale was nice. And quite funny. They'd probably get along quite well.
"Wow, interesting," Iona smiled "You like a lot of stuff. Special effects makeup is awesome. I can't do it myself, of course, but it always looks cool. I used to have a friend who did it. The pranks we did on people were endless"
That had always been a laugh. People never expected Iona to prank people, which is what made it so effective when her friend gave her fake wounds or something. Of course, they never pranked the same person twice; it wouldn't work. But it was always a laugh. She really liked that kind of thing. Always had.
And, hey, he played the keyboard. That was cool. It would be good to have someone else musical around her. Might give her more confidence.

[ SCOTS R SCARY LOL
aaaaa lol so ur northern? ]
"I have a lot of love to give," Gale shrugged with one shoulder and leaned back, stretching his legs out in front of him. "Too much! Gotta love everything, but makeup will always have a special place in my heart. Except glitter. Like, not the small tiny stuff, but the larger stuff. Y'know stuff in primary that you use to get everywhere? Yeah, that's not fun. Had a green glitter crisis two years ago. I am still finding green glitter in my belongings to this very day."
It was a horror story. He scratched his nose idly before running his tongue over his lip.
"Anyway, eh. Where you from? Or are you local?" he raised a single eyebrow, glancing at her very briefly.

(Indeed I am. So very Northern XD
Yeah I just tend to find Scots sort of intense? Most of them I've met are nice, but they're SO intense XD)
"Oh, I'm from Cookstown, near Belfast. But I moved to Northampton with my family when I was about twelve. What about you?"
That was why Iona's accent was not so strong. It had been a strong accent when she was young but it had faded over the years to only a slight lilt. Which was good because otherwise she might have been inclined to consider accent reduction classes, which she didn't really want to do. They were expensive and she preferred that her voice sounded distinctive but not too strong. She wanted something to make her stand out, and the striking contrast between her pale skin, dark hair and blue eyes wasn't enough.

[ i like the north more than the south LOL
very very intense most i meet are hostile but some have been decent ]
"Decent," he crossed his legs again, shifting his weight some more. He had never been able to sit still - Gale was an eternal moving force, always needing to do something to keep his attention span from drifting. "Egypt. Technically."
Gale gave her a wicked sharp grin, something that vanished in a brief second, and he turned the game off in favour of actual television. The controller sat in his lap, now untouched since he wasn't playing anything. He wasn't quite sure what to do - moving in had been simple enough, but he didn't have a huge amount of his belongings. Just. Gaming and make-up things. Hm. Maybe he should've rethought that.
"Languages?"

Me too but I'm biased x)
Iona smiled "Fair enough. Languages? English, Gaelic, French. What about you?"
She had noticed that Gale couldn't seem to sit still. Iona wondered if he possesed some of the same nervous energy she did. Maybe, though he didn't seem half as shy as Iona was, so perhaps not. She couldn't be sure.
Iona had learned Gaelic because, well, some people spoke that in Ireland. She had friends who spoke Gaelic and she had decided to learn so she could talk with them. Her own family didn't speak Gaelic, only when it was absolutely necessary, but it seemed almost everyone knew Gaelic just in case. Iona was not exception.

"Egyptian Arabic, Spanish, English, and Russian," all languages that had been learned due to eidetic memory, but hey! He wasn't about to flaunt that. "I'm a linguist. Learn languages better than most things."
Gale gave a little shrug and tucked his legs underneath himself again, resting an elbow on the arm of the sofa and half-closing his eyes. He supposed that pizza would be here soon - but he found that he wasn't really that hungry. Maybe he'd eat a little just to satisfy his stomach, or something. Mostly, he was tired.
"Look at us. All roommatey and stuff."

Iona smiled "Yes, well, us being all roommatey is kind of the idea."
She was quite surprised by the number of languages he spoke. And Iona thought she was good with languages. Gale was truly impressive.
Iona, too, was thinking about the pizza that would soon be coming. She was hungry, she decided, it she knew there would definitely be plenty of leftovers. She wasn't complaining. Leftovers were good. Best way to spread out costs.
