Jay's thread on where they hailed from got me thinking about different countries and regions, and then that led to different humans styles. By style, I mean skin tone, height, hair color, speech, etc. Isn't it actually pretty cool how we as humans have adapted to live in certain regions of the world so far back that now so many different countries house a specific kind of human natively? Trust me, I'm not trying to be racist or anything in any way. But like, without us moving around to different countries, places like Africa natively have a majority of people with dark toned skin. Or how China has humans with more slanted eyes natively. And Ireland generally has pale people with red hair. Granted, some of these may be stereotypes too, as I'm sure not all redheads came from Ireland and Ireland has many other hair and skin colors. My point is that I find it really cool how so far back we were so divided and spread out that this could happen, that different regions housed different groups of people who somehow adapted to their lands. But now we're so much more connected. With people able to travel from across the world to live in areas they didn't originally come from to mingle with others from even more different lands, will we all one day look and speak relatively the same? I know it would take thousands and thousands of years, but maybe it's possible? Idk, I just think it's pretty interesting to think about because all of us are different and from different places, yet all of us are the exact same species.
I'm probably just really overthinking things here, but oh well. I find this interesting and I felt like sharing it.

I wonder to myself how the languages of the world will change. Will English absorb everything and the world will all speak one language conglomerate? What will we lose with the death of other languages? They're all so unique, it would be sad if they faded away.
Then again this is just me rambling about my slight fascination with languages.
