cool friend right outside the door! brown fishing spiders can bite, but they are far more likely to run away, and bites are no more serious than a bee sting except in rare cases of allergy this friend was on the screen door as you can see; while taking pictures I was thinking "huh I sure hope this isn't a jumping spider;" everything was fine, but I looked up pictures of spiders and yes this is a jumping spider

I love spiders! my mom actually found this one first (she had to recycle something) and called me over to look at it

So pretty, and I'm also glad you didn't kill it. People are afraid of spiders, but we're the ones that constantly kill them for no other reason than an irrational fear. I absolutely love spiders and arachnids in general. We have a widow as well as tarantulas and scorpions, and they would 100% always prefer to run than bite, as long as they have an escape route. If there's any phobia out there that's actually justified, it would definitely be fear of humans.
