Scorch | Kingdom of Sand With an agitated twitch of her nose, Scorch headed away from the marketplace towards the shack she called a home. Nothing about it stood out from the rest, just a small leaf on the front to advertise the shoddy job of a healer she'd taken on in the Scorpion Den. True be told, the SandWing knew little to nothing about healing and often times had to use her magic in order to gain information. Tossing the satchel she worn to the side, Father dragoness drew her attention to the corner table where a small scroll was unraveling. With a spring in her step, Scorch amber sure to carefully tuck the enchanted object out of sight. With a sigh she sat down on her weathered cot, and just breathed in the sandy air.

Aztec | Scorpion Den Outskirts
The thrill of a new case sent fire coursing through her veins. This was the most interesting case she'd had in a while. Nonchalantly passing back through the market, she scanned the shelves as if she'd forgotten something. Not seeing Scorch in the marketplace, she passed through the streets of shacks, hoping to catch a glimpse of her on the property.

(Ack! Sorry I went shopping.)
Scorch | Kingdom of Sand Scorch passed back and forth in her house, waiting for any sort of distraction to come along. Her day had been unsettlingly quiet, and only a few patients had come. Part of the SandWing was happy, it meant that no one was after her, yet she still longed for the banter of another dragon. Picking up her satchel from where she'd throw it earlier, the young SandWing stepped outside and let the brilliant sun bathe her in its splendor.

Aztec | Sand Kingdom
And there she was. Eleven o'clock, just up the street. Making a mental note of her living space. She'd wait until Scorch went off to a reclusive spot, and then She'd strike. For now, she stuck to wandering the streets, as if looking for something.
All the while she processed what she'd seen so far. The 15th house down, with the rugged leaf on her door, signaling she was a healer. Typical dragon, nothing interesting. She couldn't help but wonder why Heat wanted her dead so quickly. She appeared to be the most boring dragon on her list. She rolled her eyes. This mission just might be petty, an old grudge to solve, by some dragon who was too coward to do anything about it.
She let out a smirk at the thought, rubbing the obsidian and amethyst pendant that hung from her neck. It had been the only thing she'd had of the awful parents who'd left her behind. How could they do that to her? What had she done? She'd been left on the doorstep of a problematic and dysfunctional family, with nothing but a heavy pendant around her neck.
She took a hissing breath through her grinding teeth, partly out of anger, partly out of pain. Examining her talons, finding a shard of glass wedged into her palm. Moving to the side of the road, she tried to pull the glass out, growling with pain.

(Heyo, sorry about my absence! I was at my concert.)
Queen Aurora §|§ Ice Kingdom Aurora landed a little more unsteadily than she would’ve liked, her talons generating a large sound as the searched for a hold on the icy palace floor. Rolling her shoulders, she quickly pretended nothing had happened, eyes searching the room to make sure her stumble was unnoticed. After realizing the area was empty, Aurora let out a sigh of relief. She rushed her way up towards her private chambers, where she could make herself ready for the day ahead- and ran straight into her daughter Shard. “Oh…” Aurora blinked a few times quickly, staring her daughter straight in the eyes. It’d been awhile since they had spoken. “Hello, Shard. I trust you’re doing well?”
Agave §|§ Sand Kingdom Agave poked his snout out from the pile of sand he’d been hiding in. It looked like his immediate pursuers had given up the chase- for a little while, at least. Quickly checking the surrounding area for any other dragons, he stepped out of his hiding place, giving his scales a quick shake to dislodge the particles of dust that had become trapped beneath them. In his talon was the gemstone, its previous luster now hidden under a thin layer of dust. Sighing slightly, Agave tucked the gem into the small bag he wore around his neck. Who would’ve thought such a tiny gem could have caused so much trouble? He began navigating back through the alleys, weaving his way towards the market. Getting this gem off his talons was his biggest priority right now- and replacing it with a hefty sum.
Seahorse §|§ Sea Kingdom Seahorse didn’t feel like doing anything today. The sea currents were warm around her, lulling her into a lethargic state. Her front half hanging off the ledge of her sea cave, the young dragon lazily watched the bustle of marine life as it moved around her. Her scales slowly changed color, mimicking each creature she laid eyes on. It was a sort of game she invented to pass the time- make yourself look like the next type of fish you see. However, looking at all these fish was starting to make her hungry. Sighing to herself, Seahorse pulled herself to her feet. If you want to eat, she told herself, you have to catch it yourself. So the dragon set off with a few powerful strokes of her webbed talons, intent on filling her stomach and returning to sleep some more.

Aztec | Kingdom of Sand
Yanking the shard from her palm, she gritted her teeth. Time to go home, and treat that with something. Turning to go, she went back the way she came. She headed through the market, her palm leaving a trail of blood.
After buying a bandage from the nearest vendor, she wrapped her palm, and tested putting weight on it. Grimacing, she hurried back through the city.
It had barely been a minute of pushing past the crowd before she collided into a dragon, who seemed to be in as much a hurry as her, her large frame knocking both of them to the ground. She had to stop a laugh, as she realized the two dragons she were to kill were right in the Scorpion Den. No traveling into the mountains to kill a SkyWing, or trekking through the rainforest to poison a RainWing. Guess neither of these missions were as hard as she thought.
She laughed in a friendly manner at the dragon, offering a talon to help him up. "Someone set your tail on fire?"

(That's fine guys. I'll probably be off after this as well.)
Agave §|§ Sand Kingdom Agave was startled as a much larger SandWing knocked him off his feet. He landed heavily on the ground, knocking the wind out of his lungs for a second. Subconsciously, he reached his talon to check the small bag around his neck. The gem was still there, its texture still barely discernable through the thick canvas. Rolling his eyes, Agave accepted the outstretched talon of the dragon who had knocked him over. “I could ask you the same thing,” he chuckled. “You're the one who knocked me over in the first place.”

(Well, one last post. A pointless Serenity/Clarity starter.)
Serenity §|§ Night Kingdom Serenity was alone in the cave today. Her brother was off on a brief 'trip'- also known as 'The Queen requires her mind readers for some distant convoluted task she can't be bothered to do herself'. Serenity sighed quietly, resting her head on her talons. The Queen often asked one of the twins to be her reader, even though they weren't part of her staff. Maybe it was just easy to take advantage of the two young dragons without parents. Serenity had promised herself countless times that she would stand up to the Queen, but it never happened. She just couldn't muster enough courage to speak up. It was unusually quiet. Not even the faint buzz of Clarity's thoughts coukd be heard. The silence was starting to get to Serenity. She hated being separated, since they had been together basically their entire life. Shaking her head briskly, the young dragoness got to her feet and began pacing back and forth across the narrow expanse of the cave. She was reluctant to leave in case her brother came back, but just couldn't stay still with this much on her mind.

Aztec | Scorpion Den
Aztec took notice of the brief gesture to check the pouch. She narrowed her eyes, glancing briefly at her own gemstone pendant. Considering the quality of the pendant, it would go for a hefty prize as well.
Hauling the SandWing back to his feet, she grinned innocently at him.
Lifting her palm, she showed him the bloodied bandaged. "Glass." She muttered. "I want to get home to treat it. You were running like you were about to palm something on the black market." She flicked her tongue out like a snake, breathing in his faint scent. She'd remember that.

Hey guys I'm not going to be on much today or for a little while so if you don't want your characters that I'm interacting to be frozen you can make your exit. It's just I've lost my muse, cuz off the screen life is starting to toss me in a blender. I'm good to chat but I don't know how much I'll be RPing. ]

(That's cool. We all need a break sometimes. We'll eagerly await your return. Until then, I may make Agave break away(because that's actually what he would do if someone 'guessed' so close to his real intentions), but I'm honestly fine with waiting too. My work's been piling up, and my creativity is being centered on this instead of the 11 page short story that's due in three days. Hopefully we'll get some new members soon too, so I won't feel bad leaving this on its own for a little while.)

(Naw, that's okay. It's what his character would do.)
Agave §|§ Sand Kingdom Agave’s eyes narrowed, his black tongue flicking a few times. That was a little too close to just be considered a ‘guess’... Was this dragon hunting him too? I must be more popular than I thought. Or… He still could feel the slight weight of the gemstone pressing against his scales. Maybe this is so valuable I suddenly have reason to worry. Agave nonchalantly shrugged, offering up a goofy grin to cover his earlier seriousness. “I really need to get home to my mother,” he said, laughing slightly. “She hates it when I come back late. I have to go out and buy her medicine, see?” He raised his talon towards the bag around his neck. “Well,” he said cheerfully, “I'm glad I got to see you! Maybe we can talk again sometime.” With that the young SandWing was gone, even more intent on selling the crystal as soon as possible.

If this dragon really was heading home, now would be the perfect time to find his housing after tracking him down.
(If Agave leads Aztec to his house: ) Aztec let out a delighted grin. She'd finally found his housing, and she knew exactly where she was. That'd make for an easy target.
( If she lose track of Agave : ) Aztec drew a sharp breath in through her teeth. Ok, this is only a minor setback, aside from the fact that she knew he was on to her.
( After tracking )
Aztec turned to go. Now would be the perfect time to get close to her other target, Scorch. Limping back towards the healing shack, she knocked on the door.
