Bree barely blinked when a guard ran in, but the twins came running back to her, unsure of what to do with the chaos that unfolded outside. From the expression on Rens face, this wasn't a surprise, almost as if he'd been expecting something like this to happen. The twins peered at the dead guard curiously, but without much fear, the only reason why they ran back was because of the ruins of the village outside. Bree nodded at the order to protect the villagers, glancing at Cadem, knowing where she could take them, but not wanting to look like she was running. She let out a low whistle, to which Leo appeared at the doorstep and came in, pressing his cold nose against her hand. "Theres some shallow caves near the river- its where we live. We could probably fit the villagers there." She said in a quiet voice.

Cadem was struck by the sudden change in mood, but he got himself into gear quickly. "Bree, you should take your dog and lead the villagers away. I'll stay here with the prince and we'll cover you." He looked to the prince solemnly, then ran out of the room to retrieve his gear. He returned in full-on soldier mode, spear and shield in hand.
Jahirem winced when she heard the explosion, and removed her staff from under her outer robes. "I've always got it." She hadn't dealt with violence much before, only when beggars in the capital city got out of hand. "What's happening?" She asked upon realizing that this was a planned attack, having seen several wyverns in the sky. "Is this.. Are we being attacked?"

Bree's face twisted worriedly- no doubt many of the village wouldn't listen to the homeless teen who has stolen from most of them, but she would still try. She glanced around, feeling overwhelmed by all the worried faces, knowing she couldn't lead them exactly to where she and the other kids lived- but she could lead them nearby. "If anyone wants to be safe, follow me!" She called out, trying to make herself look bigger. The innkeeper stared at her, clearly wondering how the small managed to sneak herself into his place of business- he was always careful with her. Bree stared at the innkeeper for a moment, before walking off, most of the villagers following her and Leo.

imgur.com/a/Im6Or(Here's the Garuda Capital City (which I'm proud of!) and a small forested area. I'm working on the actual Garuda forest now, I think it's gonna be a path through a bunch of trees, which mountains on either side. E: I just added Garuda Forest Once Cadem saw Bree get to work on evacuation, he headed out to find the town's miniscule militia taking heavy casualties from the invaders. He got to work fighting immediately, but was surprised to find that the invaders were well-trained. That doesn't matter, he thought to himself, because I'm better trained!

By some miracle the girl managed to round up most of the villagers and took them towards some of the caves she and her family discovered, making sure that she was far away from their current hide out, to keep her family as safe as possible. Unfortunately, a bunch of scared villagers stuck in one, tight space made for unhappy people, and when people got angry they tended to turn on people like her. She could hear the angry mutters of the villagers, and the innkeeper was starting to get rowdy, challenging every word she said, trying to turn the others against her, saying that somehow she was a part of the village burning down. Of course it didn't help that she has said things along the lines of "If i had the chance id burn this place to the ground", but she only said that out of anger and frustration, not having any literal plans to burn the place to the ground. Unfortunately, the villagers started to mutter, and she felt herself be pushed to the ground by someone, and she felt a spike of fear shoot through her, but she just glared up at them. "Im just trying to help!" She snapped, seeming to bristle

(Not right away, I just made the character for the future~ I kinda hoping we get a few more members before we get to the capital city part.)
Almric instantly was in war upon leaving the inn his blade had been at the ready, and at this currently point in time he was already fighting a soldier. His blade met the man with a fierce strike that had enough power to kill him, so it wasn't hard for Almeric to block the incoming attack of another soldier. Countering it his katana's sharp edge twirled around to the man's neck killing him like the other. It was clear Almeric true calling was on the battlefield. He continued fighting looking for the commander when someone was sneaking up on him from behind, however Eliza had let an arrow loose, and had taken care of it. "Thanks sis." He called out before charging down a path that led to what he wanted. The Wyvern General herself, Mira.
----------------------------------------------
"Garuda troops." Eliza answered her cleric's question as she watched the village with a sharp eye her bow ready for action already. "I didn't think we'd be at war for awhile, but I guess if anyone was going to start one the cult like kingdom of Garuda was a prime suspect." She sighed mad at herself for not seeing it coming, however what she did see coming was a bandit charging her bother. So in a quick motion she raised her bow, and release the arrow that swiftly killed the man. Turning to Jahirem she thought for a moment. "Find anyone who needs healing." She commanded she'd be able to watch the girl from a distance if any attacker targeted her.

Bree gritted her teeth, still on the ground with the townspeople surrounding her, all leering down at her, as if they believed she was able to bring this much destruction to the village on her own. But thats fine. I'll be out of here soon. They just need to stay quiet... She thought as she scrambled to her feet, trying to dodge a kick that was aimed her way but failing, the foot connecting to her stomach.Others took advantage of her going down, aiming their own kicks and spits her way, but they quickly stopped when they felt the shaking of footsteps above them, the people going silent in fear, the innkeeper grabbing Bree, putting her in a chokehold, saying she'd better call them off. "Im not withs them." She muttered, trying to breath. The man faltered, and she squirmed out of the mans grasp, darting in between some folks to get away, most of them not caring about her any more, to entranced by the footsteps. Bree neared the entrance of the cave, waiting and listening, rubbing her throat slightly, feeling her body protest in pain from being kicked so hard, but forced herself to stay upright. She slipped out her dagger, trying to concentrate on her surroundings, stiffening when footsteps went down towards the cave, seeing some strange shadow. She darted forward, seeing a strange figure, completely cloaked, and tried to stab him with a dagger, but the male parried with an actual sword, the metal piercing her side, but then he quickly retreated when she leapt forward again, this time aiming for his knees, this time able to incapacitate the man as her dagger connected to one knee then the other. She quickly pushed the male into the river before darting back into the cave, shock making her unable to feel her side for now. The villagers stared at her, and she glared at them spitefully, "Ya believe me now?" She muttered, staggering to the wall and leaning on it, feeling weak, although she just thought it was because of her lack of food and being kicked. (Ooh that'll be interesting I think its still open but I'm not in charge so don't take my word for it!)

"Prince Almeric, you shall fall here! Under the spear of Mira~" Mira called once the prince was in her sight. She wasted no time in commanding her wyvern down so she could bring her axe down on the pretty prince's face.
"How could you.... All these people, we had a treaty!" Almeric growled watching Mira, and right as her axe was being brought down he did a quick dash backwards, and then he adjusted his grip on his katana, and charged the wyvern rider. He felt his blade connect with the scales of the beast, and with that he released his grip quickly using a different grip so he could get his katana back, while also using this as a way to jump up to Mira. However as he did he was barely able to stop a mortal blow as Mira hit his blade into his stomach sending him flying into a near by house.
"Garuda show flourish little prince, and Elsmi shall fall!" Mira chuckled her wyvern flying into the air to get in a final blow on the prince. However she felt a arrow hit her stomach, and her gaze went to the princess. "You blasted pest!" She hissed ripping the arrow out. "I'll kill you.... Later! Wyvern riders retreat, soldiers stay and burn this little village!" She commanded before flying off just managing to dodge another arrow.
Almeric watched by the side of the building grimacing in pain, he had to have at least broken a rib in that fight. Eliza ran to his side, but Almeric called her off so she could help defend the villagers.

"Burn the village!" She could hear some woman screech and she felt her blood run cold as she fought off another soldier, this time a little weaker, a little slower, the soldier managing to get two blows in, the blade slicing her skin badly, before she could disable them, pushing them into the river to meet the same fate as their companion who had tried to hurt the huddling villagers before hand. Her back stung something awful, but she tried to ignore it, looking back at the villagers worriedly for a moment, knowing they all heard it to. For a brief second she felt a twinge of satisfaction- knowing these people would have to go through what she and the other urchins had to deal with every day of their lives- but then pushed that down, telling herself that wasn't a good thought. "My baby! Where's my baby?" A panicked mother suddenly screeched as she stared at a man- someone Bree presumed to be her husband- who looked just as scared as she was. "Where did you see your baby last?" Bree asked from her leaning spot. The mother said her baby girl was playing out in the front of the blacksmith when the village began to burn. Bree hesitated, knowing she had to go find the kid, but not wanting to leave them unprotected. She glanced at the Innkeeper, telling him that they should be safe here, that if someone came to throw rocks at them- the ones from the river where surprisingly effective for protection, and stoning was always painful, she knew that from personal experience. She then darted out of the cave, adrenaline giving her enough energy to make it to the village, only having to fight a few soldiers, leaving them disabled instead of killed, not having the heart to end someone elses life. She finally made it to the blacksmith area, hearing a small whimpering she walked into the charred remains, finding a three year old. "Hey, I know where your mom is," She murmured quietly, feeling herself sway momentarily before righting herself. The little girl let out a terrified cry and she felt a cool blade on her neck all of a sudden. Bree stiffened, knowing it must be some kind of soldier, debating on whether it would be worth it to whirl around and risk her neck getting sliced. It was. Sort of. She jabbed the soldier in the side, giving it a hard enough blow to make the man stagger and she grabbed her own dagger, this time aiming for the mans hip, trying not to cry out when the sword nicked her unprotected arm. The soldier faltered for a moment and Bree grabbed the three year old and staggered out, trying to get back to the hiding place, not realizing she was in bad shape. Another soldier came charging at her and the kid, and this time Bree couldn't do much but cover the child as the soldier pushed her down, a torch in his hand.

(Under the spoiler for unobtrusiveness. c: I hope these are descriptive enough, I noticed we're kind of going for brevity on the front page so if you'd rather I get into their personality more just say so. I didn't include looks besides height because I have pictures. :p)Rosalie Dawnfire
Paladin- 21 A wandering knight without a lord to serve, Rosalie dedicates herself to upholding her code of honor and helping everyone she can, especially the poor folk who can't defend themselves. She admires Princess Elizabeth, who she considers 'the people's princess'. She is fairly tall at 5'10, a master of the longsword and a deft hand with a lance, and despises evil in all forms.
Riley Bennett
Engineer/Marksman - 22 Riley is a blacksmith from a small town on the edge of Garuda. He is short at 5'2 and relies more on his critical eye, accuracy, and his cunning than any physical attributes when in battle. His unique way of thinking and skill with the forging hammer led to the creation of terrible new siege engines and the crafting of his personal crossbow which can reload itself in a matter of seconds. His structural expertise and skill in creating new weapons of war make him invaluable to the kingdom of Garuda. Riley doesn't particularly care what his machines kill so long as he gets paid for it. (When I say machines I mean things like new ballistas. Maybe like a flamethrower machine or something. Ooh, or like hwachas or fireworks in general. If that's okay, of course.)

(;-; That sucks)
Steel glinted and flashed in the light of the flames, her sword a flash of light as the confused paladin nonetheless effortlessly defeated an axe-wielding footman. What in the name of the goddess is going on here? Thought the bronze-plated warrior. Rosalie had simply been passing by when she heard screams and the sounds of battle, and smoke rising in the distance. She came as quickly as she could, but almost no one was here and most of the soldiers seemed confused, leaderless. She imagined this was towards the end of the fight and the people had been evacuated, since she hadn't seen enough bodies in the streets to account for the whole town. Why would Garuda attack this village though? Especially with the truce...
The sound of a blade hissing through the air caused her to whirl around, parrying the clumsy strike with satisfying clash of metal. Another two strokes and the fool was lying in the dust. She said a quick two-line prayer for the fallen warrior and rushed on, trying to find survivors or some clue as to what happened here. Smoke and death seemed to fill the air- the soldiers were clearly burning the village on purpose. Through the haze she thought she saw a person, so she rushed forward only to see a soldier shove someone into the ground. Gritting her teeth in anger she charged at the enemy, smacking him square in the chest with her shoulder and following with a low slash across his belly. The man stepped back in shock, clutching at the wound and wheezing from the impact. He looked into her eyes with equal parts fear and malice, meeting only cold contempt there. Her next blow ended his misery.
The thud of his body against the ground punctuated the sound of her sword sliding into its sheath as she turned to help the person up. She could now see it was a young woman clutching a child. She extended an arm to the woman, noting her bleeding arm and the knife clutched in her hands. "Can you stand? We need to get out of this village. Especially the little one." She said in a voice that was far too calm considering the circumstances. She still had plenty of questions to ask, that was for sure, but she could wait until they were all safe.

What am I going to do? I can't fight, not with the kid in my arms! Bree thought in terror. In any other situation she would have used a bit of fire to scare off the soldier, but she couldn't do that without risking the kid. Suddenly some type of soldier came bursting forward, swiftly killing the man who was about to kill Bree. She blinked when asked if she could stand, feeling a slight surge of annoyance- of course she could stand, why wouldn't she be able to? "I'm fine. Jus' tryin' ta get the kid back to her ma," Bree muttered, not noticing the fact that she was bleeding. The teen got up on two unsteady feet, the little girl clutching onto her so hard that she was pinching skin, but that was alright with Bree. The kid was okay and thats what mattered. Most of her other wounds where hidden by the years of mud caked onto the girl and her long, unruly hair, the only one that could have been noticed was the one where the sword pierced her side, in which a growing red stain was beginning to appear both in the front and the back, but even that was hidden by her holding the kid and the haze around them. She let out a soft cough as smoke got into her lungs, and she heard the little girl cough to. Bree paused, shifting her weight and covered the little girls mouth with some of her dress so she could breath before continuing, not waiting to see if the woman was following her. "The villagers are safe. Come with me." The urchin added, wrinkling her soot-covered nose and started to walk away, teetering slightly as she made her way towards the caves once more, the only thing she noticed was that the cloth she used to wrap her feet was burned away now, leaving her walking practically barefoot in the singed ground..

(Good afternoon! And welcome, Ɗrυηкℓє Qrσω!)
Jahirem was doing her best to make sure the wounds of the villagers weren't too severe. When she saw Almeric thrown off of Mira's wyvern, she ran to him immediately, saying, "Hold still.. This might hurt a little." She hadn't reached the skill level where she could mend broken bones without pain, but she held her stave to his side and started chanting anyways, beginning the healing process as the stave let off a dim glow.
Cadem had gotten into the rhythm of battle. His lance shrugged off blows from swordsmen easily, and he had always found axewielders to be too slow for him. The only thing he was worried about were the archers whose arrows kept denting his armor. It can only take so much before it gives in.. I have to find somewhere out of their reach. He began a defensive retreat, hoping that giving ground to the invaders wouldn't be a mistake. He called backwards to Almeric, "As soon as all the villagers are safe, we need to get out of here. We can't risk our lives for this village!"

(Thanks Bristle (if I can call you that ^.^)! :3)
Rosalie suspected the girl wasn't fine, given her teetering and bleeding all over the place, but this wasn't the time. The armored woman nodded, gripping the hilt of her sword and taking a quick glance around before following suit. She remained silent, keeping a watchful eye on the woman and child in front of her while also looking out for more soldiers. The paladin maintained the silence for a few long moments before asking, "What happened here? Why are these soldiers attacking?" She didn't really expect an easy answer but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Bree looked around at the damage with an uncaring look, shifting the now squirming toddler before shrugging. "I dunno. One minute everyones celebratin', the next theres some sorta guard that told th' royalty to run an' then there's all sortsa fire an' I was told to get 'em to safety" She explained with a shrug, making her way down to the riverbank, tripping on a rock, stumbling slightly but righting herself before the kid hit the ground. She paused at the entrance and she could practically hear a collective breathing in, and she poked her head in the cave, letting out an alarmed noise as a stone hit her in the head, before snapping, "Guys! Its me I have the kid!" She snapped, putting the kid down as the woman dashed to the child, swooping her up in her arms. Bree rubbed her head, which was bleeding a little because of the sharp rock, and looked at the female. "I gotta go find the arrogant little-" She broke off, shaking her head, deciding that it wouldn't be the best idea to call the prince that infront of a soldier. "I gotta go find the prince. You can come if you want. Or stay with th' villagers. Your choice." She said shortly, trying to make her way slowly up the bank, not looking back at the villagers, focusing on what was ahead of her and not behind, hoping she could find either the prince or Cadem soon, surprised that she so quickly found them to be familiar. (I realized I never said welcome XD Welcome!!)

Almeric's vision was quite clearly, however after the girl Eliza had recruited came out of nowhere, and started healing him he was feeling slightly better. "Blasted bandits...." He sighed grabbing his blade, and slamming it into the ground using it to get to his feet. He looked at the girl who healed him. "Thanks." He commented softly his eyes scanning the battlefield for the next enemy. His eyes went to Cadem upon hearing his words a dagger went into his heart. "Abandon, my people!? No I can't." He stated fling his sword to the side in a dynamic manner. "I will not be Almeric the prince who fled." With that he he charged into the battlefield.
He had ran into the village hall when he noticed a woman plaid in dark armor. His eyes went to her, and then back to the girl he just defeated. "N-no..... It can't be... Why send their battle squad?" Almeric questioned watching in fear as the woman made her way over to him. He had heard stories of her might, and well if she was here then his father was surely dead. Gripping his katana he got ready to fight.
"A lil boy lost in a world of monsters." Alexis commented her voice carrying a tint of sadness. "A village lost to the mists, and a lone prince comes to stop the cruel beast. Though he wasn't prepared to fight the beast's master." She chucked taking out her legendary blade Regnis.
Almeric watched her fear growing stronger, however he worked up the urge to charge. However before he could do that a arrow stopped him. Eliza ran inside, and turned to Almeric. "Cadem is right brother, we must retreat!" Eliza commented, and pushed her brother. "I'll hold him off, tell Jarihrem to warp me to safety once you're all free." Eliza commanded before her brother could protest she pushed him out of the building then quickly shot an arrow to block of the entrance.
Now Eliza the archer stood toe to toe with the dark knight Alexis. "Noble of you princess." Alexis commented before charging the princess with her blade at the ready. Eliza booked it up a flight of stairs deciding her best bet was to simply distract the woman until she was warped free, or someone broke the blockade she made, and helped her. She wasn't going to win a one on one fight.

(Sorry for the poof earlier, had some stuff to do in town.) (@ Sweet; Its okay! I didn't really expect a welcome anyways. :P) (@ Bristle; I don't really have a preference for nicknames, call me whatever the heck you want. xP) (@ Ren; Hi!)
The royalty? Why are they here? Rosalie wondered, but didn't say anything. She would get answers to her questions once she reached wherever the villagers were. She followed the other girl closely, wincing in sympathy as a rock hit her square in the head. The woman turned to her and said something about a prince before walking off. She didn't say anything as the girl was already gone. The paladin asked around a bit to try and figure out what was happening. An old man told her something about how the prince and princess were in town and still fighting instead of staying here with the villagers. Judging from the rock-throwing earlier she determined the villagers could defend themselves and that she could afford to head back up to the town. She passed a small dagger to a man near the entrance before jogging out again, hoping to regroup with the other woman and find the embattled royals. Her longsword would do no good in the confines of the cave anyway.
