Roleplay Page! [ RP Credit & idea(s) to DireWisps on Lioden ]
The ram, the bull, the heavenly twins, And next the crab, the lion shines, The virgin and the scales, The scorpion, archer, and the goat, The man who holds the watering-pot, And fish with glittering scales.
These are the signs of the zodiac by order of house and age,
Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces
But what if there was another, One who had been cast away by their fellow Zodiac? Ophiuchus. The thirteenth house and ruler of Pluto, a planet that had been denied its place just as Ophiuchus was. he seeks revenge now. 2,500 years after his banishment he is returning to destroy those who have wronged him. The only question is, will it play out like this? Would he be welcomed back into the system, will a fellow Zodiac betray there own and join Ophiuchus's side? Or will Ophiuchus kill the 12 Zodiacs? Only time will tell....

OOC; This RP is open!
Posting two starters below.
• • •
IC; | Alistair | Sagittarius | Open |
Al's attention zeroed in on the target, no less than ten meters from where he stood, bow loaded and arrow launch ready. "One shot, is all it takes to defeat", is what the Aries would tell him, along with; "Alistair be careful!" or, "Alistair you could shoot someone's eye out!" Overprotective and definitely intimidating, the eldest of the Zodiacs trusted Alistair as her own brother and confided in him with most everything that bothered her, he was her "go to" buddy. Alistair let the arrow go, stepping back as an audible ziiiinnnggg broke the silence of the outdoors. He heard the familiar thwap of the arrow hitting the target and went to retrieve it.
Alistair turned to look in Sky's direction, shaking his head thoughtfully before crouching down beside his quiver of arrows and bow, attempting to notch another without the pressure of the Aries testing gaze. "Could you be any less intimidating Sky?"
• • •
| Sky | Aries | Open |
Sky watched Alistair practice with interest, opening her mouth to advise him but thought better of it. After-all, the only thing that the Sagittarius seemed to be good at was Archery, and it wasn't a surprise. She knew Sagiitarians were natural born hunters, no matter the weapon. She hated to believe that animals died for sport, but wasn't about to argue with the Sagittarius about it.She grimaced at the thwap of arrow on wood and quickly imagined a deer or fox standing where the target was, closing her eyes as she did so. She let out a shaky breath, her mind wandering elsewhere.
Sky looked up at Alistair, responding to him in a rather blank tone; "Probably not. If I'm bothering you too much, I'll go."

Smokey Feather -- However you want to... maybe you start off with your character in the town or something, maybe revealing somethings about Ophiuchus and certain thoughts about his plan for the Zodiacs. }

| Seth | Ophiuchus | Open | [ For many centuries, all was well. Peace was present in the absence of the Snake Bearer, who could cast a coiling shadow over even the brightest area of Heaven. The other Signs, who inherited the Earth and Pluto, left him forgotten. Once a bright light, now a hellish beast in the form of man. Cast out and sealed away in the deep oceans of Earth, damned to seemingly eternal drowning in his own element. This lasted 2,500 years, until he was able to surface again. A blackened mass crawled up onto a beach shore, like black water, dripping and oozing corruption. At Ophiuchus' return, the Heavens trembled, his angered aura not going unnoticed to the world, which shook. Tsunamis, floods, hurricanes where none were likely. It all reflected the rage he felt at the betrayal of the other Zodiac.
Seth was sitting outside a local restaurant, eyes casually trailing people as they passed. It had been two years since his return to the surface. He learned quickly though, as if he'd never been away for so long. There was concern for his own planets and people (Pluto especially, which Scorpius took from him), but there were much more important matters to tend to. Patience was something he mastered ever since the Zodiac cast him out of their circle. And it would be needed for the revenge he was to reap. Just the idea of it made him smile softly, only pulled out of his thoughts when a waitress gave him the drink he'd ordered. Taking a sip of the hot tea, Seth resumed his thoughts. Strategy was a strong suit of his. Yet, he'd always wondered, during the past two years, how the others would react to seeing him again. No emotion was on his face anymore, and he just contented himself with his tea and people-watching. ]

| Meredith | Cancer | -- |
[ Meredith was sitting some distance away, watching Alistair shoot his arrow. The distinctive thump of it as it hit its target was strangely satisfying even to Meredith who'd never used a bow in her life and who'd have no idea where to even start if she ever tried. She saw rather than heard Alistair and Sky share words but she didn't pay it any mind. She was fine where she was, in the silence that was disrupted only by the distant sounds of an arrow striking wood and far enough away to be alone but close enough not to be lonely. So she simply lounged back a little further, toyed with the cord on her wrist and watched as Alistair notched his next arrow. ]

Alistair notched the air securely in it's place and pulled the string back rather quickly before letting it go with another sharp thwap as it collided with the wood. He set the bow down near the quiver and went to retrieve his arrow, having to pull a few times to rescue the head of the arrow from it's trap. A plane flew overhead, startling Alistair out of a dreamy faze, causing him to scowl. It wasn't until now that Alistair had noticed the Cancer lounging nearby and he inclined his head thoughtfully, "Enjoy the show Meredith?" He cracked a general smile, securing the arrow with the others tightly with a rubber band before fitting them neatly into the quiver.

Meredith blinked at the sound of a voice, one undeniably directed at her. It took a moment for her focus to shift from the bow and quiver to the Sagittarius using it and then another for her to completely register what he'd said before she quirked a grin. "I guess you could say that," she agreed, tilting her head a little to the side. "It's very satisfying, isn't it? The whole thing," she clarified unhelpfully, her accompanying gesture as vague as the statement itself. "Enjoy giving it?" she returned, nodding to the quiver in his hand. It seemed like he was done, at least for the moment, so she sat forward again, ready to stand.

"Satisfying, perhaps. Definitely a must for me." Shrugging he added; "Its really all I've ever known how to do." Pursing his lips together, Alistair collected the bow and quiver of arrows and walked over to sit beside Meredith on a separate chair, "If your interested, I offer lessons." Pausing momentarily, "for a price." Alistair winked, his eyes gleaming with soft mischief. "I mean, you seem quite interested. Why not give it a try?"

"A price?" Meredith echoed, arching an eyebrow in an expression that turned her words into something between curious inquiry and friendly teasing. "What might that be?" A beat, then, "I guess it just never occurred to me that I could try," she explained. "It's just not something I'd think to do." She preferred to avoid weapons, even her own knives made her uncomfortable at times, and the bow qualified. But it was more than that. There was so much thought that went into archery, and that just wasn't something she was suited for. Still, it did look like fun. From a distance, anyway.

Alistair shrugged, "Understood, but it could always teach you something." He gestured to Sky, still sitting on the steps of the porch with her back against the post, eyeballing the conversation from a distance. "She learned how to throw her knives from me." His attention gradually rested on Meredith again; "I think if you can handle a knife, a bow won't be a problem." He quipped, taking the bow off of his shoulder and handing it to her. He grabbed a practice arrow from his quiver, "Try notching this."

"What have I got to lose?" Meredith mused. She took the bow, bringing it close to her face so that she could properly admire it. She may not understand it, but the handiwork was good and deserved some recognition. "Notch the arrow," she repeated, taking the arrow gingerly and straightening up again. She spent a few seconds inspecting the arrow she'd been given, seeing the depth and location of the notch but failing to understand just what that meant. Oh well. She supposed she might as well try. More slowly than she'd have liked, she placed the arrow against the horizontally held bow, letting it fall against the bent wood that rested on her lap. "Like that?"

No emotion was on his face anymore, and he just contented himself with his tea and people-watching. ] | Leila Adelais | Pisces | Seth | It's odd how some of the most powerful beings on Earth couldn't drum up something as simple as a meal for lunch. Instead of scrapping together a meal for thirteen, Leila preferred to spend that time riding down to the nearby town for something to eat. It was a simple task, pedaling down to the town on her quest for food. While the zodiacs were the only group in which she really belonged, the cabin was filled with the same people and the same things. There was something about Leila that longed for something different every once in a while - a new adventure, a new purpose. The artistic bones in her body seemed to crave a new art scene to paint, one in which the town gave her. The faces changed, withered by age and the course life took them. The buildings became worn away by use, every couple of years a new business replacing another. She admired the fluidity of life.
One hand clutching her satchel, another steering the handle of her bike, Leila's gaze swept over the scene before her. The town was an ancient being, some of the buildings still made of brick and a few of the asphalt streets showing off the various cracks formed by rain and age. She had painted this angle countless times, from when she first saw it to a couple of months ago when the town was still raw from a rainstorm that had hit days before. Skidding to a sudden halt, Leila hopped off her bike as she hit the first street of the town. There were a couple of people around, but not many for the sunny day. Strange. Walking her bike along side her, Leila traveled through the streets with admiration, as she did every time she took a trip there. Her blue eyes flickered from person to person before landing on a rather odd man. He seemed out of place from the rest and... familiar, yet she knew that she's never seen his face before. As she approached the man she stared at him with a rather puzzled look on her face. His eyes were blue, yet different than hers. They were filled with many emotions she couldn't completely understand. Both hands still holding her bike, as she neared him she bit her lip indecisively. She typically understood people and their emotions, but this man was a mystery. Oh well, she would probably forget about him tomorrow, but something about her wanted to talk to him, understand who he is. Tugging at one of her french braids, she took in a soft breath before plopping in the seat across from him, smiling as she did so. "Hello, I'm Leila. I haven't been here before. Anything in particular you recommend?"
