I just stop? for no reason?? and don't realise until I'm lightheaded and my lungs are aching and then I'm like 'oh, guess I haven't been breathing for the last two minutes oops. thanks for letting me know before I fainted or smth that would have been embarrassing'
I can't be the only one this happens to, surely.

Try having asthma. It's fun, especially in the winter with a bad cold I do have asthma actually, and I know exactly what you mean. I'm useless in the winter because it gets to like -20 C and I can't even go outside for more than like 5 minutes without needing my inhaler.

There's been times I forget to breath, but never to that extent. Like, I don't know how to explain it, but for a second or two it'll feel like I'm suffocating because I just can't breath. Usually happens when a lot of air from, say, a fan is blowing in my face. Never lasts more than a few seconds though.
