-august 2015 then august 2016 with the new ones then april 2017 off topics has always been my favorite lol when i had FIRST joined i was in the 81 page chat with Brooksie, S'more if i'm right, purple003, and the other forum Cool Kids TM as i tried my best to ft in except i was really young and annoying and HalfMoon123 but now i'm a mature responsible 13 Year Old(TM) i feel like the users definitely grew with the forums either pull the trigger piglet or the post with the really bad comic of the users dancing to hamilton that i drew if i dig through my oldest computer's storage drive i may be able to find the comic Wait you were on old WCF? I just thought you stumbled upon these forums and was like "okay cool it's a cat forum I'll join here "

i joined the wcf march 26, 2012. (though i created my sand dollar account july 2013). i was an avid roleplayer in the fanclans and otrp forum, and i didn't really become a frequent presence in the otd until i started posting as sand dollar mid-2013. 2014 i practically lived in the OTD, like i spent 80% of my waking hours on there and my thoughts orbited around the wcf when i was offline. i had some of the best times then and it helped me get through middle school, but my obsession with posting was totally unhealthy. i'm glad i was able to start weaning myself off the wcf 2015-2016.
i was sad to see the wcf go though, and i sometimes find myself thinking of some of the older users who left that heavily impacted me: graywave, fox, mushroom, goosesoul (? run by kale, or whoever that was). i joined the wcrf within 24 hours of its creation, i think.

Yeah, you probably did. I was super active when I first joined, left for a few years and then was active again for probably like half a year before the old ones shut down. Although, I pity you, you probably interacted with me in my snobby teen phase, haha

I think 2015 (i suck at keeping track of years) but i stalked wcf frequently, beginning sometime around 2012. or earlier. possibly.
was part of that "chat and gain activity points" thread tho. throwback to the fight between the Jayfeathers.
i've always hung out in OTD so I guess that's my favorite section?
idk what my favorite memory is its been a while
EDIT: technically this isn't a favorite memory but once there was a forum wide war between people with different avatars
there's also purplee's crazy 20-something clan rp

I can't even remember by now- I think I first joined in 7th or 8th grade, so in either 2010 or 2011, more likely 2011.
I've evolved from being a terrible roleplayer to a cringy cat debater and finally who I am now- a confused 20-year-old who knows what she wants to do with her life but is too afraid to make it happen and so just hangs around here.

I don't really remember, but it was after 2010. Maybe 2014? I lurked for like a year or so before actually joining.
Naturally, my favorite section was (and still is) OTRP. Probably because I've roleplayed for years now.
My favorite memories are probably cakeengland's Saga of Scenarios. It was a fun game (the kind where you assign characters a number, then insert them into the presented situations) based on Kingdom Hearts. It spawned over 20 parts, some spinoffs, and a tight-knit cult group of friends. It's where I met awesome people like X (their name is Blueberry-X on here right now).
And I can't forget the Paradox House! It's a fun rp that I met awesome people in. It's still even going today!

I'm just going to use this as an excuse to tell you about my forum life. Anyway, technically, I joined July 2012. But I was lurking since 2010, early 2011. Once again, the 'technically' comes into play, because I wouldn't call myself an active forumer until July 2013. Why is that you might ask? Because I wasn't really supposed to be on the forums. Not actively posting, at least. But I did and pretty much got guilted out of coming back on for a whole year. On top of that, I deleted 90% of the posts I made in the year I wasn't supposed to be posting. So, one of my oldest memories was killing a fic called the Cat with Black Eyes. I posted on there a lot (a lot for back then), and then deleted all my posts except for one. Still feel really guilty for that. So I lurked in the year 2012, early 2013 again and reactivated my account in July 2013. After that, though I followed a lot of fan fictions in the WFF, I hung out in Misc. I did name raters, poll series, all that. Hung out there all of 2013. It was very fun, but not very...interactive. I never really talked with anyone. There really wasn't 'making forum friends' over there. So, 2014 onward was spent in the fan fiction area and I'm there to this day. The red forums killed me and I complained about it for ages. The blue ones were worse. I remember that every time I went on any sort of lengthy trip, as soon as I'd come back there would be another 'the forums are getting updated' thing. The one time that didn't happen (that goodness) was when the forums shut down. Anyway, what random things do I remember... Hum. We tried to make a WFF history. Got some interesting stuff. SweetShine's Elimination Contest is the most notable, but a few random small things would be the Twoleg-to-cat phase. Turn all those humans to cats!

Theres been a lot of characters on there over the years, I hate it when people just delete unique usernames or just leave because thats the end of them forever. I lost contact with lot of great poeple like that. Thought I would take a trip down memory lane and revisit the remaining of the childish choas of a conflict that occurred on WCF in late 2011. Good times. Those were the dayz

I started lurking in around 2011, I think, before OTD and OTRP were separate. I joined in about 2013, and I remember being on OTD when people like Cloudsplash, Mercy, Rawr! and Larka's Blessing were popular. I spent most of my time in The Cats when I lurked, but after I joined I spent most of my time on OTD.
Some of my favourite memories are the Time Lord Party thread, Cloudsplash's pick-up line threads, and Matt-Mod answering my question about what his favourite Star Trek series was. (Remember when the mods actually talked to the members?) Also, that time people started writing a fanfiction about the mods and the mods actually helped them by contributing facts about themselves.
Does anyone else remember the Matt/Mary shippers? That was weird...

i remember Matt mentioning once that he read the warriors books while in the hospital so it blurred by for him
I'm pretty sure the only mods I ever got to sign my siggie were WCM (Dave) and Matt

I opened up an account in October of 2010 I think, but I didn't actually use it for another two years. oops.
they've changed quite a bit I think. as the users get older and people care less about the books that started it all it makes sense that things would drift. most of it has been for the better. things are a whole lot less cliquey here, and back on the old forums even mentioning the existence of lgbt people or, god forbid, sharing your pronouns, could get you banned. even now, I can hear HarperCollins screeching 'tHINK OF THE CHILDREN' in my nightmares...
probably otrp tbh. it's generally such a nice place and there are some great people/writers over there. pretty fond of the art forum, too, even if I never post any of my own art. I probably should.
it sounds awful to say but I found the chaos that came from the 2013 update to be hilarious. nobody knew what they were supposed to do. the 2015 update was pretty insane too, but it was nothing compared to what happened in 2013. the pingu craze was pretty funny, too, but only for like .2 seconds before it got annoying. and, of course, pull the trigger piglet. iconic.
edit: no, you know what, my favourite memory was back when we found out that lgbt, gay, lesbian, etc, were no longer banned terms but the rules didn't change so people still got in trouble for using them but nobody cared and just broke the rules anyway. good times.
