Button-making is so much fun though! At the art museum near where I live, they had this button-machine-thingy, and I made like five. I should have made one for my comic.

I should have made one for my comic. I'm not selling them yet ahah only the one exists for the moment! I made some other buttons (unrelated to my comics) that i'll be selling at my school's art sale, and i'll see how much people are willing to pay for those buttons. and by that, i'll see if I wanna sell comic merch!

I was joking about the buttons, but it's cool that you're actually selling some! I'd love to sell some of my art.

Motivation... the constant struggle. At least with me. What about you? It comes and goes. Lately I've had a random desire to reread Warriors, so maybe my motivation will return along with that. Unfortunately, all my books are at home, but maybe I can find them as ebooks... like i have time to read ahaha

hokay i might have just died a little on the inside, cause for some godawful reason i decided to do something like 'huh, we're on page 35 of this Yin and Yang, i wonder what page 35 of the original looked like' and then i died. ohmygosh it's such a cringe-fest. i can't even describe the horror and I don't want to put you guys through that, (and plus, spoilers) so I'm not gonna show you. I'll suffer this alone
Surprisingly, though, i'm somewhat on track for where the story was. Like, reeeally loosely. What's going on on page 35 of the original will happen at the end of this chapter.
the original Yin and Yang was so #edgy why was i like this someone tell me it was so bad why was it even popular i don't understand like yeah I appreciate it for giving me my start but if i saw it today and I wasn't me, of course, i would be like haha no i'm not reading that
but yeah i'm so glad it's being remade, like it needed this
maybe one day i'll show you guys some of the original, but like... i don't want you guys to suffer maybe i'll do a comparison piece or something... re-do a page... hmmm..

still internally barfing over here over my old art but i did discover something cool page number counts! so
Yin and Yang (original): 108 pages Broken Wings: 100 pages The Unforgiven: 154 pages Skyfall: 129 pages
I honestly don't know how many pages this Yin and Yang remake will be, but it'll probably be between 100 and 200, but don't quote me on this either lol

oh my gosh
i just discovered the most terrible thing about this whole ordeal of me looking at the original Yin and Yang today
it shows the dates
if they're correct (i'm assuming they are, they seem to be) the first page was made 8/12/2010
the last one was 12/30/2010
that was five months i did a whole flipping 108 page comic in five months
what in the world that is so astronomical i can't even imagine who was I
Broken Wings was 5/23/2011 to 9/8/2011 THAT'S ANOTHER FIVE MONTHS WHAT IS THIS
The Unforgiven went 1/16/2012 to 3/19/13 that's seven, which is a bit better
BUT
though I can't find the original date for it, Skyfall went from 2014 to 2016.
THREE. HECKING. YEARS.
Who even knows how long the remake of YY will take. I don't have the original files, they're copied from my old computer back home, so I don't know. I don't even remember if it started at the beginning or end of summer last year, and of course since we journeyed to this forums, I don't have the date... the point is, it's been a while already.
It's okay though, I recognize that I'm busier now, and the pages, plot, and characters get more and more complicated with each comic I do. So of course they would last longer.
Still. i can't hecking believe i did the original Yin and Yang and also Broken Wings in five months each. What even. And oddly enough, it feels like The Unforgiven took longer than seven. Maybe it's just because Skyfall took so freakin long that that's all I can remember. Skyfall took for freakin ever
Anyway, I'm just looking through my files, I'll let you guys know if I find more cool stuff

O.o How can you finish a comic in such a sort amount of pages? I need to count how many mine has. But I'm not even half way through yet.Any advice you can give me about planning a comic? I don't even know my man. In truth, espeically with the original Yin and Yang and also Broken Wings, the stories were fairly simple? So maybe that added to it. On the other hand, The Unforgiven and Skyfall had complicated plots and more characters, so they have a lot more pages than the first two. and as for advice... my main thing that I tell people is to have your story planned out before you start. Like, even have it scripted (this can be general as in "Yangpaw gets a tour of the territory" to having like dialogue scripted like a play). You can do whatever you want with it. Just have it all thought out, so you don't have to worry about getting stuck in the middle. My other piece of advice is to make it a story that you want to tell. That's what's keeps me going sometimes with all my comics. Like, I want to tell these stories, I want people to listen to them. Make it fun for you, too. Or else you'll find it a chore and don't want to do it anymore. Of course, all comics slump sometimes, and it'll feel like work, but that's something you gotta work through. I always tell myself, "geez this part is so terrible and slow and the backgrounds are so boring, but I can't wait to get to this later part! So I gotta keep going to get there!" So yeah, I hope that helps! Just keep at it, plan your story well, and make it a story you want to tell! I believe in you, my dude! Go out there and comic away!

Maybe if it was a short comic...
Thanks for the advice. Hopefully how I've planned it out in fan fiction form will be enough until I get to the ending. I have a lot of background to cover, since it heavily ties in with a one-shot series I have. I may need a second opinion one of these days to see if the comic can be read without having read the one-shots. >.< So much history and not enough characters isn't very helpful either. At least I really want to tell the story, so that's covered. I wanted to tell the story so badly when I was on the WCF, and I had a trying experience with the mods of the Art Forums, I just turned it into a fan fiction and a series of one-shots. Now I'm trying to change it back here.
