OOC CHATTER {{ - Just a quick piece of knowlegde for you so you know how to respond, your character was knocked out and taken back to 'base' they're currently in a room tied up in a chair. Probably in pain. - }}
ROLEPLAY- Riley hadn't ordered the attack - he hadn't even known about it until his men had come back with a police officer, unconscious. The chief (that he paid off often to keep the cops off his back) was going to have his head if they were too badly hurt. He stepped into the room. It was dark in here, but he could see fine - he knew that turning the light on was a sure fire way to wake someone up when they were unconscious or sleeping.
He removed their weapons and checked them over quickly to make sure that they were still breathing and they weren't going to die on him before he pulled out his switchblade and cut the ropes binding their hands. He then tilted their face up very gently and checked them to see if they were hurt. He made a face and moved to pick up the rubbing alcohol that he had bought in with them. Half leaning against the table behind him, he dabbed their cuts. When he was finished, he placed the alcohol down next to the water and the headache pills he had brought in with him.
Satisfied that they weren't injured anymore that he could see, Riley tilted his head as he examined them before stepping back and waiting until they woke up. -

perfect )
Arabella, Aria for short, was passed out cold, and had been for a while. Her shoulders were slumped up against the back of the chair and her head hanging down, chin pressed against her petite chest. Loose curls framed her cut up face, dangling limply and tickling her cheeks. She scrunched her nose when the rubbing alcohol hit her cuts, but other than that she looked oddly peaceful.
It took her a bit longer before she finally woke up, coming to with a harsh blinking. All Aria could think about was how badly her head was throbbing and how much she wanted it to stop. She let out a soft groan, shifting in her seat, conscious for the most part. But, she was still very obviously disoriented.
"What the-" Aria mumbled, squinting her eyes hard in the darkness, waiting for them to adjust. She'd never been in this place before; wherever it was. Where was she? Aria wasn't freaking out quite yet, after all, she was trained for these kinds of situations.

ROLEPLAY- Riley tilted his head as Aria started to wake up and he stood up and brushed the metaphorical dust off his suit. "How are you feeling?" His voice was smooth and his accent was strong, but there was still concern in his voice. He picked up the water and the pills and stepped over to her. "Here," He offered it to her. -

Aria's eyes had finally adjusted, narrowing them at Riley. She blinked at the glass of water and pills blankly before bringing her hands up near face, rubbing the mild rope burn around her wrists. She was trying to be as casual as possible, even though it was definitely intimidating being in a place god knows where. Her head was still pounding and she desperately wanted to take the pills, hoping they were for a headache, but at the same time they were pills from a stranger. So, no thanks. "What is this?" Aria looked up at Riley.

ROLEPLAY- Riley sighed, "The raid. My men took you in thinking that I would be pleased about it. I'm not, clearly." He offered her the water again. "I'm not going to hurt you, okay? I just want to get you fixed up and out of here before your boss throws a fit and has my head." He mumbled mostly to himself. "I haven't done anything to these. I can take them if you want me to prove it to you." -

Just like that, it all connected. It was obvious by Aria's face that she had realized that this was Riley - the city's infamous crime boss. She ignored the glass of water and pushed herself up to where she was standing and eye level with him, despite the fact that he had some inches on her. She ignored the woozy feeling she still had, trying to make her expression hard. "Go for it." Aria said dismissively, feeling around her holster and furrowing her eyebrows. Well, of course she didn't have any of her weapons - common sense for anybody. She couldn't believe that this was the Riley. Aria had heard plenty of things about him. "Plus, I'm perfectly fine. I don't need you to take care of me." Aria said, her mind lingering on what Riley had said about her boss.

ROLEPLAY- RIley's eyebrows shot up, but he had still been expecting it. Without hesitation, he downed both the pills and all the water. He shrugged a bit and placed the cup down on the table behind him. "In my experience," He said coolly, playing with his gloves. "Being whacked in the back of the head and then being tied up does my head in." He eyed her carefully, pretending not to notice how she had reached for her holster. He tilted his head, "You don't need to be afraid of me. I don't hurt innocent people, especially if those people are cops, I'm not stupid." He sent her a cheeky grin, "You're not my concern, honestly. I'm not going to hurt you. It wasn't my order that got you brought in, and I will be fixing that up. I'm sorry that you got hurt, it wasn't my intention. Honestly." -

Aria watched him carefully, seeming to be calculating his every move. She let out a little snort, staring up at him, "Well, aren't you an angel." She said sarcastically, it being obvious that she still didn't trust, or believe him, for that matter. In her eyes and in the moment, Riley just seemed like a snake. But, she was wishing she had taken that pill, definitely regretting it by now. Being smacked in the head wasn't the best feeling; she wouldn't be surprised if she had a concussion.

ROLEPLAY- Riley blinked at her, before grinning. "You have no idea." He responded. "Now, would you like to be escorted to the hospital so they can have a look at that bump you've got? I would hate for you to have a concussion. "Because I'll happily take you, assuming that you won't go behind my back and shoot me." He picked up her gun and showed it to her, it was unloaded - he was holding the magazine in his other hand. "And I'll make sure that you aren't touched again by me or any of my other men. You might just get a pay rise at the station." He sent her a grin and his eyes glinted. "Of course, if you refuse you'll only end up there anyway. I don't kill cops. I try to avoid them as much as possible, but things happen." -

Aria rolled her eyes, glancing down at his grin - and she didn't want to admit it, but he was oddly charming. "I can take care of myself." She said sharply, looking back up to his eyes, "Now, if I could have my gun back." She said, moving to grab it from his hand, keeping eye contact with him. She didn't like this whole not having control thing. Aria was one of those people that always liked to have control of their lives - a control freak, one would call it. To add onto it, this whole situation was unsettling to her, especially knowing that Riley could've easily hurt her more, but didn't. It didn't make sense to her. Riley just seemed so cool and collected and easygoing, and it irked Aria.

OOC CHATTER {{ - sorry for poof, applying for jobs - }}
ROLEPLAY- "Ah - ah..." Riley tutted, moving it just out of her grip. "I need to know that you're not going to shoot me the moment I give it to you. I'm the only one keeping the meatheads from ripping you and the rest of the city a new one." He grimaced a little, eyes flicking away as he thought of what his father was ordering in his final days. "I'll give it back to you, and you won't shoot me, right?" His voice had gone a little higher, as if he was talking with a child. -

no prob!!)
Aria clenched her jaw, her eyebrows furrowing, "Thanks, Prince Charming, but give me back the gun, I don't have time for these games." She said, sounding annoyed. She took one step forward, towards him and the gun, her dark eyes glinting, "I guess you're just gonna have to trust me, huh?" Aria said, now using a sweet tone and batting her eyelashes. A smirk played on her lips as she stared up at him, having to crane her neck to an extent. She wasn't that short, but she was definitely on the shorter side.

ROLEPLAY- He gave a soft chuckle, sounding genuinely amused. He kept his eyes on her as he reloaded the gun and handed it to her hilt end first. "I trust you about as far as I could throw you." He said plainly. He bent down a little. "Note that I'm not giving this back to you because you batted your eyelashes at me." He tilted his head, pulling himself to stand up straight. "Now," He tilted his head. "How's your head?" He asked, sounded concerned again. "Do you want to go to the hospital?" -

Aria cleared her throat as she took the gun from him and shoved it back in her holster, her hands lingering on the cool metal of the pistol. She took a step beck, relaxing her shoulders, "I'd like to leave." She answered blankly, resisting the urge to rub the back of her head and check the physical damage. Aria could feel her face getting pale and warm as she fought back the waves of nausea. She clearly wasn't a threat at the moment, except for the fact that she had a loaded gun, but that didn't make that much of a difference.

ROLEPLAY- Riley eyed Aria carefully. "Of course. But not on you own," He flashed her a quick smile, but it was more of a grimace this time. He pulled out a small red scarf from his inner pocket and showed it to her. "It's for my security. I hope you understand." He didn't wait for her to reply as he stepped around her and tied the cloth around her eyes, taking care to avoid the bump on her head. He placed a hand on her shoulder. "I won't let anything happen to you." He said from behind her and quickly squeezed her shoulder. "Come on." There was the sound of cloth moving as Riley moved his arm. The door opened and he led her out. -

Aria's shoulders tensed up as the blindfold was put on her, "Oh, how reassuring." She mumbled sarcastically, flinching when Riley touched her shoulder. Nonetheless Aria followed him out, her hands forming small fists. She went with him carefully, making sure to stay alert of her surroundings, especially with the red cloth that was obstructing her view. As she was led out Aria's mind was moving miles per minute, calculating what she should do and if she should just let herself be blindly led out or not.

ROLEPLAY- He could feel how tense she was. He sighed as they left the room and he mumbled to someone something in Italian. The other person didn't respond as Riley started walking her. He provided meaningless commentary as they passed. "That's the watercooler you're passing now, did you want a drink?" - He got her a cup anyway and put it into her hand - "That's the printing room." And "That's the breakroom ..." He slowed down a little as they reached the elevator and he stepped inside once it came up.
"I know that you've probably heard a lot of things about me." He said softly. "But I don't like hurting people. I avoid it as much as I can. It's not me that ordered all those killings." He sighed, "I tried to prevent it, I really did. The reason that the gang has been so quiet recently is because I've taken it over from my father." The elevator stopped and Riley started to lead Aria over to his car, opening it for her and guiding her in so she wouldn't hit her head.
"I'm not going to stop what I do, just because of what's happened in my gang. There's people out there a lot worse than me, and you haven't seen me on one of my bad days." -

Aria stayed silent for the first half of the tour, her holster clicking quietly against her thigh as they moved. She took the cup but just held it in her hand, relishing in the coolness of it, feeling like she was burning up. She reluctantly got into the car and set the water cup between her thighs, shifting uncomfortably, "Why are you telling me all these things?" She said, sounding genuinely curious, "It's not like it's going to make me trust you." Aria murmured, although she did feel calmer than earlier, Riley's voice oddly soothing. She reached up to fiddle impatiently with her blindfold, gripping at the cloth.

ROLEPLAY- Riley shrugged as the car hummed to life before voicing his answer. "I know that it may not make me trust you, but I feel like you should know that it was not my intention for you to be kidnapped, nor was it my intention to have you get hurt. Only more work for me." As he was driving it became apparent that he was intentionally going around in circles to throw off her sense of direction should she want to backtrack. After a few minutes, he glanced over at her. "You can take that off now, if you like." He was quiet for a moment. "Do you want to go to the hospital and get your head checked out?" -

Aria took it off immediately, letting out a small huff. She tossed in the back, blinking her eyes a few times to re-orient herself. After that, Aria didn't respond to his first few sentences, just mulling them over in her head instead. "Wouldn't hurt, I guess." She mumbled in reply to his question, delicately setting her head back on the headrest, being careful to avoid the injury. "What exactly are you doing, then?" Aria finally said after a few minutes, "Why do you decide to remain in this position of power? Your people are still hurting innocent civilians, whether you like it or not."

ROLEPLAY- Riley sighed, his hands slipping on the wheel a little, his focus disappearing. He sighed once more. "You don't understand ..." He muttered, sitting back in his seat as he continued on. "People don't just stop being criminals. I'm trying to make a reform, but ... It's hard. People get angry when you tell them to stop. If I stopped the activity cold turkey I would likely get shot in the head." He turned his eyes back to the road. "I want it to stop ..." He shook his head as he pulled up to the hospital. "You don't need help inside, do you?" -

Aria watched him as he spoke - not in the creepy way, but just out of pure, unadulterated curiosity. She pursed her lips, looking like she was about to say something, but stopping herself. Aria set her hand on the door handle, popping it open, "I think I can manage myself from here." She answered, giving him one last long glance before carefully stepping out of the car, wincing. A thank you hung on her lips once she was out, but instead of actually saying that she moved to shut the door, "Good luck to you."

Aria just gave him a sharp nod and a "Adios." before she shut the door, thinking why the Wolf? She headed into the hospital, giving Riley one last over the shoulder glance before closing the glass doors and heading to the front desk to get checked in.
