I'm just gonna keep on quoting it here as I write.
My intro:
*kicks in the door* According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Nnnnno. This is not an essay about bees, or memes, or beautiful wonderful amazing movies. All those things are a completely different can of bees. But when I post such an entrance to a group chat, people respond with things such as: NO WALKS OFF A CLIFF GO AWAY SHERK I HATE YOU S H E R K And various other messages all along these lines.

AP Lang.
I do have a reason for it being so awful though. It's about how people use alternative punctuation to communicate over text. And it's supposed to be a very personal essay, all about developing your voice and making the writing your own.
My thesis is:
The "improper" punctuation, grammar, and syntax so common online is as close as someone can get to interpersonal communication in a purely text-based medium.

"I stayed solely on that forum for the longest time. Maybe too long. Upon checking, in my five years of having an account, I have been on that forum for 53 days, 23 hours, and 14 minutes all together. I'm gonna go read a book and thim about how I've wasted my life."
Also my teacher is gonna judge me so much after I reveal that I read fanfiction and roleplay online. It'll be great.

my first draft of the essay we "wrote in groups" (aka that I wrote while talking to two of my friends) (to be fair one of them wrote one sentence of it) had things like "Henry: why be a decent person when sinning exists"
not as good as yours but it got a Cackle™ from one of the friends
