Or, for me, just OOTS because that's all I know.
Darktail's Cats = The Dark Forest Thus Violetpaw = Ivypool Needletail = Hawkfrost And Darktail = Tigerstar Bramblestar = Firestar(duh) Twigpaw = Dovewing Alderheart = Probably nothing. He's more of a "gateway" character, a character whose only use is to introduce the plot.

If anything, Darktail's cats sorta remind me more of BloodClan

Thunder and Shadow reminded me of both Rising Storm and A Dangerous Path.
1. The ShadowClan sickness mirrors ShadowClan's sickness in Rising Storm. Different sickness, but still.
2. Onestar's paranoia reminds me of Bluestar's. Bluestar was ready to attack WindClan and would have if Fireheart hadn't gone to do what he believed was right. In TAS, Onestar denied ShC a herb it needed to survive just because of something that wasn't there fault to begin with. Like Fireheart before him, Harespring went behind his leader's back to do what he believed was right.

Perhaps they're taking elements of previous arcs that generally received good reception and mixing them into an arc? DOTC started with a quest and so did TNP, either or both of those arcs are well-liked.
Edit: What I mean is that they're doing it on purpose.

Overall, I think that when you have 80 or more books already, there are gonna be some similarities.
