Hallo, I redid the Into the Wild cover and thought I'd post it here. The mint colour is the dustcover with this as the actual bookcover underneath, revealed partially by the W scratch-shaped holes in the jacket: Detail of logo typography:

This cover looks legit. I liked the old cover because it did have Rusty/Firepaw, but your interpretation is more modern-day looking. I like it a lot.

Thanks dude. I did try to have Rusty on there (he's meant to be the curious kit on the front) but I couldn't get the shade of orange right and he ended up looking like a brownish tabby. I love the original cover too, but that might be out of nostalgia more than whether or not I thought it was designed well. I thought that maybe it needed a bit of an update from the 2003 original. I tried to have the traditional and the modern collide (like the Clans and Rusty's 'outsider' ideals), but it probably came out looking more modern than I intended. Thanks for the feedback!

I love it. It's simple, elegant, and pretty. c: It does have that modern and simple theme to it, almost an "adult" like feel to it. I figure if someone would pick this up for a bookstore and look the cover, they probably wouldn't guess it's a book about talking cats that survive in the woods.

Aaah that looks cool. It's reminiscent of the old one because of the typography and colours, but with a modern take. I love nice book cover designs.

Wow! That's really cool. I like the way that it looks like someone, an animal 'most likely', scratched a W into it. Good job!

What material did you use to make the cover?

What material did you use to make the cover? Oh, the first image is just a mockup. The scratches were done on ordinary printer paper with scissors then scanned in to get that torn texture. I tried to get my cats to scratch it but they weren't having it.
