Hollyleaf is... alright? I never could really relate to her plight as a morally upright leader of a cat, and found her more annoyingly obsessive. I feel like Lionblaze's character arc could've strayed towards the code-follower after his excursions with Tigerstar and him killing Ashfur would've made a lot more sense. Overall, Hollyleaf was underused and a bit overrated in my opinion. Strong neutral for her.
I actually like Tigerheart, to be completely honest. I like his relationship with Dovewing, I like his dorky personality, and I like that he has a tentative friendship with Ivypool. He's the only Tawnykid I like, actually.
These two go strongly in the 'like' catagory. Not only are they the children of two of my favorite characters, but their relationship is realistic to real siblings, their conflicts are interesting (though the setting and plot was not in Omen of the Stars), and they are very aesthetically pleasing! Love, love, love. I just wish they had been in a better arc :/
Jayfeather
Hollyleaf
Scourge
Silverstream
Jayfeather is a tentative 'like'. He's got an interesting personality at face-value, but it soon becomes grating and ridiculous if you attempt to analyze him. I don't feel his disability supports his reasons for being so bitter, nor do I think that his commentary on other cats is acceptable, particularly with Brightheart, who has come a long way from being Lostface, but it automatically thrown back into that role whenever Jayfeather decides he needs a verbal punching bag. Leafpool does this a bit as well.
Hollyleaf is a neutral.
Scourge is a neutral. An interesting foil, but not very interesting as a character. I also don't really like backstories, and his just seemed so artificial. Cats are naturally aggressive in the wild, so why couldn't we have baby kitten start out as a street-cat? It was a cool premise but I just couldn't get into him like I should've.
Silverstream is a like, and she is MUCH better than Millie, who I will eventually do a whole ramble on.
