That's really good, Arlo ^^. )
Sherlock took Touka in, remembering her from the maze room and instantly returning to his interest. That's right, she had turned away from the blood, and now her defensive nature was suggesting a hard shell, one probably grown from a difficult childhood. One look at her clothes told the older man that she was responsible, but shy, and he guessed from both her defensive sarcasm and attempted confidence that she had a sibling, probably a brother. "Yes, you're very clever." He told her coolly, glancing at Shinichi. "Yes, hello again, met you in the star gazing room if I remember. Heard it blew up." He got up and stooped, scooping up the comic and shoving it nonchalantly into a bookshelf. Then he finished his orange juice in one, enormous gulp, and set down his cup.

®Hawkpath® and <Raintalon>(Awesome picture Arlo! ) (That's a problem, broken...) "Correct," replied Shinichi, coolly. He'd heard this man was a detective and considering his slight interest in Touka, he had already met her. The maze room that Kid had mentioned. What was he thinking now, Shinichi wondered. He was considering a few things about the new man, but they were pressed near the back of his mind, away from interrupting his main thoughts. He set the empty coffee cup down. If Touka wanted it, then she could take it. "I'm Shinichi Kudo."

Hey Arlo and Broken ^^
Not much is going on. Touka, Sherlock, and Shinichi are hanging out in the living room)
Touka lifted the cup and tucked it into her jacket pocket. Maybe Mr. Yoshimura wouldn't notice... She moved to the side to sit on the arm of the couch, dangling her leg off the edge. It felt better to be above the man - Sherlock - like she was in control. She didn't like how he kept eyeing her, like he could pull away her secrets with just a glance. It was unnerving. "So you're a detective too, huh? I guess there's a lot of those here."

(Yep, pretty much what Rain said.)
"I'm starting to wonder about that," said Shinichi. "Anyone else notice that those who come here also have secrets, come from dangerous worlds, and are usually capable of taking care of themselves?" He frowned a little, coming to the same conclusions that Kid had early on. Those who could survive in the Paradox House were attracted to it. I could be because they were just lucky, but often times they were fighters. The world people came from were rarely utopias and often times the people were right in the middle of the mess that was happening. Secrets, both about the world they lived in or the people were also present. Whether they told those secrets were another matter, but even Shinichi had admitted that death followed him wherever he went. "What purpose would the House have by attracting those type of people? Detective often fall in to those categories, so it's no wonder there are several here. Also, robots and warriors are common, I've found. Is it because we make whatever game this is more challenging?"

Touka shrugged. "That's my guess. This whole thing seems like a big experiment, and I guess it'd be pretty boring if the lab rats were dying all the time. They need people who can survive the rooms they get stuck with." It was pretty messed up - but that was the conclusion she'd come to. Whoever was running this probably didn't care about them either way - they must be very bored, and very rich. Then again, maybe it was just about curiosity - collecting data. "Detectives are probably interesting cause they're nosy. No offense." she added, glancing at Shinichi.

(Ok thanks :3)
Matteo blinked back into the living room, sitting on the ground near the couch. In front of him was a puece of paper and he was scribbling something on the paper with a crayon. He almost didn't realize his surroundings until he looked up. "Hey Celica...oh I'm here again," he trailed off softly, noticing the group in front of him, but he only recognized one person. The little boy sat there quietly, just listening.

"Why should I take offense," said Shinichi with a grin. "It's the truth. It probably also adds to the challenge when blinkers try just as heard to find things out about the House as they do each other." He was thinking of Kid and his notebook when he said this. He wished he could get a look at it. When Matteo blinked in he turned and nodded at the boy. "Hello again, Matt. How is everything going?"

Matt just waved from where he sat. "Hola! Everything is fine! I just wasn't really expecting to come here today, but I'm glad I'm here," the boy replied with a shrug. "What about you?" Then he pointed to the other two people beside Shinichi. "And, uh, are they new?" He asked, crawling a little closer.

Shinichi shrugged, then nodded. "Touka is, but Sherlock's been blinking in longer than I have." He indicated the other man." He thought a few seconds before replying to Matt's first question. "I'm doing fine. I just woke up about half an hour ago, so a little tired. But apart from that, I'm just waiting to head to school."

Arlo blinked in, looking at her notebook. This wouldn't have been unusual, except that her notebook was in pieces all over the table. She was holding the cover and carefully putting it back together. Realizing that she was in the House, she looked up and glared at the ceiling. "Now? This really isn't the best time," she mumbled, picking up sections of the book and putting them back as quickly as she could, not bothering to check the dates and make sure she was putting them back in the right order. Right now, she just wanted to get them up before anyone tried to read any of it. ((edit- her notebook isn't ripped or anything, she just took it apart when she was trying to organize it. (it's expandable))

"Hey." said Touka, waving amiably as she was introduced to Matteo. She didn't think she'd seen him before - maybe briefly, but not for long enough for her to remember him. "Who're you?"

"Oh well it's good to meet both of you! I'm Matt!" Matteo exclaimed, waving to them some more. Then he listened silently to Shinichi. "School? That sounds like fun!" He paused for a moment, giggling softly as he went back to drawing on the paper. "Uh, what's school?" He just continued to draw a bunch of random shapes, stopping briefly to look over at Arlo as she blinked in.

Shinichi was distracted as Arlo blinked in and his eyes were drawn at once to the paper all over the table. And of course he tried to read them. He at least tried to pretend he wasn't interested. "Huh..." he said to Matteo. "It's a place where you go to learn things. Like biology and math. Things like that."

Oops, I poofed...and My muse died. Sorry guys. ))
Sherlock, after making a childish scramble across the room and snatching at the pages in Arlo's journal, blinked out. His comic book also vanished, causing no less than three blank books to slide from the bookshelf after it.

(Aw ok Hawk)
"Math? I think I've heard of that before," Matteo muttered, looking away from Arlo and towards Shinichi again. "Is that the stuff like one plus one? Because that's hard..." the boy waved the crayon around a few times with a sigh. "Do you have music? I can play piano!"

"Yeah, math's rough." agreed Touka, leaning back against the couch in an attempt to sit more comfortably. Then, hesitantly, she addressed Matt again. "How come you're not in school?" She didn't want to pry, but as she hadn't been able to attend school herself until she'd have been well into high school, she was curious. Maybe he'd had a similar experience to hers.

"Oh you know, I'm a monster and no one wants to be around monsters," Matteo replied simply, looking away from them and to the ground as he spoke. He had only told a few people what he actually was, which was already a scary experience because he expected them to act differently. "Plus, how old do you have to be to go to school? I'm only six."

Still stuffing papers into her journal, Arlo looked over at the others, her eyes narrowing as her gaze landed on Shinichi. Was he reading her papers..? Before she could be sure, Sherlock ran toward the table, reaching for the last of the papers. Eyes flashing, Arlo jumped to her feet and shoved him back. "You should walk away before-" She stopped without finishing her sentence when he blinked out. Good. "Thanks House," she grumbled. Shooting a glance at the others, she finished refilling her book and tied it shut with a cord before putting it in her jacket. Hopefully she wouldn't forget that the pages were loose in it, it would make a mess if she wasn't careful when she opened it.

Touka nodded, listening carefully to his explaination. So she hadn't been far off the mark after all. "I'm a monster too." she said quietly, deciding to take a chance. She knew from experience - growing up a nonhuman creature made for a lonely, scary childhood. "I didn't go to school until I was fourteen, but I'm almost in college now." She paused, reflecting. "Maybe you'll get to go someday too, if you want to."

Matt blinked his eyes, looking at Touka a little surprised. He was obviously not expecting this. "W-wait, you're also one?" He asked, tilting his head to one side. He was completely oblivious about what she actually meant. "I thought I was the only clone in the House." He smiled a bit, slowly standing up and gathering his things before walking closer to them. "C-college? I don't kno know what that is, but wow...it already sounds hard." The little boy then scrambled over toward Arlo, poking her arm. "Hey, what do you not want us to see?"

Arlo took a step back when Matt poked her arm. He'd been in the maze room too, hadn't he? Matt, right? "Just a notebook... I was trying to organize it but I guess I'll wait until I blink out," she replied, looking around the room. It was impossible to tell how much time- if you could even call it time- had passed since her last blink, but she didn't think she'd missed much.

Touka smiled a little as Matteo ran off to examine Arlo's pictures. He'd said 'clone' - well, that wasn't surprising. She hadn't expected him to be a ghoul. She wondered what his story was...was he hunted, like her, or just ostracized? If he wasn't going to school, he was at least lacking the same rights as the humans in his world. It seemed, sadly, that her own world wasn't the only one split by 'monsters' and humans. It was a grim thought, so she pushed it to the back of her mind. "A notebook? What's in it?" she asked curiously, glancing at Arlo's book for the first time.

"Whatever I feel like writing down I guess," Arlo replied with a shrug, "Mostly about the House and stuff. There's a lot of drawings in it too, I've had it for a long time... Some of it's stuff I'd prefer to keep to myself." Usually she didn't need to worry about what she kept in it, but in the House you never knew when you'd run into someone like Sherlock, who seemed to think it was perfectly fine to steal and read people's diaries without even caring how it made the other person feel.
