Arianwen let out a grimace, as a shot of pain when through her body. She was glad that her hair was in her face since a small tear slid down her cheek. The young princess, didn't cry very often, and the last time she really cried was when she heard news of her mother situation. The memory of her mother laying in the bed pale and weak, she looked like death herself. Was one of the most horrific sights the young princess has ever seen. Arianwen's mother was her best friend in this world, Arianwen an image of her mother in appearance, not a bit in personality. The idea of loosing her mother was almost impossible to cope with, and to the young princess it was the kind of people, like the woman in front of her, flashing her magical powers, like her kind did when causing a grave sickness to fall over her kingdom, not only causing her family pain and soon to be loss, her towns peoples loosing love ones. 'Will the witches ever be stopped? Will their cruelness and treachery live on forever?' she thought to herself, she peered up at the girl.
All her life she was taught that there are many others out there besides humans, many amazing and wonderful creatures. Herself owning a few, and she has loved and cared for them greatly, and they too seemed to hold that affection. She was told about vicious beings, whom prey on souls of creatures, and more obscure creatures. Arianwen used to lock herself away in the library and read, since she didn't have many other things she could do. One that interested in was witches, a more human like creature. During her younger ages she believed that they might actually have been good. Though her opinions changed when sickness attacked a few years ago. It started out small, they thought it went away, but it was back and stronger than ever. Her father had told her it was witches, that they're angry of the persecution that was placed on them. The young princess agreed what humans did to them years ago. Though striking out in anger against it, fighting fire with fire never helped anything. She tried to talk her father out of the idea of it being them, but her father was usually never wrong. Arianwen tried to be optimistic, but when sickness attacked her mother everything felt lost, and now she is angry, and afraid and as a future queen she couldn't have those as her main emotions. That was no way to rule a kingdom.
Anger surged through Arianwen again, as she was lifted into the bed by magic. She hated the girls mockery of 'humans being cute'. Made her a lot angrier than she wanted to be, thought it as mainly because of the tone of the girls voice. No one has ever talked to her that way without being punished, let alone it being spoken out of the woman's mouth, a witches mouth. She gritted her teeth slightly shifting slightly, not sure of the feeling of the magic that surrounded her, she let out a small shudder. Arianwen bit the inside of her cheek again, she was not going to sit in and join her ridiculous conversation. There was no point of budding in with remarks of anger it would not do much of anything. Though Arianwen quite had the intentions on bringing the guard back, she didn't have to say she was a witch, she could come up with another reason. Maybe the girl won't think them so cute afterwards. When the girl told her to relax, she obviously wasn't going to react.
"You better not use your devil magic on me again witch." She said with a snap sweat forming on her face from the fever, her white hair sticking to her face, she was finding it a lot harder to talk, so she simply glared at the other woman. She wasn't going to trust her to use healing magic on her, it would have been a lie anyhow. The witch would not use her powers to help the girl, only as a weapon in means of hurting her, and anyone around her. That is what happens with you could possess devils magic, another thing her father has always told her. The princess watched the girl as she began mixing herbs and all together making a mixture crushing them together with the pestle in the mortar bowl. From the looks of it she was using all common herbs of healing. The princess had read up about some of them, this girl using different plants that most don't tend to always use, more 'exotic plants', she watched couldn't help being curious. Plus it took her attention away from the pain she was feeling.
She felt herself dozing slightly hearing the pestel hitting the herbs in the bowl. Though after a few moments the girl was beside her again, opening her blue eyes she looked up at the girl. She felt to weak to be angry at the moment, so she did something that would not have been suspected. She flashed the girl a small weak smirk. "Mmm, but something tells me you'd have the upper hand in it, even if I was in fool health." She mumbled softly unsure if everything she said was audible or not. Not really caring either way, being to weak to argue, she opened her mouth for the spoon to be placed in.

The red haired girly simply smiled at the princess words, and actions to the medicine. She saw no point in getting annoyed that this girl hated her, and thought she was nothing more than a beast. It didn't matter if this girl, or anyone else thought she was a monster for Mira knew, she knew, she was something more than a simple vile creature. It was kinda of funny to her the thought of her being evil, the most cruel thing she had ever done was bump into someone on accident. Okay maybe she had done worse she was a human being, or was she? She had no idea if witches were technically humans, they looked the same so she just assumed they were one in the same. Just that witches got cool powers, and well because of that were considered evil.
To be fair it wasn't surprising why humans hated witches, it was because of the UoW, or union of witches if you wanted the full title. It was led by the current leader of witches a dark haired female who had been wishing for a witch ruler in the kingdom for years now. However it had never happened, and the woman's peaceful dreams, started turning violent declaring if they couldn't do it with marriage, the witches would do it by force. That soon started a war a few years ago, until the grand finale where most witches were killed, and well it was basically just witches hiding now. There used to be a village of witches up in the mountains, however that was burned down by the army. However while this was done the UoW was not gone, Mira could feel their presence in the world every day. This was why Mira wanted to be as strong as her grand mother for she knew one day she would have to take down the UoW if she ever wished for humans to like witches.
Her brown eyes went back to the girl having realized she'd zone out for a few moments in her own thoughts. "Well you rest up now, we'll talk when your better." Mira started than moved the table over to the princess with more medicine laying there. "If you feel worse take some more. I'll be back tonight." She mumbled knowing the girl cared less what Mira was up to. After informing the girl however Mira went right to the door opening it. The spell she used only worked on others, she herself was able to open it at any time as if nothing was wrong. A good prison idea really, though for a prison it was quite comfy in nature.
The cabin was small, though it had everything you could want inside. Well unless you were greedy. She didn't have a hot tub, or any of the fancy stuff. However she had a cozy kitchen, comfy sofa, and a bed. The walls were lined with herbs that made it smell quite good inside, and she had candles on four wall mount shelves. A cat was inside laying on the window seal with it's eyes closed. This was clearly not the home of a villain woman, or at least one who tried to show she was evil. There was no black cauldron, no demon skulls, nothing of the kind. Just the kind of room you'd expect from a herbalist girl. With some extra fun bits here, and there like the clock with a cat's face.
-Time Skip to Night- (Unless your not okay with it, than skip this.)
Upon leaving Mira had gone out to get some food for her new guest, she would normally say friend, but that was a far way off if even possible. This girl seemed to be one of those people who held nothing but hatred on Mira's kind. Maybe once she was better Mira would release her, but make her walk back. Then while that happened she'd pack up, and move. It was a shame she loved her small little home, but she couldn't keep this woman locked up forever other wise she would be quite the villain. All Mira wanted was to make her feel good again, and send her on her way. Well trying to befriend her was also a goal, though she doubted it'd be possible.
Anyways as the day went on Mira had traveled to town with a small bag of cash to buy some meat, and vegetables for dinner tonight. She had stuff back home for eating, but right now she had a guest who she wanted to eat right tonight. She had went in and our villages trading, and being friendly to everyone until the sun started to set. Yes she might have been a witch, but to those who didn't see her use magic she was Mira the sweet herbalist who came into town every now, and then. She never used magic here, and was basically just a normal human during her time there.
However she couldn't stay there forever, nay she had someone to take care of so saying a goodbye to her villager friends she escaped back into the forest. She always used a spell to hide her footsteps just in case someone tried to follower her home. If they did they'd get lost for three hours in the forest before finally being sent back to the village. It wasn't nice to the villagers who probably just wanted to keep talking to her, but it was necessary.
The moonlight now shone down on the cabin, and the morning animals were all gone back to their homes. Except Gruff of course who was still sleeping this time by the door of the cabin with a fish he had caught laying next to him half eating. Mira couldn't help, but smile petting his heads for a moment before opening the door carrying the basket of food. "Are you up yet?" She asked walking over to the kitchen to begin cooking.

Arianwen took the mixture of herbs, to weak to do much, to show the displeasure to the taste of the herbs. Arianwen slowly began to doze, she really didn't realize how bad her case was. She listened to the girl, mention the medicine. Though she was sucked into cold deep slumber, maybe to deep that it took forever for a dream to actually play in her mind. A lot has happened these past month, the young princess world has been turned upside down, from becoming engaged, to loosing her mother, now being beaten half to death, and who knows if she'd wake up in the morning. That is what it felt like to her when she was awake, before falling into a hard death like sleep she was certain that the fever may take her life, like it did some knights coming home from war with deep wounds. A sad sight to see, many brave men giving their lives to keep them safe, and the pain that their family must feel to get them back, and turn around and loose them again forever.
A dream began to peek it's way into her mind as she slept. It was a lovely dream.. It played her mother standing, in her tall healthy regal beauty. She didn't look like she'd have as old as she Arianwen. She looked like a large more mature version of Arianwen, everything the young princess hoped to be one day. Tall, regal was Queen Olwen Lace, with long white hair falling to her waist, high cheekbones, fair skin. Though her most prominent feature are her large bright blue eyes framed with a pair of soft curly eyelashes. Queen Olwen, in the dream was wearing a long lavender color dress. The one she wore when Arianwen was only about eight. It was a gorgeous gown, Arianwen's favorite dress that her mother wore. The young princess wore a similar dress in that color. "Mama!" Arianwen said in her dream, rushing over to her mother, as she was moving she realized that she was wearing the same dress as her mother, though pushed the thought away and headed towards her mother. Wrapping herself in her mothers arms, like she did when she was only a babe, afraid of the sound of thunder.
Her mother hugged her back, lovingly, Arianwen sobbed into her dress as she clung to her mother as if she was a small child afraid. She was not small now, standing about the same height as her mother. Though she was afraid, afraid to wake up, and ruin the vision. She wore exactly the same clothes that she wore on her eight birthday, the two wore lavender since it was Arianwen's favorite color. The eight year old girl was overly excited of matching her mother. It was the favorite dress that her mother has ever worn, and at the age of eight, and ever since then has always hoped to be such a regal beautiful queen like her mother, that she may lighten up the mood, and make everyone day.
"Oh mama, you're alive." She mumbled against her mother who just smiled softly against her daughters embrace, not saying anything. Though the soft warm thought of her mother vanished as she opened her eyes to see the figure of her mother turn to sand and fall to the floor. In her dream Arianwen let out a scream, if it was also audible to the real world she did not know. The pile of sand by her feet, once where her mother stood. Was taken away by a gush of wind. A flash of light struck her eye and she looked up to see. A dark figure, a very dark figure. It took quite a few moments to realize who the figure was. Though it didn't take long for her to realize. It was one of the dark witches from years ago, way before she was born.
The dark haired witch grinned evilly, and sent out a blaring red ball of fire onto the village. It landed to the ground and a dragon appeared out of the red ball, and let out a horrid sound. The large red beast took up to the sky. Arianwen turned her face towards the witch who laughed and disappeared out of thin air. The princess turned her face back to the beast, who was getting to work on destroying the village, and the forest around it. In her dream Arianwen attention was caught on a small cabin in the woods, that stood ablaze, a figure was inside not being able to get out. Arianwen, knew who it was, and was confused the red head was a witch as well. Why would the witch allow the dragon to kill the other witch. Turning her head to the horrid red beast, who flew through the air at terrifying speed, it lit a fireball in it's throat. Arianwen knew where it was headed, but didn't know how to react. The fierce beast let out another haunting cry, and shot the fire ball and it was heading straight towards her home. Arianwen let out a large cry that seemed to echo, then......
She woke up.
Sitting upward in her bed, blue eyes as wide as possible, she was breathing heavily. A few small tears fell down her cheeks though she pushed them away. Her blanket fell off of her, and revealed her sweating figure. The fever had been broken, and she was left filling sick from the horrid dream she had just been through. It felt so life like, and she couldn't move. It was like she was frozen. Closing her blue eyes shut tightly she worked on regaining her breath, and allowing her heart rate to go back to normal.
Once it found a more, normal rate, she opened her eyes. Blinking them softly getting her vision back. She looked towards the window. Which it was getting quite dark, she had to have been asleep for quite a few hours. She licked her lips softly mouth dry, from the fever. She stood up feeling woozy, but made herself walked. She found a basin of water, next to the wash mirror. Looking into the mirror she saw how scary she was. Super pale, with a sickly pink color, tired yet wild eyes. Plus her ripped clothing and crazy hair didn't help. She used some of the water from the basin and splashed a little bit on her face rinsing off the rest of her horrid dream. The water was nice an cool on her warm skin. Blinking at her reflection again, she turned back towards the bed.
She made her way, wobbly back to the bed. Sitting down and closing her eyes, so the world would seem to stop moving. She wasn't going to try and run, she figured the witch would have done some kind of curse to keep her in, but she knew she couldn't leave if she wasn't cursed inside. She was far to weak, the fever was broken yes. Though there was still a quite more damage to be healed. Arianwen listened to the noises, she heard something big outside moving around, but didn't jump up in fear or made much movement, what could she do about it. Whatever was going to happen to her will happen, there's not much she can do about it now.
Laying back down on the bed, though leaving the covers off, she began to occupy her mind with thoughts, she thought about home, about mother, and about father. She played their appearance in her mind, it felt like forever since she had seen them. Was they worried? Did they know she was gone? Did they think she ran once hearing about the engagement? Those were a few questions that filled her mind, she know the 'they' was really father, since mother was to weak to think really. Maybe father was to busy worried about mother that he didn't realize she was gone, and could slip back home without her noticing. The thought of the engagement played in her mind. She remember her father meeting her the last time she was at the castle, who knows how long that has been. Since she wasn't entirely sure how long was she here for. He told her about the engagement to a prince, a second born son of a very wealthy kingdom. His eldest brother has the throne, and was married, leaving Arianwen to marry the second eldest.
Arianwen was furious when she heard the news. She was not ready to get married, let alone to some man she has never met before in her entire life. Not to mention that Arianwen never felt much of attraction to guys, which she blamed it on the fact that she grew up with a lot of them, and being expected to be a guy for the most part, until her mother changed that. Arianwen wasn't sure what to do, she knew she had to marry him, but she was sure she wasn't going to like him, especially from the stories she was told about him, which is really bad, since that is supposed to help her in liking him, not dislike him even more. Thought's of possible appearances, and personality trait that the mystery prince may have.
Though she snapped out of her thoughts, when she hood footprints again, these ones were lighter than the other ones. She figured it was the witch coming back. She opened her eyes and watched the door, only after a few moments she saw some red hair bouncing around, proving that she was right. She blinked softly, sitting up, gritting her teeth while she did so. "Aye, I am." She mumbled hoarsely, as she licked her lips again looking over towards the red head. Sweat clinging causing her clothes to stick tightly to her, as well as her hair.
[Ah you are fine! It makes it a lot nicer that you skipped. I hope the whole dream with the mother doesn't sound real creepy and sends a wrong message, and that I worded it good enough that it just seems as a daughter, caring a lot for her mother and loves her in a mother and daughter fashion, and that she aspires to be like her mother, rather than something else.]

(Ah I'm glad that you do, it will add some interesting tension in the plot later on. Oooh that would be really cool! Oh okay, reply whenever you feel up to it. I'm glad that it didn't come off creepy, since I wasn't sure if I was going into much detail where it would have ended up kinda creepy. ;w; Though I'm glad you enjoyed it!]

(Please forgive me if this is horrible- (ノ′Дヾ) )
Mira had stopped walking for a moment hearing the girl's voice brought a smile to hers. She was glad she was awake to be honest, since it was so different from her normal life. She was used to the silence of being alone, well alone as in no other humans, or witches around. She had Gruff, but the bear wasn't much for company when it came to talking he was more a scare off attackers, and someone to pet. She also rode the bear sometimes quite the sight if anybody ever caught her. A small dark red head lady riding atop of bear would cause almost anyone to laugh at the sight, well if they weren't busy screaming in fear from the giant brown grizzly bear charging. Alas no one had gotten to see the sight since when she did ride Gruff it was by herself as most would people would say only a witch could ride a bear as if it was a horse, or unicorn. Even though witches were more known for dragon pets rather than bears.
The thought of a dragon mount bothered Mira in all honesty, as she was scared of heights so having a mount that would bring her up into the sky wasn't something she was wanted in all honesty. Another thing about dragons was the fact she never even saw one, she knew leader of the UoW had a dragon, and a few of her trusted members also rode dragons, or at least had one as a pet. However Mira had no intentions on ever having a dragon, Gruff was better anyways cause he was furry, and cuddly! Speaking of Gruff she felt kinda of bad tonight since she normally let the bear inside, but she felt that would scare her new quest.
"I hope you feel better." Mira commented with a sincere tone though she didn't look at the girl for she was too busy laying out the steaks she had bought for tonight. She sat them on a tray, and started grabbing a bunch of things from a knife, to herbs, and some other stuff. Then without further ado she begun the process of cooking. Dicing the meat into tiny pieces, and the vegetables as well. Since her guest was sick, she had decided the best option for tonight's dinner was her one and only steak stew! A meal she made quite often for the elder villagers when she went and visit them.
She started quickly working using no magic, though normally she would. She feared her guest wouldn't eat if she used magic so Mira went out of her way to show the girl she was using human means to make the meal. She then moved to the stove once everything was cooked and turned to her guest. "Um, don't look..." She mumbled for a moment before snapping and causing a small fire to set the stove ablaze so it was ready for cooking. The fire was quite weak nothing that would come off as a fireball. It was like a speck in the wind, and it wasn't until it caught the stove that it turned into a blaze ready to cook. She than tossed the pan on, and started mixing everything together.
Her movements were quick like that of a faster chef, and thankfully her skill was like a master chef as well so it wasn't like the meal would be gross. In fact most people that had tasted her cooking had only said good things. Once it was ablaze Mira took a piece of meat she didn't cut, and opened the door tossing it out to Gruff. "I know you had a fish, but eat up Gruff!" She yelled smiling as she saw the bear get up to retrieve his meal. Closing the door Mira went back to the pot watching it with a bored stare, this was much easier with magic.
It took about an hour of her just staring at the pot before it was finished. She hadn't said anything since she didn't think the woman would respond, and if she did it would be a insult most likely. It wasn't until she poured the stew in a bowl, and placed it on a table did Mira open her mouth to speak to her guest. "Wanna sit at the table with me, or lay in bed?" Mira inquired looking at her, and then put on a playful smirk. "Or would you like me to feed you?~" She teased playfully to the girl.
This was how Mira always acted friendly, and playful even to people who clearly showed hatred to her. It reminded her of when she used to like a village boy, the only boy she ever really liked. He had stated many times how ugly he found Mira to be, and yet she continued working on trying to win him over. It wasn't until she grew up did she stop, not because he didn't stop calling her ugly. In fact he start flirting back at some point, it was the fact she stopped liking him that caused her to stop, and never date him. She didn't really know why she stopped romance, just wasn't in her mind anymore. She was a friendship only kinda of person to this day.
It was probably due to the fact that her father was never around, he had left her mother once he found out she had been a witch. Her mother had given up on being a witch and found love, but one day Mira had gotten hurt badly. So her mother had to resort to magic to keep her dear daughter alive, and well her father didn't like that. He didn't turn her in for he knew if his wife was a witch his daughter was aswell, but he didn't stay either. He vanished leaving them alone, and well ever since then Mira had only her mother. Well until the witch hunters found her mother, and well now she only had Gruff.
As she awaited the girl's decision on joining at the table, laying in bed, or being fed Mira thought of another important question. She had no idea who this girl was, well she had some ideas. She kinda of looked like the princess, but you know why would the princess have been beaten by bandits so badly. "So what's your name?" She asked adding onto the her previous questions.
(Omg I hope this isn't horrible! (ノдヽ) I bet it is- (〃-ー-)ノ Sorry I tried-)
