"Strength is not measured by ones current state, it is measured by the many wounds one has bared through others." - ☣Sнα∂σωƒα¢є☣
Hello, welcome to my author page! The purpose of this thread is to let you all get to know me better as a person, and to showcase the type of author I am. I know currently I'm super well-known for my story Curse which is a part of a seven novel series titled Clans of the Valley that I've been working on for the past six years, but I want to be able to step away from that spot light and return to solid ground (if that makes any sense. o.o). In other words, you could also say this is my "library for non-CotV things" where I will also make a section for stories that I have read, will be reading, or have really liked. This thread is not about my series or how "amazing" I write. It is only to let y'all get to know me on a better level, to showcase my other "non-CotV" writing projects, and to return some of the love I have been shown to you all. (:
Thanks for stopping by!

"I'm not as great as everyone thinks I am. I know my potential to become a monster. This is why I say I have already found my true self, so that I have the excuse to stop searching, in fear of finding that dark creature within my soul." - ☣Sнα∂σωƒα¢є☣ About the author 'Shadowface' It's been a journey to say the least. I change just as much as the fall leaves change colors. Only one thing has held steady: I have always had a passion for the Earth in almost everything: from the animals to the land and sea and even to the underground workings of our planet. Currently I am trying to major in seismology and geophysics. I have a hard case of obsession with earthquakes and volcanoes. You will see many of these landmarks in my stories. I find them fascinating not just for their plain magnificence, but for how they make the earth feel alive. That everything beneath your feet is moving and bubbling and colliding.
Of course I love writing. It didn't used to be such a big thing for me until the seventh grade when my English teacher suggested I try advanced English classes which I did for the rest of my education. Stories I've always had an affinity for. I was the idea generator for me and my friends when we role-played or when we played with toys when I was very young. It was easy to imagine worlds and plots and characters that could take the spotlight. I contribute this to my early reading experiences. My first chapter book that I ever read was "Into the Wild" by Erin Hunter. I was mesmerized and could not put the Warrior Cat Series down. That was back in the first grade. Before that I despised reading!
Stories are my lifeblood. TV shows, movies, books, writing: all my hobbies include some form of story telling. Even Geology encompasses story telling. Look at any rock layer and you know there is a story behind it. If you see an entire cut out with many layers, you can re-count the history of that area back thousands of years. Floods, droughts, plants, animals: everything. It's very fun to piece the puzzle together and imagine how one place used to be like.
Now that my interests are out of the way, I might as well get a little personal. I don't like judgmental people. By nature everyone is a little judgmental, but I'm talking about the people that show or vocalize it. It's the one thing that makes me self-conscious. Being judged by strangers or peers. And it's not always judging about looks or what I say; it's assumptions. When people assume you must know something or that your life must be a certain way because of how you act, dress, or even where you live...that makes me loose faith in humanity. Why assume anything when you don't know the person? Why accuse someone of something because of their race, color, or ethnicity? Why point fingers when you have nothing substantial to point at?
Basically, what I want to do, is remove that. Here are a few things about me that may give you a better idea about who I am.
What I believe: 1. I believe fate can always be changed.
2. I believe everyone has a choice, but those choices can be limited by many circumstances.
3. I believe shedding tears is not a sign of weakness.
4. I believe that no single human being is purely good or evil. What I don't claim to know: 1. I don't claim to know whether a God or an afterlife exists.
2. I don't claim to know what it's like to be a victim of someone else.
3. I don't claim to know whether true love exists or not. What I do know: 1. I do know that there are good people out there.
2. I do know what it's like to be a victim of myself. Take these however you want. I am simply sharing this to the people who follow me whether as a friend, fan, or 'successor'. I hope to get people to better understand who I am as a person, other than some "amazing writer who must be good at everything in her life." (Seriously, I've read that exact phrase numerous times on other threads. o3o It's flattering, but not true for anyone.)

"The voices in my head are deafening. They scream, shout, cry; their songs echoing in the void of my mind. They whisper tales of far away lands and imagined worlds. Places of danger and intrigue. I wonder what this imagination could bring, and of all the possibilities...so many ideas and dreams - will they ever become a reality?" - ☣Sнα∂σωƒα¢є☣The Stories that I Follow
Below will be a long list of stories that I am currently TRYING to keep up with and do read every once in a while. Obviously these are highly recommended. (: The Stories that I Must Follow
Below will be a list of stories that have been recommended to me, or ones that I have seen and plan to read sometime in the future. Obviously, these are also highly recommended. :'P

ч ø υ я ł α и đ ı и g... W I P [/p] * These are just guidelines to follow when creating your dragon! They do not have to be all one color, or even have the same type of horns or body types. What remains the same is their Elemental mark and their powers. F i r eFire dragons are generally hostile, strongly opinionated, and fiercely territorial. A fire dragon can be identified by its long, fire colored wings and two long horns. Tiny flames often dance in their nostrils when they get angry. It's easy to tell when their near because they reek of smoke and sulfur. Strengths include very swift flying, resistance to heat, and ability to breathe a deadly fire; a feat even young dragons can perform. The older a dragon gets, the hotter, larger, and more damaging their flame. Older dragons can spew a fire so hot that they can melt metals. The oldest dragon; the first fire dragon, has blue fire. Their only weakness is a greed for shiny treasure. Don't be surprised to find that many Fire dragons are hoarders! Opposite power: IceRarity: Common I c eIce dragons are generally calm, collected, and very, very wise. Ice dragons are known for their longevity, and also for their beauty. Most Ice dragons carry sparkling, frosty white scales adorned with many icy spikes along their spines, tail, and head. Ice dragons are naturally cold to the touch, and they have strengths that include stealth, patience, and the ability to breathe a fierce icy blast. Young dragons can only breathe supper cold blasts of air, like a blizzard, but once they practice and become older, they can freeze their attackers. At a certain age Ice dragons can even summon icy spikes that can act has throwing knives from their tails. Their only weakness is their temper. Disgrace any of these icy dragons and you may just end up with a glacier spike stuck in your rump! Opposite Power: FireRarity: Common E a r t hEarth dragons are generally down to earth, humble, and stubborn. They can be identified by their large, muscular frames and compact body structure. Their horns are generally curved at the ends, or even as intricately curved as rams horns. Some even carry stony clubs on the tip of their tails. Earth dragons have strengths involving camouflage due to their earthly colored scales, brute strength, and the ability to produce quakes by slamming any part of their body against the ground. The older the dragon the larger the quake. Also, when they reach of age, an Earth dragon can "breathe" or "shriek" high frequency sound waves that can cause mountains to crumble among many other destructive results. Despite their rough exterior, Earth dragons have a soft spot for the small and weaker species and/or types of dragons. They would rather defend to the last breath than turn around and save themselves.Opposite Power: WindRarity: Common W i n dWind dragons are known to be playful, care-free, and sticky tricksters. Rarely will you ever come face to face with one as they prefer to fly over head at untraceable speeds, reeking havoc wherever their boredom or curiosity leads them. Even though their element may be gentle, their appearance and attitude says other wise. They can be identified by their streamline, fan like wings and their thin spikes that can be laid flat against their bodies for flight, or lifted and poised for a fight. The colors of their scales can range from a foggy grey to a bright sky blue. Strengths include being the fastest flyers in the dragon world, daring bravery, and their ability to breath strong gusts of wind; able to knock even earth dragons off their feet. Older wind dragons can summon storms like tornadoes or hurricanes, and even change the trajectory of the weather. Their one weakness is tight spaces. Get them trapped, and they will become insane, un-communicative, and even dangerous. Enough so to hurt themselves or those around them.Opposite Power: EarthRarity: Common L i g h tLight dragons are noble, gentle, and guiding. Meeting one and befriending them is said to be good luck. Along with it's opposite, Shadow, Light is the oldest element among the big six. Recognizable by their light flashy colors, soft feather-like spines, and glowing aura, it's hard to mistake them for anything else. Their strengths include loyalty, speed, and the ability to literally blind their enemies. The older they get, the more permanent the blindness is on their enemies. They can also manipulate light sources around them, and the oldest light dragons can even manipulate the sun. They have an uncanny weakness to forget many things that their told, and need constant reminders. Leave the knowledge and wisdom to the Ice Dragons.Opposite Power: ShadowRarity: Semi-Common S h a d o w Shadow dragons are cunning, level-headed, and mysterious. Not much can be said about these lurkers in the night, for they prefer to stay out of the spotlight. Like Light, Shadow is the oldest element among the big six. Light and Shadow came first, and have always been side by side. Shadow and Light dragons tend to stay as far away from each other as possible. Shadow dragons can be identified by their foggy black forms that seem to fade in and out around the edges. Their usually pitch black to a dull stone grey; any dull color that is void of bright hues. On rare occasions you may meet a white shadow dragon, but these are some of the less dangerous types because you can almost always spot them. Their strengths include invisibility within the shadows, politics, and the ability to shape-shift into another shadowy shape. Older dragons can shape-shift into more solid forms, and even use their shadowy gifts to engulf their enemies in a black paralysis state. Their only weakness is themselves...
