"Mmm I'm not sure," Simon paused, checking his schedule before brightening up. "Oh awesome- I have orchestra this hour- uh, you wanna meet up infront of the practice rooms?" He suggested, eager to set off now towards the music hall. He could practically feel the strings on his fingers already. He fixed his glasses, wincing as another guy pushed past him, causing him to stumble slightly, his balance not the best. He flashed whoever it was a dirty look, but used to it. Most didn't notice him anyways.

Once he couldn't find Chicago in the mess of students Simon quickly scurried to his next class- AP Physics, sliding down into one of the seats, stiffening when he heard someone mutter a nasty slur towards him and he turned around in his seat, giving them a dirty look. "D'ya mind?" He snapped, shooting the boy a dirty look, knowing that talking back wouldn't help him any but still just wanting the idio to shut up. Throughout the class he tried to concentrate, but the idiot and his friends continued to kick the back of his seat, throw wads of paper at his back when the teachers back was turned and it was making it incredibly hard to concentrate. Part of him just wanted to stand up and punch one of the guys in the face- he could fight, he was pretty good at it to. That was a product of him growing up in Atlanta and needing to learn how to protect himself, and the fact that he'd gotten in a number of fights at his old school. He could take hits- thanks to his bully of an older brother, and he had the bruises on his chest and back to prove it. But instead he said nothing, keeping his head low as he wrote his notes, correcting the idiots multiple times when they gave the incorrect answer, smirking until he slipped out of the class and found himself being shoved into the locker, head cracking against the metal painfully. "Dont you ever correct me in class again, you hear me?" He growled, but Simon didn't answer, scowling from behind his glasses, staring at the wall before he was whirled around so he was forced to stare at the guy. "Idiot," Simon sneered, earning himself a slap across his face, making his ears ring and cheek sting. His glasses fell off his face during the violent motion, but he still remained petulant. "Whatever, gimp," the boy sneered, and Simons blood turned to ice at that comment, before remembering his brother transferred schools as well. 'And to think I'd actually be able to slip under the radar' he thought bitterly, feeling the hands that had been holding him up against the locker fall away. Simon slid down, searching for the papers and books that had been dropped- and his glasses, most importantly. He was less scared than in a bad mood, the scowl on his face making that much clear. His cheek was red, turning into a faint bruise that'd be clear by the end of the day.

Simon let out a soft snort, shaking his head when he heard Chicagos voice. He wasn't going to lie- he was really happy to hear that dry tone as he glanced up, giving him a rather wicked grin, happy he was close enough so he could actually see his friend. "Nah. Just ticked off the wrong guy in my physics class. Apparently he hates being corrected," he responded, still searching for his glasses, which ended up near the trash cans. He was still a bit shaken up, the slightest tremble in his hands proved that. He'd been hoping his brother wouldn't bring up that horrid nickname, but apparently he did and soon everyone in the school would know. He winced inwardly at that thought, hating the thought of being "tha tkid" again.

"Nah, I ended up dropping all of my stuff, im a little jumpy," he explained in an attempt to sooth his new friend. He winced as a thumb brushed over his quickly forming bruise, the skin tender, surprised at the anger that was surfing through his new friend. "H-hey, it's not big deal, seriously. I egged 'Em on, called him an idiot," he explained softly, stopping his search for his glasses.

Simon frowned, noticing his quick change of mood, realizing he was being pushed away, just a little bit. He leaned against the lockers for a few more minutes, taking his glasses and putting them on carefully, glad that they weren't broken. He then hauled himself up, determined to figure out the sudden change of behavior, what had happened to make him like that. "Alright, you lead the way to the bakery, then," he responded, shifting slightly as he adjusted his backpack, feeling as if others where staring at him. He hated that feeling, slouching forward in attempts to become shadow like again. He had no intentions of having others notice him.

"No- please do. I don't have my liscence yet," Simon responded, looking embarassed at the thought. He had his permit, sure, but he'd gotten sick by the time he'd been ready to take the drivers tssf. Then he lost his leg and had to relearn driving all over again, which is what he was working on currently. He threw his own bag in the backseat, sliding into the car, feeling nervous all of a sudden. No. Don't do that- he clearly isn't interested in a relationship. He just needed to get rid of all of those potential feelings- just see the guy as a friend. He hoped he'd be able to do that, although given his own history he wasn't quite sure.

"I couldn't agree with you anymore," Simon responded wryly, watching the town with interest as it flew by. His fingers tapped rhythms nervously on his knees, unable to contain the butterflies that were fluttering in his stomach. When they made it to the bakery he startled, having become lost in though on their way to the area. He flashed his friend a grin, his own stomach growling as he stepped out and smelt the sweets and baked goods. "C'mon," he hummed, grabbing his own wallet as he set off for the entrance, this time opening the door for Chicago, the smell of food making him dizzy as he stomach growled again.

"Hmm," Simon scrunched his face up as he attempted to decide what he wanted to eat. Eventually he ordered a simple turkey sandwhich- just the turkey and Swiss cheese, with croissant bread, and adding a Coke to drink, his Atlantan coming out as he did so. He was a die-hard Coke fan, much like most others who live there. He blushed at his own plain order- he was an incredibly picky eater, so he usually didn't go out unless he knew there was something he'd be able to eat. Here he like the food, he knew beforehand because it was a bakery and he had an affinity towards pastries. "Yeah- dessert sounds great. Do they have Baklava here?" He asked hopefully, loving the flaky dish. He quickly paid, murmuring a quick, shy thank you to the lady before returning to his friends side.

Simon flashed him a knowing look, able to understand. He had quite a few allergies himself, although most of them were allergies to drugs (and peanuts and shellfish, although he'd never had shellfish to begin with anyways.). He pulled on the sleeves of his sweater, an old habit of his as he shivered at the AC. "Man, that sucks. I'm guessing gluten is one of them?" He asked, remembering what he had ordered before. He studied the bakery in interest, loving every piece of it, especially the smells.

Chicago gave a small nod. "And tomatoes, lactose, peanuts lots of spices, shellfish, bee stings, pollen, mold, medicines, and avocados. Especially avocados." A faint memory of his ER visit due to avocados made the boy shudder. "I'm pretty much your average kid who's allergic to most anything you put in front of him." A soft laugh escaped his lips. "It's fine though. It's not too bad living without things." Shrugging, he ran a hand through his hair and waited for his order to be called. Once it was, he went up and grabbed his, Simon's, and a glass for water. "Where do you want to sit?" Almost the entire bakery was empty since they had the late lunch hour.

"Hey- I'm allergic to peanuts and shellfish too. That, and pollen, cat dander, dog dander, sulfa drug, penicillin, Ibuprofin, and apparently certain forms of latex." He winced at that memory, remembering when his throat had closed up after the nurses had finished putting in his IV, and they found out that because of his immune system being shot his minor latex allergy had turned into a fairly major one. He still broke out in hives when he was near balloons, and a few times his throat started to close up. Simons grimace turned into a grin at the sight of the food, before pointing to a small table next to the window. "How about there?" He suggested, making his way over and sitting down.

"Jeez, they need to be more careful," Simon muttered, shaking his head in annoyance. "Just imagine if they forgot to put avocado in it- they coulda hurt you," he added, looking worried. He was happy it was only a rash, he knew how scary allergic reactions could be. He had finished the cheese, offering the other guy half of his turkey. He bit his lip, now worried about trying the baklava, he knew a few restaraunts who put peanuts in it, so he didn't want to try it anymore.
