Roni Axton
Roni was exhausted; it was sort of painful to breathe, but that wasn’t necessarily unusual. Lou had been gravely injured, so it had taken a lot of energy to heal him. “I’m fine,” she huffed, waving her hand in Lou’s direction. “I just need like, a five minute nap and maybe a snack, and I’ll be fine.” Ciaran frowned at her, giving her an intense look. She simply raised an eyebrow, scooped herself off the floor and flopped down on the couch with a huff. She sprawled out, sighing in relief as the couch slowly began to swallow her in its lovely cushions. She closed her eyes, but kept half of her attention on the conversation around her. Riley was pissed off at Lou, but Lou was being his normal self. The scent of feline assaulted Roni’s senses, but she tried to ignore it. Ciaran had offered the two cats sanctuary, and while Roni would offer her advice, she would not question her alpha’s decision when it came to the two rogue shifters. As she listened to Ciaran bark out orders, she gradually began to doze off. Skylar came barging in, stirring Roni for a moment. She opened one eye, watching as Skylar marched up to the taller female and demanded to know what she was doing here. Roni huffed out a soft chuckle in amusement, and then closed her eyes again. She'd get up to move in a second. She would. She totally would.

Ciaran Roan
Ciaran watched quietly as Roni drug herself to the massive couch and plopped down, almost instantly falling asleep. There air was still thick with the scent of blood, and the carpet would need a good scrubbing where Lou had been sprawled. He glared at the shifter. “Next time, you wait for reinforcements,” he growled. While he was normally a laid back alpha, and didn’t pull rank very often, the situation was tense due to the fact that Lou had very nearly been killed, and that there were two unfamiliar shifters in his living room right now. “Don’t do anything stupid.” He switched his icy gaze to the female that his wolf was enamored with right now, watching as she pulled herself to her full height and easily asserted her dominance over Skylar. Thomsin. It suited her, somehow. Her scent was enticing, and his wolf wanted to roll around in it like a love-sick puppy. It was dumb, and pathetic, and it made Ciaran want to kick his wolf’s backside for acting like an idiot. She smelled of flowers, of lavender and vanilla and something exotic, like hibiscus or something. It was intoxicating, and Ciaran knew that he could breathe in that scent all day and never get tired of it. She was beautiful, the alpha admitted to himself, as he eyed her carefully. She was lithe and agile, and her pale complexion made it seem like California was an odd location for her to be. He cocked his head to the side, breathing in her scent. It smacked in him the face, stirring his wolf’s desire and his own. He growled to himself and crossed his arms over his chest.
“Skylar, chill,” he muttered. “Lou’s fine. Roni healed him.” The female standing behind Thomsin was dwarfed by her, but she scowled at Skylar nonetheless, as if she were offended the red-head had tried to scare her off.

Imani Cairne
Imani scowled at the red-head who was practically bristling and had the audacity to try and assert her dominance. Tom more or less told her to go away, but Imani was still annoyed. That is, until the mortally wounded person coughed and then spoke, cracking a joke. Imani’s brow furrowed and she stared at the man, who was only a few inches taller than she was. He was obviously crazy, if he felt it necessary to joke when he’d almost been murdered by the extremists. She was annoyed, but she understood, in a way. Humor was practically the only way to deal with such a situation, and thinking back on the predicament she’d been in just a few short hours ago, it was probably amusing. It would’ve been an interesting sight, to see Imani’s five-foot tiny frame shoved in the back of a closet, crouch in the top shelf. She was still sore, and her muscles were still cramping. She needed to sleep, but her cat wanted out, to explore the new territory they were on, but Imani didn’t think it was safe. She gave Lou a look that said she clearly thought he was insane, and then returned her attention to the alpha.
“Riley, get Lou to his room,” Ciaran ordered. “While you’re at it, show these two females to one of the guest rooms, too. Get settled, and we’ll talk later. Morrow, Skylar, you’re with me. We need to secure the territory, and make sure those extremists haven’t broken through. Once you’re done, join us, Riley.”
