(Ah, a chill afternoon. It sounds so nice. Haha.) (Hm. I vote let's continue. If you want, though, we could pretend it's a little later in the school year, not, like, the first week. I'll leave that up to you while I find out last post.)

(Hi, everyone!) Clover: Logan clicked his tongue and shook his head. "That's just...un-American, Audrey. You're crazy," he chuckled. He directed her around a couple more turns until they pulled up in front of the arcade, which was attached to a bowling alley and a bar that served overly greasy food. "Ta-da! You ready to lose some arcade games, Bright?" he challenged, unbuckling his seatbelt.

[ yea I'm cool with having it be later on c: ]
[ Audrey Bright ] "Not on your life," she said as she turned off the car and hopped out of the car. She clicked the tag twice and the car gave a small honk, reassuring her it was indeed locked. "What gave you that bright idea?" She asked, her eyes sparkling in amusement. The last name Bright gave her one to many opportunities to make a pun, and after hearing them for years she'd finally hopped on board. If someone would make a pun about her name, it was going to be her. She turned to look at the arcade and smiled a little to herself, it wasn't nearly as sophisticated as most places she went to with friends. Of course that was assuming you could count a diner as sophisticated, but it was more than this.

(Cool beans. I just don't want to be stuck on the first day anymore, you know? Ha ha. So in that vein, do we wanna say Logan and Audrey have hung out before, or no? It probably doesn't matter that much, I just like knowing details.) Logan laughed as he got out of the car. "I see what you did there." He walked a few steps toward the door, obviously thinking, then grinned. "I guess I'm just not that bright." He pulled open the door for her, the followed her inside. The place smelled like cheese and something Logan could only describe as old metal, but it was staffed by fairly respectable-looking people and the games were awesome. "What first?"

[ good afternoon everyone! yeah! that sounds good to me, maybe they could hang out a couple times before ]
[ Audrey Bright ] "Why thank you," Audrey said with a soft chuckle as he opened the door for her. She glanced around the dimly lit room, considering their options. It smelled old, as something she could only identify as cheese. She wondered briefly if that smell was here before they moved in, or it was caused by the arcade. "Well I do remember you degrading my non existent air hockey skills," she teased as her eyes landed on the table not far away.

Logan grinned. "That I did. You've met your match, woman. Come on." He moved to the bright green air hockey table in the middle of the room and fed a couple quarters into it. It turned on with a soft whoosh. Logan grabbed the thin puck and the shooter before they could go sliding off. He held out the puck to Audrey. "Ladies first."

[ hey, what's going on? ] Audrey laughed and followed him to the air hockey table. She took the puck with a smile and said teasingly, "What a gentleman." She set it down on the table and watched it hover for a moment before lightly hitting it across the table. It pinged rather loudly against the side of the table and she smiled slightly. "I haven't played this in ages, not since I was ten." She was definitely going to lose, but at least she would lose admirably. If that was a thing.

(Hey, Clover. Not much. What's up with you?)
Logan chuckled. "I try." His lips curved into a smile, and he quickly shot the straying puck back toward her. "I haven't played in awhile either. Don't worry, only really obsessive players are actually good at this game."

[ same cx pretty excited to be on spring break tho ] "Good to know," she said with a chuckle. The puck knocked off of her paddle and slid across the rim of the board and towards her goal. In a panic she tried to hit it away, but only ended up knocking it in (something I can sympathize with, literally i could not play air hockey without doing this once). "Well OK. I mean at least I scored first, I guess?"She pulled the puck out and let it glide across the table again.

(I believe it! Haha.)
(PADDLE! That's the word! I was seriously struggling to remember what that stinking thing was called!)
Logan just laughed, half a dozen comebacks flying through his mind. But he decided not to needle her, at least, not too much. "Way to look for the silver lining," he laughed, then smirked at her. "But I still get the point." He hit the puck with his own paddle once it came in range, sending it shooting off the edges of the table.

[ hey summer! xD I feel that, it took me ten minutes to remember the word for goal ] She frowned slightly in a teasing way, glad he hadn't poked fun at her mishap." Well that's not very fair, I'm pretty sure I did all the work," she said with a laugh. She wasn't able to react fast enough to hit the puck, far more interested in talking to him. That was probably why she lost so many games like this, she got distracted easy. Lucky for her the puck merely whizzed along the edges, enabling her to hit it away the moment it was far enough from the goal.

She wasn't the only one who was distracted. Audrey has deigned to hang out with Logan a few times in the past couple weeks, but still, she was a very distracting young lady. Her eyes, her freckles, her lips, the sound of her laugh, the way her fingers twitched when she was daydreaming, about paintings he assumed. But he didn't want her to think he was some weirdo who couldn't play air hockey, because of course air hockey was a very macho man sport just designed to impress the ladies. Plus he enjoyed the game. So he tried to keep his eyes on the puck and just barely kept it out of his own goal. "Take that!"
