I might write a fanfic based on this (and by extent, maybe even write my own version of AVoS), but because I'm bored, I was just wondering which version you guys preferred: the canon one or the fake one.
Here's the fake one:
Here's the fake one:
Thanks to my cousin who works at HarperCollins, I know what the next book is going to be about. This is just the basic outline of it.
After Leafpool and Alderpaw go to ShadowClan to help Grassheart, Alderpaw greets Needlepaw and asks about Violetkit, but she only acts hostile towards him. Leafpool sees this and warns Alderpaw about getting too close with a cat from another Clan, but he assures her that nothing bad will happen.
The ShadowClan PoV is revealed to be Needlepaw. Despite being very kind to Violetkit, she constantly gets into trouble with her own Clanmates to the point where some of the cats believe she isn't ready to become a warrior, much to her chagrin. Nontheless, Needlepaw seems to have a good relationship with her parents and the other apprentices, especially Sleekpaw.
Needlepaw is shown to constantly think about Darktail, having doubts that she and the others have seen the last of him. She's also shown to be jealous of Alderpaw due to how he's being treated as opposed to her, explaining her hostility towards him.
Grassheart has her kits a few days later, but Littlecloud unfortunately dies of old age soon afterwards. Taking this as a sign from StarClan, Leafpool decides to stay in ShadowClan until an apprentice is fully trained. Both Bramblestar and Rowanstar are hesitant about this decision at first, but eventually allow Leafpool to stay with ShadowClan. Lionblaze and Jayfeather are shown to be disappointed, but respect Leafpool's decision. Squirrelflight however, having still not fully gotten over Sandstorm's death, protests and tries to convince Leafpool to stay in ThunderClan, but knows deep down this is the right thing to do. Before leaving for ShadowClan, Leafpool assures her sister that she'll be back home soon.
A moon passes and a Gathering is shown. For ThunderClan, it's revealed that Lilyheart's kits have become apprentices. Dovewing got Honeypaw, Mousewhisker got Larkpaw, and Berrynose got Leafpaw. Several warriors have joined the elder's den as well, including Brackenfur, Thornclaw, Brightheart, and Cloudtail.
For RiverClan, it's revealed that Mistystar has died of old age. Reedwhisker, now Reedstar, has named Petalfur his new deputy.
For ShadowClan, it's revealed that Leafpool has already taken an apprentice, Pebblepaw, much to Alderpaw's relief. Pebblepaw is shown to be a rather friendly cat, if not a bit shy.
Back at ShadowClan, Needlepaw is shown to have not gone to the Gathering, having been punished for arguing with Tawnypelt and sneaking out of camp again. Her mother Berryheart tries to comfort her, but Needlepaw tries to brush her off. She goes for a walk after failing to fall asleep until she catches a familiar scent, thinking that it belongs to Darktail and his rogues, though only encountering Rain.
She acts hostile towards him, but he claims to have come in peace and has left Darktail. Not believing him, she accuses him of lying and threatens to tell Rowanstar, but he continues to insist he's telling the truth and says he wants to join the Clans. Needlepaw is still suspicious, but reluctantly takes him to ShadowClan.
The next day in ThunderClan, Alderpaw has a dream from StarClan and is visited by Firestar and Sandstorm, who basically warn him of Darktail and his rogues after he has another vision involving them. After waking up, Alderpaw notices how old and depressed Squirrelflight seems and thinks she'll be joining the elder's den soon. He also notices how close Molewhisker and Sparkpaw have gotten since the journey and thinks they'll become mates after Sparkpaw becomes a warrior. It's also implied that Dovewing and Ivypool are mates with Mousewhisker and Fernsong respectively.
In ShadowClan, a few days have passed since Rain joined ShadowClan, but no one really trusts him and plenty of ShadowClan cats keep an eye on him, especially Needlepaw. However, the more Needlepaw keeps an eye on Rain, the closer they become, especially since she feels he's the only one truly who understands her and even helps her curb her temper. By the time of the next Gathering, it's implied that Needlepaw has developed feelings for Rain after she defends him from Alderpaw, Sparkpaw, Molewhisker, and Cherryfall.
The next day, ShadowClan gathers for Needlepaw's warrior ceremony, but before Rowanstar can make her a warrior, Darktail and his rogues attack them. Needlepaw immidiately realizes Rain had betrayed her and fights against him. Heartbroken, she asks why he had betrayed ShadowClan, to which he replies he's loyal only to Darktail. It's noted that he seems to regret it, though.
Outnumbered, ShadowClan flee to ThunderClan and, though reluctant at first, ask for help. Many ShadowClan cats also blame Needlepaw for what happened and even think she should be banished, but Tawnypelt, Sparrowtail, and Berryheart defend her, saying that though Needlepaw made a mistake, she fought for her Clan when it truly mattered.
It's at this moment that Needlepaw receives her warrior name alongside Sparkpaw, becoming Needleclaw and Sparkstorm respectively.
After this, a ThunderClan patrol reports a group of cats coming their way. They believe it's Darktail and his rogues, but it turns out to be an entirely different group of cats. One of them introduces himself as Hawkwing of SkyClan and they request to see Firestar's kin.
