Doesn't it just follow the exact same plot as the animated version? What was the appeal?

OOC It adds more stuff in, the casting was great, the songs were great, and it was really cool to go see??? What's not the appeal?

I don't know. Like Jungle book was okay because it change the plot and all, but even that felt tacky to me. I guess it could be fun to see the new cast and all.

OOC Honestly I kinda think people new to stop being so picky and uptight about their movies. Disney does good stuff and I like the remakes.

I totally love Disney too. I might just the picky because I love the originals with the animation and everything and the whole Live Action takes away from the 'magic' that the originals have. I also could just be really picky about movies.

It's mostly just personal taste
I don't care for live-action, so I'm not going to see it. Besides, it seems a little less... Disney-ish then the original. I like the feeling that Disney animated movies give me, the live action ones don't have the same appeal.

OOC I get that everyone has their preferences, but I think people should still give them a chance. It was amazing, I personally liked it better than the original. Idk I just think that people are pretty picky now. It takes a lot of hard work to make a movie, and I appreciate the hard work that goes into them. Animated or not.

Oh yeah, I totally plan on going to see it just so I can form a fair opinion on it. I totally understand the work that is put into it, and I agree it's really impressive, especially the CGI. I probably would have been more attracted to it if it was an original concept.

I just got home from seeing it. It was amazing. They added more background for the characters, so the enchantress wasn't just cursing a 10 year old, and the casting for Gaston was perfect

i saw it too! Really good. Also, I like that they made Lepollo more⦠his own character (plus he's played by the guy that voiced Olaf) Like in the originals he's more⦠basic grunt #1 but in the remake he had a lot of good lines. Plus they added more humor. Like it wasn't just a kids show.

I haven't seen it- and so far the live-actions have been hit and miss for me. I absolutely adored the Cinderella remake, while I was kind of iffy on Jungle Book. I can't say why though, really :/. I wish it had to do with how I enjoyed the originals- but I equally enjoyed the Cinderella and Jungle Book originals yet had different reviews on the remakes.
I'm really interested in Beauty and the Beast tho- my mom and sister just watched it and said it's really good. I'm a little apprehensive because I wasn't really into the original, but who knows, maybe I'll just have to go in and try not to compare too much ^^'
